My husband and I did the Christmas with Grinch room before it goes away in a couple of days. It's a bit unclear where the entrance is to the store, and where the lobby is, but our muscle memory kicked in from when we did one of their first rooms about 8-9 years ago! We had our time booked for 7pm and didn't start until about 7:15pm. Thankfully we weren't rushed. Though a lock had to be fixed mid-game, Jacob cleverly played the character and got us to "hide" while he corrected the issue. The walkie would go in and out, but for the most part, the puzzles were fun and family friendly. Their other rooms are scary and also have characters in them, but this was nice and creative with energy and fun for all ages. Jacob was giving us an overview of the different rooms to help us gauge if we'd want to do them or not, since I expressed I do NOT do scary. We'll see. He's almost convinced me to try one of them out. I'd recommend trying out this location, especially if you're fine with scary and have time to spare. read more

This was such a wonderfully creative, crafted and thoughtful escape room! I did the principles office and it was beautifully decorated and I was so impressed by how well the experience was presented and executed! The whole process was clear and we had so much fun navigating the clues and immersing ourselves in the experience. Without giving any spoilers, there were so many cool details about this escape room that truly thinks out side of the box compared to other escape rooms. They have different kinds of escape rooms for all levels of escape room enthusiasts. I highly highly recommend you guys give them a try!! I'm not a big Halloween person but I'm definitely into a creepy experience with puzzles. That time of the season is here and what a cool way to kick it off. I'm not going to give any kind of details away but let me tell you it's an awesome and exciting time to be with a group of people trying to escape on a time crunch. We happened to play their newest game called Psycho and it was definitely a blast with a little bit of tense moments. The crew that was helping us through the process were super cool and informative and so a big shoutout to Youssef, Tiffany and BC! We did the new Psycho room with Logan, Tiffany & Deepak and they were amazing! The room is the perfect amount of scary for horror enthusiasts and the game masters were great. They were super accommodating and gave us really helpful hints. We're too scared to do it again but 10/10 from us! read more

What a thrilling exp The Hide was! The escape room did a good job mesmerizing us and keeping us on the edge of our seats. Enthralling immersion via use of lighting, music, and SFX. + At the beginning, something happened with the light fixture. We were all wondering if that was intentional xD ominous~ - The part where we saw a paper with many blanks was confusing. We thought we had to fill in the blanks, cuz isn't that the point? Turns out the blanks were supposed to be ignored?? . At one point where we all had to scramble for hiding spots, my glasses got knocked off. - In the waiting room, lotta the puzzles and their solutions were incomplete. - Something confusing about the clue via hands pointing fingers. We asked the staff afterwards, but they weren't sure either. I think the finger formation coulda been clearer and fixed rigid. One hand had 2 fingers fully extended, and a third finger partially extended, so we weren't sure if that hand was indicating 2 or 3. + Decent amount of parking. . They give you a walkie-talkie to keep in touch with the gamemaster throughout your session, which is cool given the mission and more fitting than if the gamemaster kept in touch via intercom. - Unfortunately, this radio can be accidentally turned down or switched channels amidst the horror chaos without your knowledge. + Love that this is the first escape room we've ever been to where the staff give the team one camera to record everything so we can save for fun later. - Downside is the camera recording may be accidentally paused amidst the chaos, and we wouldn't realize we're losing valuable footage. - They don't bookmark any highlights or intense moments for your convenience, so you'll have to find those yourselves as you replay the footage. I heard the staff get bonus for name-drops but forgot the names of our gamemasters, so I'll throw a buncha random ones out. Conan, Youssef, Kai, Sherlock... did I match anyone? Decided to come to an escape room tonight with my friends and we had a blast. We did the Zombie Overgrown room. Very challenging room honestly. We had a hard time with a few of the clues. It was definitely fun and took a lot of teamwork but we didn't finish in time. The clues we got did help. Our hosts were awesome. Logan and Delayne were awesome hosts. The way she helped us and was very attentive. And the way Logan finished the game off and made the ending super fun. He too was a good host and played his part perfectly at end. Great time tonight with an Escape Room for a Friday night out with friends! Highly recommend doing a room with your friends and family or workplace. read more

We came back to Escape Room Era with a few friends to do their Christmas at Franklin's room two days before it closed permanently to make way for a new room. The room had a mix of linear and non-linear puzzles. It was decorated well with very Christmasy décor and many of the puzzles definitely tied into the theme. The room is closed now, so I don't mind saying there were three separate rooms, a closet space, and a crawl space, which all had parts of puzzles. There were many new areas being unveiled to keep the adventure going. This room definitely required a lot of teamwork and brainpower. It included word and riddle puzzles, and some of them needed some "out-of-the-box" thinking. We managed to escape at the very end, and we didn't feel so dumb when we learned that this was probably their hardest room. Roxy did a great job as our game-master giving us nudges when needed with a walkie talkie. She also popped into the room "in character" at one point. My girlfriend and I usually shy away from "live actor" rooms, but she told us that the live actors in their rooms only pop in briefly one or two times, and aren't in the room the whole time. I'm glad she told us that because now we definitely want to come back and do their other rooms. We can't wait to see what the new room that replaces this will be. read more

