Recently I embarked on a long-awaited process of replacing the rugs in the bedrooms of my home with hardwood floors. It was a big decision given the investment and fact that the rest of my home already had hardwood floors (put in by the old owner) that I would need to match. I purchased traditional wood flooring from LL Flooring in Lakewood, who in turn recommended Felix Flooring for the installation. I cannot say enough about the service that I received from Felix and his team. From the day that he came in to measure the room and answer my (many many) questions, I knew that I had chosen the right person. In the days leading up the the installation, I had a few questions about what to expect, and Felix got back to me right away. Since LL Flooring was out of the particular style baseboard I needed, I chose to supply those on my own. I texted Felix from Home Depot on a Friday night for a recommendation on product, and he told me not to worry - he would supply the baseboards for me so I didn't have to cut them and attempt to lug them all home. This was NOT in his job description, but he insisted! If you are hesitating even a little about choosing Felix, being able to expect this level of care is one of many reasons you should just go ahead and book. It is unusual to find people who both (a) take immense pride in their craft and (b) are just generally all-around kind and amazing human beings. As for the week of the install, I was once again was blown away by the professionalism of Felix and team. Their work is impeccable, from the floors themselves to the seamless room transitions to the baseboards/moulding. I've worked on many homes in my life, including doing my own floors twice. Felix is a world-class carpenter and his work elevated the look of my home. I also appreciated what I consider a true "white glove" service: the team moved my furniture (including a piano) in and out of the rooms without a single scratch, and they kept the hallways protected and my entire home neat and clean throughout the process. This was one of the best experiences I've had doing a major home renovation over the past few years. Roy and his family are not only wonderful people but they run a quality business and work with great crews that do the demo and installation. We ended up going with the Essence Alpine Nordic Fields vinyl planks and couldn't be happier. With a husky in the house that's very rough on the floors and a baby on the way we felt we needed the extra wear layer and waterproof protection. We had a bad experience with Felix Flooring, for our wood flooring repair and refinishing. He sent us a subcontractor, Bradley Morrison for the job. Long story short after paying Bradley to repair, and then refinish our floor, the repair failed and boards started popping up, leaving speed bumps in 3 places. We'll have to replace the floors now. He initially said he would fix his failed repair, but decided it was the floors fault, and reneged. Felix also would not take responsibility for the failure. read more

If you're in the market to redo your flooring, Felix Flooring is your place. Roy Felix and his daughter Reanna are the friendliest people you can deal with. We were looking to redo our second story and stairs with luxury vinyl flooring (LVP) with something that was close to our flooring downstairs. From the moment we walked into their business, you could feel the good vibes. I was impressed and I'm not easily impressed. Roy showed us a sample of flooring that was almost identical. The whole process was so great I went back weeks later to do our bathrooms and laundry room to make the floor cohesive. Our installers, Jared and Buchanan were awesome. They did an outstanding job especially on our stairs. We have the bottom two steps that curve and Buck was able to make it looks absolutely wonderful.
