    Overgrown

Did the Overgrown room and it was great! Our game master really made the room experience great. I would rate the difficulty at a 6/10. Fun for beginners and all levels

    Super fun with our group!

Decided to come to an escape room tonight with my friends and we had a blast. We did the Zombie Overgrown room. Very challenging room honestly. We had a hard time with a few of the clues. It was definitely fun and took a lot of teamwork but we didn't finish in time. The clues we got did help. Our hosts were awesome. Logan and Delayne were awesome hosts. The way she helped us and was very attentive. And the way Logan finished the game off and made the ending super fun. He too was a good host and played his part perfectly at end. Great time tonight with an Escape Room for a Friday night out with friends! Highly recommend doing a room with your friends and family or workplace.

I had a great time at Escape Room Era & I loved how engaging our live actor was. This room definitely had more intricate and complex puzzles than I expected, but I loved the difference between physically looking for clues and solving mental puzzles. It was enjoyable for our group of 5 and I would definitely try another escape room from this company again. A special shoutout to Logan for being a chill & awesome game master!

Our group did "The Overgrown," and the theming alongside the puzzles themselves were completely spectacular! Youssef is such a gem and we had an amazing time because of him. Would definitely recommend and return here soon!

Super fun escape room, some of the rooms are challenging but the staff are helpful and take recommendations for changing the rooms definitely recommend, if you scare easily this will have you stuck in place not even wanting to do the escape room. Must try with friends or family recommended for higher age group.

Thank Youssef for being an amazing host and such a good sport to us hooligans. We appreciate you so much! We did the zombie one which was kid friendly. It was a cute experience. I would say it's an easy experience for those familiar with escape rooms. Production value is mid tier with clues and puzzles being very child friendly. Would be a wonderful room for teens and younger. The rooms are fairly small but to be expected since it is located in an office building. Overall, Youssef made the experience memorable.

    Entrance to Christmas at Franklin's

We came back to Escape Room Era with a few friends to do their Christmas at Franklin's room two days before it closed permanently to make way for a new room. The room had a mix of linear and non-linear puzzles. It was decorated well with very Christmasy décor and many of the puzzles definitely tied into the theme. The room is closed now, so I don't mind saying there were three separate rooms, a closet space, and a crawl space, which all had parts of puzzles. There were many new areas being unveiled to keep the adventure going. This room definitely required a lot of teamwork and brainpower. It included word and riddle puzzles, and some of them needed some "out-of-the-box" thinking. We managed to escape at the very end, and we didn't feel so dumb when we learned that this was probably their hardest room. Roxy did a great job as our game-master giving us nudges when needed with a walkie talkie. She also popped into the room "in character" at one point. My girlfriend and I usually shy away from "live actor" rooms, but she told us that the live actors in their rooms only pop in briefly one or two times, and aren't in the room the whole time. I'm glad she told us that because now we definitely want to come back and do their other rooms. We can't wait to see what the new room that replaces this will be.

Post escape (had dinner plans after, don't mind the very no -escape room outfits) Jacob was a great host!

Searched Google for an escape room in Anaheim and Escape Room Era was the top rated in the area. We decided to book The Hide because we wanted an extra challenge :/ Jacob was a great host and gave us really great clues throughout our experience. Would 1000% go back for another room AND it was my first escape room ever so the bar is set high! Thanks Jacob and thanks Escape Room Era for an unforgettable experience.

I had an amazing time here with my friends. We had a group of 5 and the overgrown room was so fun and perfect. We had Logan as our guide and he was so friendly and made this experience so fun. highly recommend!

The Principal's Office! Small but fun/funny room
    Laura H.

We did three rooms here back to back: The Principal's Office, Christmas at Franklin's, and the Christmas Pop-up. Nicholas, Jacob, and one other gentleman whose name I didn't get were our greeters and game masters for that night. We all appreciated how enthusiastic and easy-going they were, despite it being busy near closing time. Their energy made our experience more immersive and entertaining. We also got to meet and hold Jasmine, an absolutely beautiful sweetheart of a cat!! The Principal's Office: the smallest room out of the three we did, but they made up for that with the effects and puzzles. Linear with an interesting theme and funny surprises that caught us WAY off guard haha. Christmas at Franklin's: we enjoyed this partly linear, partly non-linear room. Even though we heard that it was currently their most difficult room, we had fun working as a team. Very festively decorated and family-friendly. Christmas Pop-up: featured some riddles, which were fun to solve. Overall, it seemed to have pretty straightforward puzzles, in addition to some tasks that required quick thinking. Can't say that I'd do The Hide since I'm a huge wuss in scary rooms, but I'll definitely return for The Overgrown. Not sure if anything will replace the now-closed Christmas Pop-up. Free parking in front of the building. There was a sign that said more parking in rear, but it didn't look like a parking lot when we checked it out (it appeared to be a loading dock area). The entrance to this Escape Room Era is through the building's front side, middle door, up the stairs, and left down the hall. There is a compact yet cozy lobby on the right side of the hall, with futons and mini games.

    The Principals Room
    Diana L.

We had so much fun coming here. My husband and I did the principal room escape room together, by ourselves. It has challenging and interactive. The puzzles were great. Jake and Logan did the best impersonations and were super helpful. Can't wait to try another room!

    Derick C.

Came across the escape room at a recommendation from a friend. Decided to try it out. We went for The Overgrown. I had to double check to make sure I was going the right way as the waiting room was up the stairs and to the left. Don't go towards the sounds because that was actually one of the other escape rooms. While i do love the decor and the scenario we found ourselves in, I think the puzzle difficulty could be a bit more complex and immersion could be better, as someone who's done about 10+ or so escape rooms. Where credit is due, the building was originally an office suite like building so one can't just break down walls willy nilly. Shoutout to Nicholas for being a professional and fun host!! There is parking in the front and back but the entrance is a one way entrance. So be mindful and take it slow when you're coming from the East side.

    Christmas Pop Up
    Maggie P.

It's a little tricky to find, located in the second floor of a business center, go through the general entrance in the middle of the plaza. Park in the front. We completed Christmas Pop Up, puzzles were fun and room was very well themed. The staff was super friendly and helpful thru the whole process. I can't wait to try the other rooms!

Overall, the room was kid-friendly, though being as jumpy as I am I did yell a few times. The Fun House is non-linear, didn't have too many red herrings (which I enjoy more than a million clues leading nowhere), and relatively intuitive. We did start going down the wrong path a few times but were redirected (using the order of found clues vs an inherent order vs order established by another clue). The locks were straightforward, no specialized knowledge needed. We were able to come in early after our brunch and use the complimentary lockers for our items. We had to make restitutions to regain lost time for doing something naughty in the game. Our game master Kaylie was such a great part of our room experience- we would have still been muddling around without her! Thanks for the fun!