This place was amazing our first time here and it definitely won't be our last. Our host, Jacob, was completely into it and really elevated the whole experience. We did three rooms here back to back: The Principal's Office, Christmas at Franklin's, and the Christmas Pop-up. Nicholas, Jacob, and one other gentleman whose name I didn't get were our greeters and game masters for that night. We all appreciated how enthusiastic and easy-going they were, despite it being busy near closing time. Their energy made our experience more immersive and entertaining. We also got to meet and hold Jasmine, an absolutely beautiful sweetheart of a cat!! The Principal's Office: the smallest room out of the three we did, but they made up for that with the effects and puzzles. Linear with an interesting theme and funny surprises that caught us WAY off guard haha. Christmas at Franklin's: we enjoyed this partly linear, partly non-linear room. Even though we heard that it was currently their most difficult room, we had fun working as a team. Very festively decorated and family-friendly. Christmas Pop-up: featured some riddles, which were fun to solve. Overall, it seemed to have pretty straightforward puzzles, in addition to some tasks that required quick thinking. Can't say that I'd do The Hide since I'm a huge wuss in scary rooms, but I'll definitely return for The Overgrown. Not sure if anything will replace the now-closed Christmas Pop-up. Free parking in front of the building. There was a sign that said more parking in rear, but it didn't look like a parking lot when we checked it out (it appeared to be a loading dock area). The entrance to this Escape Room Era is through the building's front side, middle door, up the stairs, and left down the hall. There is a compact yet cozy lobby on the right side of the hall, with futons and mini games. read more

I love how interactive the rooms are here as well as how camp the staff members put on the performance I genuinely would return and try their other rooms. Youseff (sorry if i misspelled your name) was very accommodating and had great energy. My friend brought her younger cousins and the escape room we went to (principal's room themed?) was age appropriate and fun for these teens and us adults. The decor is *peak*. Unfortunately, this location is not accessible friendly. For context, I had a sprained ankle and currently use a crutch. This escape room is on the second floor of the building and there's only stairs. There's no ramp or elevator. But there's a lot of seating if your walking ability is limited and need to take breaks. I didn't use the restrooms there so I'm not sure if those are ADA accessible either. But after chatting with the staff, this might be the case building wide. read more

Came across the escape room at a recommendation from a friend. Decided to try it out. We went for The Overgrown. I had to double check to make sure I was going the right way as the waiting room was up the stairs and to the left. Don't go towards the sounds because that was actually one of the other escape rooms. While i do love the decor and the scenario we found ourselves in, I think the puzzle difficulty could be a bit more complex and immersion could be better, as someone who's done about 10+ or so escape rooms. Where credit is due, the building was originally an office suite like building so one can't just break down walls willy nilly. Shoutout to Nicholas for being a professional and fun host!! There is parking in the front and back but the entrance is a one way entrance. So be mindful and take it slow when you're coming from the East side. read more

No pictures of the room for no spoilers but we LOVE doing escape rooms and stumbled on this one yesterday! (Have a picture of Aladdin the cat - building owner's cat instead!) We decided to do "The Hide" with 7 people which was our very FIRST horror escape room. All I can say is I was the perfect amount of scared, on my toes but excited for this escape room? They give you a camera (also acts like a light in the room) so you can record your group and your reactions as you try to escape the "murderer." Another twist they do have LIVE ACTORS (staff) that come in during the escape rooms to make it even more scary and fun. There's absolutely no touching so everyone is safe and there's safety precautions to make sure no one gets hurt. We loved having Connor and Jacob as our game masters and they've turned me into a horror escape room fan! If you ever get a chance to come try it out, this one is 1000000% worth it! (Even if it's slightly more pricy than a normal room $59) read more

We recently did The Hide at Escape Room Era in Anaheim, and WOW! This was hands-down one of the most immersive and intense escape rooms we've ever done. The story pulls you in immediately, and every puzzle felt perfectly balanced (challenging enough to make us think, but never frustrating). The way each clue tied into the narrative was incredibly well done. Major props to our Game Master, Connor and the Scare Actor Shivan (spelling?). Connor kept us on track without breaking the flow, and Shivan.... Oh Shivan... Let's just say we're still checking over our shoulders... You both made the experience feel disturbingly real (in the best way possible). Honestly, we'll probably be traumatized from horror escape rooms for a while! What a great experience! I have never been that interested in escape rooms because I'm not great at puzzles and a time limit makes things more stressful for me. Steven has been wanting to go for years, but not many people that we know do. I decided to surprise him with an escape room experience for Christmas and I was able to get two friends to join us. We decided to start with the principal's office as our escape room, partly because it was up to four people and we wouldn't be with strangers for our first experience. We were put in detention and had to figure out our way out. I would go into details as to what happened, but that would spoil it for people. Connor was an excellent host and made our experience great. He communicated with me through text throughout the visit and kept us laughing. They can really hear and see you because I was surprised he knew clues that we were talking about. I am now a fan but I'm ready to go to more now! I'm sure Steven is happy about that. We did the grinch room that they opened recently. We've done other rooms with this company and we enjoyed all of them so far. The grinch room was fun because of the interactive element and surprises. They had a cute clever story with the room. The decorations and ambiance could use a little work as some of the decor and items were broken but it didn't detract from the experience as a whole. Great experience! Reason for visit: Used this spot to host a surprise birthday gathering. The exterior is just a normal office looking building so it didn't give away the surprise. Average cost: Approximately $42 per person Theme: The Overgrown (Zombie) (non-horror) Experience: Fun Zombie themed escape room. Its not scary, but thats good because 2 of the group would not have allowed it (sad faced). Puzzles were rewarding and space was creatively done. We hit a snag here and there but the time given was just enough to finish with minutes to spare! Staff: We had a great individual who came in shortly after our arrival to greet and update us, (Sawyer?). He played his "Overgrown" part very well! Wasn't too overbearing during the escape room, only chiming in one time with a riddle... oh, well two times, but we dont speak about that second time... Will be back! We are hooked! read more
