Absolute worst experience with Hans. I rented a car online, went to pick up the vehicle, and was told they will not have any vehicles for 5 more days. When I told him that my daughter just dropped me off and I do not have a ride back to work he just laughed. Offered no solution. I went outside to make a phone call to see if someone could come and get me and I went back inside to ask Hans a question. He was seated in a chair with one leg crossed, leaned back, like he was on vacation. Come to find out they have a driver that could take me back to work in 30 minutes but that was never offered. Very poor customer service and lack of caring. Will seek an alternative in the future. There has to be a better solution. read more

Personal Service was great although I had a scheduled appointment at 4pm and waited 2 hours to get my rental car. It was dark when I got the car and the lot had very little lighting. The next morning I could really see how nasty this car's interior was.It was filthy on the inside,with spots even on the headliner,fingerprints on the dash surfaces.Dirt in the cracks around the console and the shifter.It also reeked of Marijuana and "Black Ice"little tree air fresheners.Car done great,it was just filthy inside. read more

My friend rented a van for his bachelor's trip and knew they was shitty people when they said if the gas needle is higher than what it was when we left then they'd keep the deposit. They end up charging him $700 for taking it to a different enterprise than the 1 he picked it up from after he called and asked if it was ok and they said yea. We reserved a car online only to get to the store, wait 20 min and then be told that they can't confirm same day reservations and that they most likely wouldn't have anything available. They had a lobby full of people and only two people working. Do not recommend renting a car here. read more

They do not pick you up. Plan on not getting your rented car right away. They run out of cars even though you had rented one to be picked up at a certain time. Friendly people. Reservations over rent and stores under stocked. Wanted you to wait for returns. Unknown time you will get your rental. Plus a $300 deposit on top of rental cost. Wow. read more

Update: They resolved the issue I had with the vehicle and made up the misunderstanding at the initial check in. I felt what they gave back was more than fair and I appreciate that. Only reason I can't give 5 stars is they need to do more training for the cleaning staff. Overall I'd give them another chance; I'd just have to make sure everything is in order way before pick up date. read more

This place has the worst customer service imaginable. I called four times and left a message regarding the amount charged to my credit card. Finally, after receiving a copy of the invoice via email, I called back because there was an extra day on the invoice. I was left on hold three separate times once for 7 minutes, once for 5 minutes and once for 8 minutes before someone finally picked up the phone and helped me with the issue. Of course, they blamed the extra charges on the fact that the body shop where the car was dropped off did not notify them in time. Overall, the experience was a bad one. Car rentals are fairly uniform in price in this area so if you're not bringing exceptional customer service, you're not bringing anything at all. This is my second poor experience with and Enterprise location in this area. I'm done. read more

So after my code from my brand new driveway company was rejected for the clerks personal reason I transferred literally my last 300 bucks (hence the new driveaway company) to my personal card only to be rejected because it was a reloadable card. So I had to transfer it back to mine and the wife's split account only to be rejected again because the reservation wasn't in her name. So after they bend the rules again......oh so conveniently and timely to their own benefit I had to transfer it back to my wife's personal account so they could remake the whole reservation in her name. When I used my code from my own company they gave me they decided not to accept it for me at that time because I wasn't the right color or the right sex or nationality. Not sure which one but either way enterprise has put me in a predicament that it will take me weeks to get out of. Maybe I deserved it idk. We will see I guess. I am completely and utterly disappointed with Enterprise Rent-A-Car. I had rented a Suburban, weeks in advance, to be available on December 26th. I kept calling up until the day of rental to ensure that I had the correct car available and everyone told me that the car was available for the correct day and time. When I went to pick it up, they did not have the car we had ordered. They had never heard of our rental. They were surprised we were even at the Enterprise Rent-A-Car on Irby. Eventually, they located the correct rental, but it was mysteriously transferred to another Enterprise Rent A Car in another part of the city that was already closed. They told us we could get another car that would be similar to the Suburban at the Airport. After driving to the Airport Enterprise Rent-A-Car, the person in charge told us that they had no such car available. That the Enterprise Rent A Car off of Irby had lied to us. So I called the Enterprise phone line. After two people had kept me on hold for hours, telling me that they could probably get me a Suburban if I was patient, I was transferred back to the main phone line cue. I finally called to talk to a manager in charge of the phone line and they told me that I was wasting my time and that no one could help me now. And, again, I was transferred back to the main phone line before I could even get a receipt that confirmed I would not be charged for this car rental. Because we did not get the Suburban, we could not take my family (which included 2 elderly parents who needed aid getting in and out of a car as well as a Navy Veteran who also had problems getting in and out of a car) to Disney World, thus disappointing my son who wanted to go to Disney with his Grandpa and Grandma. Because we did not get the car we ordered weeks in advance, my aunt had to cram in our smaller car and this resulted in her nearly collapsing from exhaustion when we finally got to my parents house in Florida. This is piss poor service all around. If someone would've been straight with me weeks ago, letting me know that they could not get me the car (or an equivalent) by the date I asked, I would've been fine going to another rental agency. Instead, I wasted my time on the phone and on wild goose chases, on the day after Christmas, dealing with people who lied to me and who could care less about a potential customer. I used to value the Enterprise name. I had friends who worked there and I always appreciated their brand because of it. I will not make that mistake again. And I will make sure that I tell everyone not to bother with renting a car from Enterprise. read more

I rented a car for two days through my insurance and used enterprise for the first time. My first impression when I called is that the receptionist wasn't very professional. She had a side conversation while I was on the phone with her. Where Enterprise really got me was their offer of $15/day "insurance". Basically I can pay this so if anything were to happen to the car , at fault or not, I will not have to pay for any damages. So my though is "better safe than sorry". Apparently YOUR INSURANCE ALREADY COVERS YOU even through a rental. Save your money and don't get the added "insurance". Two good things about them was that the gentleman introducing me to the car was very friendly. I also liked that enterprise was able to pick up and deliver the rental to my location I was getting my car repaired. However, they were 15-20mins late from the time the car should have been there even after calling them 10mins before the scheduled time. read more

very disappointed in this entire company. My mom and 6 other people were stuck in South Carolina, they were traveling from Florida to Rhode Island and their car broke down. I called to rent a car for them and wanted to pay on my credit card. They refused to take my card over the phone and would not let me pay for the car at a location in Rhode Island. A car could not be rented in a crisis situation because I could not be there at pick up. This is totally unacceptable, when an emergency arises they should have a policy in place to handle it, most cars are rented due to breakdowns, why are they not able to handle a request like this? If a person can prove they are using thier own card, they should be able to rent a car, weather they are at the pickup location or another one of thier chain locations. read more

I called the day before and reserved a car - without leaving a credit card number. The next day the car was there, ready for me to drive one way to Hilton Head. It is a bit difficult to get out of their driveway to go left toward 95, as they are on a busy road.
