Reserved a van 2 weeks in advance. Pick up at 2pm on a Saturday. Received message around 11AM saying my van came back damaged and it will not be available . I call back, and say fine, I'll take something else, possibly a SUV. Only vehicle they have is a pick up. I need at least a 6 passenger. So then I asked him to check another Enterprise to see if any vans or SUVs are availabe. Can not get access to that thru the computer he says. Now I'm getting pissed. Planning on leaving at 3pm. and most rental places close at 12 or 1pm on a Saturday. My wife sees a SUV on their website. She calls and he says sorry, list not updated, even though she was able to confirm it online. He told my wife that he messaged me with possible availabilty at other locations. I received no such messages. Luckily my wife found a SUV in Delray , south of Linton. When we went to pick up, she offered us a 7 passenger van that was also available and 10 dollars cheaper. We rented the van, and she said we could return it to Lake Worth location. 5 star service at Delray location. Thank you Delray for saving the day. Got to tell you was told I would get a call back from the enterprise on Lantana for my rental within an hour that was after being on hold four different times 37 mnts 35 mnts and finally 25 mnts never received that call, I had to contact them again asked for mr. Kelly and they still didn't have a vehicle for me. Yet I contacted the lake worth office, and mr. Tyriek Fraser was there, and he called me back to tell me he had a vehicle for me now that's called professional curtsey, unfortunately the truck I received was not what I wanted this is the same truck that was showed to me earlier I said no. after waiting one hour I received a Toyota tundra half my truck size and very dirty. bringing this back first thing tomorrow only toke it cause I didn't have a vehicle to get home and you prey yourself on cleanliness not cool them workers need to be told that. Now I understand why you're cars are not maintained like they use to be, you literally have the same person that's renting you a car clean it. I seen it that's so unprofessional, anyway if it wasn't for the nice lady manager today 7/26 I would be looking at another car rental company even if I had to pay for it myself, I would be compensated by usaa, this will never happen to me again because that's what I'm going to do next time..... read more

I went to the enterprise rent-a-car website to rent A pickup truck on March 20th 2025. I specifically rented a pickup truck because I had to carry 6 bicycles for the family and five family members on top of that. When I got to the enterprise location at 7353 Lake Worth Rd. in Lake Worth FL I was greeted at the counter by a lady who asked me for my driver's license and my credit card to confirm the reservation. She then proceeded to take my credit card and bill me for $379.24 As she said the deposit for the vehicle would be $300 and would be refunded when I returned my pickup truck. They told me to go sit in a chair and they would be with me in a few minutes, after about 10 minutes a man approached me and asked me to come out the front door at that point he preceded the tell me I have bad news for you I don't have a pickup truck, but I could give you an SUV. I explained to him I specifically rented a pickup truck because I need to carry six bicycles and I also need to carry five family members. I explained to him I cannot fit 6 bicycles in the back of an SUV and five people in the SUV plus our camping gear and various pieces of luggage et cetera. At that point I asked him why can't I have the pickup trucks that are sitting on the parking lot right then and there and he explained to me that somebody else had already rented them. So I said well they're not here I am why can't I have the truck I rented, he said the customers had already come to the rental place and had taken the car keys with them and they would come back later and pick up the pickup trucks with the car keys they had already taken. I then asked him why would you rent the pickup trucks out from under me when I specifically rented one on the enterprise website. His response was, and this is as the manager Brian Liotta Explained to me, that when you rent a pickup truck from enterprise rent-a-car they're not really necessarily going to hold a pickup truck for you, because the vehicle is considered a special vehicle and non-standard you will most likely get a substitute vehicle when you get there. I asked him when I rented the pickup truck why did it not say enterprise is not really holding a pickup truck for you another vehicle will most likely be substituted. So after offering me various types of cars and SUV and the minivan I explained to him none of those will suffice what can you do for me, the reply was absolutely nothing there is nothing we can do for you! I asked if he could check any other enterprise locations around that may have a pickup truck he said they don't have any all the pickup trucks are taken, and most annoyingly the pickup trucks sitting on his lot at this moment in time are also taken. I consider this to be extremely poor service, they ruined my family's vacation, we had to travel to our destination in the family car, left our bicycles at home and while all the other children and families we were meeting got to go for a nice bike ride that we had been planning we sat and did nothing thank you enterprise rent-a-car for helping us to enjoy such a wonderful vacation! I then asked the manager Brian in the future what could I do to guarantee I get a pickup truck and he said with enterprise rent-a-car there is nothing you can do to guarantee that and you will just have to accept whatever we offer you. So my recommendation is if you need a specialty vehicle or nonstandard vehicle as the manager Brian claims it is, I suggest you try any other rental car agency where you won't hear so many excuses and you'll actually be able to obtain the vehicle that you rented and were counting on heavily. I would give enterprise rent-a-car negative 10 stars if Yelp offered that option unfortunately the worst I can do is one star. At that point I left the rental car location . I then called Enterprise Corporate headquarters to see if they could locate a pickup truck for me they said they were going to escalate the situation to a regional manager/ area director and he would call me back as quickly as possible. True to Enterprises crappy customer service track record no one from enterprise corporate headquarters ever called me as per the promise I received on the phone from the operator who was escalating the situation for me to help me out of the predicament. I am in and out quite quickly, and once I even had an issue that was a bit stressful and the staff and management were absolutely amazing at helping me resolve the problem. