The customer service, professionalism, and friendliness exhibited by Elmore Shoto, a branch manager of the Cedar Hill Enterprise location, was second to none. I needed a rental on a very notice and Mr Shoto extended every courtesy possible to accommodate my rental request. He understands that friendliness, customer service, and consideration can lay the groundwork to resolve almost any issue with regard challenges in the rental process. He should be commended for his professionalism and understanding of professional courtesy and treating customers as individuals as opposed to just invoices. I happen to be a Hertz Platinum Member as well but will gladly do business with Mr Shoto on any given occasion for rentals not attached with business travel via the airport. read more

This review is pertaining to a productive phone discussion I had with DeShawn. We had an immensely stressful trip from Las Vegas, NV to The Colony, TX. Long story short, we had to extend our stay in The Colony, last-minute for our son's post-op recovery. We had to book a new Airbnb, cancel our return flight at Midlothian airport, then return the original rental car to Avis, and switch to Enterprise for a new rental car, since the NPO found us a new rental car from Enterprise. Otherwise, I would just extend the rental car with Avis. Our Airbnb is 50-minutes one way drive to Cedar Hill, which sounds ridiculous to rent a car that far from where we were staying. Well, the reason is that we had a charity private jet set up for us to depart from Midlothian. The volunteer pilot was nice enough have offered to pick us up from Midlothian (TX) airport then drop us off in Henderson, NV. After canceling the Midlothian flight, we only had one day to rearrange the logistics, which included me asking my employer to extend my emergency leave. As well as needing to book mobile urgent care to come to our Airbnb to write prescription medication for my husband and I. Again, we weren't expecting to extend our trip from 6 days to 18 days!! Hence, neither one of us packed enough Rx meds. There were so many other stressful variables during our medical trip that I don't have the time asset to compose on this review. We found another volunteer pilot to pick us up in McKinney, which is only 18-miles from our Airbnb. I had to call Cedar Hill & explain our reason for needing to return the car at the McKinney Enterprise location. DeShawn at the CH location was kind, patient, and sympathetic to my situation. He & his manager waived the one-way fee. We are very grateful for his outstanding customer support. read more

Got a rental car for 3 days through insurance. We had a drop off time of 4pm on a Saturday - they are only open until 1pm on Saturdays. No one told us ANYTHING about being able to "drop off the car" while they're closed, so we show up the next morning, bright and early to drop it off and they charged us for an extra day. We told the assistant manager that they were closed and she said we "should've used the drop box", even after we told her multiple times that no one informed us of this!? We said we would have dropped off the car the night before if we had known but no one told us that was an option and she was just like "well, oh well you can call your insurance company, you could've dropped it last night". The place was closed!? Locked and gated!? She was very very dismissive and unhelpful. Paid an extra day for the car for NO REASON, just because THEY did not inform us correctly. We would have used a dropbox if there were any instructions given for it. Absolute BS - do not recommend this location. read more

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION! Oh goodness! Where do I start?! This location seems to have only one trained staffer on hand which creates long lines. Actually, I wouldn't call it a line, more like a large cluster of people and YOU are responsible of keeping track of your place in line. Second, every customer at this location has apparently been in a car accident which seems require more work for the SOLE front desk staffer. Please stay far away from this location ! Fraudulent claims towards your insurance!! If you have to take out a vehicle with them please inspect it and take pictures of the tiniest dents. I am talking about crouch down and inspect it because this is what happened to me in June. An employee by the name of Amanda V. Also known as Maddy will inspect the vehicle upon returning by crouching down and will blame any dents on you. Thankfully I was able to dispute the claim . The claim was that the rental had hail damage while I was in possession of the vehicle however not true the hail that came down was the day before I had the rental. I had a terrible experience at the Cedar Hill location. I had called in advance to confirm my rental was ready for pickup. I dropped my car off to the auto shop, Enterprise came and picked me up. When I arrived they did not have any cars available and ask that I wait a few hours for inventory to come in. Be sure that they document every single thing that you point out on your rental agreement even if they say "that's already documented on the history of the car" don't listen to them hold them accountable to the damages that you point out otherwise they will blame it on you when you return the car. They are just trying to pocket extra money to cover the damages of the cars that were damaged by hail on their lot, also if you're ever on a waiting list you'll be waiting forever because they do not call you back you'll just be left stranded without a vehicle. If I'm going to be held accountable to the rental agreement where nothing was documented that I pointed out including the chipped paint that was on the vehicle, then I will be holding this them accountable to the "accident report" that does not reflect the damages on the car. read more

