I wouldn't recommend this location. I had an okay experience but customer service could have been way better. I came on a Wednesday last week and wasn't able to secure a vehicle which fine, maybe I made the reservation too late. But the manager didn't try to rectify it or seem bothered by it. He recommended I go to Sission street but of course I didn't have a way to get there's I was on my way to work and he just didn't seem to care/came off insincere. Which again, maybe you don't but in customer service I think he could have tried more. Especially at their prices! You don't let it be known that you don't really care that much. Then I came this week and did get the car, but I got it on a quarter tank and apparently the policy is to receive it on a half tank. So I had to pay to fill it up which again, fine, but the manager just didn't seem concerned about retaining a future customer. This is one of the only locations that opens at 7:30 and they are right next to the 95 South & North exits so that's a huge plus. They do have after hour drop offs. But they don't have a huge selection of cars so keep that in mind. I had to wait almost 15 mins and I got there right as they opened as he was talking on the phone with another customer but I always thought that you prioritize the customer that is in front of you. The car was somewhat clean but a little dirty, had some old stains on the steering wheel and in general. They also aren't responsive to the phone either unless you call them right as they opened. We reserved a Mustang convertible thru Priceline about a week before our trip to Baltimore and as we were in the plane about to take off from Chicago, we got a phone call from this agency that the car was not available and we could have an SUV. If that wasn't satisfactory, I could rent a convertible at the airport from Enterprise. I told the person that it was there job to provide the car and if they wanted us to pick it up at the airport, that would be fine. They said they couldn't do that. I asked to speak with the supervisor who "had stepped out." I was placed on hold and had to turn my phone off. When I arrived in Baltimore, I called the agency twice and no one ever answered. We rented from Alamo at a higher rate. I'm no longer a fan of Enterprise. read more

Terrible experience. Enterprise couldn't accept my coupon for a free upgrade because they hardly had any vehicles on the lot. Furthermore, the location is suppose to open at 7:30am. When I arrived 10 minutes early for my reservation- an older white man told me they wouldn't open until 8:00 am, and was EXTREMELY rude toward my partner and I. When I called customer service, they confirmed that the location was suppose to open at 7:30. Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy being extorted by incompetent staff. My husband rented a minivan for a single day from this Enterprise location so that we could move a handful of cardboard boxes from Station North to Bolton Hill. In total, we drove the car less than 25 miles from the lot, between the two locations, and back. We were scheduled to drop off the vehicle on a Sunday. Conveniently, drop-offs are unattended on Sundays, giving the unscrupulous management at the 1501 S Caton location the perfect opportunity to extort their customers. The lot was packed, but we parked carefully and left room for others to maneuver. We picked up the vehicle in pristine condition and we dropped off the vehicle in pristine condition. Yet, we received a call first thing on Monday accusing us of damaging the vehicle. My husband made it very clear that the unattended drop-off policy lends itself to malfeasance and calmly explained that he would not be held liable for damages sustained in the lot. After two phone conversations with staff, we thought we had resolved the issue. Then, the manager, Amad (sp?), sent us a letter indicating that we were expected to "file a claim" to cover the cost of the damages WE DID NOT CAUSE. Dayln (sp?) the assistant manager, has been tremendously helpful and indicated that Enterprise would cover the cost after our conversation at 11:45am on 5/14/2022. Pending a resolution, we would STRONGLY caution against renting from this location unless you enjoy being the victim in a poorly orchestrated racket. read more

After all of the bad reviews of THIS location I was quite reluctant to use this rental location, however, these guys were/are the best that I have experienced in an auto rental! Not really sure where these other customers were but MY EXPERIENCE was without a doubt simply fabulous from beginning to end! I received a rental car from Enterprise because my car is getting repaired. I was told to come back at 3pm and they would have a car available. Called back at 2:45pm to make sure a car was available, rep said there were no cars yet and to come down to their office around 3:30 closer to 4. I get their at 3:45 and the rep says they are cleaning out a car for me and that it would be 10 minutes more. More time passes and they finally have a car ready. The car does not look like it belongs with a top rental car company. The car has scratches, noticeable sticker residue on all doors, outside and inside were dirty, and it seems like the car was just sprayed with a cheap air freshener and then given to me. I asked the rep if they had any other cars available and they said no, and to call back tomorrow (2/20/18)to check. I have been calling this location since 8 am (so far 3 times) and there has been no answer. Next time I need a car I'll just go to the airport and get one read more

