The car was okay, Customer service seemed friendly at first. But we received a car with 15/16th of a gas tank. After checking out the car we went to the nearest gas station putting $20 worth of gas. We returned the car with a full tank and showed the receipt from the gas station. Enterprise did not want to give credit for the amount we paid. Finally after going back and forth we received $10 credit for gas. read more

I made a reservation through Expedia for a compact car for the week. Upon arrival to the location my reservation was made at, I noticed this location was closed. I call customer service (it is extremely hard to get through to an actual person, as the local branch numbers redirect you to the main call center) after a few minutes I was finally able to speak with someone at a nearby location, who told me "I'm really sorry I'm not sure what's going on with our site" She then told me I could go to the nearest open location for my rental. So I drive another 20 minutes out of the way and make it about 10 minutes after they close (noon) Luckily the woman I had spoken to went out of her way to use her personal cell to text another employee at this location to stay open for me! This was amazing customer service!! I did however take off that last star, because someone at corporate needs to sort out their booking! I now have to return this car almost an hour from where I am staying and They also took $380 as a "holding fee" for a rental that was only supposed to be $180 for the week, and I have to put another $200 down if I want to extend my rental. (Pretty big deterrent to extending my time if you ask me) read more

I do not recommend coming into this enterprise Sebastian Torres gave me my Rea tal and we did a walk around the car before I left and I POINTED out a some damaged not him and I even made sure to tell him so later they do t try to blame and he said ok I got it then week later I return my the rental cuz my car was ready to b picked up I dropped if the next day I get phone call from Sebastian that I had damaged on the rental so I tell him send me picture so he does then I tell him oh yeah it's the damage I pointed out that day he's like I don't recall I was like well when we did the walk around I pointed it out not him imagen how many they have floten screwed over like this he claimed it was my fault til I told him check the cameras witch he did he calls me back saying sorry you were right and I was wrong if I didn't do what I did I would been screwed over from Sebastian please guys keep your eyes open wouldn't wish this on any one read more

Unfortunately, I was involved in a hit and run in my brand new car. Soooo, my car is in the shop, and where do I have to pay a visit to? Enterprise! I reserved online and have a few questions as I've never reserved ahead of time. Customer service was extremely helpful. I stopped in and was leaving the lot in maybe ten minutes. The gentleman who checked me out was wonderful - wish I could remember his name! They got me a decent car, unlike Hertz (that's a different story for a different day) and I'll be rocking a new Altima for about a week. The price was decent as well. Have been using Enterprise quite a bit bc I lost my car. Went in to pick up a car, and forgot my mask. Had walked abt 30 mins to the location bc they were not available to pick up customers, and had a horrible experience. I was told I was "freakin out" askin the Enterprise colleague for an extra mask. After walkin 20 mins to go pick up a mask from a random gas station, I started to pay for my rental was told "I didnt need to act crazy, its a pandemic". Very disappointing statements from a customer focused business. I began to get upset and walked out. It was a 1 on 1 altercation, the Enterprise reps word versus mine. I will never use this brand, have already booked my next 2 rentals with National, but this branch has horrible management. I would recommend using any of the other Enterprise locations in this area. read more

Would give zero stars if available. I can't imagine that these positive reviews are about the same Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Wheeling Illinois that I was in today. I spent about two hours in their office, trying to rent a car that I reserved. The car that I rented is the most disgusting dirty car that I have ever seen. The interior is horribly stained and the bumper is coming apart. While renting the car I witnessed the worst customer service that I have ever seen, and I was also treated horribly. I rented a mid-size sedan. The only car that they had available was a Dodge Charger. I am very short, and I was unable to see out of the windows of that car. I asked if there was another sedan available and the "manager" Cameron, said no. Just as we were going back to the office, a customer pulled up to drop off a Camry, which would be the best replacement. I asked if I could have that car after it was checked in, and the manager said yes. We went back in the office and the manager proceeded to help a long line of customers for new rentals, and ignored the customer returning the Camry, and he also ignored me. After about 1/2 hour the customer returning the Camry left, with the car. So, I just waited. I then noticed that a Corolla was brought back, and I asked the Manager if I could have that. He said yes, then went out side and walked around the car to look for damage. He never changed my paperwork or looked inside of the car. I asked if I would be charged for the lesser car (two levels below the original car that I rented), He said that I would be charged for the car that I originally reserved, and would not receive a credit. I took the car because I had already waited about an hour and a half, and the office would be closing in 30 minutes. I drove the car for about two miles, and then noticed a large "ding" in the windshield. So, I called the office back, and asked that this be noted in the initial paperwork, in case the damage spread. I was told to bring the car back and they would look at it. I also asked if the Camry that I initially wanted was checked in yet. The manager said no. So, I went back to the office. While I was in there I noticed that the person was trying to return the Camry again. And again, the manager ignored the woman and ignored me. It was almost closing time, so she left without returning the car. All this manager had to do in the first place, was process the return for the Camry customer (less than 5 minutes), since he was already helping me ( I spent my 30 minutes in line, and it was my turn) and then let me rent it. In fact, he changed the paperwork and my rental record is for the Camry (but, I now have the disgusting Corolla). Bad decisions yield bad results. Enterprise has now permanently lost two customers for life. read more

This is not a conventional review, as I wasn't a direct paying consumer. However, I feel compelled to provide positive feedback on the people at this location. I was having car trouble, and as my car battery was winding down to die, I found myself in the parking lot in front of this Enterprise. I had used Enterprise before at several other locations, so I felt very comfortable approaching them for help. Ultimately, the entire office was warm and friendly, and offered to help me with my car by jumping it. When my battery wouldn't retain the charge, I ended up having to wait for over two hours for a tow truck. They allowed me to stay in the waiting room until my truck arrived. During those hours, I saw several customers come and go - and all were very satisfied with the customer service provided. It was a really pleasant atmosphere. read more

