As reviews go, this is gonna be a doubleheader, which is appropriate on a couple different levels. A.) we ate twice here this past weekend and B.) we were in town to watch 12U baseball, as played by the 12 y/o twin grandsons. So to paraphrase Ernie Banks *skypoint* Let's eat two! On Saturday the first game was at 9:00 AM followed by the 2nd game at 10:45 AM. After a sweep for the good guys we determined not eating the hotel "food" was probably the right choice but we were both famished. A cursory search showed this lovely eatery was about 15 minutes from the ball fields and we made our GPS-led way right to it. Ish. It's very small, and it's an old house with not great signage, so my dumb a** drove right past it GPS or not. Quickly correcting my directional faux pas, we found what was, in the moment, the last available parking spot and made our way to the door. The place was packed but to our good fortune a table was getting up to leave and it was quickly cleared for us. Did I mention it's a cozy spot? From memory (which, in my case is spotty at best) I'm guessing there are less than 25 seats inside, although there is also outdoor seating so maybe forget I said that. There's plenty of room. Anyway, our server, the lovely and talented Leslie came by with coffee and water (yay to both) made a couple recco's since we were first timers and was off. Not terribly long after she returned with Fried Green Tomatoes for B squared and a Rustic Chicken Bowl (the special) for me. Both meals were outstanding! The Chicken Bowl was a schmulya of sausage gravy, fried chicken strips, waffle fries, and scrambled eggs. That's not a combo I would've considered making but dammit the dish was tasty! The FGT had a balsamic drizzle, feta, strawberries, etc. and they didn't last on her plate long. Sunday's games were at 1:00 PM and 3:00PM so we decided to simplify our meal search and come back here before our afternoon of baseball. We were greeted like old friends and shown to a table. The manager apologized for the table as it was small and in a busyish spot, but we weren't bothered by either. Leslie remembered our coffee orders from the day before and delivered them promptly. Our Sunday choices were a delightful Quiche for BB and Biscuits and Gravy for myself. Both great calls, although I will say the sausage patty that came with the quiche was rather salty. Lastly, let me just say here that both BB and I have restaurant history at various points in our lives. So we get what it's like dealing with the general public, what type of personality it takes to be good at the job. I want to go on the record that, while the food was great, and the setting was charming, the thing that made our experiences at this restaurant memorable was the staff. Everyone we encountered was phenomenal. Always hustling, always pleasant, always courteous. I know, I know, nobody is that great, blah, blah, blah. Whatever. I'm not big on giving 5 stars, I think this is only my 2nd one. They earned it. Quit whining about my review, go eat here, and tell me where I was wrong. Very cute outside as it is inside, staff were courteous and friendly. My mother, her sister (my aunt) were celebrating my aunt's Birthday. Our waiter was just fantastic and super sweet when addressing my any. I had a pineapple mimosa to start with, it was ok, a better quality champagne could be used. Brunch for me was the Ham omelette with green peppers, onions, cheese, and minus the mushrooms. It was delicious. The fried potatoes were crispy and tasty. Well gosh dern, this place is slap your mama good!! Yes, I am writing this review after one of the amazing mimosas I ordered here so it is champagne charged but with alcohol comes honesty. This place is AMAZING. From the vibe in the older renovated cottage, to the quaint seating, and the old school price is right playing on the tv at the bar, I was in love just walking in. The food, my gosh THE FOOD. I ordered the brioche French toast with fried chicken and blueberries sauce and it is the best bite of food I've had in years. Sweet, salty, sugary, crispy, soft....all in one. All I can say is order it! My husband's quiche was also delicious but I only got one bite before he devoured it. The cornbread and biscuits are also house-made! The afore mentioned mimosas was the perfect blend of a lot of champagne and little orange juice, like they should be! If you're looking for a cool brunch, with unique options, come here! I did make reservations and I recommend if you want to sit inside as the seating area is smaller. Everything about this place is great. My husband and I consider ourselves "foodies." We are also seasoned travelers and when it comes to food we have high standards. We loved the cottage ambiance and our server, Daniel, was extremely attentive and really authentic is his service to us. Nothing fake about him and he genuinely cared about our experience. The shrimp and grits were amazing and my husband's steak omelette had tender chunks of steak inside. Our food came out very quick also. At Daniel's suggestion, we rounded up our brunch with dessert -- a homemade banana bread with ice cream cream on top, served piping hot. Yum!! We will be back and bring others. read more

