    Chicken Piccata!
    Denise B.

Once again, great service and Food. Place was almost empty when-we got there but filed up fast. We ordered Bruschetta - fresh and good! I had Chicken Piccata - it was just delicious, served with a fresh Salad and Pasta with lots of sautéed mushrooms and Capers. The sauce on the Piccata was lemony and wonderful. Two other dishes at the table was Fettuccine Alfredo with Meatballs and Tortellini in cream sauce . Both rated as wonderful! This is such a good venue !! A+++

    Veal Parmigiana

Delicious food per usual. Normally I get the Penne Vodka but got the veal parmigiana and it was fantastic. The drinks are fine. Service was great, our server was attentive. The restaurant was busy but popular. I called ahead to reservation for our group, but when we got there, the restaurant had nothing on our reservation. However, they accommodated us anyway, which was great.

    Husband's inedible calzone

Decided to give this restaurant a 2nd chance and what a mistake that was. I ordered the lasagna with a buffalo chicken soup. The lasagna was cold and the soup was so oily you couldn't taste anything else. So I sent my food back. My husband ordered a ham & pepperoni calzone. His calzone was full of mozzarella and had very little ham or pepperoniand on top of that it was burnt.

Normally they are friendly and welcoming, however tonight they had one server at 4:45 and he was having a hard time keeping up with 7 tables by himself. These were not tables of two but families and groupds. It was also the day after Christmas so being prepared for people to come would have been a good idea. Two additional servers and a bar tender finally showed up at 5. Lots of take out orders were being picked up while we waited. I would suggest that the door to the office be kept closed especially during business hours. Prices are good. Food is never disappointing. Definitely check it out.

    Lasagna, tasty.

I'm looking for pasta and not a chian while on the road. Adventure off to Enricos for Italian restaurant that I have never heard of before. Decided on the lasagna with a caeser salad and an old fashion. It's not your typical pairing, but what the heck? Why not. The salad was fresh and crisp, and the ceaser dressing was sooooo good. The Old Fashioned was a good mix with just a taste of the bourbon. Yum! The lasagna was tasty, with a pretty good sauce, and the meat was flavorful. Good carb meal before tomorrow's game. The service was super friendly and quick for a busy Saturday evening. The table was clean and dining area neat and modern. It's very much a family restaurant or even a nice place for a date. I am looking forward to my next visit.

The food was sooo good. We really enjoyed the mozz sticks, pesto pizza special, and vodka penne. The service was friendly and great! Shout out to Chekera, she was amazing. The place had great vibes. We loved the lighting.

Enrico's is my go to Italian takeout location! I've been going there for years and the food quality has remained the same and they always leaving me craving for more. I have went into the location twice over there years and they have a lot of space for a comfortable eating environment. Whenever I'm feeling lazy, don't want to leave the house or just want to get something quick and good, Enrico's is always a top option to make sure I get my fix.

    Penne Sorrentino
    Chad H.

Had a 'nice' late lunch today. This tends to be our go to by the outlet malls. Wife had a penne pasta, it was 'fine'. I had a Buffalo chicken pizza, I love any pizza, this was 'ok' lots of ranch and Buffalo flavor, not sure about the chicken. Side salads were as expected. Service was good. We tend to eat at odd times, late lunches, early dinners, you could tell we were in between shifts. Wheelchair accessibility is great, tables are a touch higher and table legs allow the wheelchair to get under, that will always bring us back.

    Tiramisu $6.99 disappointing.

Most sauces in the south are to sweet and tastes like Chef Boy RD......but not here full of flavor with a nice bite to it, would make any Italian Nonna cry! We had little ones with us that just wanted Alfredo which wasn't on the menu, no problem waitress to the rescue again, she has the kitchen whip up a fresh Alfredo sauce, and seriously the first time I have seen the kids finish a whole meal!!! The goat cheese was amazing. I shared my penne ala vodka with my partners chicken parmesan. This is one of the best chicken parmesans I have had. We requested fresh pasta for both. Order their homemade pasta and be prepared to share. Portions were above average. For dessert you must try the cheesecake. Smooth and well balanced. One improvement could be the chocolate cake. This was dry and kacked the chocolate flavor the menu teased. The service was great. Ill be back in September.

I've tried several of the sauces and my favorite hands down is the vodka sauce. I like to add spinach and mushrooms to it. I have a few critiques though. I think the pasta water is under-salted most of the time. The noodles could use more salt content in my opinion. The salad proteins are always overcooked - edges are often hard. Finally, the service isn't great. Trying to get a water or tea refill is all but impossible. I will keep going bc the food is mostly good and I enjoy the ambience.

Forgot to take photos of the bread because I was too busy enjoying it. Oops! We ordered meatballs as an app, and I had the lasagna for my entree. Both were pretty good, though I wish the lasagna had a bit more of a "noodle-y" bite to it, if that makes sense. I felt like I was just eating a bowl of cheese and sauce. The ratio of noodles to cheese and sauce didn't feel balanced, and felt more like lasagna soup, but overall, it was decent. I think I'd try something different next time. My husband had the mussels and said they were okay- basically mussels and tomato sauce. As for the ambiance, it's casual Italian dining experience, and includes a market at the front of the store for take home breads and pastas.

Starbucks comes to mind but only because the app makes buying Starbucks easier than making my own coffee. Since opening in uptown, Portifino has become one of those places. I hate to admit it, but there have been weeks where I have eaten at least one meal there every day. Sometimes twice.... Charlotte isn't known for its pizza. I moved here from up north 25 years ago and growing up I. The northeast sets the bar pretty high in terms of pizza. Portifino's is great. The sauce is sweet and portioned perfectly. The cheese is nice and salty, so you actually taste it. The toppings are flavorful, and again, well proportioned. My favorite is the Caprice which comes with tomato, fresh mozzarella, olive oil and fresh basil. It's amazing. The pasta dishes are excellent. I'd recommend the linguini with clam sauce and throw in some shrimp and broccoli for good measure. The Calzones are HUGE. I get mine with Mushroom, sausage, pepperoni and black olives. The But their subs are really what stands out. The chicken Philly has to be one of the best sandwiches in town. I could go on and on here because I've had almost everything on the menu here but no one has the time or attention spans for that. The service is excellent. It's a family run business and it FEELS like a family run business. They care about what they're doing. The person at the counter taking your order has a stake in your satisfaction. Don't get me wrong, we're not talking about Ritz Carlton Gold Standard. It's a pizza joint run by REAL people. But they're good people, and they actually care. That's better in so many ways. My best recommendation is to go get lunch with a friend, coworker, or even by yourself and sit in a booth by the window, watch the city do its thing and enjoy some real food made by real people. This was disappointing as it felt like I basically just paid for a small portion of egg noodles with one egg on top. It was quite bland. - Orecchiette (4/5): Friend liked it, but it was very heavy and made him feel bloated after/need to use the restroom. I also requested no cheese on my tagliatelle due to allergy and it came out with cheese... so they returned with another one that looked a bit smaller than my friend's, who got it regularly.