Good luck getting anyone on the phone at the Cedar Hill Texas location. I have rented from Enterprise from all over the country but never again.I have rented cars from them for over 30 years. Never again. Instead of contacting me directly for some reason they contact my sister. I have repeatedly asked them to stop to no avail. They provided me what with a rental that gives warnings that the vehicle needs an change oil and key fob battery needs replacing. You didn't notice any of this when you drove the car to the front door for me to pick up. My insurance company recommended this rental company after my car needed some repairs. The body shop was incredible but Enterprise was not! If you want want family members harassed rent from this company and get a poorly maintained vehicle call them today. read more

I rent all the time in Washington. The people were nice but gave me a car that smelled like cigarettes. It was so gross I had to get air freshener just to drive. It also had stains all over really disappointing. On top of that I go to return the car and was told I have to call 24 hrs ahead of time to schedule a ride back... so I do that and was told sorry we only go out 5 miles. So I had to keep the car for additional day . Over all my experience here just sucked. read more

I have a corporate reservation for today and we do business with Enterprise regularly. I was very disappointed after speaking with Jasmine this morning. I called to request to be picked up because I don't have transportation to the Enterprise office and Jasmine informed me after I provided her my address that they cannot pick me up because they only pick up customers in Cedar Hill and Midlothian. I have never known Enterprise to deny a customer, especially a loyal corporate customer pick up service. I am literally 8 miles away, a 13 minute drive. Ironically I mapped the distance between a Midlothian landmark and a Cedar Hill landmark and I am closer to Enterprise than what I would be if I were in one of the only two cities that Jasmine says they pick up in. I would give a -* (negative star) if it existed. I spoke with a rep on July 3rd at Enterprise and got a reservation with the Cedar Hill branch to pick up my vehicle on July 6 at 9:15 am, when I arrived with my reservation number, the branch manager, told me that my pick up location was at another Enterprise, however that location was closed. Why would I make a reservation to a location that was closed? I went to another location that he told me to go to on Camp Wisdom, there were no vehicles available (I am wasting gas and time now). I have to get to work Monday. This is ridiculous and I am totally disappointed in Enterprise. I am very upset right now and still without a vehicle. I am getting ready to head back to the Cedar Hill location. I just returned to the Cedar Hill location and the manager said he looked at the reservation incorrectly. I showed him my Priority Pass email that I received stating where to pick up my vehicle and what date and time. I even told him the phone number that was on my reservation was to his location, and he stated, "That's not even our number", I said yes it is and I called it right in his face from my cell phone and he picked it up and said, "Is this you?" He said, oh I apologize I looked at it incorrectly, but we still don't have any vehicles. He no longer had any vehicles and told me to try back later. I just left furious, because they wanted to charge me overage fees. I told Victor, the asst manager that my insurance covered me up to $1500 for 30 days. I had only used a little over $1000 and I returned it on day 30. When I asked him what went wrong he didn't acknowledge. He simply asked if I wanted to put the balance on my credit card. I tried again, but there was no willingness to assist. That's when I asked for his business card, he didn't have one. I asked for his manager, she was not available. I asked for her phone number, he said I needed to call the office at a later time. At that point he stopped answering questions and stared me down like if we were at a boxing press conference. This guy is immature, he lacks managerial skills and a customer service focus. Do me a favor and spend an extra 5 minutes driving to a different location. This place is awful!!! I rented from Enterprise on August 15-19. This will be my last time EVER renting from this location. I will make a point to get a car from the airport every time after this experience. Jasmine (assistant manager) stated they couldn't pick me up. She said they were short staff and then tried to say it a courtesy NOT a guaranteed. So, I get a call from a CSR on 8/16 asking how was my experience. I told her this was the worse experience with