Jerry was my go to mechanic for almost 18 years. Honest and reliable. His employees were A+ in their knowledge and customer service. If anything went wrong or I had a question or concern, they would check my car out and many times make an adjustment free of charge. Sadly, that was the old days. Jerry sold the place and I didn't get to wish him well. Met the new owner once. He up charged the oil change from previous owner by $40 which I guess is how times are nowadays. I spoke to them on Friday, Apr 21, and arranged to drop my car off the following Monday. Got there Monday mid-afternoon and the place was locked up tight. Spoke to a guy who had an RV parked at the curb, and he told me they opened Monday morning, but everybody bailed midday. 4 weeks later, they've never reopened, all the cars have been removed from the yard, and Robert has not returned my recent texts. If there was an option to exceed more than 5 stars, I would definitely give this place like 7 or 8 out of 5. Whenever I go to this place, I know I don't have to worry about shady mechanics trying to rip me off of my money. I have been going to this place since I was 16 for oil changes, brake parts, etc. My mom has been going to this place, for who knows how long before that. I actually bought my first car (97 Honda) from the owner of this place, Jerry, and the only reason why I got rid of that car was because of an accident, not to faulty services. After I got my second car, I still take my car for regular services here. I never, never have to worry about Jerry's judgement when it comes to repairs and whatever to the car. I know his best interest is for me and the car, not for profit. I'm really very surprised to see so many positive reviews for Jerry and his auto shop. Hopefully my experience will shed a more realistic light on the quality of Jerry's service. Synopsis of my experience: - I dropped off my car because it was leaking oil from its differential - I pick it up and it's now making a grinding noise from the rear of the car - I bring it back to Jerry and ask him to take a look at the noise - He takes a whole day before getting back to me and says "I took it for a drive, I heard the noise, I don't know what it's related to, it appears the 'pumpkin' in your differential is damaged" -- already trying to distance himself he asserts that it's merely coincidental the noise started after his repairs. He says he will call me the next day with a quote. - 24 hours later Jerry calls and says that he "has no idea why it's making the noise," distancing himself even further from his repair. Is a mechanic that says "I don't know why your car is making that noise" a good mechanic- especially considering that the noise started ONLY AFTER his repair? I really wonder how he has so many positive reviews. For your information, I have a 1997 Toyota 4Runner. It was in great condition before Jerry touched it. Please beware of Jerry and Enterprise Import Service. If you really care about your car and want quality service, please don't take it to Jerry. I have been scammed and really repent respecting Yelp reviews as a sole criteria in selecting a mechanic. This is the only place I've found that has genuine, honest people that don't rip you off when you have a problem with your car. After I bought my first car and moved to the valley, I had no clue where to get my car maintenance. From quick fills for my air pressure in my tires, to oil changes, to replacing mirrors, they do it with smiles on their faces and barely make a profit. DO NOT TRUST THIS SHOP. I brought my car just for an estimate and the owner jerry assured me he would not do any actual work he would just look at the car and give his diagnosis. well when I came back for the car he presented me with a bill for $150 saying he had to reattach the trailing arm as the bolt had come off. he never got my authorization to do the work and charged me $150 for literally taking a wrench and tightening a bolt. I checked with 3 other shops who all told me that should be a very simple quick and inexpensive job and anyone charging $150 was dishonest and not to be trusted. not to mention he was extremely rude and unprofessional and there was dirt all over the floor mats from dirty shoes inside my car. I can't stress enough how dishonest and scummy he is and hopefully this warning will help other people avoid being cheated by him. you can see from my other reviews I am not a picky person and I leave almost all positive reviews. I must first preface this review as I always do with; I only write reviews on exceptional establishments and egregiously inferior ones. Indulge me please first. I have three cars (Lexus and Toyota) that I love dearly (certified car freak). My Car maintenance and repair experience life was an empty, lonely, frustrating experience until I met Jerry of Enterprise Import Service. His auto service is all I had ever hoped for during many years that I was being overcharged by the dealerships and disappointed by independent repair facilities that promised much and seldom delivered. Then I visited Jerry, after reading the glowing reviews on Yelp. The reviews are all true. He has exceeded my expectations too many times to write about here. I unequivocally say give him one chance. After using Jerry's shop for years, I had to eventually leave. Truly disappointing. I had a heater core go bad in my '98 Celica. White fumes/smoke were coming out of my vents on the 405 one day. My AC was weak/non-existent. I went to Jerry to have it fixed, however it was not properly fixed after 3 attempts. Why? New or inexperienced techs? Too much work? Backed up? Considering I live up in Ventura County, it took some time to arrange rides 3 TIMES, (pre-UBER days), and leave my car for 1-3 days. I was very LOYAL and 