I would have to say that I am thoroughly happy with the staff and service at this location. While there were some minor glitches with a few of the vehicles the manager here has always been more than accommodating. I have rented at least once every 3 months roughly for business travel over the past few years and I wouldn't rent a vehicle elsewhere. They've always provided pickup/drop off service which is a welcome service if you don't want to leave your own vehicle there overnight. read more

I was in an accident earlier this year and unfortunately, my car was not drivable after the accident. I had to get into a rental right away in order to get around. I've worked in claims for years and was handling auto claims at the time of my accident, so I was familiar with the rental process in the event of an accident, particularly with Enterprise. I was at home when I called in the reservation and figured they would come pick me up and take me to the branch.... After all, the saying goes: pick enterprise, we'll pick you up. As luck would have it, they came and dropped off a car at my house (!!!!!!!!!!!!)! I was so impressed. They had all the paperwork ready for me on site and gave me an intermediate sized car. I was super impressed. When my car was repaired and I went to drop the rental off, the checkout process was so easy. They did a brief walk around off the car and didn't dock me that I returned the car with less gas than when I had received it. I was totally ready for a bill or something to come out of my deposit but nothing like that happened! I was so happy! Of course, one of their reps drove me home after I dropped my car off and made pleasant conversation the whole time. Friendly, affable staff who are cognizant of your situation and needs, who cater to what is convenient for you and give you a little leeway when it comes to accommodations? I have never had a problem with a car from an Enterprise until I rented one from this location. I was given a Toyota Yaris that smelled like a combination of spilled milk and cleaning supplies but it aired out well after a couple of days. After three days of driving maybe 50 miles the check engine light came on so I went to return the car. I was rear-ended on the way back. When I returned the car the gentleman at the front desk told me I didn't have to report my accident to my credit card company because the police report showed the other driver was 100% at fault, so her insurance would cover the bill. Due to that statement I didn't report the accident to my credit card company. I was then given a fiat with a broken seat-back but I didn't have it in me to return a car yet again so I worked on my abs by sitting up very straight. Yesterday I got a bill from Enterprise saying I owe them for all of the car damage. Arg. Why two stars? It is obviously very frustrating to have two faulty cars in a week and to be told incorrect information, but the guys who work there are really nice and I always love the free home pickups. I just think I will stick with companies with newer cars for awhile. read more

I was going to Louisville over the weekend, and its a long drive. i needed a car with 2 important features. good gas mileage and AUX IN to play songs from my phone. I had put these in special instructions. And this location made sure of it and gave me Nissan Altima S. Good Car and great mileage, staff was helpful and understanding. Although i had my friend pick me up after i drop the rental car, the staff was insisting to drop me to wherever i needed to go, i smiled and said, i've got it covered.. thanks. Had to get a one day rental when my car broke down and I had a pain free experience with my local Enterprise. I've had an issue with them in the past but this experience was really painless. I was picked up on time, the transactions were easy and I was able to leave for my destination quickly. Returning was also easy and I was able to be dropped back home (which I'm not sure is part of their pick up policy). This place was great. My car broke down and they picked me up within 10 minutes, I was really impressed. They didnt have many cars to choose from but I was pretty desperate so I didn't mind too much. Everyone was so super friendly and helpful that I think they either brainwash their employees or they work off commission. :) I recommend calling them if your car breaks down or if you have to take it into the shop. read more

I had to get a rental because my car is going to be in the shop for a week or more. The manager picked me up and then told me about my $30/day voucher from my insurance. I told her that I was okay with a sedan. It was snowing pretty badly today and she helped me get an SUV, where I would only have to pay the tax. I appreciated the gesture, because this whole hit-and-run has been burning a hole in my wallet. The Dodge Journey is awesome and I actually would like one when I trade in my car someday. read more

Enterprise sent us two bills in the mail - one for a $0.75 ipass charge and another for a $17 administrative fee to pay that $0.75 charge. I wasn't aware that it cost so much to pay a bill! Maybe they could save money by not sending worthless paper bills for $.75! No one at Enterprise ever even offered the option to rent an ipass while using the car. I guess we're just supposed to think of that on our own. This complaint is really meant for enterprise headquarters, not the wheeling location specifically, that's just where we rented the car from. read more

I rent vehicles all over the United States and I am happy to report that some of the best service I receive comes from this location, they are always very busy but that does not affect the way they treat their customers. Time is very important to me and it's nice to rent from a location that understands how valuable your time is, they get you in and out very quickly. I've used this location on a few occasions. They have always been very professional and courteous. I recently booked a mini van for a family vacation with six passengers thinking this would be large enough for us and our luggage. I requested a roof rack; however, they were not able to guarantee a roof rack on the mini van. When I arrived they were very accommodating and offered an alternative vehicle that had a roof rack and was more comfortable than a mini van. I couldn't have been happier that they offered this arrangement because it worked out great! Thank you! read more

I use this location frequently, particularly Sept-April when they have their weekend specials. I live in the city but spend a lot of time in the suburbs. It doesn't make sense for me to have a car in the city, but I do need a car on the weekends. The staff here knows me by name and takes a vested interest in making sure I have a positive experience. Check in and return process is fast and easy. The cars have always been cleaned and seemingly well maintained. Weekend specials are amazing. Staff is professional and courteous.
