Great plan. Poor execution. Puzzles were a stretch. We travel and have made it a goal to drop in to an escape room in every new town we visit. This falls on the bottom half of the bunch. This escape room is awesome! My group did Ransom and it was really immersive and had tons of puzzles to solve. We were one puzzle away from escaping, but still had a great time. They also monitor very well and provided a lot of clues. read more

Called Last night and asked if they could get 5 people in and they said yes. ( I told them it would be a 40 min drive for us) and that would be pushing their closing time at 10:30. they said that was fine as long as it wasn't passed 10:45. So we arrived and all of a sudden they have nothing open. Some 16 yr old girl told me "that someone got the room by the time we got there". A group of 4 friends and I were paired up with these other 3 women and we all had a blast! This was all of our first times doing an escape room but we all promise to go back for the other rooms now! This was a Great time for our family to spend time together working to solve a problem (rather than create many). We went as a family of four (two adults and two children - 10 and 5) and just completed the Prison Escape with 3 minutes to spare! Staff was great and Demi, our guide, was so patient and super with the kids. Even our 5 year old had fun contributing to the puzzles and my daughter (10) solved a couple on her own. This was just one of the weekend's activities to celebrate my birthday. I admit, we were a little bit hung over, but it was hard! Even if we had had two hours I do not think we could have gotten out. This was even more fun than we expected. We did ransom with a 10% success rate and completed (well 30 seconds over, but we take credit for success!) . Played in the Prison Escape room! Had a blast! Really intriguing puzzles and we almost didn't get out in the 60 minute time!! We were under the gun to solve all the codes in an hour - but we were laughing and having such a good time we ALMOST didn't make it out!! There were couples, and groups. One lady walked in with two groups of teens for a birthday party when we were there. We will be coming back when my family visits from out of state to do the Davy Jones Locker Room next month. I wasn't really sure what to expect going in, but found this to be an excellent time. I was in the most difficult room (Ransom) with 5 other people and although we didn't escape in 60 we made it pretty far through. If you don't know what Escape im 60 is all about, the goal is to follow clues, open locks, and decipher cryptic messages to obtain a final code to get out of the room. I would definitely recommend this to families or groups of friends wanting to do something fun and unusual. This would be a great team-building activity as well. read more

This was our first trip to Escape in 60. We live locally and have been wanting to find a fun outing to do with friends. This was the perfect activity! We had 4 people in our group and only ended up having 8 people total in our room. We did the Prison Break room and absolutely loved it! Escape in 60 is in walking distance to tons of restaurants and parking lots. Another thing we loved was the military discount. I think this is a really nice discount to offer to people. Our guide was Jacob and he really did an amazing job! He was enthusiastic throughout the entire puzzle and really made it a fun atmosphere. He made sure we had a full understanding before we began and was great to answer any questions at the end. We would all highly recommend getting him as a guide! As for the room itself, it was so cool! You would think knew something and then it was the complete opposite. We needed up finishing this with almost 14 minutes left on the clock. This was our first time ever doing something like this so we didn't know what to expect. We had such a great time and are already planning out our next trip! read more

My siblings and I were in Charleston visiting and we decided to check it out. This place did not disappoint. The hour flies by so quick. Everyone in the group (including a couple who joined our group) contributed to help figure out the puzzles. Teamwork is definitely the key. Have always wanted to do an escape room and I had a family of 7 with me this time and we were all hesitant. I think they thought it would be boring and I have to admit, I thought the price was kind of high at $28 person. But I figured, what they heck, this would be a great family time. It ended up being unbelievably fun! None of us had any idea it was going to be what it turned out to be. There are no words to express how intricate, interesting and involved the company has made this. Today we went to escape in 60. There we're three of us in our group and nobody else signed up for the same time slot, could have up to 8 in the room and may be placed with others. We did the prison escape room. It starts with your introduction to your guide (ours was Jay) who gives you the run down before leaving the room (wardens office). This is when the clock starts and you have 60 min to escape. From There you have to solve a series of puzzles and clues to move on in the game. there were a lot of puzzles and clues in this room and you will use every bit of your time (we had about 2 minutes and some change on the clock when we escaped). I would highly recommend this attraction to anyone who may be in the area. We had a great time and look forward to trying another room in the future. read more

Top notch staff and great fun in both the Davy Jones Locker and the Prison room we escaped from. Seconds to spare in one and six minutes to spare in the other. Very creative and challenging. Our family did the Jail break room and we escaped with 2 minutes remaining. It was fun and exciting all the way through with just the right amount of challenge for our family. You can bring kids but I don't know how much they can contribute if they are under 13 years old. There are a lot of clues and it's fast paced. With family in town for an anniversary we were looking for fun things to do. A friend underage for the nightlife and my sister seven months pregnant we decided to give this a try. What an awesome experience! We enjoyed it so much we took our parents on the last day of their vacation! Definitely fun for any age. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Really great place for young and old. I did this with my two teenage sons and another mom and her 10 year old daughter. I was shocked at how well everyone worked together and how fun and difficult it was.