I have written reviews on this location before, but recently took my wife there for Mother's Day. Pam had the traditional Eggs Benedict while I tried something new. I ate the Eggs Benedict with lump crabmeat. They're was a hint of horseradish in the holandaise sauce whis is made from scratch. This was a perfect breakfast. My favorite is the Eggs Benedict with shrimp, however the crabmeat special was excellent and near the top of my choices. As usual, the staff was attentive and friendly and the atmosphere is cozy and delightful. I know, if you eat here, you will be immediately be recommending the place to your friends as I have done. Made this one our last hoorah meal headed home from our vacation at cherry grove and I did not expect it to be the best meal we ate while here for the week. I consider myself a food snob, most things I try I know I can just make better myself as a chef or I can find somewhere else for cheaper etc but this is one that I'll def be giving credit for and telling others about . I read a review praising the French toast and fried chicken so I gave it a try and I'm so glad I did, I cleaned my plate which is rare for me, my husband got the blueberry pancakes and he cleaned his plate too, our son got the kids portion of pancakes and bacon (they don't have that on the menu but our server told us about that which was super helpful, half the portion half the price) and he almost finished it which is saying something for him, the service was fantastic as well, from our server bringing out a dish of fruit for our son to keep him happy while he waited for food to our coffee cups never going cold with refills . the detail was something I noticed , chilled tin of cream for coffee, the chocolate syrup swirled on the cup of my sons chocolate milk etc . Extremely unwelcoming experience. We walked in with a group of 17 and were directly asked if it was "17 humans," which came across as rude and unnecessary. After confirming, we were told they could handle it. Later, we returned with a much smaller group and were still refused service. If this place is reservation-only, they need to clearly state that instead of giving mixed messages. Turning away both a large group and a small group after saying you can accommodate is frustrating and unprofessional. The wording used made the interaction uncomfortable and felt insensitive. I visited on Mother's Day and they were completely booked. Being a truck driver and having showed up alone in an uber they made room for me. The coffee was good the food was fresh and tasted great. I had the fried green tomatoes with shrimp and poached eggs. There mimosas are out of this world. Each one (and I had several) was prepared to perfection just like it is in the picture I'm posting. I love the menu concept that you get so many choices to build your meal. The happy hour drinks of mimosas were great . We had a group of four and shared the lunch special of lobster Mac and cheese, very good. We had quiche with seared steak strips , fruit, a steak salad and the other lunch special of steak and roasted vegetables in a beer reduction. Also had the mushroom Swiss smash burger. Stopped in on my way out of town. This is such an adorable little place. Everyone was incredibly friendly. I was dining alone so I sat at the bar. They not only served up great food but also great conversation. They even pointed me in the direction of a historical site that was right down the road. I made the drive and discovered Little River. The food: I had breakfast. Their menu is neat. You can basically create your plate the exact way you want it. I had 2 eggs, bacon, shrimp, home fries and fruit. And coffee. The coffee was so good! Absolutely terrible. The hispanic waiter was racist and made a rude comment to us. As he brought out the syrup, he said "here's the syrup for the white guys" and then proceeded to never come back to serve us. As we try to go in and pay, they tell us to get out and wait in the cold for 20 mins before coming out to help us take care of the bill. We were looking for a place to grab brunch after a jet ski excursion and landed at Eri Boo's. It's small and nestled along the main road. We didn't have to wait at all around 10:45 am, but a reservation might be a good idea if you want to try the restaurant because there wasn't a lot of seating due to the size, and it might be busier some days. Their menu dynamic was different... which is part of the reason we loved it so much. My partner typically orders an omelette when we go out and always has to pay extra to get all the toppings he loves. At Eri Boo's he could add unlimited toppings for the set entree price! It was delicious. I ordered the special- homemade pancakes topped with blueberry crisp and fried Cinnamon Toast Crunch bacon. After I told the bartender how much I loved pairing bacon with sweetness, he brought me complimentary chocolate covered bacon to try alongside the cinnamon crunch bacon. The mimosas were delicious. I tried the classic mimosa and the Hawaiian 5. Great mixings! Our waiter was nice and was very knowledgeable about the menu and let us know what was great to order. Everyone we encountered working there was pleasant and went above and beyond to ensure we were having the best experience. The food was excellent and if we are in town again we will be back.
