I went to just get a manicure to remove the old gel to be able to put the new gel. The woman put this old clumpy acid gel remover and used an electric nail file to remove the old gel. At one point I realized she filed down sides of my natural nails down on three fingers which I've been trying to grow out for three weeks for my daughters wedding. Than the older woman took over to try to fix my nails but at one point she cut me when she was trimming my cuticles. It went from bad to worse!!!! Then they still wanted to charge me full price so I told them I get a discount and they could take it or leave it! I had to go somewhere else to fix it and it cost me $55 more on top of $25 of what I paid Emily's salon. Also they filed the tops of my nails down so much at the other salon when they put my hand under the UV light it burned. Worst experience ever at a nail salon! read more

I came here after work to have my dip powder removed. I've never had dip powder done before so I wasn't sure of the removal process. The technician used another acrylic nail to tear the dip powder from my nail. I thought it was okay bc it didn't hurt too bad and I thought it was the right way to remove them. I've been googling this afterward bc my nails are so thin and a little bit in pain! I found out they weren't supposed to tear them off like that :( they were supposed to be filed and soaked off. So first time I came my toe was cut .... I always try things/places at least twice... My office is crossing the street from here so I decided to give it another try. Middle of my service my manicurist leaves me to the lady that had cut my toes the first time around. I must admit I was a little nervous. She didn't paint my hands evenly.... I chose the same glitter as my jars for my toes but even though no one else was sainting the pedicurist was unable to wait for that polish to became available. I'm now walking out with unevenly painted hands and in my perspective an exaggerated glitter in my toes. No worries I only have 2 parties this weekend. Won't come back. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! Do not trust them when they say they can do a design. You'll spend 4 HOURS only to walk out with clear acrylics because they cant do what they said they would. I asked for a basic ombre look but they couldn't deliver. I got here on a Saturday at 1:45pm. They spent an hour and a half on the pedi. I didn't get anything special other than callus removal. Why do they take so long? I picked my color fast. At 3:15pm, I got a wax done, and they started the nails around 3:40pm. I didn't walk out until 6pm and ruined my date night. Instead of using dip powder for ombre acrylics, she spent most of the time dabbing color on the nail with a tiny sponge like a hundred times per nail. So frustrating! I wish I could get my time back and never step foot here again. I came back to have them fix it and they still didn't give me what I wanted. You know its intimidating being in these nail salons. I wish I didn't pay them but I did because I was too nice! Ladies, take it from me, if you didn't get what you asked for after they said they could, just walk out. She spreaded callus remover and wrapped with with plastic wrap. It's all good until I saw the worker wearing the gloves. Hey, it's good that they were using gloves. But not yellow dishwashing gloves. These are my feet not my pots and pans. I liked how the worker was quiet so I didn't have to pretend I was reading or texting. But she kept smiling and staring at me. Great magazine selections here. There were some odd decorations like scary fingers and waterfall but just like your typical nail salon. I paid with Discover card and they said they didn't take discover card. I tried this nail place yesterday because they had a big sign advertising a Mani &Pedi for $40. I thought my pedicure was good but while I was trying to tell them the color I wanted they didn't seem to be following what I was saying, which was frustrating. They kept giving me a different color pink than the number I picked and didn't understand when I was trying to tell them I wanted one that wasn't so "bubble gum" and that's why I picked the # I did from the samples they have that was more of a bright coral pink. Oh well, but then the manicurist kept knicking me with the cuticle remover and didn't even acknowledge it even though there's clearly blood on my finger nail.. and I am not that sensitive to that either I usually don't mind a little discomfort when nail places remove my cuticles. Then, at the end, I noticed she kept going over the nails with the polish excessively and it was totally uneven how she was building the coat. Not a sleek finish at all and the pictures don't even fully show the flaws but it looks like my 15 year old self applied this polish. I didn't even let her touch it up with the polish remover at the end because I just wanted to go. During my experience, I noticed 2 other customers come in who seemed to be regulars so maybe I just had an off experience but I was very unimpressed and won't go out of my way to come back. read more

Let me start by saying if I could give zero stars...I would. I came in in October to get a pedicure because my usual place was booked. I will never ever ever go to a random nail salon again without knowing what they are like. This pedicure has been the most expensive pedicure I've ever gotten. For one, they charge more than my regular place. Not only that but they don't do half as good of a job. My paint chipped within a week. It was also an incredibly expensive pedicure because I had to get surgery on my toe because of the infection caused by them. My toe became infected because they tried to "pull out an ingrown." First of all, I rarely get ingrown nails. Also, even if I did have an ingrown they should not have been digging that deep for one. I know for a fact I got this injury from them because my toe started hurting the same exact day after having no prior pain. I have yet to discuss this with the owners because I have been busy taking care of my own well-being but I discourage everyone and anyone considering coming here. read more

I went in for a manicure and removal of my acrylics. Instead of soaking them off, they pried them off which was incredibly uncomfortable and quite painful. Then they proceeded to drill down my nail beds paper thin. She saw two of my fingers were very irritated and bleeding and still proceeded to push back my cuticles and put alcohol all over them. I said I didn't want gel anymore because I knew how bad the UV light was gonna sting on my injured fingers and they seemed annoyed by it and started rushing. My fingers ache from how thin my nails are and how many cuts I was left with. One day later and the nail polish chipped too. I've never had a worse experience than this, go somewhere else. read more

I wanted to check out a new nail salon just for the heck of it. I had to swing by the post office first so this nail salon was right in the vicinity. I had a gel mani/pedi. The gel color selections are limited and the quality of the gel nail polish they use is very cheap. How cheap you ask, well, my gel mani chipped within two days! Now, I am the type of person that likes customer service and I do consider myself a very generous tipper when someone makes the effort to say more than 2 words to you in a hour. Went here for the first time a few days ago, and let me tell you, it was one of the best nail salon experiences I have ever had! I was seated right away and asked what type of manicure I wanted and what color. As soon as I picked the color, the pampering began. My nails were shaped to perfection and my cuticles were trimmed to perfection. My gel manicure was done with great precision, and I was thankful that my technician took the time to trim my nails continuously to make sure they were the shape I wanted. I work near the salon and needed a simple manicure to clean up my nails and put on a new color....I couldn't regret my decision to not travel further to a different salon....the woman while cleaning up my cuticles went up entirely too far from my nail bed and cut the hell out of my finger. Needless to say I was not happy in the least and I've had it where it gets a bit cut around the edge and causes some pain or stings when alcohol is later applied....this was and is completely different. I still don't even understand how it even happened. To make matters worse there is blood under my nail polish and had to ask the lady multiple times to clean the blood off my nail bed before applying nail polish to which she acted as if the request was odd. From there she applied neosporin to my nail and entire nail bed then again attempted to apply nail polish, to which I had to ask her to clean the neosporin off before applying the nail polish as it likely would not adhere, she then removed half of the neosporin from my nail bed....to which the cycle of explanation on my part had to repeat. The only reason to go here is that their chairs are nicer than most in the Tustin area. The pedicure was mediocre and the lady gave me a disgusted look when I tipped her $3 on a pedicure. She didn't talk to me at all other than asking me if I wanted a flower. They don't use packets of the tools that prove they were disinfected. If in Tustin go to K K Nails & Spa at 13430 Newport Avenue. They do a much better job and I only didn't go there because they were busy. read more
