We visited Enseamada Cafe again recently for a weekday dinner to try some more of their specialties. It wasn't too busy when we arrived at 6PM. The entire restaurant smelled of sugar and dough as they had just baked a fresh batch of malasadas! Of course had to buy one as well, along with the massive amount of food... Ube Pancakes w/ Macadamia ($13.50) - Two thick and fluffy pancakes sit in essentially a vat of ube cream. The pancakes are excellent - soft and fluffy with a bit of a bounce to them. My wife commented that she thought they might have added rice flour to contribute to the almost mochi-like texture. The pancakes are a deep purple color but only have the slightest ube flavor. The real meat of the ube comes in the cream sauce. They give a ton, enough to almost completely cover the pancakes in the bowl. It's thick and creamy and full of earthy ube flavor. While the pancakes soak in the cream they don't become soggy at all. We opted to pay $1.50 extra for the macadamia nuts. They are crushed and slightly salted contributing more flavor and crunch. In the future I would never order the pancakes without the nuts. The pancakes really are excellent. I liked them way more than the more famous Ludi's downtown. (5/5) Garlic Noodles w/ Lechon ($20) - I thought this would be similar to the garlic noodles found most famously in SF but these are completely different. They don't have much garlic flavor at all; instead the dish tastes kind of like generic Chinese lo mein complete with a slightly sweet soy sauce enveloping the noodles. For an extra $10 I added the Lechon which they are pretty generous with. Tons of crunchy meat bits strewn all around the top, fatty and delicious. (4/5) Adobo Bowl ($14.95) - This is a well arranged plate with two small scoops of rice, almost vestigial given the amount of meat, a base of mac salad topped with greens, and two entire tender chicken thighs marinated in adobo seasoning. The macaroni still has a bit of a bite so it's not too overcooked and is mixed in a really creamy and somewhat watery sauce with plenty of veggies mixed! The thighs are tender, slightly sweet, tangy and savory in flavor. I'm not 100% certain that the thighs are actually stewed/simmered because there's not any liquid base included and the exterior of the chicken is dry. It's not the best adobo I've eaten, but they are pretty generous with the portion size. (4/5) Surprisingly, my favorite thing in the restaurant is their green sauce found at the condiment counter. It's so fresh tasting, very cilantro forward with plenty of fish sauce umami. I was told they make it fresh every morning and was encouraged to take more since it was near the end of the day and they would have to throw it out! Enseamada Cafe is very generous with portion size, especially in terms of protein. We ended up finishing maybe only 1/3 of the food we ordered, took the rest home and ate with more veggies and rice over the next couple of days. It's definitely worth the money, although I question how nutritionally balanced the dishes are! Bathrooms: Single unisex room
This place have been on my list for a while now and I finally had the chance to try. This is a solid 4 star. There is a parking lot so it shouldn't be a trouble to find parking. You order at the counter and the food will come out when ready. You bus your own table and the utensils and condiments are at a designated table. It was steady when we came so not too busy. Foodwise: 808 mix plate 4.5/5: it was a big plate that can easily feed 2 people. You have the option of adding on ribs if you choose for additional cost. We got half pork ribs and half beef ribs. The beef ribs was a little disappointing, not enough meat, not tender. Pork ribs were good. Fried shrimp and lumpia and spam was good. The rice and Mac salad help balance out the sauce from the meat. Chicken adobo 5/5: this was a really good dish for a good price. You get 3 pieces of huge thigh + rice, Mac salad and salad. Flavorful and tender. Pandan crusher halo halo 5/5: yummy. What you would expect and it would be perfect for a hot day. Halaya enseamada 2.5/5: I was pretty Disappointed with this one since the name of the restaurant was of this bread. The bread though was very very dry. The flavor was good but the dryness was very overpowering Overall, a solid place and I'm glad they opened a second location closer to me. I definitely would be back when I'm craving a good home cook meal
First visit, this place is located in a strip mall area. I was planning on eating inside for lunch, but it was so freezing cold inside that I ended up getting the order to go. Unfortunately, their selection of drinks were virtually all high sugared options, they didn't even sell bottled water (yet they had a little container with courtesy water for guest dining in). I ordered the Hurricane Chicken and it was excellent, and the drizzle of spicy mayo made it the bomb! Side of rice was cooked perfectly and had a lot of flavor; the Mac salad was creamy and very tasty.
Enseamada Cafe is an absolute gem in Everett! From the moment we walked in, the service was incredibly fast and so genuinely friendly--the staff greeted us with warm smiles, took our order quickly, and everything came out piping hot in no time. It felt like they really cared about making our visit special. The food? Mind-blowingly amazing. The ube pancakes are pure decadence--fluffy, perfectly infused with that vibrant ube flavor, topped with a luscious ube cream sauce that's rich without being overly sweet. It's the ideal balance of indulgent and just-right, and I could eat them every day! We also got the sisig, and wow--the portions of pork belly are seriously generous. Tender, crispy-edged pieces loaded with that signature tangy, savory goodness. It was hearty and flavorful, easily enough to share. And the fried chicken? The sauces that come with it elevate it to another level--perfectly crispy chicken paired with dipping sauces that add just the right kick and depth. Every bite was packed with island-inspired flavor. This spot nails it on taste, portion size, and hospitality. If you're anywhere near Everett, do yourself a favor and go--it's worth every star! Honestly thought I'd left a review ages ago. Enseamada is one of my hidden gems I recommend up north. Casual location, ample parking with a nice plaza, and delicious food plus dessert. Hard to beat simplicity. A bit pricey at first glance but proportional to the quantity. Large portions, ube items, and halo halo are a huge selling point, getting dessert while here is convenient. Pipikaula Ribs - their plates are comforting and filling. Not a fan of the BBQ ribs on the inihaw plate because there's too much sauce (though I know people love sauce), so these ribs are amazing. Salty, savory, and juicy. Meat is tender and majority falls off the bone easily. Mac is tasty, creamy, and not too saucy.
