I recently held a large party here for 35 people . I was only here one time previously before for a similar size group. The food was great then and even better now. The venue is the perfect size for up to 60 people comfortably, maybe more. It is so intimate but yet you have enough space where you don't feel cramped. And the best part is it's a seperate dining room, so you won't have to worry about kids or making to much noise. The staff was incredibly attentive and extra kudos to the chef. The owner Luciano, even stopped by to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. (You Never See that Anymore) There was so much food being passed around and everything was so well balanced. My favorites were the eggplant rollatini, Anti Pasta, Ziti bolognase, Chicken Francese, and Filet of Sole Oreganato. I highly recommend this restaurant for large parties or just a simple date night. And if you can't get a reservation, i hear they even have another location in Yonkers. read more

Nice, time-warpy Italian restaurant. The waiters are in vests. I started off with a good, if smallish, martini, We were served excellent warm bread and a caponata variant. The chopped salad was good, if unexotic, and big enough to shared. We both liked our entrees. My wife had sole and I had swordfish Livornese. The food was well prepared and the portions were large. We go here often - the Groupons for this restaurant are ideal. Usually 50% off - $20 for $40 worth of food. Sometimes there is an additional 20% (Sun thru Thurs) off which makes it $16. A great deal! Staff is pleasant - it isn't usually crowded - food is good and portions are generous -- I've ordered food that wasn't on the menu and they were accommodating. Prices are fair. Wine choices are good and you can get a half carafe for table which is enough for two. My only thought would be a more varied menu but as I stated they will vary it for you and the prices are adjusted accordingly. read more

