Let me start by saying this place is AMAZING! The game is terrifying and the actor during my game (Seth) was FANTASTIC! We arrived a couple weeks ago at the 6:40 time and the building was very creepy. We were greeted by our host (Christen) who seemed panicked and clueless and loved the character. We soon found out that this was not a character she was playing but her actual personality. She didn't know how to give the rules to our group and seemed very confused. She brought us into the room, gave us the story and quickly left. We were immersed in one of the best escape rooms I've EVER done until we got stuck and our experience was interrupted. The clues that are given in this room are very unique because they are all pre-recorded (we asked at the end). My group and I were lost on a puzzle and were repeatedly getting the same clue from "Zoe". It got very annoying and seemed as if they wanted to rush us out. The experience continued on and was very terrifying until our game got interrupted once again, but this time by our game master actually giving us clues in her normal voice behind a door. This is when the overall theme of the room was ruined for us. It felt like they were annoyed with how long we were taking (even though we made it out with 15 mins remaining). The game ended and we were brought back into the waiting room. After we finished and we're heading out, the lady hosting us also grabbed her bag and keys and left with us. It seemed like she rushed us out of the room so she could leave herself. This room would have easily, EASILY been 5 stars, but the game host ruined it for us. I'm looking forward to coming back in the future hopefully for a better experience. Overall great escape room. read more

This is by far the scariest escape room that I have done! The puzzles themselve were pretty simple and linear, but the amount of stress you are under balances out the difficulty! Ash and Seth hosted our game and they were awesome! I definetly recommend this room for first timers and veterans... but only if you like it scary! read more

This escape room was horrifying and tremendously fun. We did the Zoe room. My group and I were scared the entire time. The puzzles weren't too difficult but the atmosphere and the puzzles made up for it. Definitely the best escape room I've done thus far. Highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. My friends and I played both The Last Experiment and Zoe. We had a great time trying to figure out puzzles and working together as a team. The staff were incredibly nice and did a phenomenal job of immersing you in the story. The puzzles were a good level of challenging and we found Zoe, in particular, to be quite scary. The Zoe escape room was GREAT! This was the first escape room for my family and I, and we actually won. It's not too hard, but it's not too easy either. Teamwork is really key to it. You're going to get scared a few times, but that was the fun of it. If you go with family or friends, you will see their true colors. Overall, a really good experience! read more

Zoe was everything other reviews said it would be. Production value was far and away better than any other escape room I've ever been too. I have done a handful of escape rooms & this one was definitely an experience!! The clues and puzzles were moderately challenging, but having the object of fear incorporated really amped up this experience!! They don't have a timer displayed in the room which adds an extra twinge of anxiety, but luckily we finished with an (astonishing) 12 minutes left. My friends and I had a lot of fun here Tuesday night. The Zoe room was very scary! Most of the room took place in the dark which added to the scare factor. My only complaint was maybe the narrator moved a little quickly in moving us along. We are a group that likes to figure things out on our own but I get that this is more of a horror experience than a full on escape room. HOW TERRIFYING!!! I'm at 109 escape rooms. Haunted houses, escape rooms, weird noises outside, things that go bump in the night, all things that DON'T SCARE ME! Zoe though, and her cohorts had me squirming, screaming, and jumping. It was half escape room and half immersive theater. Really loved this experience. Had a lot of fun. We just played Zoe. The team consisted of four people who have played escape rooms before and one who never had. Our game master Dee was AWESOME and Seth was scary as crap. I even jumped! Without really giving away the story, puzzles and what happens, you should be ready to (1) run, (2) work fast, (3) suck up your fear and just go into the dark. Regarding the puzzles, they really are quite easy -- the added layers of darkness and being scared make some of the more elementary puzzles feel difficult. The "Zoe" room from Escapade Games is the 10th Escape Room I have done and it ranks in my top 5 favorite rooms. The puzzles were moderate but it was the scare factor that really made this escape room a winner. The story was straight forward and the game play has you moving from room to room. There are little surprises around every corner that gets your heart pumping. The owner was so friendly and made the experience a great one! My only problem with Escapade Games is "The Last Experiment" room is not opened yet ;) !!!! Cannot wait to come back and take that adventure! A+++++ read more