Cute cafe style Filipino/Hawaiian fusion restaurant, seat yourself, bust your own table type of vibe with limited staff interaction. One thing I loved to see when I walked in was multiple Filipino families sitting around the table, very good sign that the food was good. I ordered the Kara Kara, very generous portion and the peanut sauce paired so well with the crispy Kara Kara and veggies. My cousin ordered the 808 and loved the ribs, we both had leftovers to take home. Seen some reviews about their ube so we opted for the mango halo halo which was very good! If you're in the area definitely check them out!
Super delicious Filipino/Hawaiian restaurant with crazy delicious food. The food are a fusion of Filipino favorites like Sisig, Lechon, Kare-kare with island favorites like garlic shrimp, bbq chicken (which taste like huli-huli chicken, served with rice, salad and Mac salad. The Pandan crush halo-halo is also superb and feels different than traditional halo-halo but in a good way. Portions are quite large for the price, so definitely good value for what you pay. Service is quite fast too. Definitely would come back to try the rest of their dishes. For reference, we ordered crispy pork belly bites, sisig bowl, grilled garlic pork belly bowl, 808 plate with bbq chicken & pandan crush halo-halo. Two thumbs up, way up!
Visited Enseamada Cafe with a couple friends for lunch after years of wanting to go and it did not disappoint! First off, the interior is super cute. You seat yourself and order at the front counter. The place is a bit smaller than expected so you may have to wait on a busier day. Food wise, there was not a single thing I didn't enjoy, but I absolutely loved their sweets and I'm usually not a sweet person! The Ube Pancakes and Ube Halo Halo were hits in my book. I also loved how they cooked their lechon. The skin was soo crispy and the meat was still tender. I'm definitely coming back and I hope to try other menu items.
The food and the drinks are incredible! The drinks are so creative and decorated, layered with yummy surprises. You can tell they take their time to make sure everything tastes AND looks delicious! I got the mango halo halo drink, a coconut refresher (it's like coconut water but better) and pipikalua rib plate. I also got the mango tres leches but haven't tried it yet. It's so hard to find good tres leches so I'm looking forward to it!! The ribs have fish sauce which gives off a fishy smell but the taste is right on point. The restaurant was packed full, so I took my food to go. They even wrapped our drinks in saran wrap So they wouldn't spill in the car! So so happy I found this place!!
Stopped in for their brunch to finally try their famous ube pancakes and did not disappoint! I was worried it might be too sweet but it was just the right amount. Pancakes were thicccc and soak up the sauce beautifully, the macadamia nuts are the perfect crunchy topping. My husband got the longanisa plate and subbed for adobo rice.. 10/10 no notes. We rarely indulge in heavy Filipino breakfast that put you in a comatose right after these days but this was sooo worth it. I highly recommend yall come in during brunch on the weekends!
Yes!!! So good. Hearty, comforting, flavorful food. Everything was delicious. The beef rib plate was the star for us as well as all the flavors of butter mochi and sago/jelly desserts. We had the pandan which was great! Will definitely be coming again to try more of the menu although we tried many things The flavored coffees were surprisingly good too. Flavorful and surprisingly not as sweet as I expected, which was perfect. We ordered at the counter and food was brought to the table. Restaurant seating is somewhat limited but we had no issue at 10am on a Sunday.
This place is an "off the beaten path" treasure for my wife and I. Disclaimer: I'm not from Washington. My wife's family lives close to Redmond, WA. As a California resident, comparatively speaking, I found the food in the immediate Redmond area to be lacking as a whole. With the closure of Dairy Queen, my options in Redmond were reduced disproportionately by one of my favorites. Anyhow, I wanted to try something different, as we made a road trip to the Seattle Premium Outlets. The photos and the menu from the previous Yelp reviews really resonated with my wife. And with that said, my wife did all the ordering. Anyhow, let's jump to the conclusion. The grilled longanisa with adobo rice was excellent. The longanisa was expertly grilled (screaming with flavor) and the rice was not like anything I've had before. The flavors in the rice were subtle but memorable. The stringy chicken or pork (not sure which - probably pork) added a complementary texture to the rice. I will go out of my way to revisit this dish.
Was in the area and decided to give this a try. It was just ok but not a fan of the sisig. It was fried pork but it was hard to chew and if you can get your teeth into it, it was chewy. We were just gnawing at it. Tried to finish it since it wasn't cheap and definitely not going to take it home as leftovers. We didn't succeed and just wasted food. The Filipino guilt our parents drilled into us about wasting food and thinking of all the poor hungry children sunk in!! As for The BBQ ribs and chicken, that too was just ok, nothing to write home about. BBQ sauce was just...well bbq sauce. I probably won't be back unless invited to meet someone there, perhaps. If so, I'd try something else for sure. Maybe better luck next time.

