I spent a very pleasant night in Escalante at this lodge. The lodge is small with parking in front of the room. I had the Single king room which was nicely furnished with lots of nice touches and perfect for my needs. The king size bed had a nice firm mattress but the pillows were kind of soft and didn't provide a lot of support. The tv was a connected to an antenna so there was only a limited amount of channels and sometimes the reception was spotty. But since the purpose in visiting Escalante is to get out and enjoy all the wonderful hikes and drives available this was no problem. The room has a microwave, small fridge, and a coffee/tea area with fresh ground coffee available. It would have been nice to have a small office chair so I could set up my laptop on the desk. The bathroom has lots of towels and a nice shower. The room has a back door that leads to a seating area in the back with a nice view of the mountains. The front of the rooms has a firepit and a grill and a nice seating area as well. The lobby closes at 6pm but the owners are available by phone to text or call. They are wonderful hosts. I had the pleasure of talking to and getting to know Terry and Wendy when I had a waffle for breakfast. They do not offer a free breakfast but they do have a small restaurant that sells incredible Belgian waffles and wonderful fresh ground coffee. The next time I am in Escalante I will definitely stay here again. read more

We're delighted that our son and daughter-in-law recommended Entrada Escalante Lodge for our just-completed mini-vacation with them. We snagged the last room available for our brief stay in Escalante (see my other reviews) - a two queen bed "room". I put quotes around that, because our lodging was more like a mini suite. It came with extremely comfortable beds, a kitchen and dining table with dishes and settings for four, a really nice toilet, shower, and dressing room, and a back patio looking out over the beautiful mesa to the north of town. Check-in was a breeze, with plenty of communication in advance and on the day before arrival. It's set up to be no contact, but Terry stopped by after we arrived just to be sure we had everything we needed. The Lodge provides complimentary laundry facilities, wonderful architecture and decor, Tesla charging ports, snacks, terrific coffee, and on and on. WiFi was fast and simple. In addition, our room had a European-style "key card enable" by the door; with the key out, the lights and most outlets go off (not the refrigerator). With the key inserted, everything comes on. Terry and Wendy have worked very hard to anticipate and accommodate every possible need. read more

Great, clean, and cozy place to stay less than an hour from Bryce Canyon. They had a lot of little "extra" touches all over the room that really made it feel like home. Nice toilet paper and tissues - not the thin stuff you'd normally find in a hotel. They had all kinds of toiletries such as band aids, room spray, q-tips, dental floss (individually wrapped), ear plugs, and eye masks. They also had a jar of snacks available, cups, plates, bowls, and silverware if you were eating any food. There was a roll of paper towels available and also a few packets of instant oatmeal and a variety of teas to make. Some of the rooms are pet friendly and they had a blanket, pet bowls, and treats available. They also had a note that they would arrange to let your pet out mid-day if needed while you were out for the day. There were also grills available if you wanted to grill. The blinds were also great for blocking out light if you want to sleep in a bit. read more

They were so nice and accommodating, and super fun to chat with. BTW... the rooms are immaculate! Complete with comfy beds, elegant bathrooms, kitchenette, dining table, snacks, and beautiful view from the terrace. So clean and comfortable. I've travelled the world and will always remember these accommodations as second to none. Hungry? Step across the street for a cold beer and a delicious burger from Circle D, or killer Mexican food at Georgie's. Or a yummy breakfast, steps down the road at the Mercantile. Trust me! This was an amazing place We booked it for our night before backpacking into reflection canyon and this was perfect for organizing everything along with luxury and comfort Beds r super comfortable , bathroom is huge and very nice The kitchen with full size fridge made it super easy for us to prepare enough frozen water bottles in order to be good for 2 days in the desert Owner is really nice and helpful Kitchen and dining area and covered patio is awesome. Lovely room with A/C, smart tv, good WiFi, a mini fridge with freezer and an ice machine. Also has a convenient little patio. Liked the French press and water heater pot in bedroom. The grounds could use some landscaping, but the rooms were quite comfy and spacious. Only complaint is the absolutely hideous, bright white canister lights in the bathroom. They hurt our eyes and I found myself getting ready with the lights off rather than enduring those cruel little beasts. Looks like they have a nice restaurant on the premises, but the two times we went by, the place was closed. The restaurant across the street was pretty good though. read more

