I picked up a car this morning while mine is in the shop. This location coordinates with insurance which makes things easy. They're also able to pick you up from the body shop, which saves you an Uber ride and additional cost. My agent was friendly and helpful. I wanted a compact or econo car so I wouldn't have to pay for a lot of gas. However, they had literally no cars so I ended up with a BMW SUV. While some people might be excited by that, the gas mileage for this vehicle is terrible. Also, if I need to rent beyond what my insurance covers I'll have to pay a much higher rate than the vehicle I wanted, which is annoying. I booked a car in advance weeks ago so I would have assumed they would have had the option I asked for available, but they didn't. That said, the employees here are nice, the space is clean, and the car I got is spotless and looks lovely. They didn't give me many extra charges other than gas and didn't give me a hard sell on the random additional things they offer (like more insurance or satellite radio) which I appreciated. Overall, I would use them again. read more

Stopped in the location to book an upcoming cross country trip, and the one agent in the location was too busy talking to her boss about scheduling new employees rather than tell her boss on the phone that she had to take care of a customer she continued to talk about scheduling someone new and talking about "Patrick not being happy about people moving their schedules around" or something. Not good Customer Sevice at all. I left after 10 min of this craziness. read more

I cannot say enough great things about Dane Muccianti at Enterprise Car Rental in Boise! He went above and beyond to help me when I was in a frustrating and unexpected situation with Enterprise Truck Rental. I had reserved a rental car through my Costco membership, only to find out that my reservation had been moved to Enterprise Truck Rental--which, despite sharing the same "Enterprise" name, operates under completely different policies. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, I was met with shockingly poor customer service at the truck rental location. They refused to accept my Chime credit card and Colorado driver's license, despite the fact that I had successfully used them both to rent a truck a couple of months ago. I found their reasoning about Chime extremely condescending, and their insistence on a utility bill or lease agreement with my Boise address made no sense given my living situation. On top of that, the staff were rude, dismissive, and unwilling to help. When I asked to speak with their underwriting manager, they refused and questioned what difference it would make. To this day, I have no idea why their policies are so inconsistent, and the entire interaction left me livid. Thankfully, I called Dane at Enterprise Car Rental, and that made all the difference. Unlike the truck rental staff, Dane was kind, professional, and just as confused as I was about the whole situation. But instead of making excuses, he took immediate action. He tracked down a truck at another Enterprise location, ensured it would be transferred to where I originally made my reservation, and worked with me on compensation for the massive inconvenience I had experienced. Dane's outstanding customer service, problem-solving skills, and genuine willingness to help completely turned my experience around. If you ever need a rental car in Boise, go to Enterprise Car Rental and ask for Dane. He is a true asset to the company, and I can't thank him enough for making sure I was still able to leave for my trip to Colorado. Thank you, Dane! Quick and efficient checkout and return. Car performed well. I had a relatively new sedan about 25k miles. They will drop you off back at your hotel if you ask. Staff were friendly and professional. Double check the address here because Google maps will weirdly send you to another part of Fairview Ave. This location is near 27th Street on the north side of the river. Might save you money to rent from here instead of the airport location. Cab ride from airport to downtown is about $15 one way (as of 2023) so factor that in. read more

So my mom is on Social Security she has a prepaid Social Security card. She flew into Boise Idaho to help my daughter out that has a newborn baby and is having surgery. Boise Idaho budget Rent-A-Car is telling me there's nothing they can do because she doesn't have a major credit card and will not take mine over the phone. so they're going to leave an elderly lady stranded. Never would I ever have no compassion and say there's nothing we can do instead of trying my hardest and get it upper authority involved to try to get an elderly lady to her destinations. read more

