4.50 for one corn empanada! That's a rip off, 5 for plaintain and you get about 5 so $1 per plaintain.

We ordered two margaritas during happy hour (Monday-Thursday, 11 AM-5 PM) and they were solid, especially at 50% off. The bartender was clearly juggling a lot but still managed to keep the drinks coming and the service pleasant. Unfortunately, the food didn't match the start. After waiting about 30 minutes for our bandeja paisa and already feeling pretty hungry, we ordered beef and chicken empanadas to hold us over. They were flavorful and came out fairly quickly. When our entrées finally arrived, both steaks were cold and overcooked despite requesting medium. The chicharrón lacked seasoning, the rice was cold, and the beans were underwhelming. Overall, the service at the bar was fine, but the long wait and disappointing entrées took away from the experience. At $28 per dish, I expected better quality and temperature. While the discounted cocktails were a plus, the food simply did not justify the price and we probably won't be coming back even though we live nearby.

Don't you love it when you pay reasonable prices for meals that can last you two days? Because I…read moresure do! This is my second time at the Noches De Colombia in Woodbridge. We came as walk-ins on a Saturday night and were able to get a table for two right away. They offer your traditional Colombian cuisine along with a full bar and bakery. The digital menus provide descriptions in English and have photos of every item, so don't worry if you can't speak Spanish. The atmosphere is incredibly lively, so it's perfect for celebrations. They have a DJ that pumps out some great Latin tunes! You can tell everyone (including the servers) are having a great time. Definitely not the place for an intimate conversation, so come earlier if you want to avoid a lot of noise. We ordered... *Pechuga A La Colombiana $18.95 - My entrée was grilled chicken breast topped with creamy mushroom sauce and maduros (sweet plantains). It came with the option of two sides, so I chose tostones (fried plantains) and arroz blanco (white rice). First of all, the portion size was HUGE... enough to be split into two meals!!! The chicken was seasoned with cumin, scallions, onion, and more. The tenderness of the chicken and the richness of the sauce paired so well together. The tostones were deep fried to perfection with a crispy and salty exterior. The white rice was fluffy and cooked with oil, salt, and garlic, which complemented the entire meal. *Bistec A Caballo $17.95 - A hearty dish! This was grilled steak topped with fried eggs, served in hogao (tomato and onion sauce). The steak was juicy, tender, and well marinated in a blend of spices. The hogao sauce was tangy, savory, and rich. We also got a side of frijoles (beans), which were really good. *Frozen Mango Margarita ~$15 - The drink was sweet and refreshing as expected, but the tequila was weak. It could've used another shot.... Or two. Noches has won me over with their great prices and generous portion sizes! It's now my go-to spot when I'm craving a satisfying Colombian meal.

Delicious both, with portions that demand a doggy bag. My favorite sides are red beans and rice, also consistently great. MiLina is a very friendly place. We are always warmly welcomed. Servers are attentive and not overbearing. We do not speak Spanish and--on occasion--communication with a server has been slow, but always warm. The staff wants to please. The front room has music some nights and can be noisy, but the back rooms are quiet and service there is impeccable. On our last visit, our server overheard us talking about this meal being for our wedding anniversary. After our main course was cleared, we were presented with a dessert on the house. The plate read, in chocolate sauce, "Happy Anniversary" and was a lovely way to end the meal. MilIna has replaced our NYC go-to steakhouse. Great food and service, close to home.

Stopped by one day ahead to make sure all was set- left a 200.00 deposit since our party was for 10pp, selected 4 apps and 2 pitchers of sangria (white and red) to set on table ready for the guest. They loved the red. We were setup in the first room which was perfect, not to be hidden in a corner - the locals might be a bit loud at the bar so don't be offended fyi. The food was great, as you know that I will call it out if it wasn't- served hot and a good portion. Service was also great from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave, great vibes and most of all the birthday celebration woke up everyone as they pump up the beat and sing happy birthday in English and Spanish with a shot of aqua ardiente! Plenty of parking and they also have an outdoor patio- keep up the great job and thank you for your great hospitality!