Wow! What a pleasant surprise. Room was beautifully appointed with both decor and amenities. They really have thought of everything and I felt more like I was at a VRBO. They had a basket of goodies (snacks) supplies for coffee, tea or hot apple cider and 2 settings of real utensils with a cloth napkin which we used when we got takeout. It was beautiful sitting on the back patio looking at the mountains while we ate. Washer/dryer was free of charge, as well as laundry detergent. Can't recommend this highly enough. Town of Escalante was small but cute with dining options. read more

This place was gorgeous I cannot believe how relaxing it was and the hospitality we receive there. We flew to Salt Lake and took a very scenic drive to get to the Lodge. Every leg of the journey was more beautiful than the next. At each stop we thought we'd experienced the best of what the trip had to offer.... And then another wonder. Prior to and upon arrival at the Lodge, Terry and Wendy were just awesome. They were the perfect hosts for our anniversary getaway. We enjoyed peace and quiet, relaxation taking in the sunsets and sunrises. Every spot we visited was just breathtaking. The amenities of the property were perfect. Everything was well-kept, up-to-date, clean and meticulously maintained. Beautiful in every sense of the word. Everyone in the surrounding towns was extremely friendly as well. I couldn't imagine a better place to have spent my anniversary. read more

In a 10-day road trip through Utah, this was the best place my husband and I stayed at. I'm sorry we were only there 1 night! After a long day on the road, we pulled in and appreciated having parking right outside our door. Upon entry, the room was super clean, which was such a joy after our experience on the road thus far. The amenities were top notch. They thought of EVERYTHING: extra towels for cleaning up, cleaning spray, eye mask, ear plugs, snacks, water, and so much more. The bed was super relaxing and we appreciated the comfortable bedding selection. The shower was hot, had a GREAT showerhead, and plenty of space to put your toiletries (which you never have in hotels). It was such a quiet location and we slept so well. At night and in the morning, we were able to catch a glimpse of mule deer walking through. So serene and peaceful and a great view of the mountains. Should we ever be in the area again, we'll definitely be booking. This is a MUST STAY if you're in the area! read more

Driving through the back roads of Utah, we were tired and it was either set up camp in the dark or drive to the next town and find a place to spend the night. Love this place! We came last year and had a good experience even during Covid. We booked again for 2021 and it was even better- both times it was clean, nice rooms, comfortable beds, gorgeous view off the back. The current onsite management (Wendy and Terry) have been amazing with just offering top notch service and help with little extras to ensure this could be a 5 star review! Last year we had a smaller room, that allowed pets (we had our dog with us) so understandably it was not quite as nice as the 2021 room but we still loved it and rebooked. We were actually pleasantly surprised when we walked into our room this stay with just the little extras, notes/signs, and the non-dog room with the kitchenette. We come a few times a year and will absolutely be back. read more

What a gem! From the outside you have no clue just how nice this property is. We stayed in room #1. It had a very luxurious feel- beautiful tile, super comfy bed, and lots of little touches that made you feel pampered. This includes a heated bathroom, basket of free snacks, beautifully upholstered chairs, pour-over coffee and tea setups, etc. The view outback was amazing, the reason you travel to this part of Utah. What an amazing place to stay!!! Conveniently located to Bryce, Capital Reef, Devils Garden and a few more great places to visit. Very clean, modern feel with a hint of western flare. Lots of home perks, q-tips, shampoo, hand lotion, snacks, coffee, etc. We were in room #3 which had a kitchenette, large fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, bathroom layout was very well thought out. The queen bed was to die for so comfortable. You have your own parking spot next to your room. We (two adults, one dog) stayed only one night at the Entrada Escalante Lodge and wished we could have stayed for more! Our room was spacious, attractive, well-appointed and, best of all, environmentally-friendly. There are no wasteful tiny plastic shampoo/lotion containers; they have refillable bottles set up in the beautiful large shower. They have a system where one of your keys has to be in a slot by the door to turn on the electricity to your room. (So that you won't leave lights on while you're out) They provide glass glasses, ceramic coffee mugs, silverware etc so that you don't need all that single-use plastic and Styrofoam junk (and your coffee tastes so much better!). The room has so much natural light and is so open, you don't feel as though you're in a motel room. A kitchenette and dining table add to the comfort. The bathroom/dressing room is huge. There is even a nice little patio and gas grill available where I was wishing I could sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. However, the temperature was so cold and the wind was blowing so hard, that we couldn't make use of that. Next time for sure. The office is clean and pretty and well-supplied with maps, information and suggestions for hikes and/or drives to enjoy while in Escalante - Grand Staircase National Park. The attendant is very friendly and helpful. There is a very nice restaurant - Devil's Garden - just a very short walk away which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was excellent as was the service. We are already planning our next visit to the Entrada Escalante Lodge! read more

