Upon arriving at the location I was at the Enterprise for truck rental which is behind Big O Tires and I had to go down a few doors for the car rental. The manager Kate was courteous, professional and handled my disappointment with ease. I ended up getting my end of the transaction sorted out. Went here to pickup my rental car after bring my car to a nearby shop. The location is in the very back of the parking lot and located in a dark corner. Inside not much other than one employee. She was Kind and knew what to do fast service. The vehicle was categorized as "luxury" but had scratches on outside and was dirty on inside, looked like food on steering wheel. Do not rent a car at this location -- you may end up with unexpected charges. When I rented a car on July 22, I made it very clear to the rental agent that I would be picking up the car in Pleasanton and returning it in Union City. At the same time, we had a three-way call with my insurance company and the Enterprise counter agent to confirm that all rental and insurance costs would be fully covered. I even provided the reservation number# Yesterday, August 7, I returned the car. Today 8/8, I received a voicemail from the Enterprise Pleasanton branch manager saying my total charge was $560 because the insurance company did not cover this cost. I immediately went to the Pleasanton office to speak with the manager, Kate. She told me that the insurance company had removed the coverage, so I had to pay $560.83 for insurance fee. I immediately called my insurance company to verify, and they confirmed that they had never removed any coverage -- from the first day of the rental until the last day, the full rental and insurance were covered. I called Kate to hear this directly. She then changed her story, saying it was a computer issue that could not be corrected right away and told me to go home and wait for an update. I was extremely upset. After returning home, I immediately sent her a formal email, expressing my strong dissatisfaction with their mistake. First, when there was a potential change to the rental agreement, Pleasanton office did not confirm with the insurance company but instead directly demanded payment from the customer. Second, upon realizing the mistake, they did not promptly correct it or apologize, but rather told me to go home and wait. Third, throughout the entire communication, I did not feel that Kate had any sincerity in correcting the problem -- instead, she kept making excuses and showed no genuine apology for the inconvenience caused to me. If I had known this location was so unprofessional, I would have rented from the Enterprise in Union City instead of wasting my time dealing with their mistakes. read more

My mother passed away, and I had to leave the country unexpectedly. I made arrangements for someone to return the rental car on my behalf, but I was informed that they could not do so because they were not listed on the rental agreement. When I asked for alternative options to return the car, I was essentially told, "Too bad your mother died -- you still need to return the car yourself." I was offered an extension, but with the understanding that I would be charged for however many days it took me to return. I really enjoyed the car, which ran great and was a good value. The one thing that annoyed me is that their online reservation system defaults to a 12 noon pickup time, and I didn't adjust that to an earlier time of day (which was more convenient). When I discovered my oversight as I was checking in and the online system required me to pay an additional $78 dollars to pick up the car 2 hours earlier than I had previously indicated. I felt "nickeld and dimed." However, when I returned the car 2 hours earlier a few days later, they refunded me that $78 dollars, so it all worked out. I wish it were more clear at the time because I looked into cancelling the reservation and creating a new one to avoid that $78 dollar charge. Anyhow, it all worked out great and I can see they actually charged me the good rate I thought I was getting now that I've returned the car. Thank you!! read more

Guy with the slicked back hairdo was trying to take advantage of my family. he said that there was an "additional charge" for the car. Wanted to charge us an extra $150 a day for a premium SUV that was listed within the class. He kept saying that it was extended cab and then made an excuse and said he it was booked, but if we paid $250 a day it wouldn't be booked. he kept changing his story to get more money. Said he'd "work with us on the price" even after he said it was booked already. Guys greasy guys. Almost as bad as used car salesman. Dirty. Attached below is the total cost for 3 days. The exterior of the cars is not much better, with scratches all over, chipped paint - it's embarrassing to drive around. Customer service was okay but when we took the car they told us the gas was between half and 3/4 gallons. When I returned the car I actually stopped by a gas station and filled it up to approximately the same spot. However, when returning the car they said we were short two gallons which seems like complete nonsense. I guess they want to nickel and dime you- and every cent counts. In the future, I would recommend you take an exact photo of the gas before you leave because they'll give you an approximation when you take it out but get all automated and exact when you return it. Or maybe they just ripped us off? I feel like these car rental places don't fill up the gas to full so they can play these nickel and dime gas games. read more

Had a Geico claim due to an accident. The rental arrived and I was told I needed to pay $7 per day despite having rental coverage. When I questioned why there was a charge, I was told that Geico doesn't cover tax as if that is a typical thing. I pushed back and said last time I had a rental Geico had covered the tax. The enterprise associate then told me oh that's because this is a more expensive car than was covered. Then the deposit was higher than what we had discussed when I called them the previous day. I ended up not taking the car and just leaving with my vehicle post inspection. The dishonesty regarding "tax coverage" made me feel uncomfortable doing business with this site. read more

