Had a genuinely great experience with this Enterprise location. I was renting a car while my own vehicle was in the shop, and the entire process was the model of efficiency. No pressure, no awkward insurance upselling, no time-wasting -- just quick, professional service. What really impressed me was what happened when my car repair finished earlier than expected. I was technically a couple of hours into the second rental day when the shop called and said my car was ready. I called Enterprise to ask whether I'd be charged for the full second day. Without hesitation, they told me to bring it in -- and didn't charge me for the second day at all, even though I was already into it. No hassle, no fine print. They also drove me to pick up my own car, which was very appreciated. The SUV I was given was in excellent condition -- clean and comfortable. To start with, the Wagoneer SUV was dirty inside, and the gas tank not full, but we were willing to overlook all that because we had firm plans and could not postpone our trip. When they were deciding which car to give us the two employees started a whispering to each other. After we got the vehicle and while loading the trunk with our luggage, I NOTICED A LARGE DING ON THE REAR GATE AND TOOK A PICTURE OF IT. It was a good move because they tried to charge us for the damage when we returned the vehicle. This time there was only one guy running the place and there was a long line of people waiting for cars to be returned by previous renters so they get their reserved car. Long time enterprise customer but the San Ramon location in particular has been worst experiences. Never the vehicle that was reserved ahead of time available. most recently the manager" was very aggressive in trying to sell me insurance, he stated "quickest to file a claim" I have my own insurance and have never had an incident in 50 years of driving-impeccable record. I made mistake of not checking vehicle specifically under the grill in nor did I see the manager do the walk-through and look under the grill proior to my I driving away with it. We visited Danville for two days and parked in a private gated home with little use of the vehicle . when we return the vehicle, the " manager , Vincenzo" pointed out that he went under the grill and found damage. I was completely shocked as we had not had any incident nor parked anywhere where this would've happened I deeply believe that this happened prior to our renting the vehicle and enterprise or the staff has either made a mistake or found a way to pass it on to the next client. They did not have the vehicle that I had booked in advanced and was given no other choice than a tiny little car to put my elderly husband in or a bigger vehicle. We chose the bigger more expensive out-of-pocket. Due to my lack of not looking under the grill and doing the walk-through properly as I trusted stupidly, the ownership at this point is on me . I asked the "managerVincenzo" what the cost would be as I would like to pay out-of-pocket but he cannot give me the cost. He insists on my policy number from my insurance company, and I told him that if I could pay for this out-of-pocket, I'd rather do it that way, but he said they still need to put it through the insurance company even if I paid out-of-pocket so this leaves me with the feeling of they really just want to charge whatever they can and whatever they want. they have yet to send me a simple picture from their phone of the "damage" and at this point it's too late to send it since they should've sent it the day it happened. This is not yet been resolved. I am waiting for a call from someone who can tell me the cost in the meantime, the "manager Vinenzo" wanted to argue with me. I was trusting when I rented the vehicle. I no longer trust them. All I'm asking is that they call me with the dollar amount to fix it? Why do they want my policy number? If I'm going to pay out-of-pocket and why they cannot send me a picture of the so-called damage the damage that was undetected to anyone who looked at the vehicle and myself. This particular location is so poorly ran the last three times I have pre-rented a vehicle. They never have the vehicle on hand and they give you something far different . Whenever I come here after reserving a specific vehicle category, they never have that category available. Instead, they always offer a Ford Expedition or a Jeep Wagoneer -- it's the same story every time. I don't want those vehicles, which is exactly why I make a reservation in advance. They told us they have added an insurance to our car and said all is good and gave us back our credit card but when we got into an accident and reported it, we were shocked to be told that we do not have an insurance. First this location called me to make reservations because my insurance sent enterprise a rental request about my collision repair. They compromised they can give me a ride from the repairing shop in Dublin when reservation was made on phone. When I called on the drop off morning, I waited 15 minutes on the line. Then the guys told me that the information I received was incorrect. He told me to have the body shop arrange pick up from Pleasanton location. No body could come pick up from San Ramon. My reserved rental was in San Ramon. The customer service at this location just unacceptable. I needed to Uber myself to this location for pickup because Pleasanton doesn't have anything that I requested available. read more