I have rented from the Caton Ave location on several occasions the most recent being this past week. They have always been very helpful and friendly. Considering I did have a reservation I waited a little longer than I should have but that in my opinion is minor. I think their maintenance on vehicles needs some improving. I had to put air in a tire every day as it had a leak. I was told I could take it to Firestone and have it fixed. Considering how slow Firestone always is it was easier and faster to put air in it everyday. I have five kids so my time is precious. If I need to rent a vehicle again I would definitely use them. I've been here for an hour and ten minutes and I'm still waiting for a car. They had one for me at 9:20 and magically the maintenance light turns on for an oil change. At 9:25 I was told it would be about 5 minutes for the next car. It's 9:46 and now "they're about to pull it out for you". I made the reservation last week and they collected all the info requested. This morning I get a call requesting more information, though they should have known I was already en route from being picked up by one of their employees. I rented a vehicle at this canton ave location. Courtney which is the mgr is the one whom I was working with needless to say she did not walk around the vehicle with me. Number 2 is Courtney seemed to be overwhelmed with work and can't handle her location when busy. I bought the vehicle back when supposed to. 2 days later I was hit with a damaged charges on my Credit card which I TOTALLY DIDN'T DO!! I spoke to the District mgr Chris I ask him to pull the tape which he told me he did and That I would not be charged cause Courtney didn't walk the vehicle with me. Well 3 weeks later and I am still waiting for my REFUND. I've call enterprise Investigation dept and they are waiting on the District mgr to close the claim. Well now I seemly can't get a response back /call from the District mgr nor Courtney. I have tried calling and leaving messages. This Location is a scam Im sure this has happened to other please beware of the BS at this Location. I would never rent from here again and I advise others the same look at the reviews. Chose this location because their rates are lower than others in the area, and only saw all the negative reviews after it was too late to book elsewhere. I had a totally fine experience with this place. I reserved an "intermediate" car, and got a "premium" car for no additional charge when I got there to pick it up. The car itself was very nice. It was a 2019 (current year) loaded with premium features, but the exterior of the car was dirty-- the car wash was broken, the employee said-- and the car reeked of smoke and whatever they sprayed to try to mask it. That's the main reason for my 3-star rating. I know there's little they can do after a customer smokes in a car, and I'd prefer a smoky car to no car at all, particularly over a busy holiday weekend, but it made my clothes stink, and was embarrassing for me when I drove friends around in the car. That said, the manager, John, was very courteous, and the pickup process was quick and efficient. Note-- they will pick you up as Enterprise's motto claims, but they won't drive very far. I had to shell out $16 for an Uber to the location (still cheaper than renting at any other Enterprise location) because I was too far away. read more

I recently rented a vehicle from enterprise on South Caton Ave. I had a reservation to have the vehicle for a week while my truck was in for repairs. I had the vehicle three days when I received a telephone call asking me to return the vehicle back to the Caton Ave location right away because the vehicle had been sold, and they needed me to return the vehicle as soon as possible. I could not believe they put me in a vehicle which had been sold and they needed me to return the Jeep that evening and they would place me in another vechile. I shared that by the time i got back from Parkville that evening from my appointment they would be close. But I agreed to return the vehicle on Saturday. Enterprise rep. said we are open untilt 1:00 P.M every Saturday are you sure you will be here. I said yes. Shawn then said that we ususally don't got off until about 1:30 PM because Saturdays are usually one of our busy rental days. I said no problem. I could be there by 12:30 at the latest . When I arrived as agreed that Saturday, GUEST WHAT? They has closed at noon. They had signs posted which read CLOSED AT NOON. NOON , NOON THEY CLOSED AT NOON.???????, The man told me they would be closing Saurday by 1:00 pm. I pulled out my contract to see if I had made a mistake. Sure enough the contract confirmed the conversation I had with enterprise, they close on Saturdays at !:PM. While on the enterprise lot I called enterprise and explain what was taken place. Enterprise said there records show that that location closes at 1:00 PM every Saturday, and they would note in there system that I came to the sutie and it was close before 1:00 PM. On that Monday when I called to find out what happen they said that they tried to call everyone who they remembered was returning on that Saturday and somehow they forgot me, I'm sorry Shawn said I met , some how we missed your contract to notify you. What great cutomer service. Enterprise place in a vegivle which had been sold, They call me and tell me bring back the vehicle on Saturday by 1:00 PM which the time they said , they were closed, It just happen to be the Saturday you all decide to close at noon.
