I had a bad experience , while I was in there this lady Yvette couldn't stop talking about her boss who hired some old bag she said . So had bad taste in my mouth. She told us one price in person and when I called to do extension she told me it would be same price . Than when I called to chk what total price she told me some crazy price like 1300 for two weeks . She than said you got a problem call billing . I did and supervisor was saying she is not right for that , we have fixed it . She never took Off the hold on my card as well . She is very sneaky and fraudulent, the way she was acting it was like talking to complete evil Person . Now we took car back and she was like leave it there I'm Busy . My wife asked her please make sure the hold is off. Also when billing fixed what she tried to charge it was a 600 dollar difference. She is doing something fraudulent I can't proove it but there's something going on. She works at the hertz 6409'w Glendale . Please do not use that office ,there is many issues . I rented a car over the holidays and intentionally avoided the airport as I know that adds all sorts of costs to the rental. I made an online reservation for 5pm, I got a Lyft to the rent place and got there a couple minutes before 5pm. I called ahead and said I'd be there for my 5pm reservation. The single employee working said she's locking the doors at 4:59. When I arrived at 4:57 the door was locked and a second person was outside dealing with the same situation. I then called customer service and they told me to just Uber to a new location. That Uber would have been $60. Mind you it's 107 degrees outside and the employee wasn't allowing anyone into the store because she decided to leave a few minutes early then closing hours. Enterprise is just a few blocks away. Terrible rental company. Never, ever again. They rented me a vehicle with some deep scratches on the rear bumper and tried to blame me. I was totally harassed by the turn in guys both of who could barely speak a word of English so could not understand me hardly at all. Seems like a lot of customers have run into the same problem as myself with this location. Reserved ahead of time - A Large SUV fully paid for in advance. Only to show up and be told that there was no Large SUV's available. I was offered a downgrade to a smaller vehicle which made no sense as we needed a vehicle that could cater our 7 passenger family. Asked to cancel the reservation instead as they did not have the vehicle I had reserved and I was told I may still be charged a no show fee and gave me a number to contact billing to assist with it. Not happy. Went to Enterprise a couple streets over on 75th Ave & Cactus and they were able to assist me same day in less than 45 minutes. Needless to say I'll be using the Enterprise location in the future from now on. read more

Had a reservation for a noon pick up. Got there at noon, walked into the office and was sternly told to leave that they were closed. Why in the hell do you allow a noon pick up for a week long rental if you aren't going to let someone pick it up at noon. She said my only option was to cancel and that I'm out of luck. We visited family with dogs and apparently tracking dog hair into the vehicle from clothes and shoes merits a $150 cleaning fee. This was the (Glendale Az) location, after calling around they tracked down a vehicle at the Goodyear location for me, great! so I thought, Hertz made me contact their own customer service go through almost an hour of nonsense with the middle east (location of the call center) I was charged all over again even though I had already paid at the Glendale location finally received a smaller car 2 hours later, basically Hertz treated me like crap even though they were the ones at fault, to top it off they didn't even let me use their restroom to take a leak that was the cake topper for me. I had a excellent experience today at this facility. I came in to rent a one way vehicle, which understandably is hard to sue given the Super Bowl is weeks away. My rental initially showed a mid size vehicle but due to being part of the Gold Plus membership I was to get an upgrade. She graciously found a car to upgrade me too and because it had just been returned asked that I wait while it was cleaned. She noticed I was sitting at the local coffee shop and brought me the keys. If I could give it 0 stars I would. I have rented from this specific Hertz close to 20 times because it is always no hassle. One time my vehicle even smelled like marijuana and I was super nice and drove back because I was afraid they would ding me for it, but they said they had already noted it (don't ask me why they rented a car that smelled like that, but ok). Back to the issue, whoever the two women working on June 25th at noon were horrific. I've rented from here because I don't have a credit card, nor do I want one, and I am ok paying the extra fees for a debit card. I had booked the car yesterday but the Hispanic lady was aggressive and said she pulled all rentals this morning. She eventually found my reservation but still insisted it didn't meet their 24 hour policy and wouldn't let me rent the vehicle without a credit card. I even had the email showing I had reserved the night before. Meanwhile while I am trying to locate information on my phone, the white lady who works there was cussing and talking to the lady who "helped" me about which manager to call about a different customer's reservation referencing the managers as grinches. It was overall a disgusting experience since I had been such a loyal customer. How the employees conducted themselves was also disgusting and I don't mind taking my business somewhere else if that means paying triple the price. Do not rent here. We prepaid and when we couldn't check in on line we went to the counter. Our rental was prepaid and we were told the dollar amount to be charged would be removed up one return. No it wasn't - they outright lied and added unwanted LDW (loss insurance) a big money maker for them to our contract. We also had to put up with continuing up sale talk the whole time. When we finally got our car location we were told we could pick any Escape available. Well, that was one beat up black Escape that had 45k on it and wasn't clean inside. Still had the prior renters trash in the door cupholders. When we returned the car and found out about the bait and switch the people at return didn't look surprised and just let us know we had to call the 800 number. Car dealership referred me as I had vehicle repairs, it was called in Thursday but I didn't get call from Hertz until Monday. Angela left message that a vehicle was ready for me to pick up. When I arrived Angela was talking on phone & didn't acknowledge me but when another customer came in & wanted to just leave keys like she expressed doing so in past, Angela said no & stated I was first so we both waited for her to complete her call. Angela stated she never left a message for me but later said she did. She was very rude so I asked to speak to someone else but she said no one else could help me. Another employee came in & helped other customer who just wanted to return vehicle. After doing all paperwork, giving my credit card, license & insurance information, Angela took me to vehicle which was dirty so I requested another vehicle & questioned why she left message that vehicle was ready. She did not respond. She stated no other vehicles available. The vehicle had out of state license & front license plate was damaged. They refused to give me a written notice when I decided to cancel whole transaction so I had to call dealership service to report negative experience. I did submit a complaint to Hertz Corporate Office. I did not want to give a one star rating as nothing was positive about whole experience. read more

This Hertz is terrible. The agent when I checked in stayed on a personal call for over 10 min and I was the only one in the office. I booked my car for pick up after 10:30a and came in at noon. She told me I was lucky she didn't rent my car and she only needs to hold for an hour. When I returned again with no one there she told me to have a seat. I said I am just dropping off. Zero stars if I could and for good reason. I prepaid 2 months in advance for a luxury vehicle and even stopped in to make sure it would available one week in advance. This was the worst experience I have ever had. I reserved a Mid Size SUV for our rental car and we received a Subcompact car. Not to mention the gas tank wasn't ever full!! We purposely paid extra for a bigger vehicle just to get screwed over! The manager was the one helping me & she refused to give me a bigger car. She was rude and had awful customer service. Was the absolute worst experience when we came to get our car that we had called an hour in advance for... the woman at the front desk took forever, gave us a car with a broken key fob and didn't put my husband on the reservation when we asked almost walked out with no car until the manager said it was possible to add him on the reservation When we went to return the car that took forever, the woman said that our weeklong reservation Had another reservation that supposedly just made itself.
