The staff are very helpful. I greatly appreciated the great customer service that Carter and Camile provided. We were both in a very emotional state because of the purpose of the rental so we appreciated their helpfulness. We reserved a Corolla online intentionally so we could get good gas mileage since gas prices are so hgh right now. And the fact that we did most of the driving in California, the prices were even higher for gas. Like most rental car places they didn't have the car that we had reserved. I think this issue happens at all rental companies and it is a frustrating experience. I wish that the actual cars available are shown upon reserving. We ended up renting a Nissan Sentra which got good gas mileage as well. The car only had $20,000 miles on it so that was a plus. It was about as comfortable as it could be for an economy model. The waiting room at this location is on the small side for how many people are there. Allow extra time for pick-up. It took us 45 min. Drop off was a breeze amd only took 5 minutes. We would definitely rent from this location again.

We received a car with a quarter of a tank in gas and a tire that was leaking air rapidly. We did not discover this until we were leaving for Flagstaff. Brandon Green is the "Branch Manager" that gave us that car. We obviously were very frustrated and not happy customers. Thankfully we were very lucky to be able to be helped by a very helpful young man in Anthem and he had a car that was available. He got us in and out and back on the road quickly. He was filling in at that location and I'm disappointed that I don't remember his name. He saved our very important day, unlike Brandon in Sun City.

She told us one price in person and when I called to do extension she told me it would be same price . My wife asked her please make sure the hold is off. Also when billing fixed what she tried to charge it was a 600 dollar difference. Historically, I've always used competitors so was a bit leery using National and not sure about the service, quality, etc. National Car Rental in Phx exceeded all of my expectations! To start off with, Joy at the counter was super friendly and helpful! I had just had a rough disembarkation (because we had to wait for an open gate) but she was quick to help and get me on my way, with clear instructions that the next person would help me get my vehicle and with the understanding, friendliness, customer service we don't always see anymore. When I reached the parking lot, I was told I could choose any vehicle between the rows I was told. I couldn't believe it. The selection was incredible! I couldn't help but think I'd be charged more because I booked a smaller vehicle but ended up choosing a smaller SUV. Nope, same price. The Jeep Compass was clean, worked perfectly and was a great fit for my visit. Checking back in was also super friendly and efficient. After a quick greeting and check of the vehicle, Aiden made sure I was happy with my vehicle, if I had any questions, concerns, how it could've been better, etc. I've rented from others before where I was told to just throw the keys on the dash and that was the end of our interaction. National made the effort for a friendly, customer-driven experience every chance they had to ensure a high level of satisfaction. I didn't download the app or become a member because I wasn't sure it'd be worth it but if every National Rental Car is as friendly and accommodating as the PHX Airport site, I think I may have a new favorite car rental company! Most recently, I rented a car for a week and after taking the train to the rental car center, I was able to skip the desk and head straight to the Emerald Aisle to pick any available car. I would highly recommend setting up an account with National and taking advantage of this.... being able to skip a line at the counter is a blessing. In any event, we went to the aisle, picked out our car and were off after a brief stop at the gate to check everything. Return was also quick and painless. Josh did a thorough inspection of the car, which we returned with a full tank and in pristine shape, and we were on our way in no time. It's amazing how frictionless the experience can be, as opposed to how awful other companies (I'm looking at you Hertz) can make it. I highly recommend National.
