I recently had to have some body work done to my vehicle after being in a wreck. Enterprise was able to work directly with the at-fault person's insurance to get me into a large SUV that is comparable to what was being worked on, the same day! The vehicle was clean and well taken care of, and did a great job of getting my family around for the two weeks our work was being done. The customer service agents were kind and prompt. They even thoroughly checked over the vehicle when I turned it in to return a charger to me that I missed while getting my stuff out. The only drawback I could tell was the building. I know this is a fairly new building, but the entire inside smells like mold/mildew. It's a very strong smell and makes me think they have water problems. I kind of feel bad for the employees because of this, but nevertheless, they seemed happy to be working there. Overall, it was a great experience and I'd definitely use them again. But hopefully, I won't have to! read more

Enterprise staff was dismissive when I addressed a charge for the extra insurance. I contacted the company via telephone, email and mail. Was ignored. I kept my communication short and professional too. I suspect there's another reason for what occurred. I wasn't provided the upper management contact information to dispute my complaint. This location is absolutely pathetic. Second vehicle they've rented me in two weeks (insurance rental) that had mechanical problems. They were unable to be reached and did not provide a solution option. It only does this location seem to be incapable of keeping the cars they have in decent running order you are only able to get assistance if you have an issue with one of their poorly maintained vehicles during business hours. Their customer service actually said if I needed a replacement vehicle (for their non-operable one) I needed to submit that request 4-6 hours prior to the branch closing to allow for delivery. So not only do I get the frustration and risk of being stuck in traffic with a car that shut off randomly I need to schedule those issues during business hours as not be left stranded. Hopefully this location will be able to find staff to replace the current staff incapable of quite simply doing their jobs. read more

So I have been waiting on a call back from John Duhe (the area manager) for over 2 weeks!!!! A client rented a car and didnt know if she needed the additional insurance that is offered by Enterprise. When she called me to see if she needed it I told her that she didn't!! She already has full coverage and it is additional profit for the rental company$ at the end of the day. When we called with the adjuster on line Josh, Elijah, and or Iesha let us know that the balance was 1400+- The insurance took care of 900 and they told the client that they would waive half of the charges for the additional insurance. Because she called in to tell them she did not want the insurance. She works and just started her job, they asked that she come down, but she works the hours that they are open and was unable to come back. I am asking to waive the BS charges! They now say that the charge is 2133.00 ?????? WOW I really hope to get a call back from someone that can address this situation. It may change my opinion of the company! The staff sure seemed helpful and kind but when I had an issue with the billing of a car that I had prepaid, somehow NO one was able to help me. I offered to cancel my transaction and rebook it to solve the issue and was assured that was unnecessary. It's a long and complicated story but know that they weren't knowledgeable in their jobs and that the misinformation resulted in my being DOUBLE charged for a vehicle that I rented. I was recently hit while I was parked , State Farm made 2 separate reservations the first reservation was canceled after Macy said she left me a voicemail the day before my reservation was scheduled. Well, my voicemail isn't set up. My fiancé called them upset , I was in the hospital when the phone call I missed was made, extremely ill . I had to reschedule work not once but twice . 1/24 I had another appointment with caliber collision I was told the reservation wasn't made . State Farm had confirmation it was. Great customer service on the phone... at first. I called to reserve a car for today because my car is being taken into the shop, and I need a car for the day. Talked to the CSR, he took all of my information, gave me the price and I was good to go. Just had to find out if a shuttle was available to pick me up. I then got a DIFFERENT guy who picked up and said that there weren't any cars available and that the guy I was talking to didn't know what he was talking about and shouldn't have told me there were cars available to begin with. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!! We recently rented a car from them and the car was stolen out of our driveway. The car was recovered with no damage and we contacted enterprise to let them know and was told to bring it back up so they could swap the car out for another car. When we arrived they ask us to go outside with them and then proceeded to tell us that they were not giving us another car. They were instructed to lie to us to get us to return the car. That is what their corporate office told them to do. What kind of company does business this way? I rent cars from enterprise several times a year. I called one location and reserved a car for same day pickup, I got a confirmation email for my car and times. 1 hour later Enterprise called me and said unfortunately they have to cancel my reservation because they had no cars available....then I called a second location and they said they had midsize sedan and compact cars both available. I chose a compact and AGAIN got my confirmation email for my car and day. So I arrive at Enterprise to pick it up. And they said that they have no vehicles....he told me that the reservation people on the phone can see more inventory than they actually have.....THEN FIX IT!! it's insane that this place can function like this. I rent from here often but the new location is horrible. There is no place to park your car and getting in and out is very hard. Its like a one way street with cars lined up on both sides. The staff is great, there has been allot of turnover but i think that is the enterprise. I have never had a problem with a vehicle and the manager always is attentive to any issues that come up. I asked about the parking issue and they told me "we pick you up" i gave them my address, in Hendersonville and they said "O we dont got that far" I would have given them a five but the parking thing is a issue for many people. read more

