Talk about customer service, everyone at Es Body Bar is kind, sweet and talented. I got a regular mani/pedi, had to book last minute, the owner Es was very accommodating to my schedule, I wanted a late appointment but ended up showing early, she was attentive and tried to seat me early. Karine did my pedicure and Skye did my manicure, both did an amazing job and I love how it turned out. I didn't wear open toed shoes and they gave those spa flippy floppies and was chatting with Es by saying I will walk back home in these since it's only few blocks away and she didn't think twice and offered to drop me home !! I really want to give this spot more than 3 stars - the owner and staff are the nicest people (so I wish I could give 5). But, I've been a few times and my nail experiences just don't match the customer experience. I've felt that both times I've come here, I've really just thrown my money away. The first experience was definitely the worst, the nail tech was very self promoting, stating her gel nails always last 2-3 weeks; they lasted 4 days. The paint job was so sloppy and they almost immediately started chipping. I don't think this nail tech is still there. The second time, I had the loveliest woman, but the language barrier was significant. She did not understand when I asked her to be gentler because she treated my cuticles like she was scrapping wallpaper off. I asked her to be gentle multiple times until I had to ask her colleagues to let her know; they let her know and she got a little better but eventually I just asked her to stop all together. She was meticulous in terms of making sure the polish covered all my nails, without making sure my nails were ready for polish. 6 nails were so jagged I had to file them later and they weren't even. And now, a week in, the gel is already chipping. Super frustrating to have such a great customer experience but the product just not being on par. Hope they can work out the issues! read more

The manicures here are great and it's the only place I've found in recent years where my gel actually lasts. Unfortunately I recently got a pedicure where two of my toes were cut and the guy was trying to hide it from me even though it was bleeding and I could feel it happen. I had to ask for alcohol or disinfectant to be put on. I'll probably still come back for manicures because the service is great, but I'm wary of getting a pedicure here again. A lot of times nail salons accept walk ins which then effects people who actually have an appointment. They are clean, efficient and do a great job. I've had both gel and regular polish manicure in addition to pedicures. I've always had a great appointment. I also like how their colors are organized, it makes it easy to pick a color. This is my favorite new beauty spot. Its really a Gem in the valley. I got my nails done with Amy and she is an absolute nail genius. My nails finally grew and have the most beautiful shape because of her. I went from getting my nails done every 2 weeks to now only needing it every 3-4weeks. Worst mani-pedi I've ever gotten. Woman sliced open my pinkie ten seconds into it, and kept filing over the cut. It stung like hell until the very last splash of alcohol based product. The polish is already cracked five hours later where it went on too thick and then didn't cure properly, and the final coat doesn't even go to the edge. It's comically bad. Pedicure lady didn't even do anything to my heels, or around the cuticles. What was the point? I would have been ashamed to do a manicure and pedicure that bad on myself, much less someone else. Photos speak for themselves. I'll spare you my feet photos. I spent too much, and tipped WAY too much. Definitely would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

My services: Ombré full set and gel pedicure I am in love with this salon and after 6 months of searching I think I finally found my new go-to nail tech. ASK FOR MICHAEL- He did an amazing job on my ombré set and I've gotten so many compliments the last few days. Can't wait to see what we do next. Making an appt was easy, they were even able to accommodate me for a later time the same day when I called to see if I could move it. I'm not sure if they have a parking lot but street parking right in front on a Saturday was easy. They had a huge color selection of gel and dip powders. Massage pedicure stations are always a plus. Giving two stars because the staff and employees personalities were really pleasant and very nice so this sucks to have to do but the work just did not really carry through and it was a bit upsetting as a gel x set starts at $85 here (this is typical for gel x but paying upwards of $100 for one set of nails I do want a quality job) I decided to try them out as I'm new to the area and it's walking distance. The first thing I noticed was that I don't feel she fit the proper size nails on my nails as some were slightly glued to my skin so I spoke up about it and she continued to do it and then tried to just file it later - next thing was when it was time to apply the gel x there were so many air bubbles in my nails which typically should not happen if done correctly and so much gel x glue that you can see around all the bottoms of my nails. Next thing was I asked for a color French tip and the base she used was super thin to the point of seeing the brush strokes on my nail again I didn't realize this until my nails were basically dry and then when it was time for color she got a lot of the green color under my nail trying to clean up the French tip which left me with a green tint that you can now see through my nail on my thumb. I just am not sure the nail tech I was given had much experience with gel x which is fine but when someone is paying I don't think then is the time to practice or experiment and would have rather waited to get someone more experienced if I knew this would be the case. I was a walk in so maybe that had something to do with it but my experience with the quality of nails just lacked overall. Also I was told usually for mixing the colors and what I asked for would be $20 extra dollars but I was charged $10 instead and wasn't sure if it was because she heard me complaining a bit to my nail tech so that was cool but out the door these were still $95 and Im kind of stuck with these as my birthday nails now. read more

