After waiting for years for this building to be converted from a dry cleaner to a restaurant, it finally happened. And even then it took us a few years to finally drop in and give this place a try. Not sure if this is the first or second restaurant in this location since the changeover. So finally today we stopped in. The inside was much larger than I expected it to be. It was very fresh and clean on the inside. The inside had a little bit of a 1950's vibe with its light turquoise padded booths and chairs. Along with fresh clean walls and similar tones of turquoise, it was a very refreshing visit. The restaurant was sort of divided into two sections. The main dining area and a smaller area on the side with mexican sweets, sweet breads etc. It is a nice little area to come for coffee and a treat for breakfast. They also have bread and tortillas for purchase. I ordered the fried tilapia and grilled veggies. The tilapia was very good but I didn't care for the veggies. Also came with rice. So this is my first time here and so far walking in is a nice small cafe. They serve breakfast and lunch. This first item that they gave us was a small soup not sure what it was called it was ok was not bad I just felt like it could have used more flavor for me it tasted bland. This little hidden gem is our go to for Mexican food. I come from a home where my family makes it homemade so we are tough critics. This place reminds me of my Grandma's home made Mexican food! Went for breakfast today. The food was great! The service was even better. We even got cake to take home which is almost gone. The cake along with everything else was made in house (including the tortillas) and delicious. I seriously think I'm going back for a torta tomorrow, I was that impressed. It's all glass so you can see where you're going. When you walk in, first off, the smell is wonderful, the place is bright and looks incredibly clean for a busy restaurant so kudos there. The employees were smiling & seemed happy to assist. We were told to pick a seat and were immediately brought a menu. We got our drinks and food came out quickly, fresh & hot. The manager, Franco, came around and introduced himself. He asked if everything was good and if we were completely satisfied. It was & we were. We gave this place a shot about a month ago after dismissing it since they opened but we were so wrong for judging a book by its cover and missed out on years of deliciousness. Some of the best food we've ever had! My husband got chilaquiles with steak and I got them with carnitas (both with "green sauce"). Our son got the combo I think it's called? that had pancakes, eggs, sausage, and bacon; our daughter got their breakfast sandwich with potatoes. Today, just 1 cook, and 1 Waitress / cashier. (Seating for 40, but don't bring a big group here, until more workers are hired) I eat Mexican food all the time, so I ordered the Avocado Toast breakfast plate, and it was decent for just $9.99 I bought some Pan Dulce, and it was very good, though it lacked the lard you get Mexico. I am so glad that Rosi's Cafe finally opened! The Rowlett/Garland area is so consumed with every fast food chain you can think of, so having a new local restaurant serving fresh and authentic food is refreshing. I decided to try their breakfast tacos, which come with a total of three with a side of potatoes and beans. They offer chorizo and egg, bacon and egg, carnitas and egg, brisket and egg or a potato and egg taco, which comes with cheese. Since this was my first visit, I tried three different tacos (chorizo, bacon and brisket) using flour tortillas. The homemade tortillas were so delicious and the perfect size for a taco. Surprisingly, the bacon and egg was my favorite! The brisket was a little dry, but I loved the flavor. Unfortunately, I didn't try the chorizo because I was stuffed; however, my mom had it and said that it was her favorite. The breakfast taco plate was reasonably priced at $10, especially for the amount of food. I will definitely give Rosi's another visit and try other menu items. read more

I drive by Rosi's every day on my way to work so I've been waiting for them to open for quite a while now. I'm off work today so I finally had the chance to go in, making a special trip to do so. Inside was clean and bright and the people were really friendly, greeting me immediately and offering to help. I ordered the chillaquiles with both sauces (red and green), add an egg, eggs over medium. It came out quickly, the eggs were perfect, and it was absolutely delicious. The best I've had since my friend from Mexico made some homemade chillaquiles for me a few years ago. I'm definitely going back for this again next time my family and I go out for breakfast. (BTW, the red sauce was good, but the green sauce was better. Next time, I'll just get the green.) I saw they have tacos al pastor on the menu. If those are as good as the chillaquiles, this place will be a new favorite. read more

We ordered a total of 6 plates came out to a little under 100 dollars. Chilaquile plates were not bad a 8/10. We also ordered 2 plates of pancakes and chicken strips for 15 dollars each. As soon as I opened my box, I was truly disappointed, 3 overcooked pancakes with 2 "homemade" chicken strips that looked like they came straight out of a freezer . My daughter ordered the pancakes, which were delicious, and I ordered the Huevos a la Mexicana with corn tortillas and ...YUM!
