Love! Their happy hour is fabulous. 3-6pm on Sat - Thurs. I love their crispy tacos and the crunchy salad that comes with it!

Frida's was next door to America's Tires and I had a hour to kill so I said to myself why not. There wasn't too many people as it was past the main hour for lunch so there was no wait to be seated. I was given the lunch menu opted for the Chicken Salad. The server brought out some chips & salsa. The chips & salsa were decent but not memorable. The Chicken Salad came out pretty quickly and first impression was it was a good size portion. Everything seemed fresh and I definitely was filled up. Service was efficient, the restaurant clean and price point was fairly priced. I'd say this was a decent experience and would go back to try more of menu.

We came in on a Saturday night with our family. There were 11 of us with no reservations. They were fast to set up a table to accommodate us. We sat down and realize that they did happy hour on Saturday. Majority of us ordered from the happy hour menu while some of our family members opted for Paella and the seafood platter. While I didn't like the paella since it didn't have the char on the rice that a traditional paella should have. I did enjoy the chicken tinga tostadas and ceviche tostadas. I was a little disappointed in their sopes, they didn't grill it enough to have some texture in it. I needed the crunch that I was missing. Moreover the restaurant was busy and packed. They had rational Mexican decor and a nice bar to sit at if you didn't want a table, I would be back for more!

I went to Frida's for a lunch meeting. The ambiance is okay, the place is clean, and you can tell they serve local food. Most of the people at the restaurant seem like regulars, which supports that. The waitress who greeted me was friendly. I sat down and waited for others to arrive. When I sat down, the waitress brought me some chips and salsa. The chips were crunchy and tasted great with the salsa. After everyone arrived, she took our order and drinks. The food came out pretty quickly, and everything was delicious. I love local restaurants like this, where you can still get good food at a reasonable price.

My go to casual Mexican in Napa! Great for both pick up and sit down. The salsa is the best- always take some to go. The fajita salad is super filling with lots of toppings. Inside does smell a bit like the tire shop next door, but the food is fantastic once you get past that!

This place was amazing. A nice local restaurant, most who came in while we were there chatted with the employees on first name bases. The food was delicious, received it nice and hot and everything was fresh. The restaurant was easy to find and the atmosphere was welcoming.

We visited this quaint Mexican place in the area of Napa. Happy hour is from 3-6 pm. J Carlos was great super friendly and the meat was so tasty. If you're in the area, check them out there was the delightful treat in Napa.

Tostada Mexicana Salad - it was great!!! Just enough spice and was very fresh.

I've always found this place to have great food. Very little wait time. The food is always fresh and the service is always good. The biggest challenge can be finding parking in front of the restaurant but it's worth looking around.

Stopped by around 1:30 PM after our midday hike at Linda Falls--definitely worked up a good appetite! The restaurant wasn't busy, and we got seated right away. There was only one server handling the entire restaurant, but she was very attentive, and our food came out quickly once we ordered. Our group had a bean and cheese burrito, mole enchiladas, and a three-item combo with two mexitacos (shredded chicken) and a chicken tamale. Portions were huge and definitely worth the price. The food was pretty good overall, though the chips and salsa were just okay--the salsa tasted more like something from a jar rather than fresh. Solid spot for a post-hike meal with generous portions and good service!

With a wasabi and fennel infused vodka, it was too unique not to be curious about. Upon arriving and looking over the menu, SEVERAL cocktails stood out to me as intriguing to try. I started with the Wabi Sabi which was as interesting as it sounded. While I didn't pick up on fennel, you do pick up on the wasabi, but in the most subtle of ways. Think maybe lime/ginger sparkling water with just a hint of spice. Refreshing and different for sure. I also tried the Mucha Lucha w/ cilantro infused Siete Leguas Blanco, chorizo infused mezcal and cubes made of hot sauce that make the drink have a bit more of a kick as you allow them to melt. I did the HH chips and guac which was also accompanied with a tasty Chipotle sauce. Damn good actually. It'd be excellent served in a variety of ways. The deviled eggs aren't going to blow your mind, but I like that you get 4 different ones- and simply because I love eggs, I'd order them again. (They just wouldn't be a dish that brings me back). The bartender was great- helpful and attentive, even as more people began to filter in for an early afternoon. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Napa to check out some other menu options.

