I didn't get an option to select which car I wanted 2. When I got my car, it was dirty and not at all cleaned 3. Had to wait a long time due to the place being understaffed 4. For some strange reason takes about 20-30 minutes to get a connection with Lyft in order to pick you up or take you back to your car In fact, the only reason I didn't give this place a 1 star is because I thought that the staff there were cool personalities once you got a chance to talk to them. It's possible that all these issues could have been avoided if they had 1-2 more people working but I understand that it's a business.

I was in line for over an hour to be seen. I rented an intermediate SUV, but they only had large pickup trucks. I took the offer. The check- in staff was professional and friendly given the circumstances. They provided a fuel credit due to the inconvenience. The pickup was too big for my needs. Difficult to maneuver. Many of the features that should be available on a large vehicle were not equipped or programmed, especially the parking technology. My car lacked wrap- around cameras to assist parking, proximity warnings when close to objects, or back up warnings. The back- up camera was imprecise. I had no functional trunk. My drop-off experience was poor. It was Easy to drop off. One agent was friendly and helpful. The other public- facing agents were uncaring or rude. My agent barely spoke to me and didn't ask basic questions about returning the vehicle. Offered no assistance. I also had bad experience with staff in preferred member area. Five minutes after returning car, I realized that I had missing items. The friendly return agent directed me to the desk agent. The desk agent was openly dismissive and rude to me . Suggested that that my reason for checking the car was not important. She was dismissive and didn't want to offer help. This is not an exaggeration. This experience makes me less likely to rent a vehicle from this vendor at that location.

This is what Alamo should have done, but Hertz came through. The employee Alexis stayed to 2:15am assisting us, and it was a smooth process. So props to her and Alamo helping at 2:15am, preventing some late stranded passengers like us.

The guy at the counter had no empathy, sense of urgency or fux to give. It's one of those moments where you just exercise some patience because you still need a car. After waiting an hour, I was asked if a Mustang would be ok. At this point, I really want to break up with them so I tell them guy yes. Get to the adjacent garage and began to take note of the existing damage on the car. Nothing alarming but nothing I wanted attributed to me. The car hadn't been cleaned out, off and the windshield was really cloudy. No big deal but the windshield washing fluid was empty. So back inside I go to talk to Mr. Unbothered. The representative who tracks incoming cars, took it and washed it, filled the washer fluid and tried to make me feel a little better about the situation. When I was waiting, I asked the agent how I'd be compensated for my inconvenience. He shrugged his shoulders and said the car I was going to be put in was an upgrade. I'm not a Mustang person so this rang hollow. I then insisted that he adjust the rental time to only reflect the time I had the car. He agreed and went back to doing next to nothing. I had no issues returning the vehicle. As a rule, I take a picture of the fuel and miles to be able to confirm that I did refuel it and no surprise charges occur. Keep in mind when you are arriving or returning to allow time to take the shuttle back to the terminal. Customer service is minimal here. No one answers the phone when you call and the in person experience leave something to be desired. I do plan to use other car rental agencies in the future as I was not happy with the experience at this location.

We had reserved a car 2 months prior fir our trip and also prepaid, and they didn't have any cars. They stated they only had full size trucks and we were going to downtown chicago. So they told us to wait until some type of vehicle gets returned @ 7pm at night on a Friday. Well we knew that wasn't going to happen. So after at least and 1hour we went over to the enterprise counter and spoke with Antonio. He said he could take care of us but we would have to make a reservation online. So we went to our phones made one for a simple standard size car and they took care of the rest. After waiting on budget for about 2 hours we were upstairs in a couple of minutes and picking out our car. Upstairs we told Bruno we were wondering if he had any other SUV type vehicles and he pointed over at the Chevrolet Trax. I said if it's newer I'd take it. I then asked what the up charge would be and he said there wouldn't be one he just wanted us happy. We sure were the Trax is small and rode a little rough, but was awesome on gas, and fit anywhere in the city. On the return of the vehicle the gentleman took a quick look at and in no time we were heading to the bus for the terminal. What a painless process. I don't think I will rent from anyone else when I come to Chicago ever again. Thank you Enterprise for saving our trip!!

We called twice and clearly explained that he had a temporary driver's license issued by the Secretary of State as well as his passport. Both times, we were specifically assured that there would be no issue renting the vehicle with those documents. He even called again the day before the rental to confirm, and once again was told that everything would be fine. We needed this rental because we were traveling for his grandmother's funeral. After making multiple calls and doing everything we could to verify the requirements ahead of time, we arrived at the rental location only to be told that he needed his physical driver's license and that they could not rent the car to him. The entire situation was incredibly upsetting and frustrating. My boyfriend is already dealing with the loss of his grandmother and was understandably inconsolable after being told, at the last minute, that the rental we had repeatedly confirmed was not actually available to us. On top of everything, we are now out nearly $75 in Uber expenses just getting to and from the rental location for a vehicle we were assured multiple times we would be able to rent. If Enterprise had simply given us the correct information when we called, we could have made other arrangements and avoided this entire situation and the additional expense. Very disappointed with the lack of communication and the way this situation was handled. 1 star.

When I got here, everyone from pick up to return was also very nice. Later, Illinois tolls messed something up, but they were closed the day after Christmas when I found the mistake, as was Alamo custoner service....but this location was open, so I called and got a super-friendly and helpful person that helped me out.
