This was so fun!! My roomie and I decided to try this place for fun. I called in earlier to book a spot and it was really easy to reserve on a Friday night. They were really patient with us as we walked in when we were chosing what escape room we wanted to try. It's split by difficulty level and he was nice enough to patiently show us all the options and their trailers. The whole VR experience was great. This is different than a normal escape room where there are riddles, but the programmers got really creative! You can drink potions, catch flying keys, throw things... Our helper, Sam, was really wonderful and helpful. He even helped us record us during our VR so we can see how silly we were. I would definitely come back and recommend this place. We brought our teenage son and his friend for his birthday. The four of us played the Manor escape room. We had so much fun!!!!! It combined VR gaming, an escape room where we all had to work together and a scary house but it was not too scary at all. Worth every penny. I went here for the 1st time with my boyfriend and his 11 year old son. I did not expect it to feel so real, but it did! The game we played was the pirate escape and your pirate lizards so of course you know it's not you. But when your in the game WOW... you really feel like you're picking up the bombs and throwing them over the ship. I loved out so much I took my nephews to another VR room in Long Beach and it was not as good at all. I've gone back now 2 times boyfriends and his kid and some friends and I can't wait to go again. I highly recommend escape to VR, I have done three sessions here on various of their games, the underwater game, the medieval game, and also A Star Wars like Game and they were all amazing. It is such a fun group activity, all the guys that work there are super nice and accommodating, I can't wait to do more virtuality experiences through them. I am in my mid-30s, however I have also gone with my parents who are in their 60s and they had such a great time, whether you're going for a special occasion, or just to do something different you will not be disappointed. And the first time I went it was kind of hard to find, the actual virtual reality room is above the mattress store in the parking lot there, I called to make reservations and they're super quick to respond, like I said you won't be disappointed I've been to many other VR places and they don't compare. I had never done VR or an escape room before and this was so much fun. The staff was great and helpful. The person in our group who did the booking was told that the experience she had picked was one of the harder ones and they explained to us about the other experiences and what the difficulty was for those ones and let us change to an easier experience (osiris) since it was our first time. It was a blast to work with my friends and figure out the tasks we needed to do. When we completed our experience early the staff let us play a mini game which was also highly entertaining. When we finished we all agreed that it was so much more fun then we had anticipated. Can't wait to go back and try the other experiences! read more

So I only tried VR once before at Wonder Spaces but THIS WAS ON A WHOLE OTHER LEVEL! One of our friends had been here before and told us how much fun she had so we all came by this past weekend to check it out! They're located in Encinitas in a convenient shopping center that has tons of parking (always important to me). The suite is upstairs and when you walk in, you see tech all around you! There is a big room with green walls that they called the grid, and inside that grid is where you enter another world through VR! The owner was super cool, very personable. His daughter was there helping out and she was soo helpful describing the different choices we had to play. We ended up selecting a game where we are fighting a dragon! OMG - it was so fun and really difficult! You think that because you know that it's not real that you won't get sucked into it but I'm telling you right now - your brain gets tricked! It was nuts! You find yourself totally ducking, or trying to step over ropes that you know aren't there but you just can't help it! It was such a unique experience. They have so many games to choose from and the technology is constantly improving. These guys are really in the center of it all and even develop some of their own games! I think this is something that everyone should try at least once, and I am pretty sure most people won't stop there! My husband, my two 17 year old daughters, and I have done the VR Escape rooms at this location multiple times and have had a blast each time. The facility doesn't look like much, however, none of that matters once you are inside your virtual reality. The graphics are awesome and the puzzles are complex, but as a team, we have made it out of each one. We have done the Osirus (my favorite), the Dragons Lair, the Haunted Mansion, and yesterday we did the time travel and the runaway train, recommend all of them! We went as a family of four with one kid on the younger end of the spectrum for what would normally be allowed at a VR place. The manager was helpful in suggesting the right game suitable for a younger child, and he gave us helpful personal attention when needed. We had so much fun. It was my first attempt at VR, and I was impressed with how immersive it was. The equipment didn't cause nausea or feel overwhelming. The others in my family had been to another VR place before, but that one only had standard games, not an escape room. The escape room was great because we could all work together. Us friends had many moments where we busted out laughing as we had some trouble figuring out the puzzles at times, but we are proud to say that we completed it in time. The owner Sam was very kind in helping us set up the appointment and giving recommendations about which escape room we should choose. There were so many to choose from! I am definitely coming back to try another with more friends. If you have never experienced VR before, this is a place to go. Sam was very kind in letting us play a mini VR game after the hour, since we had a little time left. He even offered us water since we were all sweating from the goggles and the summer heat. Awesome experience! We did the Beyond Medusa's Gate Escape Room Experience here today and it was SUPER cool. We actually had 8 people in our party so we split into teams of 4 and both did the same escape room back to back. Most of us are gamers but not all of us had used VR before. One of our friends doesn't have a lot of video game experience and she had a blast. It is so immersive. I don't want to give much away about the game play but you are in a cave it feels like you ARE actually in that cave. For this game, you don't physically walk around but you do move your body a lot (turning around, simulated shooting bows/arrows, crouching down, etc.). Parts of it felt very real. You solve little puzzles but it's very action/adventure based than mind twisting puzzles you get in a traditional escape room. Even if you aren't a "gamer", it is so much fun and you should be able to pick it up quickly because it doesn't involve complex button pushing. One of the employees, Sam, was very helpful and incredibly nice. He made sure we all had a great time. I HIGHLY recommend it. read more