100% understanding with Jerry and his shop during the 2nd and 3rd drop-offs, however, they kept telling me the issue was repaired after each visit!? My AC was STILL weak and the cold/hot dial wouldn't function on an in-between hot/cold setting - it was either wayyyy too hot or too cold. Taking out the instrument panel to do the heater core repair, they scratched the gear shifter, and steering wheel. They also failed to properly secure my A-pillar moldings. I had my car washed after the 2nd repair, then turned a sharp corner - IT RAINED in my car from the top of the A-pillars - all over my HEAD and LAP!? I called/text'd Jerry, and I think he was just DONE with this repair, and the re-dos. He didn't return my phone calls or texts. I'm sad I can no longer go to Jerry, but on the flip side, it forced me to find a new Toyota repair shop, "Import Car Specialist" in Thousand Oaks. My new shop fixed the issue, and then some. I had a Saturn and, per a friend's suggestion, asked Jerry's opinion on a problem even though he doesn't do domestic cars. He inspected it, told me what was wrong and DID NOT charge me! Because of this encounter my next car was a Toyota. I bring it to him for everything from simple oil changes to hit-and-run damage repair (I got hit, the other guy ran). After nearly 80,000 miles the car runs like the day I bought it and the repairs done after of the accident were perfect - you can not tell where I was hit. Also, Jerry will tell you if there is something he can not fix and recommend you to someone HE trusts. I had a tire problem and Jerry recommended me to a nearby tire place and they fixed my tire in 10 minutes for $5 bucks! read more

Last weekend my Prius stalled on the 101! I had to have my car towed on a Sunday night which means all shops were closed. I called different mechanics nearby who worked on a Toyota Prius because apparently not all do, most suggest you go to the dealership. Enterprise Import Service was the only shop who offered a free estimate. He had time to look at the car so I had the car towed to his shop. Turns out it was a battery issue. Went to Jerry to get my car repaired. He sounded like a good man, like most are stating. But his mechanic/body shop work sucks. I know because I was unfortunate to experience it. Dont take his word when he says he's gonna call you for follow up. He won't. You need to pick up the phone and call yourself to do that. I Found the place while I was passing by. Saw a big red sign that read, "TOYOTA/ LEXUS". You would think they specialize in those models but the name probably came with the building when he took over the place. Anyhow, I had a brake job done and had to take it back because the differential was leaking. He told me they forgot to seal it...fair enough. Then I had this problem with the cluster. Left my car with him for a day. Didn't call when he said he would so I called for follow up. He told me I can come over so I did. I was told that the problem is "VERY RARE FOR MY CAR MODEL" and that he'd have to replace the whole cluster and gave me a quote. I declined at the time so I took the car back and unplugged the battery myself and the problem was fixed (been 4 years now). At this time I still thought he was cool. Even recommended a few friends to this place. He noticed my car needed body work, which it did badly. Jerry said he'll make it look as good as new. He said he'd call me for a quote which he did promptly since there was money to be made IMO. His quote was a little higher than another shop quoted me for but I thought, for once in my life, I'll pay a little more because I do believe that you get what you pay for and I wanna see this car looking new again. When I dropped off my car, one of his worker spoke in spanish to him and pointed at an unusual crease/dent and Jerry acknowledged it but quickly redirected the conversation to a different topic. Little did I know that a day later, he called to tell me that it'll cost an extra $500 to fix the frame damage because his worker "found frame damage" and it was where the little crease that his worker was pointing at the previous day. Had I known this price mark up ahead of time, I honestly wouldnt have proceeded with the work...although good strategy by Jerry. Jerry gave me an estimate of 4 days but almost a week later and still no call from him. So I decided to call to see what the situation was. He said it was almost ready and he'd call me when it was done. I tried not to call because I didnt want to rush him or his workers. I just wanna see my car looking new again. He finally called, probably after a week and told me to come pick it up. I got there and man 'o man, was I ever disappointed. He got all the parts from the junk yard which I have no problem with. I do like OEM as much as possible. But It was missing moldings because my car was special edition and he got it from a regular model. I told him what the problem was and all he kept saying was, 'are you sure?". After convincing him, he told me to bring the car back when I have time. Next, the other car part he got had two noticeable dents. Looks like they just painted over without straightening the body. I was already getting annoyed and at this time, I didn't wanna be a nice guy anymore. I demanded that his workers fix the dents. Furthermore, I had to bring the car again at a suitable time for me. The straw that broke the camel's back was when one of the headlight kept moving loose. I inspected the problem myself and found that something had broke off and needed replacement. It was the part that holds the light assembly using a tiny screw. Took the car back and he said it'll only take a couple of hours. For once I thought, "cool!". When he called to say my car was ready, he was in a rush to leave. But this time, I wanted to inspect the work before I left. What I discovered was that he used silicone sealant and super glue (LOFLMAO). I kid you not. I asked, "this is temporary, right?". By then he seemed a bit embarassed that I was onto his little Mickey Mouse work and said he'll order the part and call me back when the part arrives...so more waiting. To summarize the rest: Inside plastic panel cracked (6 inches) when they tried to fix the frame damage. sagging bumper. paint drips all over car windows (he tried to take it off on the spot and did more. damage because he used razor to scrape them, creating scratches on the window glass. read more