UPDATE: 1/7/2020: I really want to praise their management because they really took their time to make it up to us and contacting us several times on how they can make our experience better, which they didn't have to do. Honestly, we just probably went on a bad day, given it was Christmas Eve. I'm increasing them from two stars to four because of awesome management and leadership. Plus, we did have fun overall doing Zoe even though there were hiccups. 12/25/2019 I wish I could give more stars since we did have a fun time and some good scares but we felt fairly disappointed with several things at the end of the day. Zoe has been on our bucket list for 2 years now and my husband was finally able to surprise me on my birthday this Christmas Eve with a group of close friends to experience Zoe. I was super hyped up and it just didn't live up to my expectations. When we arrived at 8:45 pm, the game master girl told us to wait outside because they were making magnets. This made no sense to us because we had no idea what the magnets were at that time, but we kindly waited out in the bitter cold even though they requested for us to be present no later than 8:45 pm during the booking. The bathrooms being out of order was a bit disappointing. The game master seemed like she really didn't want to be there, and I get it, it's Christmas Eve... but then don't keep openings for your escape room if you don't want to work at that time. She seemed irritated or high or both. Most escape rooms we've been to have really enthusiastic and fun staff, especially while they are giving you the intro and rules so the game master being so dull and apathetic brought the hype down. The game master also wasn't sure about how many people solve this escape room, first she said 80% then she said 40% then 1/8th of the people... those are all very different amou Now don't get me wrong, we definitely had fun getting scared during this experience BUT there were a lot of things that went wrong. First, one of the clues that should have been set up was missing and two other clues did not work so we had to do it over and over until the game operators just opened the next puzzle piece for us without us trying anything different. Seemingly, they forgot to set up the rooms adequately. When we asked at the end after solving the escape room why we didn't understand one of the parts the game master told us they forgot to leave us a paper with the instructions. We did end up solving the objective with 13 minutes to spare but they gave us so many clues and hints over the mic and under the door... which kind of made it easy, which we weren't fans of either since we enjoy challenges. It may be because they were rushing us through the experience so they can go home early. They literally ran out the door and left the parking lot before we even left. And we get it... it's Christmas Eve.., but maybe don't keep this place open on Christmas eve if you aren't going to be fully professional and prepared. On another note, we couldn't even get the magnet that you can purchase at the end because the guy who made them apparently wasn't available anymore which was a bummer because I would have loved to purchase one since it was my birthday. We asked if they could mail it, which would just take like 45 cents to mail, and they refused and asked if we can pick it up instead... Only one person in our group lives locally (10 miles away) and I didn't want to burden her to pick it up. It also made us feel like why are you even bringing up the info about purchasing a magnet if we can't even buy one right now.. The scares were great! It's definitely a fun room, if it was setup better and the game master was more into it/enthusiastic and we were able to purchase the magnet, this would have been a 5 star review for us. I feel like they should have offered to give a small refund since they messed up by not setting up the rooms correctly or with all the clue pieces. read more

I've only done 2 escape rooms prior to Zoe, both of them horror-themed, but this one really gave me a good spook. I was very impressed with the ambiance they create for you, right from the get-go even. It wasn't just dark in there, it was like.... a heavy darkness. SUPER unsettling, which was perfect. Lots of creepy details and a-ha! moments. My team *did* get a little stuck at some points, but they provide a "narrator" of sorts that will sometimes clue you in on what to do next. In terms of difficulty, this is about the middle of the road for an escape room, but i think it's the perfect hardness for one that makes you crap your pants so often. Thank the stars most of the scares weren't just cheap jumpscares. You actually *feel* peril in your stomach when the game is trying to spook you. No wonder it's the scariest in OC. You were fantastic, Escapade, and i had to sleep with my lights on that night. read more

This is the perfect escape room for those of you that love the horror aspect and scare factor of the experience. I had only been to a few other escape rooms prior, and I can 100% say this room blew my mind. This escape room was incredible because you are constantly trying to figure out puzzles while watching your back and anticipating the next scare. There was a real fear aspect in this experience which made it all the more exciting. Our gamemaster Marissa was AWESOME (and even unintentionally but maybe intentionally scared the crap out of us prior to even entering the escape room, and she was funny) and gets 5 stars from us. I did the Zoe room. Extremely scary! Loved it though! Puzzles weren't too hard to solve but it can be difficult with the live actors chasing you, suspense, fear, and intensity. Actors do touch you, but nothing too bad. It was a great experience and would easily go back again. Perfect if you love scares! I've been on this escape room addiction lately. I will go any chance I get so of course for my birthday i wanted to do an escape room. Out of all the escape rooms we've done this is by far the best one!! You totally feel immersed in the story. Word of advise: go even if you think you'll be scared...I'm a wuss but I would totally do it again! Go with a group of friends who you really like and don't mind getting close to.