We booked a car for our trip and it ended up not being available. We still had a vehicle to accommodate for our trip. The customer service was great and it was very easy to pick up and drop off. Definitely made this process a good one, I've heard horror stories from others who rent cars but the guys who were there last Saturday made it super easy. The location was easy to find, we decided to walk there from downtown. There were a few people in the waiting area but they made it easy and quick. When I got to there lot, it only took less than five minutes to get on the road. My SUV was pretty much brand new and it was a pleasure driving it. Absolutely most unprofessional enterprise store I have ever set a foot in and I have rented from many. General manager approach to my rental was unacceptable! As a long time local and out of state customer I understand the rules about renting a vehicle. Telling me that he doesn't care about my past experiences just proved how much he cared about my business. This Boise location will never have my business as long as they have him manage it. His verbal abuse and behavior does not belong in public place a specially managing others. I contacted the so call regional manager and he was the same. It felt like talking to a wall ! I don't understand what is happening to Idaho, this has never happened before. So many good people used to work here at this location but we loose them because this same companies are forgetting the importance of relationship build by this employees. I used to rent even when I didn't need it really that bed. At one point I rented for 6 months. My kid is a professional athlete and had to be in Utah every week for a few days so we just commuted. Reserved a car at Boise, ID recently with the intent to drive it to Spokane WA. When I was getting the car, the counter attendant pressured me to take the supplemental insurance, at first not even giving me the option to decline. Once I declined, he went on to tell me that regardless of fault if I were the accident, I would be responsible for paying my deductible to Enterprise. I got the car and continued on my trip. I rented the car in Boise and drove it to Spokane during winter weather. The tires were inadequate for doing so. When I arrived in Spokane, I decided to return the car as I felt driving it was unsafe. I got stuck twice, just accelerating from stop signs, with very little snow on the road. There was no traction at all. I returned the car to the Spokane Airport. I tried to make arrangements to do so at the Enterprise location in Coeur d' Alene, but was told I had to return it to an airport since I rented from an airport. When I arrived at the Spokane Airport, I told the attendant that I was returning the car early due to what I perceived as dangerous handling due to a poor tire choice for winter conditions. The attendant told me that The Chevrolet Equinox was well known for great winter driving. I told him that this was not the case due to the lack of snow tires. He laughed and said that he gets stuck in his Dodge Durango in the snow, and intimated that it was not the car, but the driver. His attitude certainly left no doubt that he was a miserable employee. I have driven in snow and winter conditions my entire life. I handed over the car and left. I had filled the gas tank in Spokane, just prior to driving to the airport, about 5 miles. I did not top it off prior to dropping it off. When I reviewed the receipt later, the attendant had charged me for two gallons of gas, of course at a cost 30% more than I had just paid. I guess full wasn't full enough. I have used Enterprise for many years, but will not do so again. I have since cancelled a rental reservation for a future trip, and made a reservation with another car rental company. read more

I rented a cargo van for a week for a long-distance more at Enterprise and had THE best experience when it comes to ANY service provider. Everything was terrific: -- Renting the cargo van was quick and easy. The person helping me knew exactly what he was doing. He was super polite, efficient, and clear. AND he cared! I actually received a clean van! (unlike the crap I had to drive at U-Haul which was smeared with mud, including the headlights and mirrors. Had to clean all that up before I could drive it.) And it was all ready and waiting for me when I arrived to pick it up. -- Besides everything going quickly and easily (no horrid lines like at U-Haul, not to mention horrid people), Enterprise did not take a million dollars up front. Incredible. -- The cargo van was awesome!! It had great room. It had lots and lots of power (you could accelerate going uphill). It had a great ride. I drove it for 10 hours at a stretch and did not get tired. Sadly it was better than my Toyota in that respect. -- And if that wasn't enough, their rates beat everybody else's (and I called around), by far. Others weren't even in the running. I was super stressed doing a long-distance move myself and I can't tell the difference it made to have everything with Enterprise go so easily, quickly and in a friendly fashion. Really grateful. Going forward, unless they change in some nasty way, Enterprise will be the only place I will rent vehicles. Thank you, Enterprise!! read more

I wish there was an option to leave zero stars because this was the worst experience in customer service I've ever had. When we picked up the car, we were told that the optional 24.95 per/day insurance was mandatory so, in a rush, we added as we were told there were no other options. I had a question about this extra insurance so I called the enterprise customer care line. They told me that we should have been told about the other options and that the 24.95 was the most expensive one and it was completely optional. The manager Rob didn't return any of my calls and the assistant manager Tyler hung up on me when I ask him about conning us into signing up for this "mandatory" insurance. We ended up being stuck with the charges and having the worst shady customer service nightmare possible. Do not rent from enterprise and they will lie to make sure their paychecks are fat! read more

