My first experience renting a car was a nightmare. I had a car accident where a driver totaled my vehicle. I rented a car from enterprise. i used my insurance to protect the car. long story short when I returned the car I was falsley accused of damaging the bumper. The manager was rude, and condacending. There was nothing wrong with it, nothing! They stole $685 from my credit card that night. I spent three months going back and forth with their "recovery unit" they actually admitted to me that even with the "repair" , they owed me a $385 refund. 6 weeks later i got a check in the mail for $102 my credit card co has tried to work with them. They refused to provide documents proving they actually did a repair. Buyer beware! this rental place is not to be trusted!! further the theft of the $685 was theft because I have a $500 deductible on my insurance so the maximum they could have charged was $500 and only after their recovery unit provided me with a bill. Worst experience of my life. I will never use Enterpise again! read more

Be careful with this Enterprise, they charged two of my credit cards telling me initially one did not work so they will use your credit card as they choose to charge whatever they want. Also, when I got the rental I was not informed that the rental is not covered fully and they charged me $400 without my knowledge. The absolute worst experience I've ever had. If I could give them no stars I would. The management at this location is very unprofessional. Not A customer first mindset, is not a priority, they act as if they are not available even though they're in the building. They refuse to take customers serious they blame everything on the 800 number. Even though they're the same company. They have people come in to pick up cars even though they don't have availability. With the intentions to upsell And increased frustration for the customer. When you tell them that you're going to call the 800 number to make a complaint, they are not moved they said the car will just go back to them and they'll be the one calling you. I don't think in a price understands that they have stiff competition and there's other locations that you can rent from. By far the worst experience I've ever had. read more

I used this location while my car was being serviced.  From the beginning process of reserving, picking up and dropping off the vehicle, there were no issues.  The customer service was outstanding from the entire staff at this location.  I worked with Jake and Ronny who were very professional and had a "Can Do Attitude." I had to change my vehicle rental, and they handled the problems.  The price of the rental was consistent with other rental locations and the rental vehicle was clean with no problems. The entire staff just made renting a vehicle easy.  They picked me up at my house and after the rental drop off offered to take me home.  While dropping off my rental vehicle, I heard another customer tell the staff positive accolades about his vehicle rental.  I will use the Upland Enterprise for any future vehicle rentals. read more

I had been in a Enterprise rental car for 3 years straight for my work. I cannot begin to tell you how much this office has taken care of me! Every single person that works in this office has been wonderful to deal with. The past year or so, the assistant branch manager, Gabby, has gone above and beyond to help me out when I needed it. I had left some items in a truck I had previously returned and she tracked the items down for me and made sure I personally got them back. Another time, I needed a particular truck and she came through and got it for me. Gabby, along with the rest of the crew, are fantastic people and they have earned a customer for life. WARNING this location has a treacherous manager named JACOB who yells and threatens women and he makes UNAUTHORIZED TRANSACTIONS! I dropped off the vehicle the day which was stated on my contract and he calls me 5x on anonymous number and screams at me, insults me and said that going to charge me all of these ridiculous fees and claims damages to the vehicle but, refused to send any pictures or documentation. I felt something was not right so I shut off that card and thank goodness I did because he tried to charge my card 3 TIMES! I said if there was anything wrong with the vechicle I would pay it just want to see my invoice and pictures of the damages and he refused! I have been to enterprise plenty of times and every other branch I have been to almost instantly after returning the vehicle I received my invoice! The next day he had an employee call me having her say that my insurance was only good for the contract period and if I dont give them $738 by noon they will send me to collections and I should "watch my back". I asked to speak to Jacob and she said he wouldn't speak to me and hung up. I am like what the heck is this a car rental place or a cartel demanding money "or else". Also, I read I have the right to chose to go through my insurance or pay out of pocket. So how is it that in less then 24 hours my insurance was contacted on my behalf? Reading the comments I am not the only one with this horrific threatening scam experience with Jacob. It seems he likes to target women which is sad. There is no organization what so ever. When I walked in there were many people complaining about the wait. I figured because I have an reservation I would be in and out. I waited for 45 minutes and I was late for work. What made me more angry, is that my insurance confirmed the reservation and the car, enterprise called me to confirm the reservation but they didn't not mention they have any vechiles for me. When I was in an accident a few years ago enterprise gave me a great deal on a car as I didn't have coverage for a rental in my insurance. When I asked the guy about the great deal I was getting he explained that they understood my situation and wanted me as a customer if I needed to rent a car any other time. Please be aware this place!!!!! They will hit you with charges for dents that you do not put on the car. This company probably pins it on any elderly person possible that they believe they can rob. You guys are thief's and should be ashamed. My grandma checked out a car and if I was there I would of checked the car out before and she's not able to see these types of things and I didn't even see the dent in this car until you tilt your head at a angle! (This is my husbands account I'm writing this review with.) Terrible first experience. The first day was great, setting it up, the man who picked me up was friendly. I have a rental with Enterprise covered by my warranty for the car. I called my warranty place yesterday to verify 4 more days of rental and they said no problem, just contact Enterprise. So I called Enterprise right after and spoke at 1:18 in the Upland office to someone I wish I had gotten the name,. He said that it was not showing up but that HE would CALL my warranty people to verify. HE told me that if there were PROBLEMS he would CALL ME back. I never received a call so I assumed everything was fine. However, having the anxiety I do and needing to make sure everything is in right order I called this morning to ask about it and they said no, we have to bring it back tonight or incur more charges. But I explained to the supposed manager of the Upland store what his employee told me. The "manager" (I'm hoping he's not, he was completely rude) kept talking over me and repeating the same thing back instead of taking the time to understand what I was saying. I was too worked up and crying by the time I had to hand the phone to my husband to deal with it because this "manager" kept talking over me and being completely rude and telling me how it was my fault and not his employees. I've dealt with having my car in the shop for almost 3 weeks now, I was not looking forward to more stress from Enterprise who has supposed great customer service. He treated my husband the same way, but my husband (who handles clients on a day to day basis and actually has TERRIFIC customer service skills) brought him back down and told him to not interrupt him and actually take the time to listen to him. That where he works if an employee made a mistake that's on the employee and not the customer.WE should have received a phone call so I could contact my warranty place THAT NIGHT because they are closed over the weekend. I doubt I will have any problems with it getting covered, but this was a horrendous experience and, given my own money, I will NEVER deal with Enterprise again unless this mistake is corrected somehow. And the mistake was a communication problem that could greatly impact my already worn down wallet from having to pay the deductible for my car repair (and around my sons birthday and Christmas too). read more

