Well, the answer is yes. So I decided to do the smart thing, shop local. I bought my bracelet at another local jewelry store, but was far from WOW-ed there. The employees at Leder's, actually spent time with me. I had an idea of what I wanted, which made it a bit easier. Buying Pandora charms, takes some looking. A patient jeweler, allows you that. Seriously, Leder's Jewelers, had quantity and beyond small business hospitality, during my holiday shopping. I have been here now, several times and each and every time, I am treated with the utmost customer service. It seems everyone and their mom has a Pandora bracelet...and now mine does! I got her the holiday gift box which Leder's had plenty of. It came with a Pandora clasp bracelet, the "Black Friday" present charm and two spacers. It was a great start and a deal all for $200. The sales woman made sure she checked and fitted my mom's wrist. She even personally gift wrapped the box. It was a great experience. Like most jewelry stores, you need to ring a bell to get in. The store itself is long with a view into the back behind the counters to see where the jewelers do their "jeweling." Everything inside shimmers, and shines. The jewelery is set into stations by their designer brand. They offer the newest Pandora Jewelry catalogs on the counter so you can bring it home and start your wish list. If you ask they will clean your bracelet or you can have it steam cleaned for free (which takes an hour.) The time before last, the salesman I had actually suggested similar charms as I pointed to one and said "Can I see that charm?" He also pointed out the newest charms which was cool because sometimes looking down into the sea of silver and gold, they can all start looking alike. I can't wait to go back and get more charms. My wishlist is up to like 10 pages! Time to make a trip to Leder's!

Examples: Replacing battery watches. Whenever I have a battery replaced, Jerry will replace it and say, "no charge, you have lifetime coverage." They mark the inside of the watch that tells them I had purchased a lifetime plan. Of course I don't remember which watches I had done that on. It was over 10 years ago. They are so honest! They have repaired many pieces of my costume jewelry. They have absolutely no value. They do the job as though they were worth millions. I did not know what to do with an old ring that was valuable, but had no use for it. After discussing options with Tony, he transformed it into a beautiful pair of earrings that I wear all the time. I asked Tony to restore a vintage watch that belonged to my grandmother. It was not a simple procedure. It took many months. I was hoping to have it by Christmas, to give to my mom. But it wasn't ready. Although I was disappointed, Tony communicated with me each step of the way. He needed to send the watch out to one of his watchmakers as he could not perform the task in house. He was dependent upon their expertise and their timetable. He would call me every so often to update me on the progress. Although I was frustrated, I understood and appreciated his updates. At one point, he called to tell me that the watch was just about ready. However, he was not satisfied with the final product and asked the watchmaker to redo or alter something. When I finally received the watch, I was astounded by the exquisiteness of the final product. I gave it to my mom on Valentine's Day. She cried at the beauty of her mother's watch. I asked Tony to restore a vintage ring for me. The stone needed to be replaced and updated. A real stone would have cost many thousands of dollars. I then asked about my other options. We discussed imitations, quality and price. I was hoping to have it by my mother's birthday in a few weeks. I gave him a dollar amount that I was willing to spend. He called 10 days later and said my ring was ready for pick up. When I saw the ring, I was blown away. He reviewed the process he went through, finding exactly what I wanted. The cost was 1/3 the price I was willing to spend. Amazing!
