I would like to take this time to write a review on Dr Zenia Cortes, MD orthopedic surgeon and the office staff at Healthpointe Medical Group, located in Garden Grove. I was treated for an Achilles injury that happened in July 2023; I was seen by Dr Zenia Cortes in December 2023. From the first appointment, Dr Cortes was the most professional, and caring person I have ever met in the medical field! Her compassion she showed brought tears to my eyes. I was overwhelmed with the high level of patient care she rendered. Dr Zenia Cortes is very experienced and highly educated in her profession, as an orthopedic surgeon and specialist. I felt at peace cause I knew I was in good hands. Dr Cortes had my best interest at heart. I was overwhelmed with joy and gratitude cause she cared about me as an individual. Every single patient that walks into her office, is treated as a valued client. Dr Zenia Cortes educated me on the past and present condition of my Achilles injury; she then went onto educate me on the necessary need for surgery. At this time, I was very concerned; however, she put me at ease and reassured me that she will give best treatment for my Achilles tear. She immediately went to work and got all my patient records transferred over to her office and I was immediately in the process for surgery. Dr Zenia Cortes treated me for the mishandling of the previous doctor. Those mishaps were corrected to salvage my Achilles, and put me on the road to proper treatment! Prior to being sedated for surgery, Dr Zenia Cortes informed me of the surgery procedure she was going to do. I truly felt at peace cause she informed me of everything that was going to take place. Transparency and honesty is what she is all about and truly helped me embrace the process. After the operation was over I felt that I made a dear friend for life; because of her professionalism and dedication to her craft, I am able to return to my normal physical activities. Dr Cortes is dear to my heart cause she gave me a life again and a livelihood that was almost taken away from me. Dr Cortes treated me with kindness and respect, something that I have never experienced. I really do appreciate her from the bottom of my heart. From my wife and I we appreciate everything she has done for us in my road to recovery! Lastly , I would like to take this time and comment on the office staff at Healthpointe Medical Group located in Garden Grove. The staff at Healthpointe is very nice and very helpful at facilitating the clients. All the staff members are extremely nice, and highly motivated individuals who take pride in their job. The office area is very neat and well organized; the office area is decorated very holiday season. The physical therapy team are highly motivated people who do their very best to help clients reach their goals in physical therapy. I am now back at work because of these professional people. Location is great, lots of parking, big waiting room, always clean. Dr Cortes staff is always amazing!! Check in is always quick, check out just as well. Appointments are always taken care of in a timely manner. I do want to shout out to Will, he's always cheerful, super helpful & kind!! I felt the staff was not very helpful. I gave all the information needed to the front desk. Was told no that's not right. Proceeded to contact the wrong person for my work. The doctor did not allow me to speak. My concerns about returning to work was skimmed through. He told me to ask work to modify work but wrote on my paperwork to return with full duties. No extensive tests were ran. I already know I have weak grip strength. Why am I doing a grip test per the doctor? Was told to take tylenol. Waste of time coming here. read more

If their quality is judged by their customer service and communication I would never pick them for anything. Also when you contact them and they say they have availability the following week that is a LIE. Nothing for a month. This place is very convenient, I just walked in and didn't need an appointment for my DOT exam. Ezekiel Was very helpful in processing my medical forms. Gloria was very informative and knowledgeable in proceeding with my physical exam, thank you Gloria. I went here to see a specialist after falling at work. Didn't have much expectations since the outside place looked old. I was surprised when I came in the front receptionists were really nice and good-looking. Andrea the Asian girl helped me filled out the paperworks quickly and a pretty girl Dani took me into see Dr Chung. The doc is a funny tall doctor he keeps saying 'dau dau' we have a good laugh. I fell at work and my back has been in pain ever since. Supervisor referred me here my back hurting so much. There's a handsome brown man in the front Esqueziel he, a cute short lady Mille and a muscled nice Viet man William helped me so much despite not knowing Vietnamese. Then they called a Viet girl Andrea to help me fill the forms. Dr Aile saw me he was handsome like older Tom Cruise. Then the front nice cute ladies at the front made me appointment they wanted me to mention them Odalis, Diana, Vanessa. This place is a joke! My mom came here for a consultation appointment at 9am and she didnt leave until noon! 3 hours ! Unbelievable!!! They have bunch of staffings but what exactly are they doing there? We were not the only frustrated one in the lobby. The girls in the lobby told my mom to wait for a disc, should be out in like minutes. 30 minutes or so, still waiting until a male staff came and checked on us. He was like we were done. I wish I could give this place 10 stars! I went for 24 weeks of physical therapy on top of going to doctors appointments once a month for my check ups. Dr Li is great, & was very attentive to my needs/wants. All the nurses I dealt with were wonderful, kind, & easy to talk to about my issues/concerns. The front desk receptionists were great! All were kind & helped me immediately. I only had one issue with a front desk receptionist who was quickly switched to another area. Definitely recommend for your physical therapy needs! read more

No, no, no. You need to go somewhere else. The front office are a bunch of incompetent employees. I have called 8 times in the past two weeks to get my mother an appointment. They won't call you back, they will hang up on you, and absolutely don't care about their patients. I've talked to Will, Victor, Christopher, Alexander (worst), Amber, and Lupe (She was on drugs or just woke up hungover, incoherent.) All of them do nothing for you. You need to get a referral to another place. read more

This review is for the physical therapy office and staff. After an accident I had, I started attending physical therapy at another Healthpointe office. After 6 visits and feeling like the doctor wasn't adapting to my needs, I switched over to This location. SO AWESOME and so glad I did! Doctor Cindy was able to really address my concerns and made me feel like my body was improving. Every week she added new and more challenging workouts/stretches overall, really getting my body closer to recovery. Everyone else I ever interacted with, was also very kind! Come here is you want someone that will push you and your body to a more efficient self-recovery. Go elsewhere if you want an easy, slower recovery. read more