Enseamada Cafe has always been on my list since it is so close to where I live but I never actually went to try it until recently. I wish I had tried it sooner because it is so delicious! Even my boyfriend, who normally has not been a fan of Filipino food, loved this place and wants to go back. The first thing we noticed when we got inside was the display of desserts by the cash register. Lots of different flavors of sago, cheesecake, and other desserts. We had to get one to go before we left. For our food we got the sisig bowl and 808 plate with ribs. We also got a regular halo halo. The portions for the savory items is huge. I felt that it was worth the cost. Both our dishes came with a salad and mac. The mac salad was so creamy and delicious. They gave me a huge portion of the mac but my boyfriend noticed he got less than me (he was sad about that) The sisig had good flavor. I found that the sisig was not as crispy as I've had and some pieces were actually a little bit hard. That didn't take away too much from the dish though as it was just a few pieces. The 808 plate had massive ribs that were flavorful. Also had lumpia, spam, and I believe fried shrimp? It is definitely big enough to share between two people. I loved the halo halo! It was not too sweet. The taro ice cream had a very nice taro flavor. The texture of the jellies and boba were great too. The restaurant is somewhat small and can get busy on the weekends, so be mindful if you want to dine in. read more

Just tried their drinks/freshers to start with and it did not disappoint. Their mango refresher is very delicious. Also had their mango tres leches for dessert - really good. Also tried Calamansi refresher not expecting the green tea taste so wasn't a big fan of that one but if you like green tea this is a good lemony twist to it. read more

