I have a expensive lambskin jacket that I've owned for over 25 years and was reserved about where to take it and have it cleaned. I stopped by a few cleaners and they didn't seem very comfortable working on it. Empire Cleaners is my choice cleaning establishment. It takes me 45 minutes to drive there but it's highly worth the trek! Every time I've taken an item to Empire, this wonderful shop has gone the extra mile to clean my item. On several occasions, Empire has generously repeat-drycleaned my few vintage handbags and clutches until these were perfectly restored, and typically at no extra charge. One of these items, a delicate evening bag that had developed a musty smell, emerged from Empire's care miraculously odor-free and with the beadwork intact. Empire did equally well at cleaning my vintage brocade pillow purchased at Pick of the Litter, a Santa Rosa non-profit whose proceeds go to the care of homeless cats. And, thanks to Empire, my two old wool coats and secondhand polyester sofa cushion covers look as good as new. Even better, the cleaning products and processes Empire uses are eco-friendly, and the kind and courteous staff provide the most excellent customer care imaginable. Was supposed to get it back in 3 days but wasn't ready when I tried to pick it up. Got it the next day delivered and when I unpacked , it looked like never cleaned. I needed a dress dry cleaned for a work event within 2 days- I called and asked if they could do a rush order and the man I spoke to was so friendly and helpful he said there was no extra charge for a rush and that they could absolutely do it. I have been taking my clothes to empire cleaners since I went into marketing 10 years ago. I have lots of beautiful silk shirts I need cleaned regularly for my job and Sami and David do a great job and are very friendly! I always get them back quickly and in beautiful condition. With COVID I don't have quite as many shirts going to the cleaners but I like to wear my dry clean only clothes on weekends to feel like life is normal!
