    The Raleigh Enterprise on Capital Boulevard had given me a rental with a punctured tire. The next day I realized the tire was completely flat (6 PSI). I called the Raleigh Enterprise and the guy instructed me to drive it to the nearest Enterprise on the flat. Yes DRIVE IT ON THE FLAT IN THE RAIN. Luckily the Knightdale Enterprise took care of me and swapped me in to a new rental with 30min to close. I won't be coming back to the Raleigh Enterprise on Capital Boulevard and caution those who do. Edit: Adam, the supervisor for the area, called me to get the details and use it as a training opportunity.

    After I needed a car because a drunk driver ran over my 2 of my vehicles my insurance company sent me to enterprise. It all started off fine at first, and then went downhill, and downhill fast. I started off with a Chrysler Sebring, but it had a couple of things wrong with it, and I swapped it out for a Dodge Avenger. (Dodge's are great, but this car had waay to many blind spots) Apparently that is where somebody screwed up, when I swapped out cars. When I switched cars, somebody stuck in the system that I returned both cars the same day, but I didn't know that until later. One morning at 9:30 AM I received a phone call. I was asked when I turned in the rental car. I told them that I didn't remember when I turned in the first one, but I still had the second one. Then the guy said to those in the background "I found it!" The guy told me that they had been looking for the car for a couple of weeks. While on the phone I was told that since somebody had screwed up on their end, they needed to fix the contract. I asked him if he needed the car back, and he said "No." That was lie #1. I informed him that I was busy, and he agreed that he would call me back in 2 hours. That was lie #2. While I was out driving around the rental company showed up to where I was to repo the car at 11:30 AM. They said that they needed the car back right then, and that I had been in the car over 30 days (lie #3) and the insurance company was not going to pay for it any longer. That was lie #4. The rental agent said that in order for me to keep driving a rental, I would have to pay for it out of packet (lie #5) At that point I was perplexed and didn't know what was going on, so I got on the phone to my insurance agent and put him on speaker phone. My agent was wondering why they would just repo the car and not call anybody. The rental car person said "We don't call the insurance company. My insurance agents response was "You are lying!, I know you call insurance companies." So the lie count is now up to 6. I was told that if I didn't hurry up and move out of the drivers seat that they would leave me standing there and not give me a ride to the office. They would let me drive the vehicle another foot, or even get my stuff out of the vehicle. My insurance agent told me to just ride back with them to the office while things got sorted out. So once we got back to the office the one guy said he would give me a ride home (yet no mention about my stuff in the car). I said I wasn't going anywhere until my insurance company said so. So after I reached the insurance agent, and tey talked with the rental company, then the rental company decided to change their tune. I was not in the car over 30 days, the rental agency had double billed the insurance company for some time (see lie #3). The insurance company was also going to keep paying for the rental (see lie #4) as they had my claim still open. So I was upset because the rental company lied to me, and screwed up my day, and I let them know it, and I called them a liar, quite a few times. The branch manager tried to pass it off as no big deal. She said "Haven't you ever made a mistake?" What kind of an excuse is that for you try to pass the blame to your customer, and downplay your mistake? Plus they messed up my lunch time, and wasted my gas when they drove it, and I was supposed to meet somebody and that screwed up both of our plans. The manager said that I was not cutting them a break and trying to work with them, and I was like I didn't have to give them a break. They really screwed up, and needed to own up to their mistake. I ended up getting 3/8 tank of gas, lunch, and what they considered an upgraded rental all at their expense. (See lie #5). The branch at that point wanted to be nice, and kept asking if I was happy. It is hard to be nice when you are upset, and I was not going to cut them a break, after all, they screwed up, not me. Bottom line is, this branch needs to learn how to better communicate with their customers, and not to lie to them. There were a couple of more lies that they said, but no need to totally call them out. (Me giving them a break.) Not sure if I would ever rent from them again if I had to pay for it out of pocket. My insurance company said that if need be, in the future they would rent from Hertz to avoid issues like this.
