Took way too long to mount, balance tires and do an alignment. We told the shop we were waiting and dropped vehicle off around 1pm. Vehicle still wasn't done by 4:30pm with no other customers in the shop and very few cats sitting outside. Our vehicle didn't go in until 2:30 or so. We also overheard mechanics complaining and arguing about working on our vehicle. Not sure what the exact complaint was, but it sounded like the mechanic assigned to our vehicle had a problem with our vehicle being assigned to his bay. Overall a very unprofessional and lazy attitude towards customers vehicles and poor time management. read more

I was skeptical about coming here with the reviews I read, but it turned out to be a great experience. Jose was very thorough and went over my vehicle inspection. I just wanted to get my car checked since I was going TDY ($21.99 for a complete vehicle inspection) pretty good deal! They did replace my battery and I had my car back by 10am (I dropped it off at 0730). So I was thankful I did not have to wait all day but this will VARY with the type of service you are doing. So be mindful. Jose was very honest and real and wasn't pushing unnecssary car services that was not needed, which I was very thankful and appreciative (other autoshops always pressured customers, which I find very rude). Mylinh at the front desk ringed me up and was super nice! I normally do not have a good expericence at the autoshops so I felt very valued and assured with my service here. Most of all, I felt respected (I do not know much about cars so everyone in the store made me feel comfortable). This is right across the candlewood suite, so if you are having to wait a long time, just walk up further and there is the USO to hang at or the little food court that has some good optinons to choose from. I do not think this place has a bathroom:/ so best to walk across the street to the hotel or walk up the food court or USO. Very impressed and pleased with my service here! read more

The only way this place is going to learn is if we stop giving them our business I swear. They aren't even the cheapest option. I drop my car off this morning with a guarantee the tire I need will be there by 3:00pm and promptly put on my car. I call at 4:30 only to find out that the person bringing the tire couldn't get on base and they have known this for sometime. They didn't call or say a word. The woman gives the excuse that they were just about to call. And instead of sending someone to the gate to get the tire they decided they would just keep my car until the morning. Absolutely not! They have also removed the tire from the rim with nothing to put on it. I mean it when I say do not recommend ever under any circumstances. read more

I went to had a brand new tire mounted on a brand new rim. I dropped off the tire and rim at lunchtime on the 21st. I returned at 4:00 to pick up the tire mounted on the rim. The man at the counter noted that it was the "nice trailer rim." Upon immediate inspection I notice several deep scratches In the powecoating of the rim. I immediately get pissed. The man at the counter offers no charge for the installation, $10. I tell them, in some colorful language, that this is not acceptable and the rim needs to be replaced. He tells me that I will need to speak to the manager but he will not be in till the next morning at 7:30. I leave that day leaving the now defaced rim at the shop. The next morning I spoke with Randy, the general manager. He offers to have the scratches sanded and spray paint to be applied to fix these scratches. Of course I object and demand repayment for a new rim. He agrees and I go on my way. I received the new rim on the evening of the 26th. I call and find out that Randy wants to handle the remainder of this transaction but will not be in till the 28th. I arrive this morning, the 28th, and drop off the rim for replacement. The tire was mounted on the rim without destroying the finish of the new rim. When I go to check out I noticed that my refund for the new rim was $10 less than what I paid. He still charged me for the mounting!!! No apology. Nothing. I would highly recommend for all patrons to avoid this Firestone for any service. read more

Unethical at best. Needing an alignment and rotation. Waited 5-6 hours which is fine because I was a walk in, got my car back and it was still shaky. I'm optimistic and see good in people, waited 3 weeks hoping the tire would have just flatten out to level the surface but it was the same if not worst cause my wife almost got into an accident. I had enough so I called for an appointment no luck so I just walked in. Same scenario waited for 4-5 hours this time I was asked about the key for my lug nuts. I told them it was at the plastic bag by the back compartment (same lug nut key that was handed back to me and used 3 weeks ago). The mechanic called me and said it's the wrong one, I went and checked myself. It was the wrong one, that only means that my tires had not been rotated. Found my key at a commons place, hand it to the mechanic and waited for at least an hour more. Got my car back, it removed 90% of the shaking. The tires are completely damaged due to 3 weeks of assuming. Moral of the story you can't trust people at face value. Avoid location when other option is open. Still gave them some stars because they didn't charge me for the rotation, however it had somewhat warped my tires due to long distance travel within those weeks. read more

