You walk in and order from the counter. They have a menu above but no prices so you are kind of in the dark. All the tacos we ordered were $4 and were delicious. The chips & queso were $5. Tuesdays are $2 tacos! Decent taco place near Intl mall. Like others said, the individual tacos are too small for $4. The lengua had good flavor. But the al pastor pork was too chopped up for my liking. The quesabirrias were delicious and come 3 per order. The consommé was not too salty and light cinnamon flavor. Muy Bien! We came to this restaurant after looking through Yelp pictures and I'm sorry I didn't take any. From the pictures, I could tell this was going to be authentic Mexican food. Owner recommended the el pastor and her recommendation was delicious. The red sauce has some kick and the spice was perfect with the chorizo & el pastor. Preferred the green sauce on the steak. The menu is reasonably priced for the amount of food you receive. You could eat healthy or be naughty, I felt satisfied and practiced portion control. I could have easily inhaled two more. Went there for Taco Tuesday and it's $2 per selected tacos (just fyi, fish taco is not included and normal price is $4). The tacos were well seasoned and tasty but tiny. Their sauces are fire!!' Can be super spicy so think twice before you squeeze lol. Service was quick and friendly. We went there before 6pm and it took about 10' but I heard there is usually very long lines. This is a cozy restaurant with friendly staff and tasty food! Mainly a taco menu but that do have "Specials" as well as breakfast options. We opted for a breakfast burrito and a costillos plate that was spicy and cane with rice and refried beans. This dish was spicy enough to clear my sinuses better than my allergy medication. The pork meat was juicy and the beans and rice were perfect. We had the burrito made to order and it was just as expected, a good thing! Tiny taco shop which packs a big punch! Taqueria Emanuel is located in the shopping center at the corner of Columbus Drive and MacDill Avenue. The signage isn't very big and it's made with a dark background (not a wise choice) so I had to take a guess which one was the right place because Waze said so. It's clean and well lit inside with a handful of table seating including a couple of high bar tables which you have to weave through to get to the order counter at the back. But it's a small place so short walk. I received a gruff hello from the man at the counter which he muttered only after I greeted him to make sure he was ready to listen to me as he had a Bluetooth in his ear. There is no menu board on the wall or table side individually just a menu card at the counter. That's a bit silly, how are people supposed to know what they want to order before getting to the register? Anyhow I browsed a bit since I was there for one thing only: birria tacos which Yelpers said were served here. I didn't see them on the menu so when I asked the man who confirmed they did serve them although the menu lists them as Quesobirria. My wait wasn't long at all but I was also the only one in line. There were customers already seated with their meals inside. I opened my to- go bag before leaving and wow, the food looked super tasty before I ever took a bite. My mouth was watering while I took my requisite picture for my fellow Yelpers, then I drove with my food back to the office to dig in. Yummy, yummy, YUMMY! Such good food. My only complaint is the shells were a bit soggy so the three of them were sticking to each other. And I was wearing white pants so I had to be very careful when picking a taco up and biting in. We really enjoyed the simple atmosphere, low music, friendly people and of course the food! She got the Jamaican water, which was sweet and delicious. We started with the chips and salsa. They are definitely homemade. The salsa comes out warm and it's not chunky more of a sauce. The tacos came out soon after. I ordered an Al Pastor Burrito today & while I thought the burrito tasted good, I was very disappointed at the fact that the burrito consisted of primarily beans & rice with Al Pastor added in. Not what I expected at all & I was very very disappointed. That and the fact that I paid $11+ dollars for a jazzed up rice, bean & cheese burrito (with meat added) I have had plenty of authentic Mexican food & this is Not it. Do not reccomend. While in town I had a craving for tacos. So I used Yelp to find one near where I was shopping. Luckily their was a well reviewed location nearby. Upon arriving I was greeted by the staff very warmly. I ordered four tacos, 2 el pastor, 1 lingua, and 1 carnitas. I also ordered some horchata which I'd a must for taqueria places to have as far as I'm concerned. My tacos arrived very quickly and I paired them with green and red sauce that "appears" homemade. After coming here for so many years, it's time for an update. They still make my favorite tacos in Tampa. Their lengua is delicate and rich at the same time. Their campechanos are my favorite -- the picante pico de gallo