My favorite restaurant in the valley! I'm not a big meat eater but I love their skirt steak with amazing chimichurri sauce. Everything we have tried is amazing, including desserts with Dulce de leche. No corkage on Wednesdays and Thursdays, or inexpensive wine mid-week. Staff is very friendly and helpful. And a beautiful location on the Napa waterfront. So many other things I want to try. Love Entrocot. read more

Excellent service here and a high-end atmosphere without being cold, presumptive or stodgy. The items we ordered were all delicious, including the Parquque desert (OMG!). Somewhat limited in their menu but what they do, they do right. De La Huerta was delightful, served in a Kabocha squash, fish sandwich special and chicken sandwich special were delicious. As was the chicken pate appetizer. Very reasonable prices and a good by-the glass list of Argentinian reds. I'd love to see them add camarones and other seafood and a full bar would be cool too. I wanted to like this place. Bartender and owners of restaurant were very inviting. But their waiter is inappropriate checking out female patrons. Made me feel so uncomfortable! They definitely need to give ALL staff sexual harassment training. I felt objectified every time I walked to bathroom. Food was mediocre. read more

Just had the dinner at this new restaurant. It was disappointed. Since we can't find the wine list from the web site and 3 of 6 of us do not drink melbas so we bought a bottle of wine(magnum size) with us. We bought 2 bottles of champagne. We were still charge for the corkage fee. The menu or the web site did not indicate the corkage fee, 1st strike. The $65 34oz short ribs has 20oz. bone, 10 oz. fat and 4 oz. meat. What a scam! 3 of us ordered skirt steak, two of them cooked it wrong. The meat had good favor but quite chewy, more chewy than we had exeperienced before. We ordered two Kabocha squash, the roasted vegetable was just in room temperature and I could tell the vegetables were cooked in advance because they all were dry. The squash was still cold and uncooked. If the kitchen does not know how to cook vegetables, they shall not put it on the menu. We took a bit and did not touch it. When the server came to pick up the dishes, they did not even ask was there any problem? At the end, all six of us went home hungry. The restaurant needs to update the web site and provide more information. Otherwise, nobody will come back after one scam! read more

We keep coming back for Napa's delicious gourmet offerings - from American to French, Spanish, Japanese. Entrecot's Argentinian cuisine is an unexpected, pleasant addition to these. The service was welcoming, classy. The interiors cozy and sleek. It was our first Argentinian food experience and immensely enjoyed the chicken pate (get this!), empanadas, osso bucco, blood sausage. Nothing was overpowering. All tasty and light. Went well with the smooth Argentinian red wine. This restaurant also offers a good, refreshing view of (and cool breeze from) the Napa river. read more

Stopped for late lunch. Had not been to Napa previously. Lovely restaurant on the river. The food was excellent. Each item, from the bread to the dessert was enjoyable and unique. Got to meet the owner and let him know how much we appreciated our late lunch. Highly recommend. Flavorful and beautiful presentation of each item. Entrecot is very good at what they do best, grilled meats. They have the best skirt steak I've ever tasted (large enough to share). The current menu also has some incredible beverage values -- wines priced at $5/10 a glass, and free corkage Wed. & Thurs. Other menu specials also very reasonably priced. read more

