    Excellent Mexican food. Sopes!

The place is 24/7 according to their sign. Excellent food. Tortillas are made to.perfection. Since they are in the middle of the produce market everything is super fresh. BEST CHICHARRON SOPE I EVER HAD IN TAMPA. Certainly not a place for food snobs. You have to.dive into the food experience. This is how we Mesoamericans (Mexico and Central America) eat street foods. It was great!

One word: Freshness. Situated among the produce stalls, this place is a hidden diamond in the rough. Authentic Mexican. Great tacos! Enchiladas Honduranas are mouth watering good. Salsa roja - muy Caliente.

Love the Steak tacos! Fresh food and reasonably prices. Staff is friendly, easy location off Hillsborough ave. I will be returning.

All was inviting, and a great way to remove yourself from the very busy atmosphere of the Marriott lobby which was crowded. We sat at the bar since we loved to be surrounded by the activity of the place. We started off with their special spicy margarita and ceviche. Loved that it was more Peruvian style, and not the tomato based one. More my preference of the lime taste. Then for dinner my husband had the strip steak, and I had the chicken fajitas. Both were flavorable, especially the sides, especially the corn cake type side, that were served with the strip steak. Both were seasoned well. My husband's flank steak, though delicious, was overcooked. The bar tender was attentive and answered all our questions about the menu, and provided some great suggestion including which entrees were most popular and also her favorites. Definitely will come back. Will also order the carne asada again but make sure to tell the server to cook the steak more medium rare than medium.

Orders were incomplete or wrong. No one came back to "see how everything was" or to clear the table. We flagged someone to bring the tab. They charged 20% for service charge. This was our first and last time.

We started with chips and salsa which set a great tone, the tortilla chips were perfectly salty and the salsa was solid, no notes there. It was also Taco Tuesday which means one free drink with a taco order, so naturally I had a classic margarita (also solid!) and went with the al pastor tacos because the sweet plantains on top had my name written all over them. Full disclosure: our waitress actually recommended the chicken, carne asada, or birria... so I can't say I wasn't warned lol! The pork did run a little dry, but the flavors were genuinely enjoyable and the authentic corn tortillas were a highlight for me. The yucca fries were a touch dry as well but still decent with the accompanying sauce. My friend also let me try her octopus, not typically my thing, but the flavors were nicely done! Honestly this feels like one of those spots where I just ordered the wrong things for my first visit, which means I have to go back and do it right. The chicken, carne asada, or birria are calling my name next time. Would definitely recommend checking it out, especially if you can catch happy hour!