Do Not Rent from San Ramon Enterprise I rented an SUV for four days and returned it in pristine condition. Shortly after, I received a call from Enterprise San Ramon informing me of damage on the passenger side. During the initial walk-through with the Enterprise representative, no damages were noted. I only discovered the damage myself five minutes after leaving the rental location. I requested proof of the vehicle's condition before my rental, as they claimed to have surveillance cameras. However, after two weeks of inquiries, Enterprise has informed me that they do not have any video footage of the SUV prior to my rental. I have denied any liability for the pre-existing damages. My lawyer sent a demand letter to Enterprise, which they ignored. Now they have sent me to a collection agency for over $3k in repairs. read more

As a previously faithful customer to this San Ramon site, I am appalled by the dishonesty and unprofessionalism at this San Ramon site which took place On October 11th. I had a reservation for 1PM and arrived 25 minutes early for pick up. Not only did they not have a car for me despite my reservation for a car, they offered me a 12-15 passenger vehicle which is all they had. Apparently a reservation means nothing at the San Ramon site. The manager then sent me to the Enterprise site in Pleasanton. He stated, "They close in 13 minutes." I expressed my concern that I would not make it in time from San Ramon to Pleasanton off of California Street. The manager replied, " I just called them and they know you are coming." When I arrived at the Pleasanton Enterprise on California Street, they were closed, no one was there waiting for me. I have never been the recipient of such dishonestly unprofessionalism. Just rented a full size SUV this morning. Let me start with.... I'm very abrupt and I don't take BS..... My wife made reservations over a month ago for a full size SUV... When I got there, I could tell that there were not many vehicle's there and the only full size SUV was a Jeep Wagoneer. Unfortunately I watched another customer drive off with. I should have gotten there ten minutes earlier. This SUV is big. Bridget help me and she said that I would be getting a Nissan pathfinder???? We verbally went back and forth with me saying that a Pathfinder is a mid size SUV and she stated that it is a crossover SUV with three row seats. The a*#h"le started coming out of me when I stated that it's a mid size SUV with 3 Rows and the only people who could fit back there comfortably is kids or people under 5' tall. Bridget, (God bless her for tolerating me) After a few more choice words by me, she immediately went inside, talked to her manager and got me another Jeep Wagoneer. Granted, I had to wait 2 hrs for it to be delivered. I'm giving Bridget 5 Stars for staying professional and curious the whole time dealing with me. I made a reservation for a full size SUV in San Ramon a month prior to needing it. I even called a week earlier and spoke to the mgr Nathan to confirm. I received a vm from Nathan an hour before my pick up time that no full size SUV was available. Unfortunately, I missed the call and showed up anyway. Nathan offered to give me 2 cars for the price of one and made several calls to other enterprises in the area but nothing was available and we needed a full size SUV. If I wanted two cars I would have rented two cars. We decided to call enterprise and made a reservation for the Pleasanton location. When we got there they told us they didn't have one available. I believe we called a call center who obviously does not have a real time inventory of the cars at the locations. The system is broken. I have rented from Enterprise for the last 10yrs but obviously their communication and service has gone downhill. Why would the manager in San Ramon confirm the SUV a week prior to only tell me nothing was available. Additionally, why would the call center make a reservation in Pleasanton to only find out they didn't have a full size SUV. Luckily when we got to Pleasanton the person at the front desk Mike, asked his manager if he had anything available. There was a Ford Explorer in the lot that we were able to rent. Sadly, what was once a great company has somehow lost its great customer service. Enterprise use to be the gold standard. I will be renting from another rental place in the future. I see a lot of apologizes on Yelp from Enterprise management. If it wasn't for Mike K. in Pleasanton we would have not gotten a full size SUV. Mike K. was very professional and was eager to help. Noticed that the reviews are mixed on this YELP page as this one will be too. THE GOOD; 1) Waiting for my vehicle to be repaired - I rented a car from Enterprise in San Ramon CA for over two weeks and thankfully had no mechanical issues. The staff specifically Mgr Kaitlan was friendly and helpful however the negative issues far outweighed the positive. 