Went to Milina for Mother's Day brunch before our Mother's Day dinner. (Lot of eating going on on…read moreMother's Day!) We've been to Milina before but never reviewed them. Started out with coconut lemonade and a blood sausage appetizer that came with 2 mini arepas. It was our first time trying blood sausage and we were happy we did! Casing had a nice char and snap to it. Filling was well seasoned and delicious. Arepitas were light, crispy and had a very good sweet corn taste to them. Coconut lemonade was slightly tart which is how I like it and also had a sweet coconut finish to it. I would definitely order it again. For the entree we shared the Parradilla Milina Marinera which came with grilled steak, chicken, pork loin, shrimp and salted fried plantains. We added rice and beans. Grill taste on everything was terrific! Meats were tender and flavorful. Rice and beans were ok. They had free dessert for Mother's Day so my wife ordered chocolate cake which was delicious. It wasn't our first time at Milina and it definitely won't be our last. Servers were very attentive, courteous and accommodating.

The chicken empanada was also good. However, the CANASTICAS (3) DE TOSTONES RELLENOS appetizer was disappointing. It was $10 for three tiny cups, which was not what we expected. It wasn't worth the price, and we could barely taste any plantain. I accepted the conclusion. We also ordered a side of FRIED PLANTIANS (tostones). We received only three pieces, and they were extremely thin--so thin they could bend like taco shells. They were not the traditional thick, crispy tostones we expected. My husband's BANDEJA PAISA was also disappointing. The chicharrón was thin, hard, and difficult to chew. The steak was thin but good. The beans- good. Sausage-ok. A lot of rice on the plate. Then the receipt came with an automatic 18% gratuity. We don't recall seeing this noted on the menu, although it may have been listed somewhere. We were only a party of two, so we were surprised to see an automatic gratuity added. Be sure to check your bill carefully so you don't accidentally leave an extra tip. Overall, the food and value did not meet our expectations. It's simply not for us, though it may match other people's expectations, and that's okay.

Lola's Latin Bistro was the perfect private restaurant venue for my Dad's 60th surprise party for…read morewhich we had 50 guests. Owner, Shiv and Juan were communicative, knowledgeable, and accommodating throughout the planning process, during the party itself, and even after. At the time we hosted our party (July 2025), Lola's wasn't open for lunch so we had the whole restaurant (and patio!) to ourselves from noon to 4:30pm with a flexible set-up time prior to the party start. Guests arrived around noon with the surprise guest of honor arriving around 12:30pm. The connectivity from indoor space to outdoor patio takes this venue to the next level; perfect for a celebratory cigar and beautiful weather days. For set-up, we arrived around 11:15am and had plenty of time to set-up with help from the staff. What's incredible about Lola's owners and staff is that they don't just help you with anything and everything, they WANT to help you with anything and everything. They felt more like family friends than restaurant or venue staff. We could tell they truly cared about us, the party, and really wanted to make everything as special as possible. They helped us with everything from the exact table and chair arrangement in the room to decor and even a spotify playlist. Anytime we needed anything throughout the duration of the party they were eager and willing to help. Appetizers were served family style, then the entrees, then we did toast prior to dessert. For parties of 4 or more, they offer a sampling of their menu in a family style setting, $40 per person with Ropa Vieja (cooked beef stew to perfection over white rice) or $48 per person with skirt steak with 20% required for all reservations of 9 people or more. Some of the other menu favorites were the chorizo ajillo (Spanish sausage sauteed in garlic) and the salmon asado con mango caliente (grilled atlantic salmon with a mildly spiced mango glaze with pineapple salsa and polenta cakes). Everything was delicious. For drinks, it's BYOB. We provided red and white bottles of wine which were opened at our direction by the staff and placed on the tables and in ice buckets around the room. Additionally, one pitcher of Lola's signature red sangria was placed on every table, for which we provided Carlo Rossi Merlot (recommended by the owners, deliciously approved by me). One of my favorite things about Lola's for a party or special occasion is how colorful it is, leaving us with vibrant and lasting photographs and memories for years to come. As you can see from our photos, guests were smiling and happy with many complimenting us after the fact on what a fun and well done party it was. Highly recommend.