After backpacking for several days this place was the best. Super clean rooms, comfy bed, spacious shower with plenty of body wash, shampoo etc. TV is neat because you can log in with your own Hulu/Netflix (just remember to log out!). Staff is accommodating and unbelievably kind. Oh and the BEST part: freshly ground, organic, local, French press coffee. You have all the stuff you need to make it in your room! Unique and memorable touch which we coffee snobs loved. We will definitely be staying here again in between our outdoor Utah adventures! read more

We found this hotel last minute when we pulled into town. We were very pleased when we opened the door and saw such a beautiful and clean room. The room was equipped with everything we needed plus some. My teen was excited about the smart tv. She was missing Netflix and Hulu on vacation! The bathroom was super clean and the shower was amazing. I especially liked the heater in the bathroom to heat up the tile floor. Thank you for making us feel so at home and for the fresh coffee grounds. The biggest bonus was the washer and dryer provided to us with the detergent included. Thanks!!! read more

This place is quite the find in the middle of a beautiful, if remote, part of Utah. I spent a week here in early April and was very pleased! The lodge is set over several small buildings creating a nice feel. The rooms were surprisingly well decorated and outfitted and much nicer than I expected for this part of the world and at this price. All that is nice BUT the people the run this place are the real treasure. Mark the owner knows this amazing area very well and can direct anyone to someplace they've never been or thought of going. He and the entire staff are honestly the most welcoming hosts I've encountered while traveling in this country. I'd give he place 6stars if they let me! read more

After camping in the car and tent for a few days a place like this really hits the spot. The lodge is only a year old so everything is brand spankin' new. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean and the beds are incredibly comfortable. They even provided red towels to be used for red dirt, nifty dispensers for lotion, soap, shampoo and conditioner, and freshly ground bottle of coffee grounds for the in-room french press. I will definitely go back again next time I am in the Boulder/Escalante area. read more

We stayed at this lodge in a king room with a full kitchen for a week during February 2018 and we loved it. The furnishings, carpet and tile were tasteful and comfortable. I especially appreciated access to the washer and dryer, which was very helpful after long days of hiking in the area. They kept our room spotless and well stocked with cozy towels, ground coffee and related supplies, and they even lent us a sheet pan of their own! The only thing I could recommend improving is the sharp knives. The Kitchenaid chef's knife was good but the Farberware set was not. Other than that, we were very happy with the accommodations and highly recommend the lodge. read more

5 stars are not enough for this place! We stayed at the Entrada Escalante Lodge in October, and ended up extending our stay beyond our original plans because we so enjoyed the hotel and were having lots of fun in the area. It's brand new--the hotel opened in August 2016. The hotel offers luxury accommodations at a less-than-luxury price. We stayed in one of the suites and could not have been happier. But just watch--within a year, you will not be able to get a reservation at this place. It's incredibly well-built, tasteful, and really very comfortable, and in a beautiful setting. I can't recommend the Entrada Lodge enough. But plan ahead, because word will quickly get out and it won't be too far into the future where they are booked up many months in advance, especially as there are less than 12 units. read more

We spent three wonderful nights at the lodge for a winter getaway. The room was beautiful! Great craftsmanship and so much more than your typical "studio" room. Kitchen was well-equipped. Mark was always available and eager to supply coffee, tea or even spices. He also gave great tips and advice for hikes and drives in the area. He was a great host - couldn't ask for more.
