This place has gone under since Tina left. I would come here every two weeks. I live two blocks from this place and I used to walk there. Now I just jump in my car and drive 10 miles to get my nails done somewhere else.. They totally messed up on my nails my shellac chipped the same day and my pedicure paint chipped. I returned the following day and they had no customers and it took them 2 hours to fix what they messed up and my nails chipped two days later.. Unfortunately these guys don't do a good job. I love, love, love this place! Tina is one of the sweetest women I have ever met and I've been going to her loyally for almost 5 years now. She does a fantastic job with the manis and pedis but what's most amazing about the experience is the massage you get. It is absolutely a "spa pedicure" that you could pay 55 or 60 bucks for elsewhere- to get it from her for $15 is just a steal! Try this place if you're in the neighborhood, you won't be disappointed. Im as picky as it gets when it comes to nails services. I found this place after walking by in my neighborhood and thought it was cute. After reading reviews, I decided to give it a try. I called to make an appt today and got in at 2pm. Emily runs her own cute shop solo, so this works best to call ahead. Not only was Emily accommodating to me being 9mths expecting, but also to my dog who I randomly brought in. I would say to ask first since I may have just been lucky due to being the only one in there, but Emily made us feel like family. The service was efficient, chair was comfy, massage very good, and I opted to try gel on my toes for the first time and they look fantastic. 27 bucks for the best mani pedi I've had in San Diego! The shop is very quaint and bright. The massage chair didn't kill my back like at most places. The lady who works there solo is super nice too. Awesome Pedicure! Just under an hour to get it. I upgraded to the sea salt scrub and callous removal. At $25, it's a no-brainer. The space is small, just two pedicure stations and one nail station, which is great because it's quiet and relaxing. Dark Horse Coffee is right next door, so I grabbed a cuppa before my pedicure. I will be going back again. I plan on becoming a regular. =) read more

This is a one person run/owned business. You will need to make an appointment in advance. Tina is very clean and hygiene oriented. She times the disinfectant for the foot spa and keeps records (unlike many of the other businesses). My nails always look great. The gel manicure lasts 12-14 days without any chipping. read more

Phouvone purchased Emily Nails several years ago. She really cleaned the place up, which made a huge difference for me. Phouvone does meticulous work. If you get a pedicure, she provides an incredible foot and leg massage. She will always find a way to fit you into her busy schedule. Additionally, she is one of the kindest people I have ever met. Tina is gone. The shop is under new management. Tina had been doing my nails for 13 years. She was fantastic, the best! The new ones? Awful job. Both fingers and toes are a huge disappointment. Nice girls, but not good work. Misshaped my fingernails even after I pointed it out repeatedly. Hardly any attention to my toes. Looks like a little kid did them. Polish on my skin. Tina is terriffic. I know it is not the norm for men to get pedicures, but it is so worth it. Tina has a small salon with just one chair so it is easy to go there as a man. I love it and the foot, calf rub is alone worth the price of the service. read more

Emily is very good at acrylics. She is happy and cheerful and can do a fill in about an hour. I will be returning.