2) Enterprise picked me up at the body shop (about a mile away) and brought me to their facility where we completed the paperwork. THE BAD: 1) Vehicle reeked with cigarette smoke which had obviously tried to be masked with an awful spray which was unbearable. 2) Was completely out of gas (not even one bar) and was instructed to return it that way however no telling if it may run out of fuel simply trying to get to a pump? It should definitely had been at LEAST at one bar. 3) Completely filthy couldn't even see out of the front or rear windows so obviously had not been through a car wash or even a spray down. 5) It appears that this car was basically dropped off from the last client having not been detailed and not attended to as it should have been. If I had the time to come back in to trade them for another vehicle (if there was even one available) like most of you - I DIDN'T have that kind of time to spend on what should have been done correctly in the first place. The car rental business is a tough competitive one however as a mgr or district manager I would have been embarrassed to provide a car in that type of condition given that I had rented from them many times previously. Had a reservation for a full sized car at 12:00 PM. I was running late, but received a phone call at 12:55 asking if I was still coming. I said I would be there in 10-15 minutes. I arrive 10 minutes later and was told they only had a compact sedan (Mitsubishi mirage). I was then told they had a full size SUV for more money. If they didn't have a full size car why not tell me that when they called. I have rented from other enterprise facilities and when they don't have the vehicle I reserved I have been given upper level rental categories at no up charge. I had a rental car for four months due to car repairs. I returned car today. Walked in and waited a few minutes for someone to help me. Told them i was returning car and needed a ride back to repair shop about 1 mile away. The young lady walked outside to check car and Reparked the car. I go to walk back inside with her and she said sorry we are closed. There is no one to give you a ride. I asked if anyone left could drop me off about 3-5 minutes away. She checked and said no and locked the door. Left me standing in front waiting for an Uber for 25 minutes so far. Poor service considering how much they made off of my car rental. These guys are great! I made a last minute reservation on a 3 day holiday weekend and they came through! I got a fully loaded Nissan Altima which got us to SoCal in a half tank of gas! I've used them in the past for an auto recall and they have been great. The cars that we have received were very good and if we had to switch due to a scheduled oil change, no problem. I will never rent at this place again. Called and made a reservation for a luxury sedan. When I arrived, they said my reservation was for a premium suv and they didn't have any sedans. Fine, as I had no choice. I got a Chevy Tahoe/. The manager, Nate, was very nice. Now, the other employee, Aaron (sp?) needs an attitude adjustment. It was busy but he was downright rude. Nate asked him to spray down my rental and he slammed down the handheld. Stomped out of the store. Came back and told me "come here" as to follow him to the car. Gas was only at 1/8 tank! I asked him why they washed the car but didn't dry it and he said "yeah we don't do that." Has me sign a couple of things and handed me the keys w/o a word. I went back and asked how to release the emergency brake and he said "with these, you just need to look around in the car." Really!? I always use San Ramon Enterprise for my traveling needs. This time was a bit different though. I was in a very traumatic car accident and needed a long-term rental. Vincent was the person who took care of me. he asked me what kind of car I had, and ensured he could find me something similar. I told him it was a big deal for me to have a good sound system since I spend a lot of time in the car. I had 2022 Rav 4 XSE Hybrid and he ended up putting me in a Mazda CX5 which had an amazing Bose sound system. He made sure I was comfortable getting in the car and driving the car before he let me drive off, considering I had just been in an extreme car accident- thank you for that Vincent! When I went to return the car the person who checked me back in was also so incredibly kind I wish I knew his name but my rental agreement was #1WJM3T and I returned the car on September 14,2023. Every time I go into this location they are so friendly I swear. When I walked into the location a few weeks later to return the car the staff were all asking how I was doing and said I looked like I was healing nicely which was so sweet of them. Also honorable mention- Anthony picked me up from my house the day of the rental and he was the one to take me back home the day I returned the car. Anthony was so empathetic to my situation and was