Such a wonderful experience during my visit to Marston's. We were looking for a breakfast spot close to our hotel and stumbled upon a hidden gem. We were seated promptly and greeted by such friendly staff. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We had our cat in her carrier backpack and they were very accommodating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had their two egg breakfast with bacon and eggs but for my bread choice, I asked for corn tortillas and they were able to make that change! The potato's were great, the bacon was juicy and crispy. We had such a wonderful experience and we can't wait to come back in the future!

I was in Pasadena when a friend recommended this place for breakfast so we gave it a try. We tried the breakfast sandwich, andouille omelette and pancakes. The omelette was tasty and the potatoes were yummy but were loaded with onions, so if you're not into onions beware. The pancakes were okay. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was fast and the ambience was calm for a Sunday morning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Marston's is a cool little restaurant with a chill vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Went there for breakfast with friends. I ordered scrambled eggs and bacon and it was delicious. Our server was prompt and courteous.

Cute old-fashioned diner - reliable, predictable American food, filter coffee, friendly staff and friendly patrons. All happy. No extravagant stuff, no extravagant expectations.

The French toast really is fantastic

Came here for a quick breakfast for lunch on a Thursday at 1:00 p.m. it was quick service in and out and delicious. It was pretty no nonsense and got to the point. The menu was extensive but the French toast was supreme. The staff was super nice and quick. They have their own little parking lot which is nice too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's got loud diner vibes but that's what I expected.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is a nice patio out front and on the side as well if you want to sit outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would definitely come back and travel the menu if I lived nearby. It was the perfect breakfast

They offer a split plate fee--this is half an andouille omelette.

Omelette was not what I expected, but good! The big chunks of andouille sausage were nice--not mealy or bland as this type of sausage can be. The offer a split fee, which I love because the portions are huge. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was kind and the vibe is simple and clean and pleasant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Marston's is a great neighborhood spot. The service is excellent! It was my first time going but I felt like I was a regular. All the staff were so nice and attentive! All the food was solid. The blueberry pancakes were nice and fluffy and the bacon wasn't too salty. I am looking forward to trying their french toast next time!

My brothers and I had gone to our usual spot Russel's on Fair Oaks, but we were treated so poorly that we decided to come to Marston's. Here, we had a great breakfast. The service was fabulous, the food was delicious, the dinning room was comfortable. Everything about the experience was amazing.

    The Powerhouse Omelette

Don't normally give a 5star but they earned it. Staff were amazing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Location is great and it has a true small cafe feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the powerhouse omelette and it was a home run. Perfect amount of food and tasted outstanding. It is an egg white veggie omelette and came with fresh fruit and toast and it was all great down to the last bite. 100 percent coming back when I am in the area next.

    Vegetarian Omelet with added sausage.

Nice place for a bite. However, the food is fine, just not amazing. Be sure to ask for a soft scramble omelet if you don't want to be served an omelet where the egg is cooked well done. Service was excellent and friendly. That was a plus. Parking lot is small, so may have to find street parking nearby.

Definitely one of the most popular breakfast restaurants in all of Pasadena. It's very laid-back and you feel as if you are eating inside someone's home. The wait times are never as long here as some other restaurants close by but also it's not the best option in town. Russell's, a few blocks away, is the best breakfast in Pasadena in my opinion, but Marston's is still worth visiting. They have an extremely tiny and narrow parking lot with free parking otherwise it will be street parking. They have a fairly large menu filled with a lot of good options and our server was very polite. Inside is not very large and just has table seating, there is not a counter. The food here is good, but not great. For my first visit I chose the special - Crab Cake Benedict and thought it was just OK. The crabcakes did not have as much flavor as I had recently and I really did not enjoy the side of potatoes. I would suggest offering hashbrowns instead. I also felt it was a bit overpriced for what we got in return and honestly I don't think I would visit again given the other breakfast options close by.

    Texas Chili Omelet
    Armando L.

Came here with some coworkers on Wednesday afternoon for lunch. Luckily it wasn't too busy and got seated quick inside. The place is small but feels very homey. Our server was very nice and attentive. I ordered the Texas chili omelette. The portion was very generous! The chili had a great homemade taste. It went very well with the potatoes it came with. The only downfall is the parking. It's very limited but it's worth the walk if you have to park far.

They were warm (not hot) and it was difficult to get any meat off of them. I rarely ask for something to be sent back but especially for the price point here, these were not OK. We let them know that they were undercooked. The chokes were gone for a while and when they came back they were slightly better so we just made due and realized that they just weren't very good artichokes. Also, though the heart was good, the flavor of the leaves was not great and the dipping sauce was nothing special. They were covered with diced onions for some reason. When it's $21 for three halves, it was very disappointing.