I had a groupon reservation, so I was unsure how we would be greeted. Surprisingly the host greeted us with open arms to a table. I'll cut this short and give you the brief rundown. I'll go over the cons then the pros. I had 3 problems with this restaurant. The first was that we didn't (party of 2) receive any olive oil or pepper for our bread that wasn't warm. I'm okay with that to an extent but the bread was crispy while they were serving a corn, tomatoe, and bean salad to accompany the bread. I took one bite after trying to fit the salad on the bread and the spread went everywhere. It was a mess. My second complaint was that it took the bus boy UNTIL DESSERT to use a scraper to clear off the bread toppings and the crustings of the bread. The waiter( who was magnificent) had been to our table multiple times and didnt request a cleanup service. My last complaint was that it took way too long to collect the check. I understand giving time for customers to finish their meals/ drinks/desserts but waiting 20 minutes to pick up a check is excessive. A $120.00 check at that, including the groupon. The Pros: The food was amazing. Chicken with portobello mushrooms, potatoe croquet & a creamy marsalla sauce. Perfectly cooked. Dessert was a chocolate mousse. Perfect amount of sweetness and whipped cream. My husband and I decided to go here for a date night. From the moment we walked in, we felt unwelcome. Our waiter barely even looked at us when we ordered. We had the buffola mozzarella to start. It was HORRIBLE. My husband had the Chicken Francese and I had the Alfredo. The cheese in my dish was so overpowering it made me nauseous and his chicken francese was good, but how hard is it to make that?! Our waiter never came by to check on us and never even offered us dessert. Mind you, every other table got the dessert menu brought to their table. It seemed like it was a place for just regulars. We ended up giving the busboy his own tip because he had such a great attitude and gave great service. I will never ever go there again and am just disgusted that a place like this is still open. Had horrible experience. Went with groupon. We wanted to sit out on their small sidewalk seating but since only one other couple in restaurant waiter asked if we would sit by window instead. We were ok with that.They did not have the green bean salad that was in the menu so due to dietary restrictions I asked if I could have the case salad without the romaine. I was told it was not part of deal bc it cost 10.50 but no in my menu it said 8.50. I was told my menu that they handed me was wrong. The waiter suggested the tri color it had too much dressing, bitter and disgusting. I even tried wiping the dressing off with my napkin but was still inedible. My friend decided to pay extra for casa. The cheese was good in it but very little of it and also hardly any tomatoes and walnuts. Not worth the price. For my main entree I ordered the pounded filet mignon in a wine sauce med rare. It was over sauced and bloody bright red in the inside. I asked for it to be cooked a little more and be med rare but came back well done. They did offer me another and explained since thin hard to cook (I never had a problem when I order it elsewhere). It did not taste good again something way off with the seasoning so I said no thank you. I heard the waiter in the bar talk to either the owner or chef and the person yell she ordered rare what does she expect. No I ordered med rare so I expected pink with a little red not all bloody rare. The broccoli was over cooked and mush. My friend had ordered the calamari over linguini this was actually decent but overpriced. I ordered the veal chop to go. It was warm and probably cooked for a little longer in the sealed container but when I got home and decided to have a piece it was very pink on the inside and the string beans were mushy as well. A cup of coffee nothing fancy is five dollars. Even with the groupon I feel like we overpaid for what we had. With tip because not waiters fault it was 35 per head and for just small salad, entry and shared dessert (and yes the one we wanted on the menu they did not have) and my friend had a coffee that was small and nothing fancy. I can not tell you how upset I would of been if I did not have a coupon and paid over fifty for just bread and water and a spoonful of ice-cream. There are so many better Italian restaurants in the area. Many are less expensive too. I hardly ate but felt sick to my stomach from what I did eat there, My advise go somewhere else get better food at a better price. I have been to Enzo's twice, now, and the food is great. When I went yesterday, the waiter was as friendly as can be and very patient. I got the feeling that he is always this nice and was genuinely concerned about whether we were happy with the service. He answered all of our questions. So, to the food. We were there for lunch and had the lunch specials.The minestrone soup was delicious. We had a mussels appetizer (which was not on the special list) which was so good we were eating the sauce out of the bowl afterwards like soup (OK, this is really bad manners but hey, if you dipped your bread in that sauce, you would have done the same!) probably we could have stopped there as the serving was rather large, but when the entrees came we dug right in! We had the veal dish, the eggplant Parmesan, and the fish dish on the menu. All three were spectacular. Overall a very nice way to start the afternoon. Very highly priced for the area it sits between a auto mechanic and a choclate shop right near the corner of Mamaroneck Ave. and Halstead only steps from the Metro North train station. Had the Chicken Enzo...was supposed to be served with the chicken tenders, was served with hard cut up chicken breasts that were insipid... overcooked, tasteless....My wife had the pork loin special.... soooo dry...burnt on outside and raw on the inside....my HALF order of gnocchi was delish, BUT for 12.50 definitely not worth the trip anymore.... My wife and I went with a Groupon. We didn't know what to expect based on the extreme range of reviews that ran the gamut of excellent to terrible. I can say we both enjoyed our meal and service. They started us out with a nice portion of crusty and warm Italian bread along with peppers sauteed in oil and garlic. They were delicious. Our Gorgonzola chopped salads were huge and each one was enough for two. They gave us the Gorgonzola separately so we could put as little or as much as we wanted on our salads. Our Veal Casalinga was wonderful and came with a separate dish of sauteed string beans and carrots on a separate plate. We had Tiramisu for desert along with cappuccino. I had lunch here recently and it was quite wonderful. Good service and a delicious meal. We both had the minestrone... very tasty... And the sole meuniere was excellent. The best I've ever had. Expertly prepared, served piping hot, with wonderful garlicy green beans. At $17.50 for the fish, not exactly inexpensive, but sole mueniere everywhere else is $40+. Like the other reviewer, I too had an unforgettable experience, no matter how hard I try to blot the memory of my dinner. I had the Calamari e Piselli over Linguini ( Sautéed Calamari in Garlic & Oil,Peas) and it was inedible. The sauce was a gloppy mess that reeked of fish. There was nothing appetizing about the dish: it was grayish in color and massive in size. I tried two bites but could not eat it and lost my appetite. The waiter, who was otherwise perfectly pleasant, never asked if there was a problem, nor did the bus boy who cleared a pile of food, which, if it had been edible, could have fed a family of four. On the bright side, the little chick pea, tomato salad they serve with the bread is delicious. Sadly I will never taste it again since I will never return. read more

