The team first talked to us, then did a video review of the property pre-purchase, then did a very thorough mock up of some ideas, then met in person to measure and talk more--all this before we hired them! The one aspect of the move that needed zero micromanaging was their work, and it was done with care, precision, respect for our budget and joint vision, and even with our needing 2 days to get the moving truck in place to move in and pause their progress. Great ideas for ceiling fans, flooring choices, new molding, light fixtures, too. There was a great, easy contract to sign, we stuck to the budget and yet, when we needed to expand on 1 particular area of the home that needed adjustments, we worked to find creative solutions that stayed on track and within the slightly expanded budget. They were so upbeat, neat, respectful of the home and space, reliable, and went above and beyond. The end results are gorgeous! We have more yet to do and in a little while when we get settled into place, we will hire them for the next phase. We checked out a few local contractors before hiring these amazing ladies and their team, too, and we are so happy we did. Our home has already increased in value with these added changes and renovations, too-- for reference they filled in a partial wall to enclose a room, built gorgeous custom shelving to create a walk-in closet, worked for solutions to install 2 sets of awesome custom shelving in strangely-shaped closets already in the home, installed new lighting and switches in 3 rooms, replaced outdated molding, installed a pocket door, painted hallways and several rooms and molding, advised and installed or oversaw installs of new flooring and ceiling fans, cut beautiful bench seating and shelving for the new space off the brand new enclosed room, and came up with awesome solutions for helping fuse what was being changed in the home with what already exists here. In the past we've agonized over finding a new contractor or handyman who not only did good work but didn't hit us with questionable or surprise charges, but from the time we first found Eric's business profile on Facebook with examples of his gorgeous tile work and had him redo our bathroom floor, we haven't needed to find anyone else. He has redone the tile in both our bathrooms and our shower (looks absolutely amazing and we are SO pleased with it!), installed toilets, bathroom vanities, painted our hallway and bedrooms, and helped us switch out a ceiling fan with a ceiling-flush fixture with multiple lighting settings, and installed a new mailbox (w/post). We gave him a key to go into the house while we were out of town to install a cover plate for an empty outlet box; he fit it in on short notice so the listing photos for our house would look good. Not only has he done great work on everything, but he's a clear and kind communicator. In the past I've had contractors be very short with me and make me feel foolish for asking detailed questions about aspects of the work we're having done (not great for my anxiety), but Eric has always been extremely gracious and patient. He broke down the process of how the tiling job would go when I asked, he's shown me the most efficient way to patch nail holes and use tools properly, and during the first job we hired him for (as I was just getting comfortable with power tools and DIY projects) he took the time to show me how to properly (and safely) replace the blade on my miter saw! To boot, he's good with our large dogs which is a big deal for us having had many fosters and adopted a few rescues of our own. We can't recommend Eric and his work highly enough. Quality, fair prices, good communication, and trustworthy! Once you hire him for a job, you'll never need to look elsewhere for handyman work and tiling.

Allen was hired to tile our entire home to include the back porch and redo our master bathroom…read more Thursday, March 27th was the last time he was here. He left after adding another layer of sealant on our main living area stating he would be back Friday morning to look over everything. We at this point had been having trouble with uneven patches of sealant all over the house. He never showed Friday & texted saying his wife was off and he was spending the day with her that he would see us on Monday. This type of thing happened more times than we can count in the almost 3 months this job has been in progress. Monday came and went with no response to our attempts to to reach him via phone and text. We have since hired another company to come and strip the flooring and reseal. Upon a brief overview of the main traffic areas in our main living area we have noted close to 20 tiles with a "hollow sound" when tapping on them indicating air pockets that will inevitably fail with either cracked grout and/or tile. We have a master bath with a wall plate that is dented and scratched and were told by Allen he was researching the replacement and he acknowledged if left this way would end up rusting. We have paid Allen in full, receipts to show it and even at one point paid him $3,000 before flooring was complete so that he could buy his wife a birthday gift as requested by him. We more than held up our end of the agreement and now all of the sudden are being "ghosted" by him. We at this point were simply asking him to come back and address the holes in the grout we have found and the hollow tiles with air pockets so we have no issues in the future. This job began in January, if he would have put in solid 5 day work weeks as promised we would have been done a month ago if not more. One last minute excuse after another not showing up has been the norm. Lack of attention to detail towards the end has also been the norm. My husband has been doing quite a bit of fine tuning. We simply want to know that the money we worked so hard for and saved has been worth something, that we don't have endless repairs ahead of us as tile begins to fail. He already had to repair a leak in the master bath. We have to correct the drywall in the bathroom where at the end he stated "texture isn't my specialty" after accepting and "completing" the job. Our last text to him was extremely heartfelt, stating we at this point considered him a friend and were saddened he just up and decided he was done. That we were extremely speechless and saddened that our judge in his character was so wrong. He seemed like such a good christian family man, a value our family shares. The ONLY thing asked of him in the last text was to let us know what the plan was in the future when the grout and tiles with air pockets begin to break and to let us know the status of the wall plate in the shower. And yet.... no response...
