Ben and his crew at Equinox Roofing solved a complex set of problems for our flat roof replacement in San Francisco. Our 1946 streamline moderne building has a 4-foot vertical parapet wall of stucco at the top that runs down to a flat overhanging eave that wraps around the building. The last roofing job about 30 years ago had installed bituminous roofing sheets up and over the parapet wall, covering it and the top of our flat eave overhang below it. Equinox was willing to include the stucco restoration in their bid, whereas other roofing companies had trouble integrating this sub-job into the work. Ben also included replacement of our custom skylight in the quote/work. His crew was respectful and tidy, and they cleared away everything upon completion of the installation as promised. Getting a new roof is a stressful and expensive endeavour. Choosing the right roofing company is key. I recently worked with Eli at Equinox to get a quote and ultimately chose them to do the work. Now that it's all done and dusted, I glad we did. We chose Equinox despite them not being the cheapest. Eli took the time to inspect our roof and climbed into our attic to help give an informed quote. He sat down and explained materials and process. Basically, he gave me an education in roofing. This built trust and I felt comfortable going with a company that wanted to build a relationship based on trust. You can find several roofers with good reviews and similar scope of work, making a decision difficult. Equinox Roofing is more than good. They are outstanding, excellent. With the 1st meeting, Issac was more prepared explaining what they would do with samples, pictures and videos more than all the other roofers. The estimate was very detailed leaving no doubt what your money would get. It was not the lowest and not the highest, so a very fair price. The lowest had very little detail and highest was outrageous. There was no pressure to accept, whereas one other pushed hard to sign immediately with a couple efforts to lower the price. So be weary of any offers that seem to be too good, very suspicious. Equinox crew was very experienced and there was absolute confidence in the quality of their work. Issac provided photos of the work and daily progress status. There were a couple areas with greater damage that they fixed at no additional cost. Equinox will do their best to do the work at fixed cost. At the end of each day, the crew made sure all areas were cleaned up. The job was done on time and Issac repeatedly asked if I wanted anything else done to ensure that I was completely satisfied. The warrantee will outlive me, but if I had other property, I would certainly use Equinox, and encourage you to seek them out read more
