UPDATE: there is now pus coming out of the side of the toe that was cut!!!! Yesterday I was across the street and decided to get a pedicure. I called to see if they accepted walk-ins since it was close by. Although I had read the reviews, I'm the type of person who likes to try things for myself and form my own opinion. The lady on the phone was very nice and said they had availability. When I arrived, I waited about 4 minutes while they got the person who would be doing my pedicure. I was on limited time, so when they asked what I was getting done, I told them just a pedicure. They suggested I get my nails done too, so I asked how long it would take if I did both. They said they could do them at the same time, so I agreed. The lady who did my pedicure was so nice. She took her time and asked about the color and shade I wanted, definitely a sweetheart. Although I did get cut on my big toe (and it still hurts and is a bit swollen), I think she did a great job aside from that. I believe her name was Daisy. However, the lady who did my nails was a bit aggressive and rushed the entire time. I told her I wanted my natural nails with a burgundy gel color. She started prepping my nails, but then I saw her take out a box of fake nails. I got confused and told her I didn't want acrylics. She said, "Oh no, don't worry, this isn't acrylic--you're okay." I repeated that I just wanted gel polish on my natural nails, and she insisted that what she was doing was better and would protect my nails. At that point, I didn't want to argue, so I let it go, but it was not what I asked for. As she continued, she asked what color I wanted, and I told her I wanted the same burgundy as my toes. The person doing my pedicure was still using that color, so instead she grabbed a red polish and started painting my nails. That completely threw me off, no one has ever done that before. I assumed it was just a base layer and that she would finish with the correct color, which she eventually did. On top of that, my nails came out thick and messy. There was polish on the edges of my nails and even on the back of my fingers. For some reason, she also filled the back of my right thumbnail with glue, so now it's bulky underneath. For all of this, I paid $122 plus a $25 tip, totaling $147 for a set of nails that I didn't even ask for and that turned out poorly. I'm not the type to argue unless necessary, but now I have to find another place to remove these nails and get what I originally wanted. Also, I didn't receive a receipt showing the breakdown of the services. Overall, please listen to the reviews. I originally asked for an ombré-style nail set, but unfortunately I wasn't happy with how it turned out, so I kindly asked if we could switch to something else. I then asked for a cat eye set, which I've gotten here before and previously loved. Unfortunately, this time I was really disappointed with the result. SCAM! I've been here about 3 times and every single time i've left feeling robbed. I asked for a fill on my gel x set and had her cut them down and asked for a design... ok but what was repaired??? BS! I'm also pregnant so i decided to spoil myself with a VIP pedicure, first of all i get charged for her to remove my old color.. that i got with them lol but second of all come to find out the lady added acrylic to my big toe without my permission which is the reason for the "repair" fee on the pedi. RIDICULOUS AF! and the cherry on top that disposable file they give you at the end you assume is free? NOPE! they charge you for it. In my case they charge me 2x because they used one for my pedi and one for my mani, not only are we paying for an expensive ass service but we're also paying for the products they use on us without knowledge. and then if you look at the bottom they still charged me AGAIN for the files as a "product fee" this place is ridiculous. I got gel-x and a gel pedicure and was literally in and out in an hour! Lisa did my gel-x and Daisy did my pedicure and they're both really sweet. All of the ladies here seem nice and speak English fairly well. I'm not sure how I feel the gel x quite yet or how long it's going to last but I believe I was overcharged...$15 alone for just designs and $50 alone for gel-x when I was told it starts at $30? Overall, their prices are expensive. It was $32 for a pedicure + $10 for gel + $5 for gel take off.... One thing I thought was really weird is they give you a file/buffer set to keep, and also will charge you $1 for it...and it's advised you bring it back or else you'll be charge $1... Only come here if you want to spend an arm and a leg. Board says $30 for pedicure but my total ended up being $75, not sure why that was as I only got a basic pedicure with French tip. This is my first time coming in so this was already nerve wracking for me. I was already having a bad day and I had to get rid of my old nails that I got done with my personal nail lady (home based). The reason why I couldn't go to her was because she was booked and lives an hour away. Anywho, I come in and I did get greeted nicely, cool you earn a star. And not only that but I only needed to wait a good 10-15 mins as a walk in, you earned another star. Once I sat in the chair to get my nails done, no conversation whatsoever. Never asked how I am, never asked why did I come in, never even asked if the sky was green today. It was so so awkward! The drilling on my nails hurt so badly to the point I wanted to leave. I didn't care if they were bare. What set me off the most was that since these were gel-x nails, the lady took off everything except for the glue! And she was ready to put on nail polish WHILE THERES STILL GLUE ON MY NAIL-- I legit had to tell her that's there's still glue on my nail and she looked pissed as if that's not her job? She still nail polished my nails with glue on top of it and sent me away. Btw they're very sneaky on pricing. What can be done? How about following basic health code procedures and stop cutting corners. 1. The filter was not cleaned after each use, in fact it had orange slim. (2) the foot bath was not sanitized in between customers, I watched as it was cleaned with a paper towel, water and the towel used to dry my feet (3) emery board should not be reused. (4) tools should be disinfected in between customers. Then to add insult you ask that I pay in cash or be charged a fee for using my ATM. Because the $110 I just paid was not enough? $185 for two Mani Pedi and a couple dipped nails that turned out really bad. I don't think I can go back after today. I put my trust in them to do my nails professionally, but the level of work was very low. I'm only complaining about my hands, and about the price for the work that was done. So two of my nails on my right hand were short and the rest were long. I didn't care that they would be uneven in the end result. The lady asked if I wanted the two uneven nails to match my longer nails and I said yes if that's possible. I didn't ask for the price ( which I probably should have. My right hand had 3 uneven nails so she would do the same process. My nails were dipped and then "reshaped" but they definitely don't look the same as my natural nails. My biggest issue is that when it came to the color not only did she only do 2 coats but never painted up to the edge of my nail. Why would I have to ask to have that done? Shouldn't that be standard?