Rented a car through the body shop when wife was in an accident. Bodyshop and insurance handled setting up getting car. First vehicle she got was a Hyundai Tucson that was absolutely destroyed on the inside and had a distinct burnt dirt smell to it. The seats were severely stained with god knows what, and the wipers were worn out to the point that they were a safety hazard when it rained. After bringing this to their attention, she was swapped into a very base model Mitsubishi , but at least it was clean. We returned the vehicle once repairs were done on her car, and thought we were done. A week after returning the car, they charged $160+ to our debit card for "additional insurance" that we never authorized. I contacted the branch and they said they didn't WANT to make it right and to dispute with the bank. Provide because it will hurt some performance metric that they are evaluated on. I called customer service who said they would get it refunded, and then get a voice mail from someone stating that the charge was accurate and nothing would be done. DO NOT RENT FROM ENTERPRISE, they WILL fraudulently take funds from your account a week after you turn the vehicle in! read more

First of all I tired to call more than once about my issues, but I was on hold for 46 minutes before finally realizing I was going to be ignored. So here I am to tell my story. I paid a lot of money to rent a nice Ford F-150 to pick up my niece, the shop was busy being Friday before Memorial Day - when the agent walked around the truck with me I pointed out it was really dirty and a big dent in the bumper, but didn't have time to wait for them to wash the vehicle, they were busy I was in hurry to get on the road after being at shop for more then 30 mins to pick up the vehicle (guess slow service is the normal) then I notice stains on the fold down console, then I notice dead bugs on the dash, dust, sticky places where drinks had been spilled, a small cigarette burn in passenger seat, a dog (or something) had chewed on the seat belt buckle, the back drink carrier covered in dust and debris, sticks in bed of truck, trash in bed of truck, then I looked up at oil change sticker and oil change was over due by 3000 miles according to odometer. So Open my email to confirm the number to call the local store and my rental agreement was for a completely different vehicle. My agreement was for a Lincoln Navigator - totally different id numbers, license plate numbers and this whole experience was a mess. Always been an enterprise customer more than 25 years this is the first issue I have ever had, so I call costumer service and they cannot even call the local branch for an answer - they sent an email on my behalf - really? One number? This is just horrible costumer service - i don't get it, maybe they are so busy one costumer like me doesn't count? I really don't know, but it's definitely not right, 350 odd dollars later I feel ripped off, cheated and unimportant to this company. Guess after 25 years time to seek to do my business elsewhere. Very disappointed. They rolled a car that had been HEAVILY smoked in that should have never been rented out to a customer. My husband and I both had extremely irritated sinuses, bronchioles and headaches the whole week with no opportunity to go switch out the car. Rented a car here through my insurance while my car was in the shop, and was being charged $2,900 for my rental due to the additional coverage offered through enterprise that my insurance agent told me I did not need. My insurance was only paying $900 and this location told me I needed this coverage, after I told them I did not need it per my insurance company and they did not remove it, charged me for it and, they were requiring me to do extra steps just to get that coverage removed. They ended up charging me more for this coverage than the rental itself actually cost. They told me after the fact that they would "meet me halfway" on price, and did not call us back after saying this. They then charged me the full price that they had originally said they would come down on without ever contacting us back, me or my insurance company, and this is not what was owed or agreed upon. We have called multiple times since this and have STILL not received a call back regarding the amount they charged without telling us. They were also specifically told to not charge the card on file and proceeded to do it anyways when the amount was not owed as they charged. We have still been trying to contact them with no response from management and the car was returned 4/19. read more

The office staff was very good and helpful. The location is small and difficult to get out of the parking lot if it is full of cars. They are moving to a new location down the road which hopefully will help out. The Nissan Sentra that I received though only had 3/4 tank of gas. Since I was using the vehicle for a long distance drive it was disappointing having to stop earlier than expected to refuel. The vehicle had a lot of residue on the side of the vehicle. This is a satellite location away from the airport and apparently they place bumpers on the car to protect them during transit on the carrier to the satellite location. Since I was hosting customers it would have been appreciated to have a clean car. read more