I had an absolute horrible experience. The lady I dealt with Tabitha, was so rude to me and made me feel like I was a peasant compared to her. I was thorough looking over the damage to the vehicle I was receiving because I was getting this vehicle because of an accident I was in. After my own vehicle being ruined I didn't want to deal with being accused for any damages I didn't do. She scoffed at me numerous times and made continuous rude remarks about the things I was pointing out. She tried to rush me through the process and I almost left. If I hadn't a need to get a rental sooner that later, I would've taken my business elsewhere. The truck I was put into was dirty and smelled like cigarette smoke. I won't be using them again, and I encourage people who don't want to be treated as such to not use them as well. Also, Rob, the branch manager, contacted me to discuss what happened, then never returned the phone call. Horrible customer service! read more

So glad I came here to rent the large SUV my daughter and I got to drive from here to CA. Originally we were getting a minivan but we got the Tahoe instead. It only had 4500 miles on it. Since it was not the car we originally reserved they also told me we only need to fill the gas tank halfway at return. It was amazing. The service I got was great too. Once I got to CA the Montrose location they tried to charge me $30 extra for changing the location of the drop off from Glendale to Montrose (disappointed in this location). I called the Boise, ID location and they waived the fee for me. I am so grateful they did that. read more

Wow talk about great service. Phuong Le at pickup and Rob Dillon at return of my rental both floored me separately. They both went above and beyond 2 get me the right vehicle with a smile on their face and alleviate any concerns and questions I had. Phuong adjusted things to get me the exact car I needed and even gave me a rubber band off of her water bottle that I needed. Small things but really showed her dedication to service. Rob Dillon heard that I had to make it to another town after I drop off the rental and without even being solicited help me out with transportation which totally took a huge amount of stress off of me for my next connection and I never expected that either. I'm totally floored by the level of service and they really need to be appreciated for that. read more

We rent cars quite often and have decided to stick with Enterprise due to quality of cars and service. We were disappointed this last time due to a full service fee they charged us for $41.00. This was the gas fee. My husband brought the car back because it was recommended by the female staff. It would have cost us maybe $7 to fill the car up and they charged us $41.00. Not very happy with that fee and fill we were ripped off a bit. Might look into finding a new rental car company. We expect more out of Enterprise. read more

I have rented from this Enterprise location about 6 times over the last couple of years. I have always had a good experience but my last one was exceptional. I had to put my car in the shop on my day off so I needed a car to run around town and do errands. The agent who made my reservation was extremely helpful and friendly. She was very professional. Because they already had my information on file, I decided to go with them despite the fact that they were not the least expensive at the time. What really made it worth it for me however is that reservation agent said she could have someone pick me up at the shop when I dropped off my car which saved me the Uber fee I would have had to pay. What a great deal. By saving that fare, now I did get the best deal on a rental at the time. Driving to the repair shop that morning I wondered how long I would have to wait for the Enterprise person to pick me up but was pleasantly surprised when Arthur, the driver from Enterprise was already there waiting for me! He promptly got me to the car and drove me to the rental office. Arthur was perfectly suited for this job; retired Air Force, very friendly and engaging and a very good, safe driver as the roads were pretty bad due to the recent storms. Once at the Enterprise office I was greeted by everyone making me feel welcome. It was if they were all just waiting just for me. There was a new guy being trained who helped me under the direction of his expert trainer. The new hire did a suburb job as did his trainer because it was a seamless hand off and I was driving the rental within a few minutes after arriving. Wow!! When I returned the same thing happened as I was in and out in a couple of minutes. Everyone was terrific. My little transaction this time surely wasn't real profitable for the company but I have to say that I will always rent with them exclusively from here on out . Besides that, I am in the automobile business and refer clients frequently to rental agencies. I will send all of them to Enterprise as well. The lesson I took away that day, which I already knew, is that sometimes the least expensive is not always the best deal. This was a good reminder.
