WOW!!! just got a call from Envious about a deal they have going on. I still have a procedure left from Groupon that I purchased (2 Brazilian waxes and used 1). Obviously, they shut down due to the pandemic. They opened intermittently during this year. I was not comfortable going into their establishment during these times. Now that California is open for 1 day, I want to use my remaining procedure. I was told NOPE, sorry. We opened during August and during October, blah, blah, blah. Are you kidding me right now??!! Instead of offering a customer the service that they have ALREADY purchased, they would rather LOSE A CUSTOMER and all the friends that I will tell about how AWFUL they truly are!! SHAME ON YOU!! Ashley provided excellent customer service and quality skin care. "Smooth as a baby's bottom!" Lol. I bought a Groupon for 3 Brazilians and I am so happy this is the place I went with. I had such a great experience for every appointment. The deal on Groupon was amazing. It was for a junior aesthetician but that did not make any difference to me. She still has her license and went through all of the same trainings, she just hasn't been working there as long as the senior aestheticians. I called to make my first appointment and the process was quick and smooth and it didn't take long to get an appointment. Every appointment was great, they went well and were quick. I don't think waxes hurt, but there is some discomfort. I did stop after my three because I got pregnant and extra blood flow thanks to pregnancy does make it hurt however, after pregnancy when things are back to normal, I know I will come back here. I did not become a member, but if you plan to come to use their services often, I do suggest becoming a member because you can save money that way and who doesn't love saving money? The front desk staff was kind and helpful and I never felt pressured to purchase any items or any other services. Thanks to the area, there is no parking. There are a couple of spots right in front of the building but they were always taken so I highly suggest giving yourself extra time before your appointment because you may have to drive around playing the parking game. I did that once and then for my other two appointments, I made my husband drive me and wait because I don't do well with the parking game. I am giving this place 5 stars for the OWNER, Kim, and the way she conducts herself/her business!! I originally scheduled my appointment for a particular time, but then was called and asked by the spa to push it back a half an hour or so. This resulted in me running late to the appointment. When I arrived, the front desk asked me if I could come back later or skip my appt altogether, because they only had 1 person working and didn't want the next appointment to run late. I obviously was not happy about this after agreeing to change my time and then driving all the way there (with $6 gas prices). After informing them I could not come back and was scheduled to leave town the next day, they called Kim and she saved the day. She came in with such a positive attitude (which you don't get from most managers when they're called in general let alone called to come in last minute) and she did the waxing herself. She is also just freakin adorable and I can tell she's a really cool/fun person. She is definitely a boss b*#$h! Not only did she do my Brazilian quickly, but pretty painlessly and she makes you feel super comfortable. As someone that used to do PR, Events, and Branding for ESPN and other big name companies I know how important customer service is and a good attitude no matter what. Treatment: Basic facial $65. Good: Nice place, excellent customer service, champagne, music. Relaxing experience overall. Bad: When I think about facials, I think about black head removal. My experience here was more like an extended face wash with expensive face products. The person who performed the facial did not even remove my obviously visible blackheads. I have had $75 dollar facials elsewhere and my pores have been really cleaned out. I was disappointed with how my skin looked and felt after the treatment was done. Overall, this is a good place for a basic facial if you want to be pampered for 50 min. However, I would not recommend this place to someone, who like me, likes deep pore cleaning. read more

I moved to LA in May 2012 and can't find ANYONE like Kim and Orlando. I drive from West LA down to Enviouskin to see Kim and Orlando and it is 110% worth it. Kim really takes care of your skin and takes time to understand your routine for washing your face and gives pointers that aren't outrageously different. I am the first to admit I'm lazy when it comes to taking care of my skin but I still want glowing skin, and Kim knows that about me. She gave me a very, very easy routine that within a few days had my skin in tiptop shape. She's a miracle worker. Orlando asks the questions that need to be asked in order to really give you the massage your body is craving. The time on his table fly by because it's immediately refreshing and enjoyable. I have been to Enviouskin now about 5 times. I started going for Brazilians, and now go for additional wax services. The reasons I started going there were the positive reviews, the convenient location, and, mostly, the fact that they have evening hours and they have been able to accommodate me last minute. I am impressed by the overall cuteness of the salon, and the friendliness of the woman at the front desk. They start out by offering you drinks, and it's nice to get a mimosa after a long day of work. I really like the perfectionism of the esthetician that I have been getting Brazilians from. She is friendly, and keeps a conversation to try to distract me from the pain. At the end, my bikini is clean, even times when I come in with very short hair growth. The only thing that I don't really like about this salon, is that they raised the prices for the "senior estheticians" and now use "junior estheticians". I have been getting Brazilians from a senior esthetician, but other services from juniors to save a little cash. In general, they do a good job too. One was a perfectionist, the other was OK. I guess I find myself a bit torn between quality and price when I make my reservations. Parking is generally not a problem. If you are lucky, you can score one of the few spots in front. Otherwise, there are usually spots on Adams Avenue. read more

