Rental vehicle small SUV like RX 350 or similar was ordered for me via Nationwide insurance due to accident. It was to be delivered to the McCombe repaire shop on 7/6/26 8:30AM. 7/2/26 we drove to the Enterprise location on 396 E Main St specifically to make sure it reserved and I get a type of vehicle I want. I was assured that they reserved small Chevy or Ford SUV for me and will deliver it as scheduled. However what they delivered in 7/6 was a huge track WW Atlas. I explained I am not comfortable driving it and want what I requested. Salesperson who brought it texted Enterprise manager and said he will get the right one for me ASAP. We were waiting there for about 30 minutes, no one responded. So he gave us a ride home and said he will contact me shortly today and fix the problem. Waited all day, did not get a phone call or text, no communication at all. Let alone no rental. But my car was left for repairs and I needed that rental. So next morning drove back to that Enterprise location. There were several small SUVs available on their parking lot, so I got one. While there we seen that salesperson there, he seen us too, but pretended he didn't know me. No communication or apology in any form from Enterprise ever. We reserved a car, they didn't have it when we arrived, they made us wait 90 minutes for the "last" car to come out of their shop. It wasn't as nice as the car we reserved, and then it broke down on us. When we called the shop to ask them what to do, they were closed, so we had to pay to get it towed. I think 2.5 stars is generous for this location. Did not have requested car. Did have a minivan with 60000 miles, dirty inside and out with half a tank of gas. I had to take it. They said they would call when something else came in. They never followed up. The only reason I went to this place was because my insurance company. The "Surprise" rent option is a SCAM! On their website they have ecnomy cars and compact cars in two separate categories and even have two different cars posted which are two different sizes but that's misleading! They are really the same class! So you rent the surprise option you need to expect the smallest.piece of junk they have on the entire and NO working antenna which I have pictures of where it should have been! "Lisa" the owner has yet to reach out to me, I emailed the requested information the same day. I've talked to someone from the corporate chat once that assured me she was escalating me, and we spoke to Tanner, the manager at this site, but he was pretty open with his lack of concern about the situation or willingness to do anything. He did say they closed on Sundays a couple months ago, but doesn't know why they haven't updated that information ANYWHERE. So don't be fooled by their quickness to respond to these posts, they don't actually care. read more

I decided to rent from this Enterprise because it is closer in distance to my place, than their Brice Road store - some pluses and minuses, based on this decision. This Enterprise is well=used. I was told, unfortunately while returning the car, that this location is heavily used by businesses, since it is so close to the downtown. Thus, since companies tend to consolidate trips, and employees, they loan out "bigger" cars, than what I'm use to. I was given a 2009 Chevy Impala, for my trip to Baltimore, MD. I'm glad I had 2 friends accompanying me, as I needed the extra sets of eyes, since this size car was awkward. I showed up at the store right on time, to meet the pick-up time. I was receiving this car while mine was in the shop, from a wreck. So, I only had to worry about the gas. The gentleman who helped me was polite and friendly. The paying insurance company had not reported my claim, as told, so the man had to make a few calls to get the ok. Unfortunately, this set me back about 25 minutes, but it was a tolerable, unexpected dilemma. Upon returning this car, the guy did a quick checkover for dents/scratches, none, and off I went. I rented a car from this location recently for a short trip to Chicago. I registered online, they called a few days prior to confirm that I'd still be picking up and what kind of car I was comfortable driving. When I picked up the car, the process was VERY EASY! It took maybe 10 minutes total to do a pick up at 9am. The car wasn't the cleanest, but I didn't notice until I was already on my way to pick up my passenger. The ceiling of the car looked stained, and some dust around the dashboard- but it wasn't so bad that I couldn't drive the car. When returning, the staff member at the desk was apologetic about the dirt and took some money off of my final costs to make up for it. I'd definitely rent from here again and just do a better sweep of the car before I drove off the lot! read more