The ambiance is a islander theme experience with ukulele and beach music. A great atmosphere to enjoy good food. The customer service is outstanding. They make skilled desserts and Filipino dishes but they get it done within a reasonable amount of time. I ordered the ube halo halo which was delicious. You have corn flakes, jello, boba, an UBE SOFT SERVE. With lecheflan on Top. When the dessert melted it transformed my halo halo into a clean tasting ube flavored wonderful experience. Wow! What a yummy pleasant surprise and meal. Everything was very flavorful, and complimented each other tastefully. My only feedback was the shrimp had the shells on and I wished that it was not because the flavoring was amazing and I wanted more of it not lost in the shells. 3.5 starts. A cute clean, Filipino/Hawaiian food shop in Everette. They have lots of options on sweet drinks and desserts, and they all look very enticing. We tried the regular halo halo. It was very big, sweet, and satisfying to people who have a sweet tooth. As far as the food, they offer standard Filipino and Hawaiian dishes. All pretty high calories, even the sides that come with, and without any lower carbs options. The beef rib was huge but mostly bone. The restaurant would be much better in my opinion, if they can offer healthier and lower carb options, at least for the savory food. The food was tasty but I felt like I've gained 3 pounds walking out. For this reason, we probably won't come here very often. We will probably come in for the sweets if we are around the area again. read more

The place is very cozy, it was clean and nice. You can sit anywhere you want and you would have to order at the cashier, but they will serve the food on your table. I had trouble choosing which one to order because they all sound so good. I settled for Loco Moco meal, and my husband had the Beef Inihaw Plate and the Ube Pancake. We also had the Mango refreshers. In general, everything is great! However there are just some stuff that didn't go nicely with us. Ube Pancake: 10/5 DEFINITELY A MUST TRY! This is what we enjoyed the most. The pancake is so soft and when paired with the strawberry and the ube sauce? Ugh!!! *Chef's Kiss* the BEST! Loco Moco: ~4/5 this has 1 pc of burger steak and 1 egg topped on hawaiian fried rice, and with generous amount of gravy. Taste is good but i just find the meat a little tough then. Maybe it's just that batch or something. Beef Inihaw: ~4/5 tastes good too, it has macaroni salad, rice and 3 ribs. It's kinda sweet, which is fine with me, but we just dont like that the portion we got was a bit fatty. Mango Refresher: it was sweet and tasty, it's just that it's not for me. I just dont like that it tastes like it has coconut milk too. Still, it's good just not for me. The staff there are nice and friendly too. This small cafe is a must try. read more

Yummmm! I've had this place bookmarked forever and we finally had the time to try it. First off, everything was exactly my taste! From the decor, to the menu and desserts. One of the things I appreciate about this place is a lot of Filipino places do not really have an option for seafood. It's only usually meat with some having the exception of tofu sisig, shrimp pancit canton, etc. but I like this they have garlic shrimp! It was very flavorful and the green cilantro sauce they have is top tier. My fiancé had the 808 mix plate and he said it's better than L&L so that says a lot LOL. For desserts, we got the ube cookie halo halo which my son loved. We also got a leche flan and ube leche flan enseymada. We also got the ube tres leches which was delicious. I've been here 3 times and it never disappoints. Great good, service is fast and clean place. There can be a line but usually enough seating for everyone. I got the Inihaw Plate and it was a great portion size. Desserts are delicious as usual, halo halo being a popular option. They also have boxed desserts such as ube tiramisu/cheesecake and mango flavors. There are also pastry buns you can buy. The 808 mixed plate is a popular choice, and you can get mixed meats! Would definitely revisit again and again. read more
I don't have a lot of time to write a big review but every time we come here, we are happy we visited. The super friendly family that runs this restaurant used to have a food truck that we loved. After they opened this restaurant, the truck no longer came so we have to drive all the way to Everett for their delicious cooking. The folks that take your order and bring your food to you are so sweet - always smiling and friendly. The dining space has a lot of small tables 2 and 4 toppers but they get busy and fill up quickly. It's good for one person to order and one to hunt for a table, if you're able. Plenty of parking since it is in a little strip mall kind of area. read more