Should be permanently closed by authorities. Says open 24x7 and I walked in with my injured husband at 7AM, he had fell from bike that morning. The door was not open and said ring the bell. Tried ringing the bell like 5 - 6 times, knocked on the door few times, called the phone number listed in the door and tried everything I could for 30 MINUTES. Seriously?!? I was sent to this location for a pre-employment drug test. The employer sent me with the wrong paperwork, the front desk was nice enough to call the employer and explain exactly what was needed. Unfortunately, I had to return to the employer (20 minutes away) to get the correct paperwork and when I returned I still didn't have everything (despite me questioning the employer). Ezekiel at the front desk at Healthpointe made a second call to explain again what was needed. After all of the paperwork was complete, the process was quick. out of the 3 offices that ive been to (la mirada, long beach, gg) garden grove definitely has the nicest staff. i got in super fast as my appointment time was and hardly any wait for the doctor. I would say this is by far the best office healthpointe has, only downside is that the office is small and it gets crowded. so i have to update this because i have been proven that all of the healthpointe offices are the same. i received a message from deborah saying to call them back to schedule my physical therapy and i did call back but it turns out she was on her lunch break. they told me she would call me back after and i waited the whole day, was she on her lunch break the entire afternoon? apparently. its been over 2 weeks and i think shes still on her lunch break. i had to contact them because she never called. i just got off the phone with one of their representatives and he said that they cant schedule me because they need to check with the PT department about my ins. if they had to check with them then why would she tell me to call back to schedule my appointment? (since they dont schedule without approving the ins first) he said they arent in until 9am. so to give them a call back after. they should be calling me. every time i try to contact them i get placed on hold for about 20-30 minutes because they have to contact the office. their system is completely disorganized and inconvenient for the patients. i am thinking about not scheduling with them any longer. read more

Omg, where do I start!! The office staff has the worst communication skills ever!! When Dr Chaung ordered my MRI to be stat, it took 3 weeks ( they said that was normal for stat). I'm a nurse, STAT means 72 hours, then I get in for the results, Dr wants to do surgery right away, 2 months later I got a surgery appointment! Then I arrive at the hospital the morning of my surgery and the OR staff informs me that the office canceled my surgery because they didn't know if I paid my deductible!! Then the dr calls me and says " where are you? I'm ready to do your surgery!" Apparently, his own staff didn't notify him that they canceled my surgery! I called and spoke with Larry, a manager of some sorts and blamed the whole thing on me!!! That I should have communicated that I paid my deductible to the hospital and didn't take any responsibility for the miscommunication!! Thank God the hospital and Dr squeezed me in the same day for surgery! After I'm done with my knee won't definitely be going back, this place is a joke!! read more

I'm writing this review cuz I'm sitting on the waiting room and there's a sign on the wall that says to write a review. What's the point of having an appointment if you still have to wait hours? No updates. No info. Wasn't acknowledged. After an hour I finally went up to make sure that I was checked in and not invisible. I have been driving for 15 years and have never had issues. I am very healthy and never had an problems.. recomend you do not go here. I was introduced to Healthpointe after a fall and required to go for Worker's Comp Insurance purposes. Honestly? I was hesitant not going to my own doctor's offices. I ended up visiting over a five month period because my experience involved surgery and subsequent physical therapy. The office is populated by hardworking professionals from the front desk staff who originally got me into an office with a PA very quickly, to the Physical Therapy team who didn't let me end treatment too soon. All along the way, I was convinced they had my best outcomes in mind and proved it over and over. Nurses are kind and most are very thorough (Alma stands out) and both Dr. Anile and Surgeon, Dr. Cortes are superb. The doctor's supporting staff is on top of scheduling and follow-up (Aracelli was wonderful). And finally, Dr. Deeb leads a really dedicated team of Physical Therapists who monitor daily accomplishment and are clear they care about patient outcomes. I was pleasantly surprised by a consistently positive experience. read more

One star for the nice Asian guy, I think his name is Jason. When I walked in the front office girls gave me a crappy attitude along with dirty looks. I waited for two hours to see the PA. The PA had one conclusion while the radiologist had another after looking over my x-Ray, which he did not read till an hour after my second visit. I had one male nurse walk into the room just to check me out and asked "if I was waiting for the dr? " what else would I being doing there and stop staring at my boobs !!!! I hurt my shoulder at work and Had some reservations about using company doctor. They took good care of me during treatment and therapy for my shoulder. Hours are convenient. Facility was neat and clean with all necessary equipment for therapy The staff was laid-back yet professional. I got in and out with minimal waiting on most visits. Every time I've had an appointment I have had to wait forever. My appointment was for 11:15 and I'm still waiting to be seen and it's 12. I won't say how I feel about the doctor you can decide for yourself but I will say I can not stand this place. My blood pressure sky rockets every time I come here. 5/22/19 so a month later time for another appointment with Dr Cortez my appt is for 11 as I'm sitting in the waiting room another lady walks in and says she has an appointment with Dr Cortez for 11. Geez maybe this is why I wait for so long every time I come to this facility. They book multiple people for the same time . So plan on spending anywhere from 2 to who knows how many hours here. Employee tells me your more than welcome to go elsewhere. I would if my case manager at Sedgwick would have done her job! So I want to say today was a little better I ended up getting out of there at 12:30. So as I was waiting for my papers in the waiting area so I could leave a guy in blue scrubs came to the front to ask a blonde girl with long hair what happened because a customer went off on her and it was really loud with a lot of commotion. Even though they were quietly talking about it people are still listening. I will say Dr Cortez does take her time with me and ask questions and I don't feel rushed and Will is really helpful too. read more