I've heard some good things about this place and from other fellow yelpers friends, it must be…read moreworth it. Had a dinner reservation with some girlfriends celebrating two of their birthdays. The restaurant itself isn't too big but it does a pack a nice punch. Cute patio out front that takes some of the sidewalks and streets. Plenty of heat lamps which helped with the chilly nights. We got seated at one of the tables on the patios which was nice. Didn't really utilize inside area except for the restroom which it's quite cute in there. The rooms were pretty well decorated and executed. Nice bar area too. Like mentioned, we got seated on the patio and the heat lamps were great. Down to the menus, it's quite limited on dishes. Seemed like there were more shared plates versus the entrees. Drinks, it was fairly decent with their cocktails and wine. Service at the beginning was great. The staff were amazing and very friendly. We didn't order right away as we were still waiting for the last one to show. But did start off with some drinks. It didn't take that long for the first round which was nice. Food wise, the shared plate was a mixture of everything. Some of the olives, which is exactly what it is. The Belgian fries, nice thick cut fries with shredded pecorino cheese and a nice aioli sauce. We ended up getting a second order of it. The albacore tuna crudo was a hit which was really tasty. Chili ginger relish, mint and shallot, can't go wrong with that. Lastly the meatballs, tasty and very great for sharing. Entrees, the pan seared sea bass which I loved. Portion is pretty tiny which also seemed like they were a shared plate. Almost tapas styled. Nice chimichurri sauce and a side salad. The chicken Milanese also with a side salad of arugula. Simple dish but quite tasty. One of the salads that was somewhat hyped up by the waitress but it was just a salad. Decent but nothing major to rave about...lol... also the confit oyster mushrooms was major hit. Something that simple but quite tasty. And lastly the pan con tomate, rustic sourdough with tomatoes and burrata. Tasty as well. Overall the meal was good. From there, the second round of drinks did take a long time to arrive and with then plates that we shared, trying to get someone to clear the plates was another thing. Took a long for someone to clear the table before more items came. Even when the entrees came, all the empty starter plates were still there. And if someone did clear the plates, some was still left on the table. Finishing off the night, we did have the dessert which we tried all three. As it was two of our girlfriends birthday, they brought out a little bubbly for us to celebrate with the dessert. That was quite sweet and nice. Honestly opinion with the dessert, they were just ok. Nothing major to rave about. We tried all three on the menu and they were just ok. Overall, the food was great. Service was nice and the staffs were all very friendly. It did take a while for plates to get cleared from the table and second round did take a while, but it was manageable. It was a sweet gesture with the bubbly with the dessert which was greatly appreciated. The place is nice and great for catching up. Menu is limited and portions are quite small. You would have to get a good amount for sharing. Entrees, depending on what you order is small as well. But we enjoyed ourself.

However, I came tonight with my sister, and it started off wrong. The valet guy was very unprofessional and disrespectful towards my sister. He let a person in front of her valet park, and then when she came after that person/car, he had told her that the valet was full. However, it was two people/cars behind her that he told them they can park and he will be right with them. He had said that it's because they are related to the owners, but I felt that was quite unreasonable to say mainly when you have people dining out to have a good experience, and spend their money. This put a bad taste in my mouth, but we still decided to stay because we love the food and we haven't been for a while. Luckily, out of all the employees the hostess was the best. Very nice and sat us down rapidly. Unfortunately, for our server, Carolyn I'll give a 2 1/2 star for her. I felt that she kept moving fast and wasn't really passionate about her job. We wanted light sauce and no cheese on one of our entrees and she basically said that it's best to order something else since the chef couldn't do it. She took the plate back, and my sister decide to get devil eggs. They were delicious though, I Just felt she wasn't accommodating at all. Even when we ordered the lava cake and on the menu it didn't mention that it had caramel on it, we don't eat caramel at all and it did not mention on menu, and she simply said all the ingredients are not on the menu all the time. So what made this annoying is that we asked her about and what was on the lava cake and she said it was just a plain lava cake. Hmmm just felt that she was very dry and nonchalant and did not care. Made me feel uncomfortable to tell her about the food. Shouldn't feel that way as a patron. I ordered the lemon herb chicken w/ sautéed spinach and roasted potatoes. It was great and tasted delicious!! Happy of my choice! For my drink I had Prosecco and a lemon drop, that was very tasty. Will try that again the bartender was on point. The ambiance was perfect they have a nice seating outside with tv, and nice indoor seating. The bar has a tv and a good hang out spot. They have brunch on the weekends that looks delicious so I would want to try again, but after today I'm not sure because of the service from valet and our server. I really love Foothill!! Good food and atmosphere, but tonight was not it!!! Valet is $5.00 and they do cash or zelle only. -Dr. Marshay Dede

The corn agnolotti is a must - the brown butter sauce, roasted corn, shallot, and ricotta cheese combination was perfection. The shrimp penne was also excellently executed.