I've been here multiple times and the customer service is always better than other rental places I've been to, headed by Luis the manager. The cars are (usually) in good condition, the wait time is minimal compared to other places, even when they're busy. No sneaky surprise charges. But I wouldn't bother writing a review for just that. I was recently reminded of something that happened a while back. One of the last times I was there, I was waiting for the shuttle to take me home, someone came in and said they had left something in a car they returned a few days ago. Luis the manager asked him what it was, and he said cash. Not a wallet, cash. In a money clip. He said the money didn't matter but the clip had sentimental value. I was laughing inside at this guy thinking he would get that back, and right then Luis went to a drawer and pulled out the money clip. Anyways, I always meant to give the staff props for that. I only wish they were a little cheaper, I haven't rented from there lately as they are the probably the most expensive rental place around. But you do get what you pay for. read more

People were friendly and efficient. The location is convenient. A bit too pushy about wanting to sell their own insurance, asking me about how much my deductible was, having to talk to the manager to see if Priceline insurance would be OK, and giving me a compact car when I reserved and paid for an intermediate car without any explanation. The convenience is great, but I find the insurance pushiness problematic. Left the place feeling like I had been in an unnecessary argument and with a feeling like they would find some scratch or bump when I returned the car (which they did not). read more

The people are friendly and seem to be in a pretty good mood, despite the fact that rental customers can be some of the nastiest people out there. I spoke with Nikita, Brian, Greg, and Desiree. No problems with any of them. I even left an item in the vehicle after returning it, and they didn't hesitate to help me retrieve it the following morning. The vehicle (a Hyundai Elantra) was in good (not stellar) condition. There were some coffee stains on the seats and some dings on the exterior. But it's a rental car. Get over yourselves, people. It did not exceed my expectations, but I was far from disappointed. I usually don't write reviews, but this place deserves more than ONE star. I scheduled a pick up for 1130 am on May 12 2022, for the Upland CA, location. I arrived on time and was told I would have a 1 hour wait and that there were "6" people in front of me. the assistant manager Gina said " it's always like this at noon, every day" I asked her why they don't staff up to meet the demand instead of leading people to believe we actually have a reservation at that time for pick up. She kept replying "we are always busy". I responded to her, it is not my problem, it is a process and throughput problem on their end. Enterprise certainly took my credit card and outlined the rules for my cancellation up front. Enterprise should tell us if the reservations are only a "window". At this point Gina ( who presented her self as manager but in reality is only an assistant manger) declined to "serve" me and refused me a rental car. When I asked for her manger she stated she was the manager, but her card says she's assistant manager. When I asked for a corporate number she informed me I could "google" it. She crossed her arms and refused to rent the vehicle to me that I had reserved for over a week. If I could give them a negative 5 stars I would do so. Extremely unprofessional, disorganized, ill equipped for the rentals they accepted reservations for., the lobby was full and people were wondering around the lot while another employee literally had the driveway blocked while she wiped down a wet vehicle presumably after washing it .... It is beyond understanding how they remain in business. read more