On a whim I found Envioskin and have never turned back! Kim and her entire staff are professional, very kind, flexible and wonderful! I have had my share of waxes over the years and this was the first wax I received that I didn't bruise or leave burned or bleeding. I have very sensitive skin and Kim takes her time to ensure I don't bruise. She recalls conversations we had the last time I was in and is always careful to pay attention to exactly what the client wants. I have also had a facial with Kim and was very pleased. She is very gentle and knowledgeable about the skin and skincare products. She isn't pushy in her suggestions and always has a smile on her face. I recently moved to San Diego from LA and needed to find a new place to wax my lady parts. After searching on Yelp like a crazy person and a few trial and errors I think I may have found the place. PARKING: First, let me say that parking isn't that great (there are 3-4 parking spots in front of the salon - everything else is street parking) so schedule your appointment in such a way to avoid high traffic times (Thursday and Friday afternoon/night appointments are probably not the best). But if you're patient enough you will find a spot. SALON: The location is very cute and clean. Everyone that I have encountered is very sweet and welcoming. SERVICE: I've seen Chelsea twice for a Brazilian wax, once using their soft wax and the other I tried sugar wax. Chelsea keeps everything sanitary and tosses the sticks after each use for the soft wax, if that's what you choose. Overall, the experience at EnviouSkin is great. The ladies will try to sell you additional services during your visit, but they are not pushy about it AT ALL which I love. They just like to keep their clients informed of their new services. I bought the three-session Groupon to use for a Brazilian Wax and my first session was great. My second session, they changed my esthetician last minute. The esthetician, Saretta, was horrible. She made the whole session very painful and was not trained on how to remove the wax strip from the skin properly to cause the least amount of pain. To book for my third session, I asked them to not place me with someone like Saretta and needed someone who was an expert on waxing. They said that I had to upgrade to a senior esthetician for an extra $38!!! I agreed to try my luck with a junior and I truly regret going their again. This time, the esthetician Hope, took very long to finish the session, did not remove all the hair, did not remove all the wax to an extent I had wax left over deep inside my private area after I had showered!!! And yes, my private areas are itching right now! I understand that junior esthetician do not have the expertise, but they should be trained on at least removing all the hair and not leaving wax left overs! read more

My sister recommended that I request Alexis as my esthetician and thankfully she did! So I have come to EnviouSkin twice now. I purchased a Groupon for 2 Brazilian waxes. I did some research online and decided to upgrade my service to a sugaring. When making my appointment I asked the receptionist about sugaring vs waxing and she was very informative helping me make my final decision to get sugared. I told her it was my first time getting a Brazilian and I wanted a very experience aesthetician, she suggested Chelsea and got me scheduled. It was quick, easy, and very professional. Upon arriving, there are only 2-3 parking spots for the building and other parking in along a rather busy road. Thankfully, both times I have been able to park at the building but I could see how it might be less than ideal (especially having to walk a long distance to your AFTER a Brazilian). The salon is very cute and stylish. As soon as I walk in I know I am going to be taken good care of. The rooms are very clean and neat. I have seen 2 different aestheticians (Chelsea and Terra). Both of the ladies were great. I told them I was nervous; they both talked my through the process the whole time and made sure I was doing 'ok' throughout the service. They educated on me on what to expected before, after, and during. The only negative thing is regarding their push for sales for enhancements and products. They are very knowledgeable in the products they offer; however, every single person I spoke to tried to push for them. (Again this barely a negative thing, just a bit of info). I went in on a Sunday afternoon and they have 2 parking spots right in front but other than that it's street parking. I got there 30 mins early and they have complimentary wine. Filled out some information on an Ipad and was called in at my exact appointment time. Chandra was the best and even though it had been awhile since I got a wax it didn't hurt so bad. She mentioned that if she missed anything to let her know and she can remove it but she was able to get everything. I mentioned that I usually experience pain, redness and puffiness after waxing so she suggested a mask. It worked great, an hour later I see very little redness and nothing hurts.