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Visiting my parents in Florida from out of state. Had a van rental reservation (thru Costco) made weeks in advance for our visit. Pickup day arrives, no van. Told a van would be ready soon after an oil change and we'd be called. Never received a call. We called every few hours, nothing available...spoke with customer service and corporate office. No cars available and no calls back. Day 2: woke up and called Enterprise...told to make a new reservation...reserved an economy car (only car available) on Costco for one day less for nearly same price. Your employee Lamar informed us that the reservation couldn't be honored due to other reservations being booked before ours. I don't understand why you would book reservations if no cars are available to fulfill said reservation.... I travel almost every week all over the United States and I will not be using enterprise anymore ... I will also ensure every single of my friends and family members know about this experience at this location. Went to rent a car yesterday because my car is in the body shop. The man asked me what kind of car I had and asked if I would like something like it. I said sure. At no point in the 10 minutes it took to register did he tell me it would cost me extra. If he did I would have told him then not to give me that car. I sat there 30-40 minutes waiting for the car. He had plenty of opportunity to tell me. I'm about to get in the car and the other man says ok so this will cost you 5.85 out of pocket a day please sign here. I said no it won't. Because I don't want to pay anything. The man inside mentioned nothing about this. Ok well I can give you a Corolla then. He is trying to tell me that a Jeep Compass and a Corolla is only 5.85 dollars difference? If I hadn't sent my husband home I would have left and went to another enterprise So he gave me a car that just came in. I went to go back in the office to wait some more, they locked me out. Ok. About 10 minutes later they brought me the new car. So pretty much no sterilization and it smells like patchiouli. So I have a headache and am nauseous on top of it. I usually don't like to give negative reviews but after giving this location multiple opportunities to make things right, I don't feel like I have a choice. I reserved a rental on 4/15/2021 for pick up on 5/7/2021. I was hesitant because the last time I used this location I was given a downgrade in rental class despite having reserved a vehicle 3 weeks in advance. When I arrived I learned that I had 2 choices to pick from... a Nissan Versa or a Chevy Spark both compact cars. I had reserved a mid sized vehicle and was downgraded 2 classes. Annoyed I reached out to the location 5 minutes after picking up the vehicle to let them know the vehicle was too small to fit my needs. I was also told because the vehicle was "newer" it was the same rate as the midsize vehicle Class I reserved. I found this unacceptable and reached out to Enterprise on Facebook and their 1-800 number and was told a district manager would be reaching out to me to resolve my issue. I recieved a text message from someone from enterprise(they did not introduce themselves as a manager) and asked for feedback. After expressing my dissappointment, I was told that I would be charged the subclass rate. Additionally I was assured that I could change my method of payment since I had used an incorrect card for my business. It has been 5 days after I returned the vehicle and I have not been reimbursed for the difference of vehicle class I recieved and when I tried to go back to the location to fix my credit card issue I was told there was nothing they can do. I also never recieved any communicated from anyone claiming to be a manager that could assist me with this issue. I'm really frustrated and dissapointed at the level of service I have recieved throughout this ordeal and will not use or recommend usuing this Enterprise location. read more

We reserved a car and we were to have the same day, they would have it by the afternoon we had to wait another 24 hours to have a car ready for us. We went to the location on Lake Worth said the car would be there at a certain time and it was not it was at another location which from we lived closer to be would have picked it up here it so he went to the Lake Worth location they said it was in the Wellington. There was no communication whatsoever they handed me the keys to the car and said bye have a nice day. I got in the car and took it upon myself to teach myself everything inside the car. I've rented from enterprise plenty of times at most of their locations including this location on Lake Worth Rd. and jog and I must say that this has been the best renting experience that I've had. I was assisted by a woman named Vanessa and she made The rental process really smooth and easy . That's not the only thing, she is very very well mannered and her voice is just so delightful. Most enterprise rental locations I've been at the employees are really rude and have no patience but this woman deserves a raise or a higher position because she was just over the top. If I wasn't able to rent a car today I would have been fine with that because Vanessa was just so friendly and kept a smile on her face so it made me feel really comfortable. If you are using ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR make sure the employee sanitizes the car in front of you or bring your own Lysol and Alcohol to clean it yourself! I am so appalled. And I can't stand to see anyone else get treated how my mother was just now by an Enterprise Rent-A-Car Careers employee As as all of you know, Evie And I used to work for them, so we knew exactly how all of this works. To try to be short, we went with my mom to make sure she got a properly cleaned car during this pandemic and to make sure it went smooth- 1. There was no car there ready for her- so the employee made a call and said I'll be back I have to clean a car. Which is fine, we know this happens, so we waited, we know Monday mornings are bananas. 