After being totally riped off by Vista Lexus in Woodland Hills, I was fearful to go to any place to fix my Lexus LS400 but found Enterprise Import on yelp and decided to try getting my oil and brakes changed. At first he said nothing was wrong with my breaks just like the dealership had done, but then he asked what was actually wrong and I mentioned that the car was very rough when I pressed on the breaks. He checked the front breaks and changed those out right away as well as perform my oil change (which the dealership could not do). He also tightened my steering wheel (which I did not ask for) but it really needed it. The best part was the price. The dealership and other places had quoted me at almost twice the price that Jerry charged. It has been over 4 months since I took my Lexus to him and it's been running perfect. My car is due for another oil change and a couple of other small items and I decided to take my car only to him for everything including getting replacement wiper blades. As you can tell, I totally recommend Enterprise Import Service and Jerry. He's helpful, nice, and listens to the customer and their concerns while keeping cost for the customer in mind. read more

I came from Milwaukee to purchase Jerry's Lexus LS 430. He is very nice and professional to deal with and runs a very nice clean shop. He had all the service records for the car ready for me and the car set up just the way I wanted it. He even took a part off his personal car to fix my center console lid before I left. While waiting for that I saw two customers pull up that needed repair on their car and he took care of them very well. The next day I dropped the car off at the Lexus dealer just for a second opinion before I drive 2000 miles and they couldn't find a thing wrong with the car ,it was in Great shape and they couldn't make any recommendations. First off, I do think Jerry is a very honest man. I took my truck and my wife's mini-van to him for several years. Last March I took the minivan in for the "major service" and because the van was making a "clunking" noise when accelerating and decelerating. Jerry did the service and said that the motor mounts, struts & a bunch of other stuff needed to be done. All told, it was over $2,500. Since the van was 13 years old and had 140k miles on it I said, "The van is barely worth that much, I think I'll just get a new car." He said, "This will fix it, it will drive like a dream." I said, "are you sure it's not the transmission?" and he said, "Yes, the transmission is solid." I decided to go ahead with the repairs. After my wife picked it up it was still doing the "clunking" noise. We took it back, he screwed around with it, had his tranny guy look at it and - you guessed it, it needed a transmission. He quoted me $2521. Since I was already in for that much I, like a moron, decided to put a tranny in it. He kept it for 3 WEEKS while he tried to get the tranny fixed. They took the tranny out, had it rebuilt, put it back in with no improvement. They did this multiple times until the tranny guy said, "I can't fix it." So Jerry got a used tranny from a salvage yard (I paid him $1549 ) and he put it in. It finally ran decent. In June my truck started making a wobbling noise. I took it to Jerry and he said "It's the front wheel bearing. He charged me $500+ bucks for the bearing (& I think it was the control arm, I don't remember). Before I drove away he said, "It's still making the noise a little but it will go away, the bearing just needs to seat." I drove out of his lot and the noise was EXACTLY the same. So I went back and told Jerry. He said, "I don't know what else to do. I'll give you your money back." Which he did. Again, I don't think Jerry is looking to hose anybody. I took the truck to R&M Automotive in Northridge. They diagnosed it and fixed it. Not cheap but fixed. My wife's car started acting up again so we took it to R&M. There's all kinds of problems with it, including some of the stuff that Jerry replaced. R&M said that Jerry used cheap Chinese lower control arms and ball joints, the ball joints were already going south and needed to be replaced. It's very frustrating to take our cars to a mechanic, drop a load of cash only to have problems not actually be fixed. I don't know if Enterprise has too much business or he doesn't have the right guys working for him. All I know is that I'm out $4 grand on a minivan I would have junked if I'd gotten the straight scoop the first time I took it in. Your mileage may vary.... read more

The worst mechanic shop and body shop I have ever been to. The only good service is an oil change. Do not go there for any other type of service, especially body work. Very, very sub-par. He's a nice guy with his cute pictures on the wall and his fucking fish. It's all a con to make u feel comfortable. I'll never go back. Holy Moley, my Rav 4 looks like new even after the whole back end was crunched into the passenger row of the car. The color of my car is a wierd smoky metallic black with little glitter of greens, reds, blues...so, how the heck us this ever going to be matched. Whoooooooyah! It's all fixed!