At their busy times it's mostly hip hop and R&B, other times the bartender's will throw some music on. I would suggest stopping in to have a great cocktail and see what they're playing. As soon as we approached the venue, there was a long line of people waiting to get inside. We arrived a bit later (around 8pm), and the crowd had already started to fill the venue. Mind you, it's a decent sized venue but not a massive space -- enough to accommodate at minimum 100 and likely max of 200 while still staying within code. There were several people coming in and out of the door, where the GM and bouncer for the night , appeared extremely stressed due to the amount of people in line and inside. A woman, who happened to be the wife of the DJ, stepped out to make a phone call and when she attempted to get back inside, proceeded to get yelled at by the bouncer saying she needed to go to the back of the line and wait like everyone else. The woman attempted to tell the bouncer her husband, who was the guest DJ for the night and is a historical, world renowned DJ (again using big names to draw crowds, and appropriating vinyl culture, but not respecting the very people in attendance), needed to tell him she'd be outside and would sit in the car. The GM started to yell and disrespect the DJs wife, and she ended up staying outside. Apparently this GM and venue are not used to larger crowds, and she essentially cracked under pressure. She went on to tell us the capacity was 67, and that they "were already at 200", which is a lie because there was a ton of space between people inside the venue (we have photos to prove it). She kept yelling and pushing people back. Girlfriend, this was not a Vegas club night. This crowd is 40+ (age) crowd, so it's not like people were out of control and acting debaucherous -- everyone was respecting the rules. If you couldn't handle the crowd, which btw you agreed prior to the 80-100 people expected for the party, then why was it such a hassle for your venue to handle the capacity. You knew a larger crowd was expected that night, it's your responsibility as a business owner to adequately staff the bar, door, etc. Yes; we needed to respect the door and the rules -- and everyone did. I won't get into further detail, but a physical altercation took place after the woman tried to return a second time (to again get her husband and tell him what was going on given she was being harassed at the door), putting hands on her in the process. Just completely out of line. Overall, this venue wants to appropriate the music and DJ culture, yet when the actual music and DJ community show up, there is no respect. Let alone for loyal patrons who have frequented your business and brought tons of revenue to the bar that night (which btw was extremely slow). Don't fall for the dog and pony show here. Go somewhere else that touts respects for their patrons, and for all walks of life -- not just the pretentious kind.

What caught my eye was their Taco Tuesday specials and today just happens to be Tuesday! We came in early evening, just before the dinner rush and apparently this is a very popular local bar and grill. Most of their customers were regulars, I could tell. It felt warm and comfortable inside and it had a very community feel in there. I was observing how the server conversed with every customer and she was so kind and attentive. She was very helpful to me in suggesting some of their popular menu items. We got the fish tacos, the shrimp tacos, the lamb sliders, Brussels sprouts, grilled tri-tip, the flautas and the empanadas. I would say my personal favorites were the grilled tri-tip, the Brussels sprouts and the empanadas. The Brussels sprouts were lightly crispy and chewy but absorbed all the roasted shallot vinaigrette, so it was a nice umami bite every time. The tri-tip was cooked like I like it (I don't like my beef bloody, sorry, not sorry). It was so flavorful thanks to the black truffle compound butter! Omg! It was delicious! The empanadas were lightly crispy and came with a really good chipotle crema sauce and I was dipping my empanada in that sauce because it really complemented the chicken tinga filling and crispy cornmeal crust. My oldest son loved the fish tacos. They were so crispy and loaded. My youngest son loved the lamb sliders. They were tasty and had a slight smokiness but the rosemary aioli brought it all together for me. It was such a nice touch.
