After several repetitions, it felt less like a technical decision and more like a statement. If the owner doesn't want to host soccer fans, that's completely their prerogative. But putting a World Cup match on the TVs while intentionally suppressing the experience people came to enjoy is a strange middle ground that manages to satisfy nobody. The result was a room full of people watching one of the biggest sporting events in the world while being reminded every few minutes that the bar would rather they weren't.

WATCH OUT FOR BARMAID (white hair, glasses, fake boobs) Great bar and fantastic hamburgers on wednesday but the BARMAID with GLASSES and FAKE BOOBS will pretend she doesn't know how much the beers cost and also does not bring back change, just keeps it without asking. Gave her a $5 for a $3.50 beer. I asked her for change, she said beers were $4 and, without even asking me, she just kept the $1 (even tho she owed $1.50). Then got indignant when I asked for it back. NOTE TO BLONDIE: ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS give the customer their change, let THEM decide if they want to tip you! OTHER THAN HER: This is a 5 STAR DIVE BAR. Stop by Ercoles occasionally, and it consistently a fun place to grab a beer, have a burger and watch some sports. First day of football and bar has a decent crowd. Burgers are on the menu. Bar is understaffed (took 10 min for bartender to restock cooler to get a Newcastle).