getting a car from Enterprise and that I will not be renting with them again. I was told to bring the car back empty by her due to the bad experience but, instead it had 1/2 of a tank. The manager, Victor who checked me out NEVER asked me how was the rental, nor did he identify himself as the mgr. When he billed my card on file I asked why was it $152.63 he explained afterward he billed me. The rental should have been $135.48 Eventhough, I told him when we checked the car together "I was told not to fuel the car". He said the CSR didn't have the authorization to tell me that...that's not my problem. Kudos to you Ms. D for wanting satisfied customers! With that said Victor keep the $17.15 for lunch as I just said to Jasmine it won't break me. I have been a valuable customer to AMERICAN EXPRESS for 20+ years. I have truly experienced better service at other Enterprise locations. The Cedar Hill station could use a course in customer service. Acknowledgement of customers could be better. Servicing the vehicles renting should be a done before and after each rental. My rental car had a dirty windshield on inside, the rear view mirror fell on my knee twice while driving, That is dangerous! Tires pressure was off. I called to let them know I was running late to pick up the vehicle I reserved the night before. She informed me they give customers an hour to be late before they release the car. I looked at the time...4 minutes past the hour. So, how did they know to give my vehicle away so soon? I guess people were hanging around the counter just waiting for me not to show up. Well, this experience was quite poor. When going to rent a car, it by my choice because some lady decided to hit my car and a file was claimed with her insurance. I am required to have a deposit for the car. That doesn't make since to me if the insurance is covering it. But fine, this is their policy... However, now after having my card for the last 10min then sliding my debit card and charging it for the deposit they won't take it because it's not a major credit card. So I ask for a receipt just to verify that it was voided. What logical person doesn't want written proof after being charged? Well Tory proceeds to get an attitude with me and just continue to go back and forth with me without actually attempting to solve the issues. I agree with the previous post made by LaTyshua H. If I could give Cedar Hill Enterprise no star, I would. They were very rude and unprofessional. We had traveled to CH from Austin, Tx for a family reunion. Had major mechanical problems with our vehicle traveling there and needed a rental to get home. Call Enterprise, the agent made the reservation, gave a confirmation # and told us we could pick up the vehicle anytime before 4p.m. So we were set, right? WRONG! Arrived with confirmation in hand only to be told there were NO vehicles available. A young woman with an attitude was "assisting" us. We asked how can that be. We have a confirmation#. Didn't get answer, wouldn't try and help us secure a vehicle and another location. Did offer the phone # for me to call, but that's no help. I can google the # myself. She starred us down for a few minutes and finally walked away. There were to men there also working and they were useless too. Didn't try and help or say anything. We knew the nearest location was DeSoto, so we headed out knowing we only had 15 min to get there. We called the 1-800# made another reservation. Ask if the could call DeSoto and let them know we were on the way. Of course not, but they would send a message to the Manager (never happened). You would think they would do everything they could since the screwed up the reservation. We made it to DeSoto. They were closed, but be were able to get in. The drama continued, but we were able to get a car and to get back to Lockhart. We missed 80% of the family reunion driving to different locations and waiting. Had more issues with billing, but the Lockhart location was very helpful with clearing it up. read more

Steve the assistant manager is HORRIBLE!! He is rude, unprofessional and has horrible customer service. I inquired about a security deposit that I never was required to do prior and I was using my credit card. He immediately went into defense and his response was if I didn't they were breaking the rules. I have rented numerous cars from Enterprise but only at this location have I had an issue. If this is something new they are implementing it would have been nice if he explained it professionally and with a positive attitude. The car was dirty, smells like cigarette smoke and now the tires light is reflecting 2 tires need air. He also canceled a couples rental, kick them out and threatens to call the police.