2. He brought us an SUV that was absolutely disgusting. And let me tell you, without factoring in COVID-19 this car by surface look opening the door was disgusting. It was not vacuumed let alone sanitized. And I actually attached the pictures to show you how "sanitized" it was after EVIE and I SAT THERE AND CLEANED THE CAR, FOR THE EMPLOYEE, FOR MY MOTHER. 3. When we asked why she got a dirty car he said "I did the best with what they gave me- and the body shop is not fond of us here so they don't let me use their detailing equipment." Which almost sent us through the roof because we know enterprise values their relationships with their body shops. We went in and asked the front desk of the body shop for Lysol and cleaning supplies and she gladly gave them to us and said please come back if you need more, we are here to help. This is unacceptable Enterprise!!! And what is worse is we showed up to the branch to get an explaination and your manager preceded to give us excuses for his actions, WHEN MY MOTHER COULD HAVE GOTTEN SICK FROM THIS! She said he was coming from a SALES and BUSINESS point of view WHAT! She had NO to very LITTLE regard or apology for the fact my mothers safety had been gambled like she was going to the casino instead of trying to get her car fixed and get a rental to still go to work If you cannot serve your customers and guests SAFELY without getting people sick you need to stay CLOSED until you have the ability and capacity to do so. Enterprise is a good company. I did most of my rentals there. I can't reinforce how many times I have been there an it was always good. Lately, it has been rough, customer service is no bueno. The service sucks. I recently went there because i had a car accident. So my insurance put my car in a shop and while i am waiting they ask me to pick up a car at Lake worth Enterprise. Enterprise called me to inform me they had a car ready for me. They sent someone to pick me up. I got there and took me over 1 hour waiting for a car. When they finally gave me one, the car was not good. It was actually a van. The van has over 50000 miles, and any time I drove over 50 miles/hour, it keeps shaking like it was seizing. I called and told them what happened and that I would need a vehicle swap. They asked me to come in. I got there 5:48 pm to be exact. while I was sitting waiting, another gentleman arrived at 5:57pm. He said he rushed in because he thought he was going to be late picking up his rental. They took his info and asked to wait for the rental. Thirty minutes passed, the guy that was helping me came and told that they had a red Hyundai Elantra and he would give it to me. So I waited to have the car, he came back to me and told me that the car had a nail on it and they had to give me another one. I replied, no problem. While I am waiting, the same red Hyundai he said he could no longer give me because there was a nail in the tire was brought upfront with a driver on it and was given to the guy that came after. Do I bring a race issue, I do not but you figure it out. Now I had to wait another 30 minutes for another car. When the employee guy car finally arrived with a jeep for me, I approached him and explained to him how I felt about the whole situation. He had then an attitude and was ready to argue with me. Apparently, my point was not valid to him for he feels like he is the big guy. He later arrived with a jeep, turned it off and handed me the key. I started the jeep, and I kid you not, the jeep was completely empty on gas. The gas light on the dash was red. I called him and made him aware of it. He said" Just bring it back the same way I gave it to you". I said, that is not the point. I feel unsafe driving the car as it may let me strand on the road for I may not be able to make it to the next gas station. He replied, have a good night sir. I got off the car, removed the key and handed it to him. I caught a Uber at home. I would do enterprise rentals but I would be careful of certain enterprise locations like the location on Lake Worth. I rented a car while mine was at the dealership. From the time the valet picked me up, to the counter staff and then the gentlemen who delivered the car to me, it was all a great experience. The car was very clean. the staff was very professional. I rent a number of cars a year for business and I can tell you the last year was hard on all the companies. In fact last April my experience with H.... left me stranded without a car and a week of appointments and no offer of a solution from them! I am sure it all relates to Covid... This location must have made some recent improvements because my experience was nothing like the older reviews, I mean one of the better experiences ever for me... And I can see they really are working hard to deliver good customer service. My advice, give them another try and see for yourself. read more