Returned to Entrecot again when we visited Napa over Memorial Weekend, and it was just as good as (if not better than) the first time around. The four of us split the Humitas + Beef Empanadas, the Rosemary Fries, and the Heirloom Tomatoes for appetizers, and everything was so tasty and fresh. The Rosemary Fries were really unique and delicious. We all wanted to try things from the grill, so we got two Ribeyes, a Skirt Steak, and the Parillada, which was a mix of both cuts plus the Matrimonio sausages. All the steaks were cooked and seasoned perfectly and were very tender. The red chimichurri sauce was different from what I'm used too and had a nice kick to it. For dessert, we shared the Dulce De Leche Flan and the Panqueques, which were of course exquisite and the perfect finish for the epic meal. Two of us also shared a flight of the Argentinian Malbecs, which paired nicely with the meat. Finally, I must say that the service was amazing! Everyone was so attentive and friendly, our waters were constantly topped off, and we were never rushed even when we stayed well after finishing our meal to chat while enjoying the ambience. I have eaten here three times and the food is consistently outstanding and I love trying the new things on the menu because they are amazing. Get something with their Chimichurri sauce, it is delicious. Service is great. Wonderful location with beautiful riverfront dining. The prices are some of the lowest for Napa dining. Great, authentic Argentine food with a pretty view of Napa River. Being of Argentine descent, I was looking forward to trying this new spot in Napa, and was pleasantly surprised. Food is well seasoned and just enough to leave you satisfied. There were vegetarian options which is tough to find on an Argentine menu, and the wine choices were good and at a nice price. We tried the milanesa, flank steak, and calabaza entrees, the beef empanadas, rosemary fries, and tomato salad, and all of it was seasoned to perfection. Only thing missing was the chimichurri (flank steak comes with criollo sauce), but was fine without it. Dessert was amazing-panqueques de dulce de leche! Just enough sweetness without being overbearing. Overall a nice experience, will definitely return. read more

Food is great - the Asado de Tira, or beef short rib, is extremely tender and flavorful. The Lomito Argentino is delicious - skirt steak dressed with Aioli sauce, Arugula, in between crisp Ciabatta bread, creates a fantastic sandwich for both taste and view. Regarding the food portion, at least 50% more than I expected for that kind of price range. The dessert Dulce de Leche Flan & Vainilla Creme Fraiche is simply amazing. The custard (although it should be a custard topped with caramel, but the taste gives an impression that the whole thing is made out of caramel) paired with Vanilla cream gives a well-balanced flavor - no doubt about the look (love the small mint leaf they put on it to give a nice final touch). It is a dessert of guilty indulgence. Above all, the friendly staff really make this place so welcoming that undoubtedly we will visit again. read more

I don't write reviews often but this place deserves it! Our server, Mickey, was an absolute gem. He was so helpful with all of our food and wine questions (we had plenty). It started sprinkling on us a bit and, before we could even say anything, he and the owner were outside helping move all tables under the awnings. The food was amazing! Do yourself a favor and get the skirt steak and the shank and split it. And absolutely get the crepes for dessert. Literally nothing disappointed here from service to food. read more

We had a GREAT dinner and an AMAZING server - Mickey! Two of us had the skirt steak and one of us had the Rib Eye - cooked to perfection and our specifications - the flavor was so good! The food is authentic and delicious, the service is friendly and knowledgable, and the decor is warm and welcoming. We tried the stuffed tomatoes which is the special and I considered getting another one to take home for later. The beef shank had a lot of flavor and was cooked perfectly. The polenta is perfection, the short ribs have amazing flavor, and we were pleasantly surprised by the wide variety of gluten free options. The panqueques definitely stole the show though. Fantastic restaurant at reasonable prices! Our server, Luis, was such a great ambassador for this restaurant, besides being so attentive, everything he suggested was so fresh, tender and flavorful. My wife and I started off with the beef empanadas which were served with an amazing chimichurri sauce. Each bite just melted in your mouth and the mix of flavors were amazing. Next it was on to the main course where we split the skirt steak, a green salad and an order of rosemary fries. The steak came already cut in two for us and was grilled to perfection. It came with an olive oil based sauce that had fresh bell peppers and onions, it was a perfect fit for the steak. The salad was very good, with a wonderful light dressing and the fries were hot and, not being much of a rosemary guy, seasoned perfectly. As for drinks, Luis set us up with two amazing wine flights, all representing red wines from Argentina, they went so good with the steak! For desert, Luis recommended the panqueque de dulce de leche & ice cream. This crepe like desert was filled with a sweet cream, and grilled to make it a little crunchy...Then topped with ice cream, wow! We were a bit early for our reservation, but the owners were so kind and seated us right away even though we said we could hang out in the bar. Every staff member we encountered was polite, professional and attentive. We highly recommend this place! read more
