This place was recommended by a bake met we go to, Poppy, in Monrovia/Arcadia. I believe they are sister companies. Was expecting a bigger baked goods section but about the same size as poppy. We arrived around 10 am and there was very little to no baked good except for a few bagels and a breakfast sandwich. We tried the breakfast burrito and egg sandwich. The portions are big to justify the prices. My wife got a Pom tea which was delicious. The burrito came with a green salsa which was also very tasty. We missed the morning rush and lunch rush so came in at perfect time but apparently not early enough for baked goods. It's a good place for breakfast, plenty of seating and decor and they have lunch items available early. This place is great! I've come here for dinner and for breakfast and each time I'm like... when's the next time I can come back?!?! Looove their fries here! I got a burger with fries and a pickle and it was soooo good. I wanna come back and try everything on their menu tbh. Right now they only have dinner hours available for three days but I hope that changes soon because I am absolutely craving them right now but it's a Monday night and they won't be open for evening hours til Thursday - Saturday! They have seating inside as well as outside. The high seats inside aren't comfortable so try to get any other seating there haha. Charming spot with lots of potential--but disappointing execution. The location is adorable and the vibe is definitely what you'd hope for in a local café. Unfortunately, the food left a lot to be desired. I ordered the avocado toast, which arrived with barely a whisper of avocado--just a thin swipe topped with a few radishes and lettuce. It looked fresh, but sadly it was the most underwhelming avocado toast I've ever had. Pair that with a tiny cup of drip coffee and a small latte, and I left still hungry and frustrated. I found this gem while going to another location for a sandwich. I decided to comeback the next day to see what they offer for breakfast. That roasted pork breakfast burrito is in a class be itself! The pork is seasoned well and inside was scrambled eggs, jack cheese, avocado mash, pico de gallo, tater tots and salsa verde comes with it. Its enough to hold you until lunch. It's a cute, small location that gives a kind of retro vibe when you walk in. There's plenty of seating to choose from, like high chairs or regular chairs, but no booths if anyone is into that. I came during rush hour. Waited only a few minutes in line, then we ordered. They had a good selection with pretty good prices. We ordered a. matcha with strawberry foam or syrup, i dont remeber. When the drink came, the matcha wasnt the best quality, and I think they forgot the strawberry. But it wasn't a big issue. Food came a little later, but it's fine. The overall food was amazing. The restaurant replaced Bean Town. There is parking on the street and nearby lots. They have indoor dining. Very spacious, plenty of tables. I tried a blueberry muffin and the breakfast plate with smoked salmon. I didn't read the menu very well but toast comes with butter and jam...well the little carton of red sauce I assumed was ketchup haha but I am sure on the toast would have been quite tasty as well as the rest of everything I ordered. The staff were all very friendly and cheerful, attentive and thoughtful. The selection of breakfast items was varied. We ordered the breakfast sandwich (a freshly-made honey baked biscuit with an egg, slice of cheddar, and a homemade sausage patty), a breakfast burrito (egg, cheese, and your choice of meat or veggies. Sour cream and tomatillo salsa on the side. A vegan option is also available), two brioche donuts (1 glazed, 1 cinnamon-sugar), hot chocolate and a mocha latte to drink. Every bite was perfect and flavorful. There's homemade sausage was a delightful surprise; perfectly seasoned and cooked. They have homemade salsa and hot sauce options which had a great balance of flavor and heat. The mocha was one of the best I've had and I am a coffee addict . The hot chocolate was a rich, delicious option as well. There's a nice selection of menu and bakery items, as well as specialty teas and fresh juices. Wow! Stumbled upon this place after a doctor's appointment, seeking a breakfast location around 12pm on a Tuesday. I ordered the salmon toast, which came with a salad on the side. Husband ordered the loaded breakfast quesadilla. We split an OJ and each got our own hot coffees - mocha latte for me and vanilla maple latte for him. Before we had even tried the food, we also ordered a pita to go with the sauce on the side and a snickerdoodle cookie. The drinks came out first. OJ was good! Mocha latte was good! But the Vanilla Maple Latte? Absolutely to die for. Hubby couldn't put it down until his food came out. The eggs for the quesadilla were perfectly over easy. The quesadilla was FAT and the potatoes were cooked thoroughly without being too crispy. Hubby was worried he wouldn't be able to finish the meal but it was so delicious that he managed! Meanwhile, I'm completely enjoying the salmon toast with fresh dill and scallions. Everything was fresh and soo tasty. Also managed to finish my meal and was absolutely satisfied. Heated the chicken pita up in the air fryer for dinner and then added the lemon vinaigrette and the tzatziki sauce. Grateful they separated this for us so we didn't have a soggy pita. Also delicious. Cute little spot in Sierra Madre. They have both outdoor and indoor seating. My friend recommend this place as she's been before. I was pretty excited for their brisket sandwich as every review I saw was about this sandwich. I went in with high expectations and so I was a little bummed out when I took my first bite. The meet literally had no flavor. None. No salt, no pepper, none. But I will say, the meat was definitely soft and tender which I thought made up for the lack of taste.
