    They were accommodating and fast. When I took a vehicle out on a daily rate and took it for longer they gave me a retroactive weekly rate.

However, this tiny location is a small franchise inside the highland park ford dealership. After reading the horrible reviews of this location, this now makes sense. The Chicago Avis location called me this morning (1 hour away) to say the car I reserved in Highland park was now there. I have no idea how a reservation I made in highland park ended up transferring to Chicago without my knowledge or request. I then immediately called highland park Avis to confirm my reservation and an angry desk clerk named Oscar answered, claiming I never had a reservation there (as I was looking at my confirmed reservation.. see picture) screamed at me hysterically refusing to help and hung up on me. So, I called back again and screamed and hung up on me again and all this was even before the location even opened. But it doesn't matter, he should've tried to help locate another large SUV since it was Oscar who canceled and transferred my reservation I had for over a month. I never knew that this could happen. But, before he hung up on me, I offered to send him a screenshot of my confirmed reservation and he refused to let me, so here it is on Yelp. Maybe somebody at Avis corporate will actually care and reach out to me. I was shocked at his unhinged response because he was the one who changed my reservation without my permission. I had planned to drive my son to school and now I have drive an hour away downtown Chicago (during the riots) to pick up a car and then wait in line for another 45 minutes. Oscar encouraged me to contact Avis corporate to file a complaint against him, as clearly this egomaniac angry desk clerk either did not see his job as a threat or he just hates his job and hopes to be fired. Someone who actually likes their job would do everything they could to help others. This clearly was not the case. I would like to point out how wonderful all the people (namely Yvette) were at Avis at 214 N. Clark St. in Chicago in trying their best to help me locate another car closer to me. Unfortunately there were none and I still had to go to Chicago but at least she tried to help.

As you know, Apple Pay changes the last 4 of the card. The clerk tries to finish the transaction and pay the balance using my PHYSICAL CARDS because they don't have tap to pay to finish the transaction. Since the apple pay numbers differ from the physical card (even though they're the same card), it declined & he did it so many times instead of calling his boss for help that it "flagged me" in the system and they couldn't rent to me for "security reasons". this was THEIR MISTAKE. i asked if i could cancel the reservation and rebook with a different, physical card so that it could be swiped at the machine & they said no. they said my name is flagged now bc it was declined bc they weren't aware of their inability to complete apple pay transactions. now it's the weekend, all rental places are closed & im stranded because of these imbeciles that work here. i call their manager and the fucker hangs up on me & instead of being apologetic for THEIR MISTAKES texts me smiley faces. absolutely stay away from Muhammad, the owner, and his employee who doesn't know how to do his job. shit ass company ran by a shit ass man.

The agent confirmed that there was pickup from Libertyville to Lincolnshire to meet my need which was pressing. Information was given. The reservation was confirmed with the statement that the pickup driver would call shortly in advance of pickup. The agent sent a confirming calendar text. This was all set for a 1:30 p.m. pickup. At 1:45 p.m. I called to find out why I had no call or pickup. The person answering the phone said that the pickup was not in the 'notes', but that there would be a pickup shortly. Asking what 'shortly' meant, the agent said immediately. Shortly, the agent called to say they could not pickup due to the fact that it exceeded their zone (by a bit). I asked what the discrepancy was: they were showing a 15-minute drive, not 10. Doing the math, this was an extra 10 minutes of driving. I asked to speak to a manager. One definition of a manager is someone who has the authority to approve actions that may differ from the minutiae of operation. After being put and held on hold for 10 minutes (with canned messaging - see some details below), I hung up, called back and asked to speak to the manager. Shane. I described what had transpired to Shane. I said given what transpired that 5 minutes should not be problematic. That a manager could authorize that. He said he would not alter it. As I complained, he hung up. Before he hung up, I told him that I had been listening to the canned message (it was on a one-minute loop or so, so that meant hearing it about 10 times). The message was that Enterprise provided a great experience, that they went the extra mile for the customer and that they put the customer first. Not so. I asked Shane for his last name. 3 requests. Each time he declined saying Shane, manager, with no last name. As I complained, he hung up. In reading Yelp reviews on this facility which I did not do beforehand, I see where a customer had a very unhappy experience with a Shane. Probably the same guy. 'Manager'.