This IMMACULATE gem of a body bar is one of the Valley's great beauty secrets. The space is bright and beautiful. Everyone who works there is lovely, and the location is easy with a cool neighborhoody vibe. Christy is a genius (I do dip nails and gel toes) who is A true pro. Just did my first 'stab' at micro needling yesterday and my skin is already transforming! I've spent too much time and money on 'luxury' treatments. I don't need the hot tub and thick robes. They don't deserve the 1 star yelp forces you to give! I came here for a last minute pedicure and only received a color change. The nail "tech" neither shaped my nails nor tended to my cuticles. The paint job was done poorly as well. The customer service is terrible as well as the owner's only resolution the poor service I received was to charge me an additional fee to complete the service I had initially paid for. Absolutely ridiculous! I would not recommend coming to this nail salon at all. There are plenty of nail salons in the surrounding area that I recommend you try instead of this one. read more

I went on Yelp to find a salon near me, and this was the place I chose. It had great reviews so why not? I called on a Friday thinking I most certainly won't be able to get in, but low and behold they put me down for an appt. They paired me with Angela Wilcox. I walk in 5 minutes before my allotted time, and the receptionist greets me and lets Angela know I'm here. Meanwhile she's sitting there chatting with another worker who's sitting in the client chair. They both look at me, and turn their heads back to one another and continued to talk to each other. Completely ignoring the fact that I'm standing there looking at them. They literally sat there for another 2-3 min. (It felt like an eternity). They slowly got up and continued their important convo, and she finally looked at me and gestured for me to come over. I sat down and the first thing I ask is how much for a fill? (I've never paid more than $40 for an acrylic fill). She asked me did I want a regular or gel? I didn't understand her question because no one has ever asked me that before. (The guy that was sitting in the client chair walked over looked at my nails and said yeah, it's gel. But NO ONE SAID THAT WILL BE $55. $55 NEVER came out of anyone's mouth.) She's says I don't know and looks at the receptionist who say, "$30-$40. (Which was weird, which price is it?) It was still within the correct price range. I said okay. I then asked her how much for a specific design, after getting the prices for what I asked, I decided on solid white toes and solid orange nails. The whole time she did my nails I was watching tv on my phone, and occasionally telling her something hurt or something about my shape and length. Every time I did say something she huffed and puffed or rolled her eyes. Which made me uncomfortable for speaking up and I found myself apologizing to her for something she was doing. Once she finished my nails she started packing up her stuff. I was getting my toes finished up, I looked up and noticed she mouthed the amount $55 to the receptionist. I thought, I don't think so. As she was walking out, she never acknowledged me or even said thank you for the patronage. I said "Bye, and thank you"! She half heartedly said it back. Needles to say as I went to pay the receptionist she and I had to discuss all events. She nicely only charged me $30 for the fill. I ended up tipping this girl $10, which was more than I should have considering her service. My nails were awful. They were catching on the sides from her not filing them very good and part of my own nails were sticking out, and her rushing, and the color was uneven. I get home and literally 15 minutes later she sends me this text to my Venmo. (Read all below review) The very next day I went back up there to confront her idol threats. The owner tried to change the meaning of her words but apologized profusely, and offered more services as a courtesy. (Side note: She said she sent her home and suspended her right after I called, convenient). The owner offered to have a another nail tech fix my nails and it was the same man who was sitting in the chair talking to her. She started speaking to him and he ignored her while looking at his phone. She snatched his phone from him and said get off your phone! He looked up at her and said what!?! She told him to fix my nails and the look he gave me was enough for me to know I didn't want any part of his energy touching me, so I walked out. I would never go back in there! I don't advocate for anyone losing the jobs, but that girl should have been fired for the threats she made to me, and him for the matter. She better be glad she sent that little girl home. Vanessa is such a great business owner! She was so hospitable from setting up the appointment, to doing my nails. You can tell she cares about her customers and business, and is easy to chat with. Having come from meetings, she offered me a cup of organic coffee which was really delicious (and I'm sort of a coffee guru ‍).
