Sushi and Sashimi Special ($75) - This party platter comes with 12 pieces of sushi, 18 pieces of sashimi, 6 piece spicy tuna naruto roll, and 6 piece california roll. I think it would be enough to feed 2 people, but if you have more than that, you probably want to order another roll or two. Everything here was pretty good. The fish seemed average freshness. The naruto roll was unique with cucumber around the outside, though the tuna was not really spicy. I specifically thought the sea bream (white fish) sashimi was good, as it had a creamy taste and consistency. Julie Roll ($15) - This roll was delicious, with a nice combo of yellowtail, salmon, and tuna in one roll. In addition, there was mango for some sweetness, avocado, and cucumber in there. It was topped with red fish eggs and had a soy wrapper around it, which made it a little unique. Beauty and Beast Roll ($15) - This is sort of a 2-in-1 roll, as half of the pieces have tuna on top and half have avocado on top. There is also shrimp tempura inside along with cucumber and eel. Another tasty roll. The restaurant has a very chill vibe inside. There were a couple others dining in as well for Sunday lunch. The staff are super friendly and even gave us a side of edamame on the house. The service speed was pretty quick. Overall, if you are in the mood for some sushi (either dining in or take-out), I think Nigiri Sushi would be a very good option, particularly if you are in the Franklin Lakes area. read more

We love Nigiri! The sushi is always fresh, the miso soup is wonderful, and The conor roll may be my favorite menu item in all of NJ! We've also gotten takeout and the food stays just as fresh. I could eat here every week and not get tored of it. The interior is petite and very straightforward and limited to a few groups of 2-4. Not exactly the most romantic sushi spot, but the food and service is unbeatable. The staff is the kindest group of people, and Conveniently BYOB with a nice liquor store in the same(ish) parking lot. Already dreaming of the next time we can have Nigiri! read more

I do not get the hype about this place. It is not somewhere I would ever go back to. It was very disappointing.. The first thing I noticed was the interior. It was a bit dingy looking and it definitely needs a coat of paint and some new chairs and an update. , They seem to do a huge amount of takeout, and they definitely don't know how to handle when people are sitting there eating. I did feel bad for our waitress. She was trying to take care of the tables, answer the phone pack orders, and hand the orders to the pick up customers. That's too much. We started with a Kani salad. I saw a bowl sitting on the sushi station for about ten minutes. Sure enough that was ours and it arrived mushy and warm at that point. The rolls were as much of a disappointment. I usually come here during lunch and they have great lunch specials (I usually get the 3 roll special - the spicy tuna, spicy salmon & tuna avocado roll are always great choices) , it's one of my go to sushi places in the area - it's quick and always hits the spot. The staff is friendly and welcome. I've only tried the sushi here (no kitchen items yet) and it's delicious. The service is great - they always manage to get food out in a timely matter and the staff always makes sure your beverages are filled up and never low. Super fresh sushi with great service at an affordable price! I recently reviewed Hiura in Fort lee as the best sushi I've ever had. I figured it's only fair I divide this category into Japanese sushi and Western Sushi. While Hiura remains my favorite Japanese sushi restaurant, Nigiri Sushi has won my heart as my favorite western sushi spot (the main difference being that western sushi uses many more ingredients than Japanese sushi). All of the staff, including the sushi chef behind the counter, greeted us as we entered. We got the No Money roll, spicy salmon roll, boston roll, shrimp tempura roll, and the chicken teriyaki box, which all came with free miso soup and salad. The chef was even nice enough to give us each a piece of nigiri to start and a scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert. All of the food was delicious, but my favorites were the no money roll and the spicy salmon roll. I was also happy to see that when they served the food, they clearly explained what each roll on our plate was, rather than just stating each dish's name. The only thing I wished they had was more non-sushi options, but if that's the cost of fresh sushi at an affordable price, I won't complain. Definitely would come again! read more

I'd eat every meal here for the rest of my life and be happy. Something about their fish is just always better and better every time we go (which is one if not more times a week). No matter what day of the week it is, it's always fresh. The best part is that the sushi chef knows exactly how to cut the pieces so they break perfectly in your mouth, and just the right size so you don't feel like you have a chunk of goo in your mouth like other places. Even menu items that aren't fish are great here. I have to rave about a few of my favorite items. Absolutely love this place. With it being so close to home and it's quality of sushi is top tier for the area, this is the place to eat. With COVID and everything going on we have had to do takeout and the whole process has been seamless without a loss of quality. Although I miss sitting down and enjoying my meal at the restaurant, it still tastes great at home. Sushi gem. Just went around the town to look for snack and came across this place. Sushi is just rice and fish, and they did a really good job on the rice. Just enough vinegar and sugar to give taste to the rice. The fish were cut nicely where 1 side of the fish not sticking to the rice to bw dipped to soy sauce. Pros: Miso soup and edamame were good The ruby red roll was really good and the highlight of the meal. The spicy tuna in the middle and the salmon on top worked really well The uni was very good Cons: The rice was so hot it made the fish warm and unpleasant to eat The spicy scallop roll had too little spicy scallop and included avocado which completely overpowered everything else The shrimp in the salmon lovers roll was mushy and the roll was overall not very good The pieces of yellow tail, salmon, tuna looked unappetizing and tasted wholly average Overall the plating was terrible and looked nothing like any of the pictures I see here I don't like writing bad reviews but this was the sort of meal you have and you don't want to go back to a place.