Let's start with the wait time. I had an appointment and arrived on time for my apointment but it took two hours for my car to be worked on. Once my service began it took about 2.5 hours for the service to be completed. So a total of 4.5 hours spent at the shop for replacing 4 tires and a wheel alignment. I also think the price was a little high. But then again this is a military town so if you know; you know. I guess I am use to Bronx, NY service and Bronx, NY prices. Charged me $1600 for a replacement AC compressor kit when my A/C gave out which is normal, and I purchased the warranty. since installation my car makes a bad rattle when the compressor kicks on and this shop refuses to honor the warranty claiming it's not the compressor- took it to another shop to confirm and surprise surprise it's the compressor. these guys have zero honor and treat military members as money bags. avoid these guys at all cost. Charge an arm and a leg and will botch the job to get you to pay more. read more

I had a vehicle alignment performed at this location. I was thankful they were able to perform the alignment within an hour as a walk in. Unfortunately, the next day while attempting a left turn in an intersection, I was not able to turn the steering wheel much to make the turn. Thankfully avoided a collision with oncoming traffic. Examined the front steering and the jam nuts for the strut bar had not been cinched, allowing the steering stabilizer mount on the strut bar to rotate aft where it wedged against the front differential cover if attempting to turn the wheels left. This significantly limited the left turn radius. The vehicle was brought back to firestone later that day around 4:30 pm and I described and showed pictures of the problem to the front desk person. They told me they couldn't fix it that day, and I would have to bring the vehicle back the next day. It would've taken a few minutes and two wrenches to tighten up the jam nuts and make the vehicle at least safe to drive. Instead, I had a friend drive me to buy two large adjustable wrenches to fix the problem myself. I'm not sure if toe alignment is still good now though and the mounting bolt for the steering stabilizer is bent. read more

I ask these guys to replace my camshaft sensor, nothing more nothing less I DROVE it to their shop over a weekend and was told it'd be done monday, I was totally stoked Monday rolls by and I get told not yet, wait till thursday Thursday rolls by, I get told friday Friday rolls by and they call me, tell me it's running like a dream and I can come pick it up, I don't even care that it took so long I'm just so happy to drive it again I get in and the guy at the counter insists I had it towed here, because it "never ran" in their care, I go to start it and it doesn't even turn over I go back inside to talk to a manager and the guy running the desk refuses me the right, and insist it never ran and that I dropped it off with a tow truck These conmen are fleecing soldiers for money, they WILL nickle and dime you for the worlds worst job you'll ever recieve on your vehicle, they even left parts under my hood so if it did run, I'd probably make it out of their parking lot before experiencing another issue Absolute slopjockeys, I whole heartedly suggest contacting the post commander on fort hood to get these peoples license revoked, they aren't here with good intentions, just to make a quick buck off horrible work read more

I came to firestone October 25, 2016 around 6pm about my car battery that needed to be replaced, I had to drop my vehicle off overnight and picked it up on October 26, 2016 around 930am and was told that I had corrosion around the battery port and that it would be a dealer issue and they could do nothing about it there. I was still having issues starting my vehicle I opened my hood and the exact same battery was still in my vehicle and had not been changed but I was charged $168.34 and assured that work was done. I am very unhappy with my experience and do not plan on ever taking my business to that establishment again. read more

Worst business practices ever! both Firestone's on Fort Hood should be closed down. This one I came around October of 2016 to replace my battery, got my car returned to me with the exact same battery, no work done but they sure charged me and when I returned they just tried to play it off like no big deal, simple mistake. That's one heck of a mistake! My fault for coming back a 2nd time but I really just came for a quote for new brakes for my car as well as tires they quoted me almost 1000$. I went to sears auto at the mall in Killeen and got everything done for more than half less with excellent customer service. They don't do schedule appointments, they take to long for a routine fix, and they have bad business practices (e.g. going in to get your ac looked at and them in turn they tell you, your ac bad you batteries is dead, you need an oil change and your tires need replacing!). I am new to Fort Hood and it seems that they need a real manager that can keep this guys who are only working to quantify the labor hour cost and we the costumer get screwed! Lastly I asked for a quote for a repair and he pulled a random number out of his head $800- 1000 for parts and labor... When I checked online for the part alone was $175 minus the labor. They will prey on people that don't know anything about cars and will charge you double, triple or quadruple what the repair would be almost anywhere else. I don't have to worry if I'm getting overcharged because Joe mechanic wants to make a few extra bucks. The staff is extremely friendly and personable. Wish I could give them 0 stars. So they don't close till 19:00 but at 18:30 they are standing around outside smoking saying they can take no more customers for the day, not even a simple oil change. Even a restaurant will take you in 2 minutes before they close. Their customer service is horrible and if they are anything like the Firestone where I come from I no longer expect them to be able to even do a simple oil change without forgetting to put the cap back on. I have already lost one car to Firestone this way and have taken items up there before with finger nail polish on them only to have the same part that didn't work not replaced.