Enzo's deserves at least 4 stars for quality and deliciousness of their food and the value they offer with first rate steaks and Italian specialties. The only reason they miss out on Five stars is sluggish service. The decor is ok...it's not hip or trendy. So what? Try their gorgonzola salad and Clams Oreganato (whole, succulent cherrystones, btw)...the melt-in-your mouth Dover Sole, the Steak au Poivre with cognac sauce...the fried Calimari is wonderful...a table next to us had two platters for ten people! The scampi and filet combo platter is beyond yummy, and their pastas are inventive and perfectly cooked. So is the broccoli. And the addictive freebie salad of corn, black beans, garbanzo's and Italian salsa is a welcome hors d'oeuvre with your pre-dinner beverage -- so good with the crusty bread. Desserts are also excellent especially the Tiramisu. And they pour a generous drink! read more

The only reason it is not a five star rating from me is because of affordability. It can be a bit pricey. So this would be a place I would dine at for a special occasion (that is just based on my personal budget). We split a salad, each had one entrée and one glass of house wine. Bill was $90. Maybe for some that is reasonable...but again, it's all about what one's budget is. Was it worth it; absolutely, the meal and service were delicious...I just think it would be a special occasion place for me and not a 'go to' place when I just want to dine out and not cook dinner. Went there last night with my in-laws and our children. The wait service started off poorly. We asked what wines they had by the glass and the waiter listed several types: Chianti, Pinot, Shiraz, etc. but no indication or knowledge of the year, vineyard or recommendations. Just: wine. I asked for the wine menu, but it just listed several overpriced bottles, but nothing listed by the glass. Ok. fine. On to the food. We ordered salads and the pasta fagiole soup. They brought me the wrong salad, but that was quickly corrected. The pasta fagiole soup was uninteresting and uninspired. White beans, pasta and a boring base. I'd rather have a can of Progresso. While we were waiting for the main course I took my younger son to the bathroom. There were no paper towels in the dispenser, so I looked in the bathroom cabinet. To our great surprise the cabinet was filled with toilet paper and wine glasses. I looked at a wine glass and my son just said, "...I think I just lost my appetite." My inlaws ordered fish - the very same dish they had eaten there the previous night, but this time it consisted of just a plain filet of flounder/scrod on a white plate. They were so disappointed that they had the waiter bring them another piece of fish. My son ordered veal. It was tough and overcooked. There was a side of green beans, but they were overcooked and bland. I ordered a filet mignon medium rare. It arrived seared on the outside and raw on the inside. I sent it back and 3 minutes later it's returned after having been flash broiled. Everything on the plate (even the rice) is scaldingly hot. The steak is, of course, now overcooked and too tough, so I leave it. We were never offered dessert, but did have a cappuccino. I thought that an Italian restaurant should at least be able to make a decent cappuccino, but they couldn't foam the milk and it tasted more like hot water + milk and coffee. There is nothing. Absolutely nothing to recommend about this restaurant. It is ridiculously overpriced, the wait service is poor, the food is terrible and I don't even know what to say about storing serving ware in the men's room. If it wasn't for the fact that we were with family I would have pulled the manager aside to express how disappointing and distressing our experience was. read more