and the crunchy pork rinds really elevate the dish beyond what I typically taste in Tampa. Their asado tacos and chorizo and potato tacos are also super solid choices. But my new favorite thing? Their lamb quesobirria tacos. They do quesobirria in either beef or lamb. Many local places do beef quesobirria, but Taqueria Emanuel also offers lamb (supplies limited, so call ahead). It is just heavenly. Great lamb flavor that just melts in the mouth with the mild peppery consomme and the right amount of cheese, cilantro and onion. They offer limited dining in, but I still am only eating take-out. I prefer to get it myself, but they do work with UberEats and DoorDash if you'd prefer delivery. The store itself is kept clean, and there's plenty of parking in the mini mall lot. read more

You won't come here for expansive seating or eye popping interior decor, however if you are looking for unforgettable Quesabirria or Cochinita Pibil taco, you can't go wrong stopping by here. You order by the taco from most of their offerings except the Quesabirria which come as a set of two. Each of their taco came freshly made on their homemade tortilla, fresh ingredients and fixings. Even the Quesabirria dipping sauce tasted freshly made. My favorite here is Cochinita Pibil filled with shredded pork topped with lettuce, red onions and habanero peppers. This spicy taco is bursting with flavor with an even balance of spice. The red onion add a touch of visual flare to the taco. The Quesabirria is served hot, crunchy and perfectly filled to prevent any of the stuffing spilling out while you dip and bite. A most satisfying set of taco if you are in the mood for these. The El Pastor taco are filled with juicy steak cooked to perfection and topped with cilantro and old iced onion. Simplicity is best when it comes to tasty taco, in this case. I found the staff to be very polite, and efficient in taking my order and bring out my food to the small high top table. There are bench seating along the side walls in this cozy taqueria. My sister and I were heading through Tampa back from an appointment and craving birria tacos at 9:30 in the morning I plugged a search in Yelp with low hopes but saw the reviews for this place and we skkrrt skrrrted right over. A small place in a little strip we ordered- 1 order of birria tacos (shredded beef with consomé), 1 housemate horchata, chips and queso, a cochinita pibil taco, and a steak and cheese empanada, the decently extensive menu did not have prices listed at all, but all of this and a bottle of water came out to a little over $30. The chips are house made fresh fried tortillas-crunchy and the queso was REALLY GREAT-smooth consistently and very flavorful without being spicy (my sister is a weenie), the birria tacos came out next and after my first bite I think she thought I was being dramatic, until she took one and had an audible mouthgasm. THE BEST birria tacos we've ever had. The pibil taco was good, but but didn't hold a candle after the queso and birria, the empanada came out at the end of our visit, it's unique-it was essentially the shredded beef and white cheese stuffed into tamale dough, pressed, fried and topped with sour cream and shredded lettuce. It was good, but not a typical empanada and didn't have the ratio of filing to wrap that I was seeking but wouldn't *not* order it again. The horchata was delicious, very creamy, and not overly done with cinnamon-as with most places they do not offer refills, but it was smaller drink than most authentic places I get them at. Small restaurant, with limited seating in a strip mall, they had a specials board behind the counter we didn't see until we were leaving that had several unique offerings will be checking that out on our next visit. We got the chicken tostada for our five-year-old and it was the perfect amount of food for her. They allow take out and they are part of Bite Squad and Uber eats. They take all credit cards, only have non-alcoholic drinks and a menu that is limited but has a wide variety of tacos. Hmm, can't say I enjoyed this experience much. First off, prices are not shown anywhere because the menu at the counter is old and they are all blacked out. If comparing the actual prices to those found here on Yelp from just 4 months ago, they were 20-25% more. I don't think over $3+ is a fair price for a small street taco on a 4-inch tortilla (that's 2 bites!). My tacos had less than 2 tablespoons of all ingredients. The value certainly isn't there at all. Beyond the price, I just didn't love the food and felt like they cut a lot of corners. The Campechano didn't have any chunks of asada in it, and it's like my favorite taco - so that was a let-down. The Al Pastor was more like a pork patè paste, and the tacos were all just sort of the same thing. I see the great reviews, so I'd have to say it's seriously over-hyped The tortillas were actually delicious though, but everything else was a letdown. And I can't justify the price here. 8 small bites of food for $13+ is just not a great lunch. read more