***ENTERPRISE CAR RENTAL, HENDERSONVILLE, TN.*** BUYER BEWARE!!! THE DEAL We rented a car on Friday 25 August. We got a good deal on a Dodge Journey, an excellent long distance cruiser. The vehicle was dirty but we quickly detailed it, excusing the condition for the value of the deal. We returned it on Monday 28, an hour before time and again, meticulously detailed - gratitude for what was a great deal! THE SCAM The employee carried out a "check-in" inspection of the vehicle while my wife waited inside the office. Moments later, the worker fetched my wife and then pointed out a mark on the inside of the windshield on the passengers side. (BTW. We covered the trip on our own insurance.) I had been waiting in our car and so left it to join my wife and the employee's discussion. When I objected to the worker's accusation she said, "Well I'll let it slide this time!" Her statement irked me. What the employee didn't know was that I had observed her inspection from my vehicle, parked in the lot behind and to the right of the rental car. I had a clear view of her swiping the screen several times with her bright pink fingernails. Yes, she put the mark there herself. THE OUTCOME My wife was distraught. Ushering her to our car, I reassured her that we knew what really happened and that justice would prevail. When I returned home, I phoned the manager, Daniel. I told him what I saw, that it upset my wife, and that he had lost a customer. Nevertheless, I wished him the very best of luck. Doubtful that consequential action would follow, I wrote this review to help others. We will not use Enterprise again. THE WORK AROUND NEVER, never, never allow the check-out or check-in inspection to be carried out without your watching the employee's every move. It was sickening to see this young woman behave in such a despicable way. I am not sure what's worse, being scammed like that or watching someone lie without a glint of emotion. THE PHILOSOPHY I wondered why Enterprise did this to us, and it raised a couple of questions. Was Enterprise going to hit up our insurance company for a new windshield? This staff is the hardest working staff I have seen! They are gracious and polite. These guys go above and beyond for all of their customers. I refer my friends and clients to rent from here so I am well versed in how this staff treats myself and others. I have been in there multiple times and see this time and time again. It's a shame that some of the bad reviews here contain inaccurate information putting the blame on the staff without the customer taking responsibility for their own misunderstanding or wanting the staff to bend the rules outside of company policy to accommodate them. I know because I have witnessed some of these instances that are being reviewed first hand. The cars my clients, friends, and myself have had have been in impeccable shape. They offer additional coverage to help protect you in the car. They don't force it and they don't pressure you. There are no hidden charges. They call me before my reservation to confirm I'm bringing everything I need that will qualify me to rent a car, they explain the contract in depth, and they call me while I'm in the car to thank me for renting with them. If someone locks their keys in the car or keeps a light on to kill the battery (I've been there) I understand they can't switch me out unless they're open during business hours. It's absurd to expect otherwise, especially during a global pandemic when we should be thankful they're putting their health at risk to help people who need to rent cars. Thank you Enterprise in Hendersonville for taking care of myself and anyone I have ever sent to you, but also for politely dealing with some of the unruly people I have witnessed in your lobby. I would not have had the same patience for the disrespect some of you have been shown by some of the customers. You guys keep doing what you're doing because you're doing great. I have used Enterprise for a few years now, but recently they have really dropped the ball. The last three times I have rented and asked to be picked up they tell me they will have someone out there as soon as possible. Well, soon as possible it's no sooner than forty-five minutes. My last rental took the cake. A "standard" sized car was 2019 Dodge Charger V8 with low profile performance tires. I drove it to Pensacola, FL and the next morning the tire pressure monitor alerted me to low tire pressure on the front passenger tire. I put air into the tire and then took it to a Discount Tire location in the area. DT not only showed me the front tire had already been repaired with a plug and could NOT be repaired, but both front tires were beyond tire wear. This was very concerning for safety all the way around. I was able to drive it five minutes away to Pensacola Airport to get a Nissan Frontier for the rest of my time. I believe it's time to look elsewhere for my future rentals. read more