We went there with a Groupon now the Groupon expired and we were only allowed to use the $80 that I paid for it and I understand that. It was expired b/c the friend who I bought it for had an Un expected death in the family and was grief stricken and then this winter each time we were gonna go it snowed badly. Anyhow so we go there and want to order from the complete meal options on the back page. Well the waiter starts yelling at us thst with Groupon we can't get a promotional dinner and I explain to him it's no longer a promotion I'm just using the $80 thst I paid. One of the guests in my party asked him is he a waiter or the owner and he got mad. He says I'm the owners son. What does that mean? He is dressed as a waiter. He goes in the back and another guy comes out and we explain to him the situation. He takes the menu goes in the back and comes out and tells us we can order from that menu. Ok another waiter comes out and takes our order. Ok salads and soups come to the table, followed by entrees, which were very tasty. Then the waiter asks us if we want coffee or tea, three of us order tea and the fourth orders just a cup of steamed milk. Then the waiter asks us "Do we want dessert?" Yes of course we fo it's part of the complete meal. So he tells us all our options. One orders tiramisu, 2 order tartufo and last one says bring ne what you think is best. Ok so teas and steamed milk are served abd now the desserts are coming iver. As he places the tartufo and spumoni down in front of us he tells us these are not part of the meal and are extra. So we say ok what can we do now he tells us this as he places in front of us on the table to embarrass us if we didn't 2 ant to pay extra. I couldn't finish my tartufo so I asked for tin foil to wrap it and take it home, he tells me they font have any tin foil in the entire restaurant. So then the bill comes and they charged $3 for the steamed milk and $8 for each of the three desserts. What nerve! First he should have told us which desserts came with the meal and then told us the price for the extra ones, I would us gladly have paid but thst is not how you treat customers! Note we were the 9 ny table in the restaurant and then two other couples came into the restaurant. Food was good but lousy service. read more

An old school Italian restaurant with a some flair in some dishes, and much more quiet and old-school-dinner-out dining room than you can usually get on Mamaroneck Ave. We really enjoyed the pasta course -- the hand with the spices and oils was almost delicate -- and the fish was perfectly done. I had dinner here last night with a friend. I had previously had a business lunch here. The experience was so positive, I decided to take the time to write a review. First off, the restaurant area is very comfortable and the tables are not on top of each other. The privacy and comfort is great for either a date or a business conversation. Reminds me of an old school Italian environment in the Bronx. However, the best part of the experience was the food. I started with the chopped salad with Gorgonzola. The Gorgonzola comes on the side and they give you a ton of it. Quite good quality. I had the parm crusted veal with artichokes and my friend had the sole. The veal was outstanding. So tender I could cut it with my fork. The sole was light and delicious. Both meals were huge, you won't leave here hungry. The couple times I've been here there were only about 10 other customers in the place. I'm surprised because it is really very good. I'm Italian and love to cook and dine out so I am quite picky. Spend our Valentine's at Enzo's, for starter I was handed a long stem rose as we sat down. What a pleasant surprise! I had Insalata Tagliata for starter which was okay, too much radicchio so it kinda bitter but the veggies were fresh. D had lobster bisque soup which was good he said. For main course, I had Gamberoni Francese which was out of this world. Also, they were nice enough to accommodate my request, steamed broccoli instead of the rice that comes with it. The shrimps were pretty decent size. D had Vittelo Loreto ( veal scallopine and portabello mushroom sautéed in white wine) which looked so delish, the big mushroom portabello were looking so yummy and the portion was big. I had to share my shrimp with D, I was so full. For dessert, we shared Amaretto Tarfulo which was the best, it put the icing on the cake. D also had a cappuccino to end our dinner. If there were an option to rate this place no stars I would. This was probably one of the worst places in Westchester I have ever eaten. I went to this establishment the night of a street fair in Mamaroneck; I'm calling it an establishment because it shouldn't even be called a restaurant the food was so bad. For some reason they had one waiter serving everyone sitting outside although there were not a lot of tables. We first ordered our drinks: a bud light and a cabernet sauvignon, the wine tasted cheap and even the beer was bad. We ordered filet minion and it took the waiter 45 minutes to come back out and tell us they were out of it. Another 15 minutes later our app. of clams oregenta came out and they tasted like old fish. What kind of Italian restaurant messes up this type of clams. From there we just cancelled the rest of our order and tried to pay. We couldn't find the waiter and went inside to speed things up. The manager inside, a blonde was extremely rude and non accommodating. We will never go back to this place; it is a waste. read more

Just had dinner at this Resturant , the meal and service was okay. Not very happy that the waiter took it upon himself to add 18% gratuity to the check. It is not stated anywhere on the menu that the gratuity is included, this is usually a policy when there is a large party or six or more having dinner. It was only a friend and myself that thought we would try something new after a afternoon of shopping. Anyway he cheated himself had he not done that he would have received 20%.