My favorite go to Filipino restaurant outside of seattle. Would highly recommend the mix plate because it has a little bit of everything, although the bbq rib was a bit tough. The garlic noodle with shrimp is packed with flavor but can be heavy. The crispy sisig is dry and not crispy. You can't go wrong with any of their drinks and desserts, ube pancakes were not too sweet and halo halos always have a nice surprise in every bite. Staff is friendly and helpful. The place gets pretty crowded during lunch hours. There are cute small decors that add to the simplicity of this nice Filipino restaurant, the ukuleles are toned if you want to play them while waiting! read more

I ordered HURRICANE chicken to go yesterday and they put so much sauce on the chicken and also on top of Mac salad. It tasted terrible. We have eaten here before and ordered the same dish that wasn't like the one that did yesterday. Pretty disappointed! read more

Would rate it 6 stars if I could! I've been hearing about this place a lot from my Filipino friends and I finally decided to go up to Everett with a couple of my friends! Let's just say this place was worth the hype. The ambiance gave me the vibe of a bakery/coffee shop, filled with pastries and greenery. The owner himself greeted us when we walked in and he was very kind to us! I got the Sisig Bowl while my friends got the Ube Pancakes, Ube Halo Halo, and Chicken Adobo. The portions were VERY generous, I would highly advise you to come here on an empty stomach because you will have a difficult time finishing the whole thing. I did not have a hard time because the food was truly delicious, the pork on my Sisig Bowl was so crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside! The glaze and sauce added to the bowl made it taste much better. Would I come back here? Yes, ASAP! read more

Definitely hands down one of my favorite restaurants in north Seattle area!!! This is a must must must eat! It's definitely worth the drive if you're not close by. By far the yummiest Filipino food I've ever had!! The portions are huge and the prices are great!! You really can't beat it. I can eat at this place multiple times a week and that's saying a lot! I usually don't like eating at the same place too often hahaha But we've been here so many times and every time it's been delicious! The staff is also super friendly which is a huge plus. I can't say anything else than just go eat here!! It's a very small place so try to go during non-busy hours because the tables are limited! I was around the area and have discovered this place through Yelp. I have seen posts on IG but haven't gotten a chance to try them til now. As I entered the restaurant, I was welcomed with some nice Hawaiian music around the background. The menu was nicely displayed above the counter. As I was scanning the menu, I knew exactly what to order. The owner was very nice and took our order. I decided to try the ube sweet cream iced coffee and the crispy sizzling sisig. My partner got the white mocha macnut iced coffee and one of their specials, hurricane chicken plate. The coffees were good but just a tad sweet to my liking. Wish the coffee was a bit stronger. Here are my thoughts of each dish: Crispy sizzling sisig: I love sisig especially when the pork belly skin is crispy and marinated well. The dish was tasty especially when a fried egg was added on top of the meats. I really like the generous portion size of meats. Although, it was a bit heavy for me, I couldn't finish the dish so had to bring it back home. This dish would've been a good alternative to share instead. Hurricane chicken: This dish was very good! It came with a few pieces of karaage smothered with a creamy sauce. The dish came with two scoops of rice, mac salad and a side salad. I thought this dish was my favorite. The chicken was crispy and had a nice balance of a lunch plate. I will definitely order this again. Overall, a solid Filipino brunch place outside of North Seattle. My husband heard about this Cafe from a coworker so we tried it for dinner. Oh. my Goodness! The smells when you walk in are so good! The service was impeccable! Friendly, nonjudgmental as some places can be if you don't know their cuisine. Happy to tell you what is in items (I HAD to ask about all of the desserts). I had the Crispy Kare Kare and it was so delicious! Lucky I have a fair amount of Filipino coworkers and I know of lechon and this was wonderful! My husband had the 808 ad he gave me a bite of his ribs...SO good! I was full but not overly stuffed when finished. I was full enough that I had to take a dessert home (oh darn!). I chose the Ube Tres Leches cake and it was delicious. I only ate half so I could save some for the next day. Definitely going to be back AND tell my coworkers and friends! read more
Come before the rush! Arrived a little early and was the first person to order. A huge rush of people arrived shortly after so it seems like a very popular place for the community! Ordered the 808 plate and the Inihwa plate with chicken. With a little bit of the sauce that they give you, you have a healthy portion of food. Everything is so good, the Filipino food I was in search for. The spam tastes sooo crispy and good. And the eggrolls even tastier. The chicken was sliding off the boneeee. Cute little place that offer good dishes with decent price. . Ube coffee was great. Not too sweet or creamy. I just wish the coffee to be a little bit stronger . Inihaw Plate with ribs: the ribs were amazing and had perfect tenderness. I'm glad they actually put some salads with good dressing in there . Garlic Noodles with shrimp: great balance in flavors. But I wish they added a tar more butter to brighten up the garlic. Shrimps were big and fresh. We also bought 2 Enseamadas but didn't try yet. But overall we're happy with the meal read more