For over sixteen years, I have rented from Enterprise using my debit card. I am aware of the deposit hold and have no issues with that. The other policies however, are absolutely ridiculous. -Must have a utility bill (electric, gas, water) in your name, address matching drivers license and not one penny of a balance forward, even if you show a receipt proving no balance is owed or even a credit. So... If you are renting a room, utilities included, DENIED If you are in shared housing with no bills in your name (even if you have a lease and license with the same address), DENIED If you pay the electric company the monthly average each month (some months having a few dollars forwarded to the next month and some months showing a credit), DENIED If you have recently moved, changed your drivers license but have not received your first bill with your new address on it (even if you have a new lease, letter from the electric company, etc...), DENIED It does not matter if it is your first rental or in my case, your forty-fifth, you are treated the exact same. Loyalty and history mean absolutely nothing to Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Expect these things if you decide to rent here: 1) If using a debit card, have utility bills in your name, with your current address, matching your drivers license, no balance forward amount, not one penny, on your bills, and a $ 150 (minimum) deposit hold on your card until about three days after your return, plus the price of your rental including all fees and insurances. 2) They close at noon on Saturday and are closed on Sunday. If you want to drop off your car Sunday night and leave the keys in the drop box, sorry, there is not one. You must be present to return your car and they don't open until 7:30. You will not get out of there before 7:50 so you will be late for work. 3) If you do not accept their full coverage insurance, have your insurance card and policy with you. If you do accept the coverage, be prepared to be bullied into accepting all of the other insurances like road side assistance, even if you pay for AAA, because apparently tires and windshield dings are only covered under that policy. 4) If you have rented from them forty-four times, always showing your AAA card, don't expect to receive your discount if on the forty-fifth visit, your husband just drove away with it in his car! Remember, no loyalty no matter how many times you rent. I am forty two years of age and have never had a credit card. I have owned a successful business for over twenty years. But, because I choose to not join the credit circus, I am treated as if my business is not appreciated at Enterprise. Well, after sixteen years, I am tired of it and done. I will explore other options and even if I have to open a credit card, I will go where my business is appreciated. I work too hard for every cent I have and refuse to patronize businesses that could not care less. read more

Wow I'm impressed. I rented a car for a out of town business trip and had a flat tire very soon into the trip. I was on a tight time schedule and long story short I bought a new tire for it myself. Upon return the office staff promptly took care of reimbursement. They were very understanding and helpful. Just genuinely nice guys. They made it right and then gave me a free upgrade on my next rental which I told them wasn't necessary but they did it anyway. I was pleasantly surprised. They run this business right and appreciate their customers. I'd give them six stars if that was a choice. read more