so kind and personable during both car rides. Oddly enough my medical care facility from the accident is in the same parking lot as Enterprise, and a few times I've been in the parking lot they have recognized me, said hello and gave me a hand shake (Great customer service!) One of my close friends is a DM for Enterprise and I made sure to give all credit where credit is due to all the staff here. I meant to post this review about a month ago and I forgot about it so I hope it is not too late to do them some good. We rented a car in January 2022 from Enterprise to drive while my stepson went through State Farm's claims process after someone rear-ended him and totaled his car. We had the car for about a week and then got a call asking when we were going to return it. I told them we would return it whenever State Farm settled the claim and I hadn't heard from them. Turns out State Farm stops paying for the rental car when their insured [me] agrees to the terms of the payoff for the totaled car and not when we actually receive the settlement, which SF did not tell us. So we wound up having the rental car for a few more days than SF was going to pay for but Enterprise waived the additional fees do we didn't owe them anything. In February we needed a car for a road trip to Clovis to pick up the replacement for the destroyed car. The manager, Demetrius, I am probably spelling his name wrong, told us we could return the car on the weekend and put the key in the lockbox even though Enterprise does not officially allow that any longer. This helped us out because we did not have to pay for another day or take the rental car further away to avoid paying for another day. So Demetrius and his crew at Enterprise San Ramon are very helpful and if you need to rent a car I recommend you rent it from them. read more

I was in a car accident where insurance provided a car through enterprise. I called as recommended to confirm the registration and enterprise called me twice to confirm the reservation and the fact I wanted to be picked up at 9:15 in the days leading up to the reservation. I called at 9:15 to confirm they were on their way and I was told they were on the way and he would call back to confirm eta. 10 Minutes passed they called the auto body shop to ask for my information and indicate they were 15 minutes away. The 15 minutes passed and I call again and they indicate that the drive left 10 minutes ago and is on his way. Very disappointed in their organization. Customer service needs to understand that the truth while unpleasant is much better than lying to the customer. BTW distance between enterprise and body shop is 10 minutes. read more

Not a fan of my experience here. I have rented cars in areas that snow during the winter (not from enterprise) and I always had a windshield scrapper/brush in the car. However this one did not and we were between several storms so I had to purchase one. Also, they gave me a car with a half a tank of gas, so I had to estimate my fuel usage in an attempt to return it with half a tank. VERY ANNOYING and caused me more trips to the gas station than necessary, however I ended up giving them 1/4 a tank of gas and I was told there was nothing they could do. I picked up my rental this morning to drive up to Redding for a business trip. On the way up I couldn't figure out why the car smelled like marijuana. It was extremely pungent so I started looking and found something left from the previous customer in the center console. I wish I would have took a better look inside but figured the cleaners would have found this immediately when the car was previously checked in! I wrote to care@enterprise.com, as recommended. The response was disappointing, to say the least. I was promised that someone in the regional management level will fix this and ask the branch to call me. I got a call today from the branch. They once again promised to send me an email right after our call, and once again, no email was sent. Because that has happened before, I asked them to stay on the line while I get an email, and they said they couldn't do that but will call me right after in 5 minutes to confirm that I got an email from them. They did not call me back. I did not even get an acknowledgment (forget an apology!) for the lying or the gaslighting. They promised me a refund (but as in 1 above) would not confirm it in writing. They think this is about the money, but it is not. This is about acknowledging that they lied to me and tried to gaslight me and apologizing for it and showing me basic respect as a human being. None of that happened. I am very disappointed in the follow up. It seemed like this was done to check some box that leadership requested them to check, rather than with any kind of actual intention of fixing this. Enterprise really does not care. read more

Even when it was about to be closing time they assisted me. And even stayed late for me. Just a heads up If you don't have car insurance you have to use a credit card . I didn't know this and gave the guys a hard time and they still helped me out with big smiles .