Location: little busy strip mall. Not hard to find, parking moderate busy. Aesthetics: cute place, small and cozy. Price: 5 entrees and a halo drink (dessert?) came out to $115 (including a $10 tip) Food Quality: I had high hopes and drove 30 mins to try this place out. I will say its average. They have a nice tangy sauce they put on ribs but outside of that nothing special. Overall Opinion: Def. Not worth the drive and paying $20 in gas to eat decent food. read more

Wowowowow. This might be my new favorite spot! It's a Filipino Hawaiian fusion place and super adorable spot. Everything was delicious- from the Sissig (super crispy) and huge beef ribs. The portions are also HUGE. We loved the lumpia and the ube pancakes were also delicious. I wish I had more room to try some of their desserts like the halo halo - next time! I took home a tub of mango tapioca pudding (so tasty) and the enseamadas (loved them!) The service was also so friendly- our ube pancakes were a bit delayed so one of the owners gave us a free enseamada! Highly recommend and already can't wait to go back! read more

YUM! You are missing out if you don't check out this place. Location: in Evergreen Center so there's plenty of parking. Ambiance: cute interior. It's clean, well lit and inviting. Playing good music! I got my order to go but wow this place smells amazing! I got the 808 mix plate so I could try a lil bit of everything. No complaints here! Everything was delicious and very filling. Enseamada Cafe is a Filipino/Hawaiian fusion gem! It's tucked away in a little plaza up in Everett, but boy oh boy is this place worth the trip! The restaurant is nicely decorated with a lot of natural lighting. I went for dinner the two times I went, and the restaurant was packed both times. Fortunately their service is super quick, so I had my food in less than five minutes and was able to find some seating. If too busy, you can certainly take the food to a park nearby and eat it there! Onto the food! I was flabbergasted by the PORTIONS! You can easily share one entree and a halo halo between two people and be perfectly content. As for the taste, I got both the Sizzling Sisig and the 808 Combo Plate. The beef ribs were certainly the highlight of the show. The meat was succulent and fairly flavorful. As you try any of their food, you'll consistently find that pretty much every thing packs some strong flavors without feeling too salty. Last but not least, the Halo Halo is a must have. Wrapping your meal up with one of these desserts is the only way to do it. Was hoping to give five stars but the tastes were just not what everyone said. We ordered the 808 super plate that costs a few dollars more but you get all three meats - beef rib, pork rib, and chicken. All have the same sauce but for some reason the beef and chicken didn't taste very tasty. The pork rib was good, especially with the added green hot sauce. "Lumpia" were tiny. Mac salad was a bit runny for my liking. Rice was a little dried but passable. To me, the best part was the ube coffee- tasted like Vietnamese coffee with one sweet cream. Strong but good. Just not the hype Yelpers have made it to be. Good but not worth driving the distance for. read more
Great spot for Filipino food!! If you're in the area, this place is definitely worth the visit. The food was delicious, and portions were big too. The menu is pretty small, but still difficult to choose from since everything looked so good. I got the 808 mix plate with beef ribs and split the ube pancakes. The 808 plate had so much food and it was a great way to try a mix of various items! The bbq ribs were big, and I liked the bbq sauce. I was only able to finish half this plate and packed the rest home. And the ube pancakes were amazing!!! There was so much ube sauce and it had the rich sweet ube flavor. The server recommended adding macadamia nuts to it and it really took it over the top! Looks like the halo halo is good too, but we were too full to try it.