This is by far the absolute worst Enterprise in the country. I've been renting from enterprise for well over a decade and every time I go in, somebody here is either rude to me or I observe them while waiting being extremely rude to another customer. They regularly take advantage of elderly people by selling them extra stuff they don't need on their rentals, and they use the fact that you've been dropped off as a power-play in being rude and not offering customer service. Six months ago while at this location I observe the staff call the police on irate customers who were upset that although they had been told by corporate cars were available none were available at this location. The glee with which the counter staff turns people away here is highly upsetting. Additionally just yesterday (after a debacle in which I was told that 'lots of people carry their utI was told "you're beautiful " in the most sarcastic voice by a young man who seemed to think his silly hairdo and tie give him some gravitas beyond working a car rental counter. I made complaints every time, I have yet to be responded to by anyone from corporate. I think it could behoove this company to examine the number of reservations made versus the number of rentals fulfilled at this particular location. They were soooo eager yesterday to turn me away, I swear the girl smiled when she handed me my license and card back. It's a top down conspiracy to avoid the work of doing a rental. This is the BEST Enterprise location, their Customer Service is amazing! Very professional. The cars are clean and they show you the different choices they have available, and work with you patiently to accommodate you to your rent a car preference. I could not believe how they treated me compared to the enterprise closest to my house or the one by the airport, this location on Lakeworth is the most reliable to have the car you want available and the best Customer Service . MAURICIO was the representative that helped me get the vehicle I wanted and he showed my choices and the difference in year and prices between the rent cars, he was very detailed and patiently listened to want I was looking for and gave me all the time to make up my mind. Every single time it's a wait of at least 40 minutes to get a car. - and that's after waiting 10-15 minutes for someone to check you in. They rarely have the type of car you reserve. Huge disappointment! I made a reservation for a full sized vehicle at this Enterprise location and as I am in route to pick it up I am called by Louise to tell me they don't have a vehicle for me. Not only that, they have nothing to rent for me even if I upgraded. I asked Louise if she could search other Enterprise locations and she told me she'd give me their numbers. I requested she call them to check since I was driving and she put me on hold for a very long time to then come back and say they had nothing available. Not only was the service horrible, she lied. The Lake Worth location went above an beyond to make my vehicle emergency turn into a successful trip. While heading to Orlando we experienced car issues at the WPB Service Station/Rest Stop - we were able to call and get a vehicle in 10 minutes. Once I reached the location they had everything ready for me - and I was again on my way to Orlando for my sons graduation. Called enterprise to book an an appointment, was told that no one can pick us up but to come to this location because there are plenty of cars to rent. Called an uber and came here to be told that there are no cars until 3:00 pm, it was 1:30 pm. Confused we said why were we told to come here then? Which they replied with it was the corporate office that told you that not us and we don't have anything until 3:00. We are now upset at this point and the people working here 100% knew that. We called and paid for an uber to be told that they have nothing. Instead of trying to help us by calling around to see another one of there locations had a car for us, Manny & Dave decided to do absolutely NOTHING for us! We didn't even get an apology, just pointed the finger at their corporate office and stood there and looked at us. Now extremely upset we had to explain to them that maybe they should call someone to help us which they refused to do. Someone in my group said the F word (come on now, everyone says it, and no, it wasn't directed to them) then their employees freaked out, said they will NOT rent us a car & they are calling the cops. So here I am, sitting on the curb, in the rain waiting for yet another uber to pick us up and bring us to hertz. Ps. While we waited for our uber, we called enterprise to look for another car & to make sure that a location actually has one to which a local branch picked up and told us "I am to busy to look up my inventory for you". Rude the guy who answered was a total ass I called around 2:30 in the afternoon on November 13, 2020 I was not aware of the up charge for insurance the agreement I signed was for three days which I do have the receipt for not anything after they never called to inform me about it they never kept me in the loop and they still were able to go into my bank account and charge me for days after I return the vehicle read more

Had an ok experience at this location. They were quick with getting me the rental and returning the rental. Customer service was lackluster. Nothing to rave about. The rental was still a little dirty. It had stains in the seats. Just FYI they put a hold on your account and then charge you the total when you return the rental. For example....My total was $204. When I picked up the rental they put a hold of $404 on my credit card. When I returned the rental they charged me $204. So a total of $608 is still unavailable in my account. VERY inconvenient! Not what I was expecting when I set out of spend $204 on a rental. Ridiculous. read more

Awful!!! DO NOT rent here.. actually go to another company!! First off nobody will call you back from upper management so dont respond to my complaint because it's only for show....just want the public to know this...REGIONAL MANAGER WON'T CALL YOU BACK EVER!!!! They got your money that's all that matters. They tell you one price you get charged another, won't get your deposit back and charge your credit card whenever they feel.