My car blew a timing chain, and I needed to rent a car during the repair. I signed on with Enterprise, as I have used them many times over the years. This rental however, was anything but a pleasant experience. I arrived on time, and was given a Ford Fusion, which was an upgrade from what I had reserved. All went well. But after 5 minutes on the road, a message came on to the dashboard, that I had an underinflated tire .After my job, I returned to their office to report an underinflated tire. I was told to put some air in the tire, or go to the local tire shop where they had an account. Really? I expected that they would correct the situation. So I drove on the tire for another day and returned the car. Unfortunately, my car would not be fixed until Friday afternoon, so I needed a rental car for one more day. I set up another rental for Thursday afternoon to Friday afternoon. When I arrived, and as they retrieved my information, the man at the desk told me that for $16 I could get their insurance. I politely said, "no thanks". Then he demanded my insurance information. He wanted a copy of my policy, or some "insurance card". I did not have this with me. It was in the glove box of my car. He advised that he could not rent to me without this information. I did note that other customers were not asked for insurance information. I have been renting cars all of my adult life...and have never, NEVER had to provide proof of insurance. Never!! I rented from them just a day before, and did not have to present this information. So...I walked the 10 minute walk to where they were working on my car, and climbed into the car to retrieve my insurance information, walked back to Enterprise, and got my rental. I returned it a day later...no problem. I just sold a business that I had run successfully, for 25 years. If I'd had an employee that behaved like this man at Enterprise...I would have fired him on the spot. And why...did I have to provide insurance information when just 2 days earlier, I had not...nor had I ever in the last 30 years?? This man was rude, condescending, and arrogant. If you need to rent a car in the Hendersonville area, this is a good place. Decent service and no frills which is good for some rental car locations. This place is a NIGHTMARE. I reserved a rental car about a month in advance for our Florida trip for 5 days. I was to pick up the car Friday but I decided to stop by on Thursday just to make sure everything was good to go. The first thing said to me when I walked in was "You renting a car? You wanna take it home today for no charge?" This guy was supposedly a manager. Of course I said sure. Who wouldn't? This would make our exit extremely easier. I started filling out paperwork and they inform me I would have a charge of $60 for the young driver fee (Since I am 24.) I said okay well how about I put the car in my husband's name since he is 25? He said "No ma'am that won't be necessary, we will waive that fee for you. So in my head, I'm paying for the car and the deposit that I am told I will get back when I drop the car off. At this point, a young woman is helping me and she pulls the car up and once again I am reminded before I sign that the "young driver's fee" was waived. She also tried to sell me some kind of $16 dollars a day damage waiver and I refused. The next day, I'm reviewing my receipt that they sent to my email, and sure enough, I was screwed over. Sure, they "waived" the young driver's fee, but they added in a daily roadside assistance fee as well as a daily personal injury fee, both of which totaling about $60. I immediately call and speak to the female that rented the car for me and she states," Oh yes, since we waived that young driver fee for you, I figured I would replace it was some things that could be used to your advantage." NO, WHEN DID I GIVE YOU PERMISSION TO DO THIS? I do not need personal injury or roadside assistance, that is what my insurance is for. So my husband and I go there later on that day and ask for the "manager." My husband says ,"I want to put this car in my name and I want those extra fees off immediately, so I am paying for the car itself and the deposit only." Once again, it was the same guy that greeted me first the day before. How is it fair to say you're "waiving a fee" then without telling the customer, you slip in two DAILY fees after telling the customer he/she could take the car a day early and drop it off a day late for FREE. Clearly, they were about to charge me for two extra days with the daily fees they added on. So, they put the car in my husband's name and told us we were both allowed to drive the car. In my head, this is just another fee that's going to come back and bite us in the end. But, once again the guy told us "He hooked us up and we're good." I wanted proof and a print out of this but my husband assured me we would deal with it when we got back. We got back and before returning the car, we cleaned it out and washed it I walk in and I do not see the "manager" that kept telling me "We got hooked up and we were good." So I knew this was going to be a disaster. A guy takes me out to the car, records the mileage and looks at me and says okay you're good to go. WHAT?! How about you tell me how much money I'm due back. He looked at his tablet and said "Looks like about $110." how is this possible when the deposit you get back alone is $150. I snapped. I tell him EVERYTHING that has happened since the start. He starts telling me that I was charged the "young drivers fee" for the first day that I took the car... (WHICH IS PATHETIC BECAUSE I HAD NO INTENTION OF TAKING THE CAR AND THE "MANAGER" TOLD ME I COULD TAKE IT ONE DAY EARLY FOR FREE." Then, he said you were also charged a week long fee for adding an additional driver. I knew this would end up being a fee!!!! I said, "HOW CAN YOU CHARGE ME A WEEK LONG DRIVERS FEE WHEN SPOUSES ARE AUTHORIZED DRIVERS AND THERE IS NO FEE FOR SPOUSES." I pulled out a snip from their website regarding authorized drivers and showed this to him. He looked at me and said "you're absolutely right ma'am, I'll have to go inside and take these charges off for you."He came back out and told me I was due $152 back on my car so we shall see if that actually happens. All of this, when my husband could have just put the car in his name from the start, got charged for the car and the deposit, which totals $290 when I was charged $355 total. Also, on my receipt, they added a $25 fee for "8th day" when I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THE CAR FOR 8 DAYS. I had the car Thurs-Thurs!! THIS PLACE WILL SNEAK IN ANY FEE THEY POSSIBLY CAN IN HOPES YOU WILL NOT FIND OUT. I WAS LIED TO MULTIPLE TIMES BY MULTIPLE EMPLOYEES. I had fees snuck in behind my back, was told taking it early would be free, and they ATTEMPTED to charge me for driving the car WHEN I AM A SPOUSE as well as a ONE DAY FEE FOR UNDERAGE DRIVER WHEN THEY TOLD ME TAKING IT A DAY EARLY WOULD BE FREE. There are so many other options in town: Avis, Budget, Hertz. Do your business elsewhere, these people want your money. I have been renting every weekend for the last 2 months.. what keeps me coming back is the awesome, helpful and friendly staff. they will help you any way they can and give you any discount you qualify for. Car choices could be better but then again i am very picky. but they will have a few chooses in each category of cars specially SUVs Car cleanliness is average.