I rent cars several times a year for long trips. I have used other agencies and decided to try this location with Enterprise. Reserved everything online and although you can not request specific cars I contacted Matthew and requested a particular model days in advance. The night before pickup I contacted Mattew and checked with him as he was the one I contacted several times before. At closing time he advised me that the vehicle I wanted was in and I could pick it up in the morning. Upon arrival at opening I saw that he got in early to have the car washed and cleaned for me. It was immaculate and I could not have been happier. Spent just a few minutes with the paperwork and off I went without incident. Upon returning the vehicle, I was there for less than 5 minutes checking out and off I went with a ride home. I would definitely return to this location and deal with Matthew again for my rentals. Rented a car from the Enterprise in Murrieta Ca at 10:20 AM. Drove the car DIRECTLY to the Enterprise in Upland on Foothill and arrived around 12:30. Met the Manager Graciela Ortiz who said there was severe damage to the roof that was not noted on the paperwork from Murrieta so I would be responsible . I could not believe what I was hearing. So she assumed that between Murrieta and Upland I had damaged the roof. What the hell was she trying to pull. I admit I was very angry as anyone should be who being ripped off like this. The car was inspected in Murrieta by myself and 2 employees and none of us saw this "severe damage" that Ortiz is seeing. I went out to the vehicle with Ortiz and she says "If you look at it from a certain angle you can see the damage". SAY WHAT. If there this damage she claimed you should be able to see it from any angle.....I have pictures and video of the roof that I have forwarded to their corporate offices along with my complaint on Ortiz. But wait, it gets better. I had told them I needed a ride home but Ortiz told me that no one there wanted to give me a ride because I was angry. I told her I had a heart condition (which I have on tape) and walking home could be very dangerous. She could care less. So I had to walk 2 miles home. .....Ortiz told me they would be keeping my $300 deposit. Obviously I will be blocking this with my bank and I have called the Corporate Office and the Better Business Bureau. Both were shocked she made me walk home after hearing that I had a heart condition. Enterprise in Upland is a real con joint. Stay away....... read more

Awful experience with this location! I booked my car a week in advance yet when I showed up to the location I was checked in and asked to have a seat. After 20 minutes, I overheard staff talking about not having cars available. I asked about my car and was told they had none and I would have to wait until a customer returned a car, meanwhile they were calling other locations looking for cars. Why do you take a reservation and then have no cars. The employee tried to blame me saying I was a walk-in. No I clearly had a reservation. Unless Enterprise is going to pay me for my time wasted sitting there because of their disorganization, I am not waiting. I called Hertz at Ontario airport and booked a reservation. When I told Enterprise to cancel my reservation there because I refuse to wait, he informed me that all other car rentals were sold out, including the airport. I replied that their word didn't mean anything g to me and I would gladly take my chances. This is an absurd way to do business and I will NEVER go to this location again, and highly doubt I will use Enterprise either. Hertz has always provided timely and excellent service. I only went here because the body shop recommended. I made sure they knew about my terrible experience and hope they do t recommend them anymore either! * Update for readers: Enterprise responded to this review asking for me to email them. These guys are awesome. I went there and they were super busy yet they greeted me right when I came through the door and let me know they would be right with me. They ended up renting the car I was there for but ended up upgrading me to something I would have never rented and even let me keep it through the weekend at no charge since I couldn't make it Saturday by noon. Curtis was extremely friendly and this Mitch guy got me in and out of there when I dropped the car on Monday. A horrible experience for me and my wife at the Enterprise in Upland, CA. I rented a car through my insurance after getting hit by another vehicle in a hit and run. The transition was going smooth with getting the vehicle and I decided that I did not want to pay for their insurance because I was using the car for work and that's it. When I came to return the vehicle the woman that originally helped me was clearly avoiding me so I knew something was up. A scam was attempting to unfold as I was helped by another individual who truly did not help us in anyway. The common thing I see in this yelp thread is of course a door dent and that's what the worker (Mina) was saying I was at fault for. The worker then tried to reassure me that the door ding was bigger than the actual size, according to their evaluator. It was not and fit within that range, he said if we look at a certain angle under a certain light it is noticeable I said it wasn't. He created a claim and told me it could go away if I pay him $500. He mumbled some things under his breath after that but I'm not sure what he said. I told him no and said we did nothing wrong and a door ding was originally there when we got the car but the passenger door dent was to them a different one, they were trying to take advantage of a young couple who is just trying to return a vehicle that did not leave their house unless I was attending work. Which is gated and protected with security. My pregnant wife truly does not need this kind of stress or horrible mistreatment. A place were they scam to make a quick buck and I was of course one of the unlucky ones. read more
