    The Popeye
    Eric B.

This is one of my go-to spots for lunch. I've only ever tried one thing and that's what I get everytime. The Popeye wrap is sooo good! It's a spinach wrap with spinach on the inside, (on some inception ish) roasted chicken, mozzarella cheese and some red sauce. I want to try other menu items but I enjoy wrap too much. The ladies I usually see preparing the foods be moving fast making everyone's food and smoothies. I usually dine in their dining area which has a handful of seats. Good service and a bomb Popeye wrap

This is my go-to when I want a quick, healthy, and reasonably priced lunch. I love their signature salad. They don't skimp on the walnuts and mandarin orange, plus have a ton of different dressings to choose from. I havent tried the sandwhiches yet, but my coworkers say they are so great. Also great service as everyone there is super fr

Such a cute little area with a modern/green atmosphere. The menu was filled with so many healthy choices and options. As a first timer, I did not know what to try since everything sounded delicious but two customers before me bd recommended the "tinga" which was only served on Fridays. It's a homemade spicy chicken dish that you could eat in a wrap or brown rice. I gave in and ordered that along with unlimited toppings of my choice. I'm so happy I followed their recommendation because it was filled with flavor and just enough spice and the fact that it was a family recipe. Definitely recommend this place!

Towering Turkey and Cheddar ($6.95) 474 calories

Now I know what other yelpers mean when they write, "I really wanted to like this place." I was so excited to find this healthy options shop on yelp. I am always trying to eat healthy and it's surprisingly still difficult to find healthy food that is convenient. Located in the Bank of America Plaza, it gets very busy at lunch. I was there at high noon and the place was packed. I liked how they had a nutrition chart right next to the menu and how it was easy to read. I chose the Towering Turkey and Cheddar (474 calories at $6.95) on multigrain bread. It was layered with shredded cheese, spinach, organic low sodium sliced turkey, carrots, cucumber, tomato, and drizzled with some type of low fat mayo. Thank goodness for the mayo, cucumber, and tomato because the sandwich was pretty dry. Avocado might help or maybe some hummus? Perhaps they need to choose another type of bread. It was crumbly and had difficulty holding up to the "towering" ingredients. The set up is similar to Subway where the sandwich is passed down. Service was quick and efficient. My name was called out to pick up my sandwich before I finished paying. I'm not going to write off this place yet. I still want to LIKE it because I LOVE the concept and the EFFORT to provide healthy options. The Power Packed Chicken Sandwich seemed very popular and it looked really good and so did their salads. They had an offer written on their A-frame outside their store: "Bring your receipt in from this week on Friday (3/8) and receive 15% off." I'm in favor of second chances, so you know where I'll be on Friday for lunch ;)

Breakfast bowl with Tofu. Can you find the tofu?

The breakfast bowl was terrible and flavorless. I don't see how they can call it a bowl. I ordered the breakfast bowl without eggs bc of an allergy. When I returned backed to my office to sit down and eat I noticed hit contained egg whites. I went back to Energy Cafe for the guy to remake it. He was very rude and confrontational when I asked him to remake it. He didn't apologize for getting my order wrong but continued to be defensive. There are so many other options in the area that I will never come back here again.

Pressed juices available. Several variations. Convenient location for those uptown

First time trying this location because I didnt want anything super heavy. I got the egg delight sandwich with no tomatoes. For what I ordered the price was reasonable. They have a good price point for avocado toast.

The staff is the friendliest, the food is great and super healthy, they list the macros of each food choice on their website, and everything is super customizable. Healthy and easy--love this place

Arnold Wrap is really good - but I don't think I'll be back soon because $8.50 for a wrap is insane.

Around 9:20 PM, I received a call from Olivia, the shift lead. She was incredibly calm, professional, and kind while explaining that she wasn't at the store and the employees working that night were fairly new and that they usually appreciate a little advance notice for catering orders. She asked whether I still wanted to move forward with the order. I told her I completely understood the situation and wouldn't be upset if they needed to cancel since it was so late and inconvenient. A little while later, Olivia called me back to let me know the catering had turned out great and that they could still deliver it if I wanted. When the order arrived, I was so impressed! Both catering boxes looked fantastic, and everything was prepared beautifully. I truly appreciate the employees who stayed late and put such care into making our order, and I especially want to thank Olivia for her outstanding customer service. Her kindness, communication, and professionalism turned what could have been a stressful situation into a wonderful experience. Thank you to the entire team for going above and beyond!

Rhino Market & Deli feels like the kind of neighborhood spot that every city wishes it had…read more This Wesley Heights location is one of my favorite easy stops in Charlotte. It's right on the way to my yoga studio, so it's perfect for a quick in-and-out lunch, but honestly, it's also the kind of place where you end up lingering longer than planned. My usual order is the ABLT on rye with Boar's Head applewood smoked bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Simple, fresh, and consistently delicious every single time. I almost always pair it with the Spinach Bacon salad loaded with spinach, cranberries, goat cheese, tomatoes, toasted pecans, and brown sugar peppered bacon. The portions are huge and definitely shareable. What makes Rhino special is that it's more than just a deli. It's part neighborhood market, part coffee shop, part beer and wine stop, and part community hangout. They've got local products, grab-and-go snacks, fresh sandwiches, beer on tap, wine, outdoor patio seating, and sometimes even live music. It reminds me of the small independent spots I used to love in the Bay Area around Burlingame, San Mateo, and Palo Alto. Relaxed, local, welcoming, and full of personality. The staff is always friendly, and the atmosphere feels genuinely Charlotte. Not overly polished. Not trying too hard. Just good food, good people, and a place that locals clearly love. And if you are visiting North Carolina, you absolutely have to try Cheerwine at least once. It's basically a Carolina rite of passage. Cherry soda lovers will probably be obsessed. Me personally? Not exactly my flavor profile, but people here drink it like water, so clearly they are onto something. Rhino Market is one of those places that makes a city feel like home. Life is too short to not eat well, Charlotte. Get out there.
