Very poor communication. I was told I would have a car ready by 9:00am. When I arrived they told me they won't have one available until 4:30pm. They told me they would call me and haven't received a call yet. I tried calling but no one picked up the phone. I wasn't aware of how terrible the service at this location is. I enjoy rental with Enterprise but they need to remove the lady with the dry voice. My return time was 0900. I returned it at 0934. She gonna tell me that my deposit was $272 because I arrived over an hour. On Thursday I did indeed picked it up at 0815 with a return for Sunday at 0900. I followed that. She said well you came at 0815. Okay well rather opened at 0900 am or not they should had put return for Sunday 0815. She repeated about me picking up the car on Thursday at 0815 and they said not sure if you understand that. I told her to not talk to me like a child and that I went off what the return time was. I did arrive after 0900. Her voice was dry like she just woke up and arrived at work with soak and wet hair. She act like she really did a favor for me to return my $300 deposit when the return time did indeed say 0900 and I arrived at 0934 on a Sunday. They aren't even busy on Sundays when they open up most of the times. The gentlemen there are always awesome and work with me all the time. Even if I'm an hour late. I've been coming there since I move here in 2024. I never had this problem. She need to move with corporate so she can work 24/7 she acted like Enterprise was all she has in her life. I'll be going to other enterprises until I desperately need a car from Enterprise Skokie Blvd. I refuse to rent at a place that's talks down to me like I'm an idiot and don't know how to read. Some people really don't need to work with people. She needs communication skills. She'd be better off working with ICE. No emotions or remorse for her acknowledgment that she was incorrect. My return time said 0900 not 0815. I've been an Enterprise renter for over 11 years and I've never felt insulted from them like this before. She has to have a relative that work there. This is exciting because it happened last Tuesday. It was the same day I picked up my cat from the taxidermist. His name was Cowboy because he was America's cat lol. I went to bed the Monday before and I was pretty groggy waking up around 11. I was pretty sure I had taken the correct medicatios. I was walking on Skokie to get lunch at Taco Bell. The people behind the counter were friendly and kind even when I asked about the guacamole specials. I didn't notice the Taco Bell menu or any signage but I thought that was just the medicine. Ten minutes later instead of a huge meal I walked out with keys to a sedan with a nice interior lol. Turns out Taco Bell was next door and the only drive thru was available so it turned out I did need a car!?! I had a great day and picked up Cowboy and returned the blue sedan the next day. I have to say that the good people at Enterprise saved the day. They turned a sad day into a bizarre miracle. The insurance sent my dad to the Entrpise Skokie location for the rental. The lady at Enterprise kept saying that My dad cannot use his insurance and he need to buy separate insurance for the rental car. She gave him 2 options for insurance either full coverage $16/day or less coverage $13. She insisted that he CANNOT use his car's insurance. Then I told her I don't the car and will call the insurance to send me to another location, all of a sudden she changed her word and said oh yea, you can use your insurance. I rented a car from this place for the period 9/23/24 to 10/8/24 and this wasn't the first time I rent a car through enterprise every time I was renting a car I will add the plate number to my I-pass account as a rental and never had a problem but this time after a week I realize that there is no tolls is deducted from my account at the end of the rental I started getting emails from enterprise that I have to pay tolls and citations because some how Illinois I-pass didn't get the amount from my I-pass account instead they sent all the tolls and the citations to enterprise . I called enterprise customer service 3 times to resolve this issue and enterprise customer service did absolutely nothing.because I believe that I-pass didn't get all the tolls from my account because the plates was Az plates. Which this was the enterprise agent job to explain everything to the customer which is me before they hand me a car with an Arizona plate so I ended up paying for someone else's mistake. read more

They lie on the phone and despite MULTIPLE people hearing their employees misinform us, the individual who was not at ALL helpful, told us that there is no way someone would say that-- clearly they did. People make mistakes. It's okay, to say your coworker messed up, and instead he was short, rude and totally unaccommodating. This location is doing a deplorable job of handling customer service. Racist staff members hide behind privacy screens as they look for reasons to not rent to minorities. The first location I was sent to via email and phone communication was the wrong location, and it was actually closed down completely. I had to take two ubers to get to the correct location, and then had to wait over an hour to be told that I couldn't take a car with a debit card because my license had a different address than my billing, even though the DMV is closed during quarantine, and I just moved across the street from my old address, and I have documentation of my accounts and addresses. I was in a bad car accident the night before and needed a rental ASAP while my car gets fixed. I'm an essential worker so not having a car is not an option due to the distance between work and home. I was able to find a rental and pick up the next day (most places were closed or difficult to rent through due to covid). Julia was super friendly and helped me get into the car I wanted quickly. I rent from enterprise a lot, so when I arrived at this location I expected the usual great service I usually get from Enterprise, but oh no not on this occasion, upon arrival they did not have the car I had booked, so they offered me a mini van instead, now in my world an SUV which I had booked and a mini van are worlds apart, anyway the very drab and uninterested employee told me they gave my car away and there was nothing else available, I ended up getting a GMC SUV which was awful, it stank really bad of cigarette smoke, the guy said that it was an ex lease car, it had 40,000 miles on it and it was all they had, so I had to take it. My first stop was a store down the street where I bought a box of dryer sheets which I put under all the seats and several cans of febreeze which I sprayed all over the car, Next day I got up from my hotel and opened the car door and all I could smell was the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke, I examined the vehicle, the healiner was brown, above the drivers seat stained with cigarette smokedliner but it still stank, then when I filled it up at a gas station, all I could smell was cigarette smoke, then I looked and the entire window by the gas filler was brown stained with nicotine. I had the car for 5 days and I hated getting into it, no matter how much febreeeze or how many dryer sheets I put in it, I couldn't et rid of the overwhelming stench of cigarette smoke, now I am a non smoker, when I returned the car they charged me $280 for smoking in the car cleaning fee, I don't smoke but they refused to refund the cleaning fee, not recommended by a long way. read more

We arrive and check in. Are told the rate. Then we asked about the discount. Oh you have to make that reservation through Costco. Ok. Can you just make a new reservation with a better rate? They're remarkably unprofessional from the manager down, unreliable, and do not take responsibility for problems in their service. I reserved a vehicle for pickup and was told by customer service that a pickup would be available in the morning, that this was to be arranged by dialing the office front desk on the day of the rental and that the pickup location was fine due to proximity. Every small bump in the road, you can feel inside. We booked for full size car. They gave us Chevy 200 which is mid size car and they claimed that it was full size car.