This place is a joke. AAA set me up with a rental yesterday. I called yesterday so I can pick up the car. Whoever answered didn't seem interested in talking to me so she placed me on hold. 5min later someone else answered and was surprised I was still on the line. I asked for a car and she said there's a wait. I asked how long and she just with an irritated voice said I'll put you in a waitlist. I'm like will you call me back today and she's like maybe then hung up. Today didn't get a call and it was already 2p. Forget this place. I ended up going on hertz website Pleasanton and booked a car 3:30p. Done. Went to Hertz at pickup time got great customer service and a nice clean car. I will try and submit my receipt for reimbursement from AAA but I paid out of pocket cause Enterprise Pleasanton on Pimlico is just a waste of time. TIP: if rental is thru insurance see if they'll let you go thru Hertz Pleasanton on Hopyard. They will do you right. Right now if I don't get reimbursed the full amount I'll be okay as the inconvenience this would've cause had I tried to deal with them thru the whole rental from start to return would've cost me a lot more in added stress alone. Hello. if you're reading this, don't hesitate to do business with this specific location. My friend and i took a weekend trip out to Las Vegas and needed a reliable rental. Called this location about a week ahead to confirm availability. The representatives Loren and branch manager Nial were extremely helpful. I arrived the day we scheduled for and they had a nice 2019 Nissan Altima ready for me. Cleaned and sanitized. And extremely well kept. Loren was able to accommodate for dropping it off to my business location. Thank you for that btw. The car drove excellently and didn't have any funky smells or mechanical issues. Always get insurance for the unknown. I needed an extra day because we were running late on time for the return so i called and Loren was able to adjust the date easily for me. Returned the vehicle with a little above half tank and they were even able to pick it up from where i work because i was so close by. This is my favorite place. They have come through on more than 1 occasion when other Enterprise branches have failed me. I called from another branch (Tracy), who let me go all the way there after reserving a car only to say they didn't have one. The guy said no problem leave now and I will stay late to wait for you and find you something and he did. That's customer service. When I got a Mini Van at another branch and was never going to drive a Mini Van, this branch let me drive it there and trade it for something my speed. They are friendly and professional. I would give this branch a zero rating since some of the employee are not trustworthy. After I returned a rental car and was trying to back out the parking lot, Cameron (Enterprise employee, young fellow) drove a truck extremely fast in the park lot. I was scared and stopped my car completely right away after I noticed a truck driving so fast passing though my back (I would say he was driving 35 a mile/per hour in the parking lot). Very shortly before I was ready to continue backing Cameron did a reverse and trying to do 90 degree backing into their garage and scratched my rear bumper and one part of bumper popped off. His truck only has a little scratch of painting on the corner. The first thing I told him that I was completely stopped when I got out of my car. He told his manager he only looked at the camera. Doing a 90 degree backing with extremely fast speed only looking at the camera screen on the dashboard? The thing made me mad was that Cameron lied to the adjuster that both are backing at the same time. The store manager (Nial) tricked me to get my insurance info and I thought it was obvious it was Cameron's fault. When I contacted Enterprise and they told that I should contact my insurance company and they would even file a claim against me. It is unbelievable that they lie likes this. I would think the damage would only cost around $1500. To avoid paying $1500 they would lie about the fact to hurt his customers. I have asked the adjuster to ask for surveillance cameras recording but they told the adjustor that they don't have it so they can lie without worrying about the truth to be found out. But Heaven was recording the scenes. Anyway I would never to go back to that branch to do business with Nial nor Cameron. Today Enterprise insurance (RCS) adjustor told me that I am not liable for the accident based on the analysis of pictures and it is Cameron's responsibility. The manage same nice, they didn't have much of a selection so I settled for a suv thstbead larger then I wanted. Being 4"11 getting in and out off this vehicle was more then I could take. I called into there office and the manager told me she would suggest I come back on a Friday even though I was off that Thursday, and coming from Hercules, that it would get a better if I came back Friday afternoon, that there would be more choices because vechiles would be returned. I arrive there Friday afternoon to be told that there were no vehicles but a Chrysler available. I reminded her that I talked to her and what she told me. They were getting more cats in Friday, she told me they were getting ready to close. I kept the car she told me I would be charged the insurance daily rate. A week later when my car was ready. I returned the suv. My card on file was charged thier daily rate not the insurance rate and I had a larger then quoted me amount taken off my card. I would not refer anyone to trust this place. I was at the cooks body shop due to my car accident. I was told the Enterprise Car Rental is close by, so I decided to use their services. When I get there I told the lady at the counter that my insurance will only cover $35 per day, so I asked for small sub compact car. She said that they do not have one, and they upgrade me for free. They took my credit car, and when I return the car I found that they charge the insurance $35 /day, and they are charging me all the taxes. I ask why you should I pay for taxes, you knew my limit is $35 per day; she said the upgrade car is $35/day. Very unprofessional and tricky. I would not recommend this rental car , as they are not running a honest business. be very careful......:( read more