They double charged our debit card, refunded it, then put another charge for something we didn't even get, then charged us for the rental, which was to be billed to our insurance. That insurance was on the original receipt and the total due was $0. They still charged us over $500. They are refunding it, but it has been over 2 hours on the phone and a trip back to have the first $88 removed. We will never do business with Enterprise again. read more

Either their porters don't have the right resources to actually clean interior or they don't care as I've never gotten a car from here that was anywhere close to clean. I rented a vehicle from this location. They put me in a vehicle that obviously had not been serviced in some time. I took this vehicle from Columbus, Ohio to Nashville, Tennessee. During the trip the service light came on and remained on. Then to top that off, the front end needed aligning and the brakes needed to be done. I informed these people of the problems. It would have been nice if they had offered a discount. They didn't. They even charged me an extra hour. I would advise anyone to reconsider renting from this location. It may be wise to avoid enterprise period. I was lucky I made it back safely. They get a big 0 from me. I must say the problem was not so much the people. It's the vehicles. Safety first. read more

NEVER EVER COME TO THIS LOCATION!! Are negative stars an option? I have flown world wide and never been frustrated more by a car rental company. When I came to pick up the car they had the wrong car. We specifically called ahead to make sure we would have a 4 Wheel Drive, got there and they had a 2 wheel drive for our pick up. We had to drive to another enterprise in another town to pick up a Ford Excusion which was sizes bigger than what was ordered and a gas hog making our trip twice as expensive. No compensation for their mess up. The employees have no work ethic. When we picked up the car there were 4 employees while 3 employees were on personal cellphone calls or just standing around "on break" so we waited for until the only person actually doing work could get to us. When we came back to drop the car off the employees had no idea and just looked at us like deers in head lights. AGAIN NEVER EVER COME TO THIS LOCATION. read more

A special shout-out to Phillip, Whitney and Ryan. This past week I called ahead to let them know I'd be on a VERY tight timeline ... that I'd need to get in and out just as quickly as possible. They were clearly expecting me when I arrived; I was on the road in less than 5 minutes from when I arrived. And this wasn't the first time I've had exceptional service. This is the enterprise location I frequently use because it is in close proximity to Greyhound, downtown Columbus. The agents are always helpful and friendly and accommodating when I need a ride to and from the Greyhound station. On my recent trip, the agent, Benny, ,was verry helpful in showing me how to use all the media featuresl and he actually set up the. Bluetooth for me so that I could stream music from my phone. This is a big deal for me because I drive a 97 Nissan and don't have the time or patience to bother with all that when I am using a rental. I live downtown and rent from this location often. They are very accommodating to your schedule. If you don't have someone to drop you off to rent the car, they come and pick you up :-) They are always on time and dependable. The only policy that has recently changed, and they should make better known, is that if you have a debit card that you use as a credit card, you now have to provide a copy of a utility bill at the time of renting or they won't rent to you. I made my reservation with one location for a pick-up for a certain time. The confirmation came for a different time. When I called to check on the error found out that they moved my reservation to another location closer to my pickup. They were 10 mins late and could not locate me. When I got to the office the computers were down and then was informed they were holding additional 120.00 on my card. They gave me an upgrade and allowed me to bring the car back on empty for my inconvenience because they put me 40 mins behind schedule. They had to key in my credit card due to the computer system Issues after I left, so I had no idea exactly what was going on my card. The location I was returning the car to had a drop box and from the beginning they kept informing me that if I return it after hours to use the drop box. When I informed them that I was going to be 20 mins late they said no problem drop keys in the drop box never mention once mentioned they would charge me a full day rental. When I called the next day they billed me for an extra day. The young lady was nice enough to take it off because I was not informed that I was going to be charged. If I had known that I would have kept the car the extra day...... They also charged me for a 3.00 a day insurance fee I did not agree too. Enterprise start my trip with confusion and it ended with confusion. read more
